Two years ago I bought a new PC consisting of:
System: Motherboard ASUS P5Q3
Intel[R] Core[TM2]Duo CPU
        E8500 @ 3.16 GHz
        Clockspeed 3.17 GHz
        RAM 3.3 Gb (4 Gb installed)
Windows XP 32 Home Edition Version 2002 SP3
Graphics card (see text):
        Gigabyte GV-RV577SL-1GD
        ATI Radeon HD5770/PCI-E.2.1
        1 Gb GDDR5/128bit

Problem:
        After I have specified a projectname after having selected New Project during the startup of Premiere Elements 9 (PRE9)
        a Windows message is popping up after about 10 seconds saying that within PRE9 there is a failure and PRE9 must quit.
        It showed the following signature of failure:
Appname: Adobe premiere elements.exe App.ver: 9.0.0.0
ModName: atioglxx.dll
ModVer: 6.14.10.9901
Offset: 00088e2e
And a failure report is generated with the choice to send it to Microsoft or not.
When I repeat the above mentioned procedure then I see every time the same Windows message within a second.
About one startup out of five to ten PRE9 startups is going wrong in this way. Seems a bit random to me.
If I rename atioglxx.dll into e.g. a_atioglxx.dll then no failure is generated!
It seems if PRE9 does not need this OPEN_GL file or it no longer recognize it as an OpenGL or it simply ignores it.

In the original configuration the PC was equipped with the graphic card ASUS EAH3650 PCI-E 2.0 with the Radeon HD3600 serie.
With this card, PRE9 reacted exactly the same way as described above.
That was the inducement to look for another graphic card.
After an advice (newer chipset, newer/other drivers) of a computercompany I have purchased this Gigabyte GV-RV577SL-1GD a two days ago.
This card needs a external supplyconnection (6-pin plug). The power supply is provided with such a cable and is connected to the card.
But it has not helped to avoid the crash of PRE9.
So it seems to be not the graphics card.
If I look on the AMD support site for the newest driver version for both cards,
Radeon HD3000 serie and the Radeon HD5000 serie, then I see that
the newest driver version is exactly the same for both cards.
I have installed this new version (Catalyst 11.3). It did not fix the issue.
The MoBo has also the newest driver.
I have done a try with a very small NVIDIA card. With this card there were no PRE9 crashes.
But a NVIDIA driver for this card has also not a atioglxx.dll from ATI.
I still prefer also for another reason to choose for this Gigabyte card. And I suppose that a AMD Radeon HDxxxx card also should work.
I am not involved in how a dll file is interacting with a graphic card or application.
So I can not say which component is causing the crash. Is it PRE9, is it the card, the driver
or a perhaps a timing problem anywhere?
The Adobe helpdesk was involved and has analysed e.g. the Windows DXDIAG and MSinfo32 but could not help me further.

Thank you for your help so far.
Meanwhile I have again installed Windows XP+updates+newest hardware drivers etc.
I also installed the update for Premiere Elements 9 to 9.01
I found also a newer driver for the video card and installed it (AMD version 11.4)
All these actions did not lead to the solution to avoid that Premiere Elements 9 (PRE9) crashes randomly.
With the Trial version of PRE9 the same result
By the way to quit PRE9 I used Alt+F4.
But accidentally I pressed Windows(Start)+F4.
This action causes that the Project Name menu pops up (not mentioned in the Help File of PRE9). In fact PRE9 returns one step back.
And that is more convenient than to start every time the program by clicking on the PRE9 icon for investigating this issue.
So I could immediately answer this "New Project" window by clicking on the OK button.
I do not give it an other name so I answer YES on the "Overwrite"question and PRE9 finalises the starting up procedure.
When PRE9 does not crash I use Alt+F4 to quit the program.
Then to try I used only F4 and I saw that it creates the same effect as Windows(Start)+F4.
So I could rapidly repeat between the "New Project" window and the moment that PRE9 has finished
the starting up procedure by only using F4 on the keyboard.
And it is still the case that when PRE9 is crashing for the first time after having switched on or rebooted the computer , then PRE9 freezes for about 7 ...10 seconds before it crashes. But eventually next crashes happen immediately.
Besides from my experiences somebody else for me have tested this issue on a HPMEDIACENTERPC with Windows XP SP3 etc. and with a video card with the Radeon HD 3600.
And he experienced exactly the same crash with PRE9. Also a conflict with atioglxx.dll.
But he scored a succes by deleting all ATI files, but only installing the displaydriver and not the Catalyst.
So if that helps is it worth to put this issue to AMD for further investigation?
And is it known to you that F4 is causing to open the "Project"window in PRE9?

Need help with Elements and image size on my web site.

I have edited my photos in elements and loaded them on my website but when I click on them on the site to enlarge, some get really really big and others are fine. I don't know what Im doing wrong.

Go to File>save for web. This brings up a dialog. Enter 800px or so for the longest side, check "constrain proportions" , and for your purpose you will no doubt want to save as JPEG - look under presets. I usually select high quality.

I am getting the above message on many of the websites that I use, including YouTube, Soundcloud and others.
It seems like a virus. I can't access the sites at all - not using Google Chrome or Safari. Anyone know what this isand how to get rid of it?

Using the "Network" preference pane in "System Preferecnes", choose your connection type (ie, Wi-Fi, Ethernet) and then click the "Advanced" button. One of the tabs in the drop-down pane that appears is labelled "DNS". Choose it to see the DNS settings in use by your computer.
If the address of the DNS server(s) listed are of the form 208.67.222.222 or 208.67.220.220 then you are using OpenDNS. If using the DNS provided by your router, then it will be of the form 192.168.1.1 or 10.0.1.1, or similar.
Checking your router's setting depends on the router model.
Note that the way OpenDNS parental controls work, someone has to have an account with OpenDNS (not just be using their public DNS servers), and that account is associated with a specific IP Address. For you to be getting that message means that you have a) made a DNS request for a site using OpenDNS and b) you have made it from an IP Address that is associated with an OpenDNS account with parental controls turned on. That's the sort of thing which is highly unlikely to happen by accident (but not impossible)...how do you access the Internet?

My Serial Number won't be accepted when I try to download Premiere Elements 13?

I have a MacBook Pro Laptop and I recently purchased Premiere Elements 13 as I need it for School and Work however when i get to the final stages of downloading, my serial number isn't being accepted and I have tried many methods of downloading! IF anyone has had the same or similar issues please let me know! I paid a lot for this and I really need the program.

Let us go through the typical drill....
1. Does the problem exist with and without the antivirus and firewall(s) disabled?
2. Are you working with a pen and tablet instead of a mouse?
3. Do you have the latest version of QuickTime installed and are you running the programs as administrator?
4. Is your video card/graphics card driver up to date according to the web site of the manufacturer of the card?
5. Are you running the program with an active Internet connection? What computer browser are you using for the download
of replacement installation files? Have you tried another for the download - such as Internet Explorer or Firefox?
Suggestions
1. Uninstall the program the typical Control Panel way
2. Do a free ccleaner run through (regular and registry cleaning parts) to get rid of leftovers from incomplete installs/reinstalls

Can we assume Premiere Elements 13 on Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 64 bit and that you are dealing with purchased installation files instead of tryout?
In either case, it might be easier for you to consider the download of the Premiere Elements 13 tryout from the following web site, where it might be easier to pin point the files that you need for your specific computer environment, that is, 32 bit installation files for 32 bit operating system and 64 bit installation files for 64 bit operating system. . If you are dealing with purchased software and serial number, during installation of the tryout files you insert your purchased serial number into these installation files. Problem with Adobe Premiere Elements 10 : error DW046

Dear community members,
I have bought Adobe Premiere Elements 10 and installed it from the DVDs on my MAC OSX10.5.8 on december 27, 2013
When creating a new project , I get the following message :
following a serious error, Premiere Elements 10 must stop
Then I click OK and I get a new message :
The Premiere 10 application has closed suddenly after having been rebooted
Then I end up to the error report window. I have sent the error report to Apple ( I can send it to you if you want)
I have also got the following error message :
DW046 : following conflicting process were running, block : dynamiclinkmanager
Notice : it seems this problem is occuring since I underwent a power failure while working on a project. When I want to open an existing project I get the following message :
it seems that Premiere Elements has closed in an unexpected way during the last session. Do you want to open the previous project?
When I say YES, I save it and it comes back to the welcome menu and I cannot see this project.
I have tried to deinstall and reinstall Premiere 10 : this is impossible since I am required to deactivate dynamiclinkmanager that I cannot find.
Notice that Adobe AIR is unable to find a solution whilst it recognizes there is a problem.

When you get the message
it seems that Premiere Elements has closed in an unexpected way during the last session. Do you want to open the previous project?
Do you go to the last AutoSave to open that or do you go to the save location of the project file (project.prel) to open that file?
Are you getting message to close the dynamiclinkmanager so that you can move forward?

Premiere Elements settings

I am a new user of Premiere (always worked on final cut). I installed elements on a brand new 64 bit windows 7, 8 GB RAM, i7 processor machine and am having a lot of trouble.
when playing clips form my timeline in the monitor (7 minutes or so) the video is extremely (!!!!!) blurry. When I change the playback quality to highest it is much less blurry but I can only hear the audio but the video barely moves. few second clips work pretty smooth.
* Can anyone point out what settings should I be looking for?
* is Element (vs. Pro) not meant for clips longer than a few seconds.
* On another machine which is 32 bit with 3 GB RAM it works OK just is very slow when rendering.
* Any other ideas, I am pretty desperate.

Also note that some Panasonics shoot in 60p, a format that is not supported in Premiere Elements and will cause all sorts of problems.
If you plan to edit your video in Premiere Elements, you must shoot in 1920x1080i.

My guess is that these are 'Named User' licenses and not Concurrent licenses. That just means that every license has a single user and that users is expected to register. Did they just give you one DVD with the program and then 30 license keys? If so there is probably no way you will get around the registration process.

Adobe photoshop Premiere Elements 13 - Need Installation Help

I just purchased Adobe Photoshop Elements 13 & Adobe Premiere Elements 13 for Windows. I have a Windows 8.1 operating system. The file downloaded, it shows it as a 7Z file, which I can't open. Can anyone offer suggestions on how to open this file or how to correctly download the software?

For Adobe direct...
At this time, what do you have on your desktop - two files appropriate for your computer operating system, those being, .exe (which will be the Adobe Application Manager) and the 7z which is the program itself. That is all you should need? Based on my experiences, it is the .exe that does the unpacking of the 7z.
If you are having problems with the Adobe direct route, then download and install the tryout from the following web site and insert your purchased serial number in those installation files at installation.

Thanks for the reply. You have a lot of considerations before you.decide to purchase additional software.
Great that the Photoshop Elements 11 Editor from Mac App Store is working, but I am not sure how that was integrating with Premiere Elements 11 Editor or will interact with Premiere Elements 11 Mac if you can find the latter for purchase online from Amazon or other. (I realize that the Mac App Store products did not come with Elements Organizer 11; whereas the Premiere Elements 11 Mac does.)
If you want to add Premiere Elements 11 Mac to your computer, it might be a good idea to look at the tryout from the following web site, and then purchase from your selected vendor. The web site offering the 11 tryout does not sell the tryout as far as I have ever heard.

Transferring Premiere Elements 11

I bought a license to Adobe Premiere Elements 11 to help me create a video for a 4-H Project. The desktop I was using to run Elements is capable of running it but can be slow at times. Recently, I was given a Lenovo Ultrabook (S431) that is much faster. The Lenovo meets most of the requirements The only problem is that the Lenovo does not have an optical drive to install Elements off the CD. Is there a way to install the program on my new computer without buying an optical drive?

How to add videos from my Camileo h100 to Premiere Elements

Ok, I should start off saying that I am definitely a beginner when it comes to Premiere Elements, so I barely know how to do anything. I just got a Toshiba Camileo h100 video camera. When I try to put the videos into Premiere, they only show up as audio files. How do I fix this so I can start editing the videos.
Also, and this is mainly for after I figure out my first problem, how do I get the highest quality possible when rendering. Thanks in advance for the help.
