Premiere Elements 10 mise à jour windows 8.1

Bonjour,

My Premiere Elements 9 on Windows 7 no longer opens (it always did before); now at the welcome screen it "blinks" once then hangs, without any of the components initializing- please help

If that does not work, then I would see this FAQ Entry: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/792580?tstart=0
It starts with a general checklist for getting PrE set up properly, then goes into some links on tuning up one's system and OS, and finally has links to many troubleshooting articles, plus tools to help one troubleshoot issues.

  • Trying to install Premiere Elements 10 on Windows 7 but keep getting error message 'A reduced set of content has been installed' - help!

We bought Premiere Elements 10/Photoshop Element 10 a while ago and it worked brilliantly on our Window XP machine, but since we moved to Windows 7 last year we can't get Premiere Elements 10 to work properly and always get the error message 'A reduced set of content (Instant Movie Themes, Title and Menu templates, etc) has been installed. You can install the full content by inserting your Content DVD or downloading it. Do you want to install now?'. So I've tried reinserting the DVDs and installing them. I've uninstalled all the software and started again, but each time I get the same message at the end of the process. I've spoken to the computer shop I bought the computer from and they say Windows 7 is incompatible, but that doesn't seem to be what the Adobe web site says. Please, any advice welcome as I've got a year's worth of videos I need to edit.
    Thank you!

Are you working with Windows 7 32 bit or 64 bit? What video card/graphics card does your computer use? NVIDIA GeForce? And, are you doing your download and installing with antivirus and firewall(s) disabled?
Premiere Elements 12 is compatible with Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 64 bit.
If you have tried to obtain the Premiere Elements 10 Content from the installation disc labelled for Content for your version and operating system and that is not working, then can try downloading and installing the Content from the following Adobe link if you do not decide to click on the message to initiate the content download from within the program.

  • Transferring Premiere Elements 11 from Windows 7 to Windows 8 computer question

Do i have to use my backups to reinstall Premiere Elements correctly, or can i simply add the internal drive i used in Windows 7 strictly for Premiere, move it to the new Windows 8 computer, reinstall the Elements program, and direct it to the proper hard drive?  I have current incremental backups on a NAS drive, but it seems like i should just be able to use the internal drive that already has everything on it.
    Thanks,

    awgriffey2013
What do you have -  purchased installation files/serial number from an online purchase from Adobe direct or installation disc with serial number purchased in boxed packaging from an authorized reseller.
If you do not plan on using 11 on Windows 7 thereafter,
Deactivate 11 on 7, Help Menu/Deactivate - close out of there
    Uninstall Control Panel Route
Deactivate and uninstall are not the same thing. Depending on your plans, you may not want to uninstall, just deactivate.
You are simply going to install Premiere Elements 11 to Windows 8 computer, using installation files or installation disc.
Do you have Premiere Elements 11 Windows 7 projects that you want to salvage? If so, how many? I would archive them
File Menu/Project Archiver/Copy Project and transfer the Copied Folder via USB to the Windows 8 computer.
For Elements Organizer considerations, please review the following
    http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop-elements/kb/backup-restore-move-catalog-photoshop.html
At this time I have no comments on your backups on NAS and how it might relate to your end goal.
Please review the above and then let us know if any of the above works for you.
    Thanks.

Add On...Just in case note, Adobe allows you to install/activate the purchase serial number for a given product on no more than
2 of your computers.  Then use these same products with the same activated serial number one at a time.

  • Premiere Elements 4 on Windows 7 shuts down when I try to create disk folder

Loaded Premiere Elements 4 on a new computer running on Windows 7.  Previously used this software on Windows XP with no issues other than slow.  After creating a project and going to Share/Burn Disc I receive a message that Adobe Premiere Elements.exe has stopped working.

    Dolly Jeane
Are you getting any message about MPEG2 Activation?
What are you trying to do....burn to folder Folder (4.7 GB) or burn to disc? There seems to be a conflict between your thread title "create disk folder" and body of reply "going to Share/Burn Disc".
I have Premiere Elements 4 on Windows 7 64 bit, and it has been running OK for Share/Disc/DVD disc with the standard or widescreen presets.
Are you having problems with the burn to folder as well as burn to disc? If you have not tried burn to folder, please try that and let us know how that works.
Also, please tell us what the burn dialog shows in its Quality area for Space Required and Bitrate (with check mark next to Fit Contents to Available Space.
    Thanks.

  • Premiere Elements 13, on Windows 7 64 bit, Problem fading to black at end of video.

With Premiere Elements 13, on Windows 7 64 bit, I am attempting to end a video with a fade to black transition.  For whatever reason, it is fading to black then returning.  Yes, I have tried it all three ways right, left and in between, but the it keeps fading out then in.  And yes the transition is at the very end of the clip.

I have Premiere Elements 13 on Windows 7 64 bit.
When I apply the Dip to Black video transition to the last Timeline clip, the Alignment is Left Clip. You have been there and done that.
Can you post a screenshot of what you are seeing when the Dip to Black transitions stops on your Timeline?
When I do as you have suggested I see this
Have you expanded the Timeline with the -+ slider above the Timeline and inspect the end of the clip as well as
other track content above or below, do you detect an fragments that might be a factor in what you are seeing?
If you start a new project, do you get the same result?
Could you post a screenshot displaying what you are seeing with the Dip to Black video transition placed at the end
of the last clip on your Timeline (Alignment: Left Clip)?
    Thank you.

  • Premiere Elements 8/9 Windows 7 64bit

    History....
I was running Premiere Elements 8 on Windows 7 32 bit with little to no problems.
I recently Upgraded my system primarily for more RAM to use with video editing and upgraded to the 64 bit version of Windows 7.
I re-installed elements 8 and the same format of video that was fine on the 32 bit now showed up as a red screen in playback through elements with audio.
This wasn't the only problem.  Sometimes when starting up elements the home screen was just blank and would not show the timeline or any other boxes for that matter.
I decided to purchase elements 9.0 and so didn't try too hard to iron out the above details.
However I'm now experiencing the very same problems with version 9.
When the program starts up (no error messages) the screen just shows me the shell  and no other boxes show including the timeline!!!
Everything is greyed out other than starting new project again which throws up the same scenario.
    PLEASE HELP!!!!!
PS I have also tried changing the project settings but to no avail

Hey Bill and thanks for your answer.
Without changing a thing (to my knowledge) Prem 9 is now starting up properly.
Well 5 out of 6 start ups have been successful!!
Not sure why this is, but project editing and manipulation all seem to working fine and have even exported an end product!!
I guess I'll just have to see how things go.
Thanks again for your suggestions and Happy New Year!!!!

  • How do add .mov files in Premiere Elements 11 with Windows 8? I get a generic error message.

How do add .mov files in Premiere Elements 11 with Windows 8? I get a generic error message.

    Hi Steve,
Thanks for your quick response. The original movies were taken on a Canon ES970 (1990's). I don't know the resolution but things were not as high tech back then.,.. I used a Roxio software to convert them on my MacBook Air. I didn't realize that I could use Adobe Premiere Elements to do that or I would have. However my old camera did not have a cable to attach it to a computer and the Roxio software came with it.
I then saved the recordings on an external hard drive. I did not make movies from them using iMovie or edit them in any way. They are simply .MOV files and they can be played on my Mac. Upon realizing how much memory it takes to work on videos, I decided it might be easier to burn DVD's on my husband's  new Dell desktop that came with Windows 8. I downloaded Quicktime as suggested and still the movies can't be added to Premiere.

    M.v.g.
    Photoshop Elements

Well, the English version comes with both a 32-bit and a 64-bit installer. I don't know why the Nederlands installer would be different, but if you can, I would download it as a trial first.

  • Installing Premiere Elements 10 on Windows 7 64 bit Machine

In August I purchased Premiere Elements 10 (and PSE 10 for that matter) and installed them satisfactorily on my existing 32 bit Vista computer.
As of today, I have replaced that computer with a much higher spec Windows 7 64 bit computer.  However, when I try to install PRE10 on the new computer, I'm greeted with the error message that the installer doesn't support a 64 bit OS.  If I'm installing from disk, I should load disk 2, otherwise I should download the 64 bit version.
I purchased the download version and can't find anywhere on the Adobe site to replace my 32 bit version with a 64 bit one--but the reference to "Disk 2" implies that my purchase should have included either.
Anyone have any thoughts?  I'd hate to replace a piece of software only 3 and a half months old.
FYI, the PSE10 installed first try without any issues.
    Thanks in advance,
    Bob
Edited to add:  Just installed my copy of Audition CS6 as well with no problems--it only seems to be PRE10 that comes with an installer that doesn't work in 64 bit.

@Steve Grisetti.  I purchased the download version back in August--as far as I remember I wasn't offered a choice of 32 or 64 bit (didn't even know there WAS a 64 bit version) and the download site just auto-detected which version to give me.  I haven't downloaded anything new since.   As I said, the 32 bit versions of Photoshop Elements 10 and Audition CS6 both loaded and work fine on my new 64 bit system.  The error message implied it was simply an installer issue--I assume from your reply that it's more than this?
@Nealeh.  Thanks for the suggestion.  Will my existing serial number work to convert the trial to a permanent install and will I sill be "legal" in Adobe's eyes?  I use several of their products (Audition professionally) and want my installation to be "on the up and up".
    Thanks again.
