Premiere Elements 12 and Davinci Resolve Lite

I'm reaching out to see if anyone is currently using Davinci Resolve Lite along with PE12.
Can't seem to find any info regarding a Workflow of color correcting / editing using these two programs.
There are several regarding Premiere Pro, but not PE.
As I have reviewed several Davinci tutorials and even have gone through their 754 pg manual, the references are to PremierePro and FinalCut, understandably.
A lot of it seems to revolve around the fact that exports are done using XML, EDL, CDL, etc. formats, which I don't believe PE has the ability to import.
But, there is no mention if there are other export formats that could be utilized in PE.
In any event, if anyone is using Davinci with PE, I would appreciate some input regarding your Workflow.

Yes I contacted Davinci directly and they basically have 3 avenues for providing information for the Lite version; Hands-on, Manual or Forum.
I presented the question in their forum as well (no response yet), but I was really hoping to get a bit more feedback here in the PE forum since my question pertains specifically to Premiere Elements.
My goal was to perhaps find someone in this forum that is actually implementing a Workflow with both programs.
I do not have any "hands-on" experience with Davinci, but it's my understanding that the Lite version is very powerful and color corrects better than PE.
That would be apparent too, since many Premiere Pro and Final Cut editors use the Lite version over tools in their respective programs.
Without hands on experience I can only quote the exports mentioned above which I reviewed in the Manual.
Google hasn't provided anything promising as it relates to these 2 programs specifically either

Premiere Pro Roundtrip Davinci Resolve Lite

Hey guys,
I'm having some problems with my XML export to Davinci Resolve Lite. I can color grade, and everything is fine until I import my XML into Davinci. No errors at all, but the footage is all misaligned and my transitions are all out of wack. It's not how I cut it in the timeline at all.
Do I need to convert the XML to something more FCP or AVID friendly?
I'm editing on Premiere Pro CC. I'm hoping there is an easy fix that I have overlooked so I don't have to start my color grading from scratch.

Premiere Pro and Davinci Resolve?

as a ex-Final Cut Pro editor coming to Premiere Pro, the only thing that I'm missing is Apple Color. I mainly edit h264 Canon 7D and 5D files now directly in Premiere Pro. I'm thinking about using Davinci Resolve to color correct my footage. Is there any one who use Resolve with Premiere Pro? Can you export Premiere Pro project and color correct it directly in Resolve? Is there some issue with it?

I've just finished a 45min documentary with Premiere Pro and Davinci Resolve. Here are a few informations:
If you want to keep you effect like dip to white it's best to export your Premiere Pro sequence as a Final Cut Pro XML. The problem then is that Resolve 8 needs a XML FCP version 5 file and currently Premiere Pro export it as a version 4. So you need to open the sequence with Final Cut Pro, then reexport it as a XML FCP v5 file and then you can import it into Resolve. It seems that Adobe is working on a fix for that.
For rendering and exporting back to Premiere Pro, you can use the preset "FCP7 XML roundtrip" on the render page and then I export the project in the conform tab in Resolve. The XML file can then be read by Premiere Pro directly.
You could start by exporting a AAF file from Premiere Pro but it seems that there is less special effect (dip to white for exemple) that is supported, and it takes so long to export as AAL and then I didn't find a way to import it correctly into Resolve 8.
One problem to watch out for is that you can't have two different clips with the same file name (on a different directory). For Premiere Pro it's not a problem but when you try conform you XML file, Resolve looks for the clip and it doesn't necessary find the good one. I did have that kind of problem with Color, so I didn't paid attention to that, but for my documentary project, I had at least 5 times a file with the name MVI_0001.mov and Resolve mess it up.

Premiere elements 10 and viewing video - avi

Hi all, I am completely baffled at the moment. I am running 2 systems, both with adobe premiere elements 10 and full content packs. I have also installed k-lite codecs pack on both machine. One is a dell i5 lptop and the other is an i7 tower. I am editing the same set of videos, I have copied a set to my desktop and have another set on my laptop. The issue is this:
On the laptop I open premiere, get media and select the avi file I want to edit, the file appears and you can see the image of the video file. It is then OK to work from and edit.
On the desktop, I open premiere, get medi and select the avi file I want to edit, the file appears but this time there is no image just the audio sign. I try to put it intot he video timeline but it only imports the audio.
I have been stumped all night. Why will it work on one machine and not the desktop?
Please can someone help me with this?

applied to just version 13 or to both 12 and 13?
If you work with 12 instead of 13, please update 12 to 12.1 using an opened 12 project's Help Menu/Update.
I ran into a Premiere Elements 12 install/Sign In issue which was also resolved by updating the Adobe Application Manager.

Upgraded to Premiere Elements 12 and unlimited storage .. Elements program cannot find the catalog.

Upgraded to Premiere Elements 12 and unlimited storage per Adobe staff, only problems since. Once I got catalog to properly start loading to Revel the new software wrongly messaged was that it was completely up to date. Now when i tried to start Elements program cannot find the catalog. I am the type person that am willing to pay to get this resolved so who do I call? I am doing this as a hobby and this is not fun etc... many useless unpleasant hours.

I appreciate what you are both saying -- but it is not the music that is the problem. The video itself is NOT blocked - you can view it on a computer -- but when you try to view it on ipad/iphone the message says, "not available on this platform". What computer operating system is your Premiere Elements 12 running on? Did you have the opportunity to update 12 to 12.1 Update yet using an opened project's Help Menu/Update? If not, please do so when you get the opportunity.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling premiere elements 10, but that did not have any effect on the video. Do you have any suggestions? I researched codec, but do not understand them at all.

for windows you should have an exe and a 7z file. put both in the same directory and double click the exe.

Differences between Premiere Elements 11 and Pro CS6?

I would like to know the differences between Adobe Premiere Elements 11 and Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 in relation to video editing. If someone can point me to any resource on the web like a comparision chart of features, differences etc that would be perfect. I understand the Premiere Pro CS6 would have a lot of extra bell and whistles, special effects etc... but what I would like to know if there is a difference in terms of the the quality of the Final Product?
Our needs for a video editor are very simple. We need to create simple titles and text overlay to show the name of the speaker and/or topic. A few times we the audio was not recorded on the video camcera but we do have the audio recorded for the event on a separate audio recorder in .WAV format. So we would like to sync up the video with this audio. Can this be done in Adobe Premiere Elements 11?
And in cases where the audio was recorded with video, we would like to increase the gain/volume for the audio or clean up some hum or background noise. Can this be done in Adobe Premiere Elements 11?
That is it, we do not need any special effects or animations etc... Please let me know if Adobe Premiere Elements 11 can help us meet our needs. If there is any other software that would be more suitable please advise.

If your video and audio contain a clap, you can manually sync by sliding the audio peak along the video. The audio wave form will be blanked out when sliding, with a frame counter showing how many whole frames you have moved the audio at each moment, so it is a "drag, stop, compare, drag another frame or two, stop, compare" process that works. (Finer adjustment than whole frames is not possible.) Once the sync is achieved, select both audio and video track and link them. (The stability of the sync over time will depend on the accuracy of the recorder, and can pose a problem in long recordings. )

APE11 allows adjusting the volume levels and also provides level normalization if desired, but more involved audio cleanup such as hiss and hum removal, compression, or auto gain are not available.

You should download the APE11 trial to judge for yourself how well it will meet all your needs.

Cannot Install the Raw 7.3 update for Premiere Elements 11 and photoshop Elements

I get an error message when I try to update the Raw 7.3 update for Premiere Elements 11 and photoshop Elements. It says to run support adviser which I did, but it says that it could not detect any problems.

Upgraded to 10.10.1. Can't use Davinci Resolve lite now. DPDecoder keeps quitting unexpectedly.

Davinci Resolve Lite will open but will not display video. Worked fine before the upgrade to 10.10.1
I have reported to apple but I desperately need to finish my project! Can anyone help?

Not really. But Premiere Elements 10 comes with Elements Organizer 10, which should update your Organizer 9 catalog.
