Premiere Elements 11 instant movie content

In Pre 11, is all the instant movie templates included or do you have to have some kind of subscribtion to access them?

Starting with Premiere Elements 11, Content is from a download from within the program, no more Content disc for the boxed product. And, no more Internet link that you can go to from which to download Content.
Go to Action Bar/Instant Movie at the top of the Expert view interface or Instant Movie tab at the bottom of the interface.
Proceed with the instructions and when you get to a choice of Template, right click the blue ban at the top right corner of the thumbnail and opt to download just that template or all the templates. Depending on your Internet speed, it can take a long, long time. The download will automatically be placed in the correct location (Online Folder) on your computer hard drive.

I just recently purchased Premiere Elements 12 so I am a newbie. I like the effects in one of the instant movie options, specifically the news reel one. However, I want to put the photos that I am using in a certain order, but the instant movie rearranges them. Is there a way to make it use my order? I also want to center a photo within the box on the part of the clip with the coffee mug and reel on a desk. Is there a way to do that too? Thanks in advance!

2. To center a photo in the finished Instant Movie
Right click the finished Instant Movie on the Timeline, and select Break Apart Instant Movie.
That command will do just that. Once the Instant Movie is broken apart, then find the photos
on the Timeline and move and resize them carefully.

Does premiere elements 10 support MOV movie clip formats?

MOV is really but a wrapper, and can contain a broad range of CODEC's. Many, like PhotoJPEG, Animation, H.264, and many more will work fine, so long as one has Apple's QT Player installed, or the necessary CODEC's installed. However, if the file came from a Mac, and went to a PC, and had been Exported from FCP, or similar, there could well be one of the Apple Intermediate CODEC's inside, and most of those are NOT available on the PC. Also, if the file came from FCP, even if going to a Mac, there are CODEC's, that will only come from FCP, so one would need that program installed.
This ARTICLE will give you more detail on File Formats as "wrappers."
Please let us now what is inside that MOV wrapper, and someone can direct you.

Will Premiere Elements 10 recognize MOV files?

I have a new EOS 60D Canon camera. Will Premiere Elements 10 recognize the .MOV file the videos are stored as?

With a powerful computer, PrE can handled H.264 just fine.
What are the specs. of your computer, and especially the CPU? Ideally, one should have a fast i7 to easily process H.264, whether it is in AVCHD, or some other wrapper, like MOV.
Now, many camera mfgrs. work in different "flavors" of H.264, and the one that is common in most PrE installations, is Apple's H.264, installed with Apple's QT Player. However, that might not be the best one. If your Canon came with a utility disc, it should have the Canon version of H.264 (note that might differ from a Canon H.264 for another camera, but should be close). That H.264 CODEC might be a separate, discrete install, might be installed with the camera's driver, or might be installed with some Canon editing/cataloging utility, which would be most common. Even if one is not going to use that software, if the CODEC is part of it, then installation would be a good idea.
Then, one would create a New Project, that should match that Source Footage 100%. When one of the Clips has been dragged to the Timeline, in a properly setup Project, there should be NO red line above that footage, until and Effect, or some sort of overlay, has been added. If there IS a red line initially, then the Project does not match the Source Footage 100%, and it should.
To get the best possible match, between the Source Footage and the Project, it would be best to be working with PrE 10, as it contains more DSLR Presets, and if one has the proper CODEC installed, then editing on a stout computer should go fine.

Premiere Elements 10: Uploading movies from trial version

Can I upload movies created in the trial version to Premiere Elements 10 to the actual version (which I am considering buying) without watermarks.

You can remove the watermark once your have a serial number without needing to redo the project. Follow the instructions in the FAQ:

Premiere elements 12 - cannot move assets past current time indicator ... why?

Cannot drag/move jpg (img 1232) past current time indicator (red) on any of the available tracks ... it does nothing ... I can only drag/move asset around before the current time indicator ... why

Whatever you decide, please keep watch on how many days from date of purchase so that you do not lose any rights to 30 day money back from Adobe if you purchased from Adobe.
I had some thoughts for some areas to look into in your situation.
You have asked several time if you are using the correct project preset. I do not see that any one has responded to that question. I am assuming that your iPhone 5s is recording H.264.mov or.mp4 1920 x 1080 @ up to 30 progressive frames per second. The frame rate is probably up to 30, meaning variable frame rate. So, where is the 120 frames per second video coming from? I would manually set the project preset for
NTSC
DSLR
1080p
DSLR 1080p30@ 29.97

The use of video with variable frame rate has created all sorts of issues besides audio out of sync with Premiere Elements. It could be the iPhone 5S video that is creating the problems, but.... Have you taken the time to remove selectively and sequentially types of media from the tracks to determine if such removal would then allow you to place additional media from Project Assets to Timeline wherever you want?
If you implicate the iPhone 5S video in the issue, you could take it into a program such as HandBrake and change the file's variable to constant frame rate and export it from there as 1920 x 1080 @ 29.97 progressive frames per second H.264.mp4 file. Then try it in your project.
The party line is that you cannot change the project preset once it has been set for a project. We can go into that later. By the way, if you start a new project, is the problem of placing source media where you want in the Timeline still there?

Premiere Elements 3.0-Movie clips don't have sound after added to a new player.

I am addding viedo clips to a new project. Some of the clips have sound. Other do not. Some of them the sound comes in part way through. They all work fine outside the program. Help please!

If you have a red line over the timeline after importing a video and before adding any effects... your project is wrong for your video... read above about codecs
Once you know exactly what it is you are editing, report back with that information... and your project setting, and if there is a red line above the video in the timeline, which indicates a mismatch between video and project

Instant Movie Themes

Does anyone know where I can download new movie themes for Adobe Premier Elements 9? I keep typing this question into google, for this specific version, and answers for every version but this one keep coming up. Am I the only one that owns this version? I have several Instant movie themes for it already, the ones that came with it, but I am working on a project, and none of them are what I am looking for or needing, so I really need more options.

If so, then you probably have as much as is available. There were scattered reports on how to make one's own, but the bottom line (easy way) seems to be, if you want something different than what Adobe has provided, then you take Adobe's Instant Movie and customize it. After the Instant Movie is created, you can right click it on the Timeline and select Break Apart Instant Movie. Then do your editing of the components that went into the Instant Movie.

Downloading Instant Movie Themes -Premiere Elements 13

I am using an HP 350 G1 with Windows 7 64 bit system. When trying to create and instant movie and attempting to download any theme, it is taking a long time to download and frequently says the download failed and that either I have lost my internet connection or the server is unavailable. I hit retry and it seems to continue but gets stuck at the end saying "completing download".

Premiere Elements 13 on Windows 7 64 bit. Have you updated 13 to 13.1 yet using an opened project's Help Menu/Updates? If not, please do so.
But to the matter of the Instant Movie content downloads. Is the issue restricted to Instant Movie or to other content download as well.
What is the down/up Internet speeds?
The loss of the Adobe content installation disc has been of concern. But, I managed with content download with my DSL Internet (with
speeds in the Kbps (kilobits per second). The content download was often time consuming but did eventually go to completion. Recently
I was forced into an Internet change, resulting in Internet speeds that are in the megabits per second range. What a difference in Content download.
So, let us look at the Internet speeds first and then decide what next if those do not explain the situation you face obtaining content download.
Have you check with your Internet provider to determine if there are problems with your Internet connection? Did you clear the browser Options/Advanced/Network/Cached Web Content and turned off the route for about 45 seconds?

As to your thread question..not that I have ever run into. You can customize the Adobe Instant Movies by creating an Instant Movie and then using the Break Apart Instant Movie at the Timeline level to do just that and modify that just created Instant Movie as wanted.
There are no additional theme to purchase. And, the existing Instant Movie (Content Download type) for an Adobe design needs to be downloaded from within the program (See Instant Movie display of choices and thumbnail with blue ban at the top right corner of that thumbnail. Select Download Now (to obtain completed files for theme) or Download All (to obtain completed files for All Instant Movie theme choices).

Does Premiere Elements support Canon mov files or must I convert the mov file to a different format first? If I have to convert the mov file first, what file conversion program should I use and what file type should I convert it to?

1. Canon 70D and its H.264 intra frame compression. Please refer to the following

2. Premiere Elements 10 on a computer with a NVIDIA GeForce video card/graphics card
is bad news. The typical fix is to roll back the driver version to about May 2013. But, when the
computer operating system is Windows 8 or 8.1 64 bit, often there is not an older enough driver
version to revert to in order to get Premiere Elements 10 to display and work properly.

How do I overcome the Failed Downloads for Instant Movies from the Adobe Server?

I have a Windows 8.1 PC , Premiere Elements ver. 12, and I have a dedicated DSL for computer only. In my best efforts, even when disabling McAfee completely, I have had almost 4 days of frustration trying to download an Instant Movie from the online content server. At times the DL works, slowly, then it pauses, sometimes the DL reverses the count and I lose 10mb and it resumes (I have never seen that before). Most frustrating is when the DL is nearly complete and the message pops up that I need to check my connection as the download has failed. I have 1.6TB disc space, and no restrictions in place at my end. I tried from 2 of the PCs, both Win 8.1. I have tried at all hours of the day for traffic on the server, but that doesn't seem to matter. I have attempted the Secret Agent file DL at best 10x. Is there a setting I need to change to receive this content, or go to a different site where I can directly access this content?
I have purchased Three PE 12 programs for 3 replacement PCs and I need some real direction.

There will be those that report Content download of a few minutes. Although we are happy for them, many have found that this is not usually the case. Download of the Premiere Elements 11 and 12 Content download is often a slow process which demands a lot of patience whether the download be "Download Now" or "Download All". Just two of the factors in this situation are the Internet Speed/Status and the status of the Adobe Server. Many times it is time of the day.

I have DSL Service on the east coast of the USA. It is now about 6 pm Saturday February 22, 2014.
I right clicked the blue ban at the top right corner of the Instant Movie thumbnail for the Secret Agent theme. I selected Download Now to download just that one Instant Movie theme.
a. The file size was given as 75.8 MB, not 118.7 MB. It took 11 minutes and 19 seconds to download that Instant Movie.
I checked the download on two different computers, one Windows 7 64 bit and the other Windows 8.1 64 bit. The Instant Movie Secret Agent had a file size of 75.8 MB according to the download pop up in the opened project.
b. If you are talking days for this download, then I would first check with your Internet provider. There is no other place for these downloads except from within the program. And, when you do get them, I would encourage you to save them as per my blog posts on this topic to avoid having to go through an labored downloading processes again.
Do you find the downloading of Content to be the same for all the other categories requiring this type of download, not just Instant Movies?
Please review and update us on your progress.

Add On...Although you did say that you disabled McAfee, be advised that McAfee's recent update(s) have created some serious problems for Premiere Elements. So, I would re-evaluate McAfee's possible role in all this along with the firewalls settings.

Adobe Premiere Elements 8 Plus (Windows,English) Elements Plus 20GB (Annually) (Other,English)

I purchased the above mentioned products 9/26/2009. I am unable to use projects because I get an error message stating I need to purchase Premiere Elements before I can use it. I HAVE purchased it. Then, I get an error message stating that "a reduced set of content (instant movie themes, title and menu templates, etc) has been installed. To install the full content set, please insert your Content DVD and run Setup.exe. If you do not have a Content DVD please visit http://www.adobe.com/go/pre_additional_downloads to download the content installer. My situation is the latter - I don't have a content DVD and when I go to the additional downloads site content installer can't be found.
Can someone help me? I have contacted support and my questions have never been answered.

My suspicion is that perhaps you had downloaded the trial and then later purchased either from the Adobe store or a retail store: in other words you did not purchase from within the trial. Or maybe you purchased a download from the Adobe store but did not enter the serial number in to Premiere Elements. Now it does seem like Adobe customer service should have been able to explain what you need to do : however since that approach was not successful ...

No audio on Timeline Premiere Elements 13 and no longer on 12 after upgrading to 13.

On my Mac with OS X Yosemite I've worked with Premiere Elements 12 for a while and it just worked fine. Now I;ve upgraded to Elements 13 and the clips that were fine the other day have now lost there audio when I put them on the Timeline. However if I double click the clip in project assets and play it on the clip monitor everything is fine, but as soon as I send it to the timeline or storyboard the audio disappears. I'm in a spot now as I can't use 13 and neither return to Elements 12. Any ideas will be very much apprexiated.

Just a week ago I created a movie with Elements 12 on this same Mac with OS X Yosemite and ij
just worked fine. On second thoughts the movie was a bit too long, so I
imported the saved project to re-edit it, only to find out that the audio
had gone for the greater part of the clips on the timeline. I closed
elements 13 and reopened 12 and the saved project with the same result.
When you got to second thoughts, what did you do....
a. rebuild the project anew in Premiere Elements 13?
b. import the Premiere Elements 12 export in Premiere Elements 13?
c. open the Premiere Elements 12 project in Premiere Elements 13?
I ask since you cannot import one project file into another and you wrote "imported the saved project".
You wrote after the file was drag from Premiere Elements 13 Project Assets to Timeline
only to find out that the audio had gone for the greater part of the clips on the timeline.
What was gone - the representation of the whole audio clip on the audio track or just the sound
for the whole? Was the duration of the clip listed in Project Assets, the same as observed at
its Timeline level?
If you took this Premiere Elements 13 Timeline (problem audio there) to export, was there sound in the export?
If you create a project in an earlier version, it is often possible to open it in a later version to work with the project in the later version.
But, you cannot open the later version edited project in the earlier project again. So, I was not sure what you were describing when
you wrote

Please consider deleting the Media Cache Files Folder where the program saves the automatically generated conformed audio.
To locate that Folder, on Windows I could go to Edit Menu/Preferences/Scratch Disks/Media Cache to find location for the Media Cache Files Folder. Is that the
same for Mac?
Also, please let us know if the flawed Premiere Elements 13 Timeline audio content exports OK or contains the flaws encountered before export.
Again, please excuse if I have included things that you were already aware of. Because of the nature of your issue, I did not want to take anything for grant.

How do I get continuous replay of a video created in Premiere Elements 13?

I created a video in Premiere elements 13 and I would like it to play continuously. Elements 10 had a specific marker that could be added to the end of the video and cause it to go back to the beginning. I don't know how to accomplish this in Elements 13.

If you are talking about looping video....
I have never run into the looping feature that you attribute to Premiere Elements 10 Editor (or any other version).
Was this supposed to be a Premiere Elements 10 Editor Timeline content looping feature for viewing only within the project or a feature that allowed the export to loop without intervention of the player after the export?
For looping of files
a. find a repeat button on the player
b. repeat the Timeline content on the Timeline as many times as you want a repeat and then export the whole Timeline.
c. if you want to have a looping DVD-VIDEO on DVD disc, consider

If you are talking about disc menu navigation of a disc menu...
I wonder if the above is really what you are asking about. Are you asking about placing stop markers at the end of a particular movie in a multi movie Timeline so that the viewer
selects one Timeline movie from a choice of many, the selected movie plays, and, when playback of that particular movie is finished, it returns the viewer to the main menu? For that
you put a stop marker at the end of the individual movies on the Timeline. You never put a stop marker at the end of the last item on the Timeline. Problems if you do.
Please review and consider. Please supply more details. And, then we will discuss this further. If you need clarification on anything that I have written, please do not hesitate to ask.
We can go at whatever pace that you want in the troubleshooting.
