Come posso risolvere tale problema?
Grazie, saluti.

  • Premiere Element 12 does not recognize AVI movies.

Premiere Element 12 does not recognize AVI movies created with Casio Exilim EX-FH100 camera.
The operating system (Win 7 and Windows Media Player) recognizes these files without problems.
While trying to load an AVI movie in Premiere appears this inscription: This file type is not supported, or the required codec is not installed.
How can I fix the problem?
    Thank you.

Thanks to your advice I solved the problem.
I installed the codec Morgan M-JPG from an existing link (http://morgan-multimedia-mjpeg-codec.en.lo4d.com/download) different from what I have proposed, this link was continually blocked by my anti-virus.
After restarting Prenmiere Elements 12 (without reboot) AVI movies of my Casio have been read.
The operating system of my PC is Windows 7.
    Thank you.

  • In Premiere Elements 8, None of my projects will open. Says projects were created in Premiere Pro

In Premiere Elements 8, None of my projects will open. Says projects were created in Premiere Pro, when they were not. Cannot create new projects either. Basically, the program is completely bricked an unable to do anything once it gets past the welcome screen.
My projects are all saved as .prel
They were all working, when suddenly none of them would work any more. I can no longer use this program, and I really need to. Have already tried running the program as an administrator and creating a second admin account. Also tried going to the basic graphics driver.

Thanks for the helpful additional information. Because of the nature of the description of your problem (references to Premiere Pro which you do not have et al), I would encourage you to go directly to the following which I suggested previously by the following question.
    5. Have you gone the route of Uninstall/ccleaner run through - regular and registry components of the cleaner), reinstall?
    1. Uninstall Premiere Elements 8 via the usual Control Panel/Installed Program area route.
    2. Download and install the free ccleaner and run the computer through its regular cleaner and registry cleaner parts.
    http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner
Open the program to see something like
Click on "Run Cleaner" with the "Cleaner Tab" selected in the left column of the dialog. Click OK to the pop up to initiate the automatic process.
After the regular cleaner portion is done, then click on "Registry" in the left column of the dialog. It should look something like
    Click on "Scan for Issues"
    when done
    Click on "Fix selected issues"
    when pop up appears
Click Yes to "backup changes to the registry"
    when done
Click "Fix selected issues" in the pop up that now appears
    when done
    Click Close.
Please read all the details in the ccleaner link before starting. If you need clarification on anything written before you begin, please do not hesitate to ask.
I use this procedure routine for computer maintenance without issues (Windows XP 32 bit as well as Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 64 bit). It is a widesly used tool.
We will be watching for further developments.
    3. Reinstall Premiere Elements 8 with antivirus and firewalls off. After installation of 8, now do the download and installation of the 8.0.1 update from Adobe via the link
    http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4653
That 8.0.1 installation can be done with Premiere Elements 8 closed.
Adobe set up that 8.0.1 Update so that they is no 8.0.1 shown in the program after installation of it. You will probably get a message of installation completed successful. The major evidence that it has been installed will be the turn off of the previously default "Automatic Background Rendering" in preferences. You still have to turn off the "Automatic AutoAnalzyer" in Elements Organizer, a must do.
    Please review the above.
    Thank you.

  • Premiere Elements 9 - Common file types (AVI, JPG, MP3, etc.) not recognized

I just recently upgraded my system to Windows 7 64 bit (with 8 GB of RAM), and loaded the Photoshop/Premiere Elements 9 combo pack. I have run both versions 7 and 8 in the past with only minimal memory issues under Vista 32 bit with 4 GB of RAM, but no issues as far as loading AVI's, jpgs, mp3s, wav, etc file types. With this new version Photoshop Elements appears to work ok, but in Premiere Elements, I can not load any common file types without getting the error "Generic Failure - This type of file is not supported or the required codec is not installed". The other issue is that after I load the media from a given folder on my main drive "C", it's looking for the media in a folder on my "D" drive??? I tried to work this out through customer support, but was unsuccessful. This last time I called, they wanted to charge $24 for the call. I complained to the support person that they had never really solved my issue on previous calls so he suggested using the forum. Has anyone run into these issues?
I've tried uninstalling and re-installing the software and have loaded all of the current updates, but I am not able to use Premiere Elements in it's current state. Any help will be appreciated...(note, this is the only application that I am currently having issues with on my upgraded system - all other software - probably 25 plus apps including Sony Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum v 10, which I may have to switch to entirely, appear to be working well).
Thanks in advance for your help!

For the CODEC issue, it could well be that your new OS is lacking some of those on the previous, though that would not explain the JPEG, for instance.
Going back, Windows would automatically install many CODEC's, including all the MS CODEC's. With some versions of Vista, one had to manually download and install a Vista CODEC pack. Now, I have a strong aversion to downloading any non-MS CODEC "packs," and would urge you to think long and hard before doing such.
If you do not have G-Spot, a great, free utility, I'd get it, and see which CODEC's are installed.
    Good luck,
    Hunt
PS - for any error messages that you get with any of the Adobe CODEC's, see this ARTICLE.

  • Adobe premiere elements 13 can not open avi on my Mac. What can I do?

I just bought adobe premiere elements 13. I hoped that it would help to open an avi on my brand new Mac, which iMovie of course did not open. (That's why I spend the money on premiere!) I got the file from a disc, and I don't know what kind of camera took the pictures. Premiere 13 should open AVI's. What is wrong?

    franks
Premiere Elements 13 Mac should be an .avi import only. But, avi is just a file extension (container/wrapper format), which wraps the video and audio compressions of the file.
Although the program might support a particular video compression and a particular file extension (container/wrapper format), it may not support the combination of a particular combination of video compression with file extension for a file.
What are the properties (video compression et al) of your video file with the file extension of .avi?

  • Premiere elements 10 and viewing video - avi

Hi all, I am completely baffled at the moment. I am running 2 systems, both with adobe premiere elements 10 and full content packs. I have also installed k-lite codecs pack on both machine. One is a dell i5 lptop and the other is an i7 tower. I am editing the same set of videos, I have copied a set to my desktop and have another set on my laptop. The issue is this:
On the laptop I open premiere, get media and select the avi file I want to edit, the file appears and you can see the image of the video file. It is then OK to work from and edit.
On the desktop, I open premiere, get medi and select the avi file I want to edit, the file appears but this time there is no image just the audio sign. I try to put it intot he video timeline but it only imports the audio.
I have been stumped all night. Why will it work on one machine and not the desktop?
Please can someone help me with this?
    Cheers

  • Premiere Elements 9 Doesn't Recognize AVI file

I've recently downloaded three long videos from youtube (using a program called "youtube downloader hd"), so I could put together a short little  video. The program originally downloads it as FLV, but gave the option of converting it to AVI, which I allowed. However, when I started a new project with Premiere Elements 9, it pops up saying that the "File is not supported, or the right codec isn't installed." I'm getting frustrated, because I need to finish this video ASAP.

  • Getting Premiere Elements 11 to install on my upgraded OS (Vista to Win 7)

I recently upgraded my PC to run Win 7 (64 bit).  I did a clean install of the OS so I need to reload my software.  I purchased PhotoShop Elements 11 with Premiere last year.  Both ran well on my Vista 64 bit OS.  PhotoShop installed with out a problem but the installer gives me this excuse for not installing Premiere. "This installer does not support installation on a 64-Bit Windows operating system. If you are installing by browsing through the disk content, then please run the "Setup.exe" from the folder "Adobe Premiere Elements 11\PRE 64".  If you are not installing from the disks please download the 64-Bit version of Premiere Elements 11."  Odd message since it had no problem installing and running on Vista 64bit.
I don't have a disk so can anyone tell me where I can find the 64-Bit version of Premiere Elements 11 to download?

You can download the 64-bit trial version of the software thru the page linked below and then use your current serial number to activate it.
Be sure to follow the steps outlined in the Note: Very Important Instructions section on the download pages at this site or else the download will not work properly.

  • Premiere Elements 11 doesn't accpet AVI h.264

Despite the adobe website confirming that this format is supported, the files play audio only, not video, which is a fundamental failing for video editing software, and yes, they did play in windows before anyone asks!, and no, my PC is not out of date, and yes, I do have an up-to-date operating system

  • Premiere Elements 8 non standard editing presets.

    Hello,
I'm using PE8 and I'd like to be able to edit 720p 60fps footage straight from the camera without converting it to 30fps. It was possible with PE7 with some custom presets created by someone. Adobe has conveniently changed presets format and I cannot add those presets to PE8 now.
is there any workaround or do I have to convert all of my videos to 30fps before editing?
    any ideas will help,
    cheers,
    mac

    I have a similar problem. I am
getting more and more upset with Adobe as they had this feature of
creating custom presets in the m
anual (page 34) but not in the released product.
Its a mea culpa for me as I should have really tested the PrE 8 and not assume that Adobe will include what was in version 7 or not just look at the manual.
I shall have a look at what else to do before bin this thing. I am not interested nor should I have to spend extra time & effort to convert files so that I could do is a simple editing.
However I must say there are some really good people like Bill, Steve & ATR on the forum and even if I decide to bin PrE I will still visit the forum as these guys and others are just fantastic with their replies.
Thanking all once again sorry I have no answer for bozziol900 and will try to be more positive in the future.

    KISCH
H.264 or AVCHD (MPEG4 AVC/H.264).avi is not supported by Premiere Elements 13 or earlier. You will need to convert this file to a format that
Premiere Elements supports. Consider H.264.mp4 or AVCHD.mp4.
Depending on the video compression, Premiere Elements 13 does support files wrapped with the .avi file extension. And, the AVCHD video compression is a supported video compression. But the combination of H.264 or AVCHD with .avi (wrapper format) is not.
Any questions or need clarification, please do not hesitate to ask.
    Thank you.

  • Premiere Elements 8 projects setting

Trying to edit video in Premiere Elements 8 that is an AVI produced recording laptop screen with Camstudio (codec is DIVX). I have saved the video in MP4 format using H264 compressor since this format will be the one I use for videos imported from camcorder. When I compare the quality of the AVI video with the MP4 there is an evident loss of quality in the MP4. Tried different setting in the "share" section, same codec different bitrate, different codecs and different video size all with no improvement. Also tried different codec to record screen with same result. Reading around it seems that the project setting when opening a new project greatly affect the end result. Problem is I don't know wich setting would be the best for my video. Anyone ready to help?
    Video spec:
    container: AVI
codec: DIVX (neme: DivX 4 -open DivX)
    pic size: 1366 x 768

Because the video capture is from a computer monitor, the Frame Size is going to be a limitation in PrE (even up through PrE 11), since it offers only standard video Frame Sizes. PrPro offers a Custom Project Preset, where the Frame Size, and non-standard Frame Rates can be chosen to match the Source Files (no Scaling, etc.).
Camtasia uses the TechSmith CODEC's, and when properly installed, can be used by PrPro (and I think PrE), but it is not freeware. Jeff Bellune, who provides a lot of info in that article on Camtasia/CamStudio, that I linked to, uses Camtasia and PrPro for all of his tutorials, seen on www.bellunevideo.com. That workflow is also used by Adobe in the Video2Brain training series, and for some AdobeTV tutorials, so you can judge the quality from those tutorials.
The limitations of PrE will mainly be the differences between the Frame Sizes, and possibly the Frame Rate, from a video capture program, and then possibly the CODEC's used. For some more reading on CODEC's, see this FAQ Entry: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/546811?tstart=0

  • Premiere Elements 3.0.2 Quicktime Export Crash

I haven't used Premiere Elements 3.0.2 in a few months, but now I want to export something I was working on as a Quicktime movie. However, whenever I choose the "Quicktime" option from the Export menu, the entire program just closes without any error message.
If I select export as a MPEG or DVD or Flash or any other option, the program works fine. But, I really need to export as a Quicktime and can't figure out why the program shuts down. I have the latest Quicktime (7.6.4) and I tried re-installing Elements, but still the program shuts down.
    Anybody have any ideas? Suggestions?
I'm using Windows XP with SP3. The program works fine except for this one problem.

    SG
Could you please supply the source of your information that "there is a lot of that going around"?
The user is using an older version Premiere ELements 3.0.2 and the most recent update of Quicktime. So it is very tempting to suggest that Quicktime update is the cause of the issue presented. I have the latest version of Quicktime installed on my Windows XP SP3 computer. I can take a Premiere Elements 7 Timeline with an AVI MPEG4 video, export it with the program's Quicktime basic export (Cable Modem/H.264, default) and save it to my computer hard drive. I can successfully import that .mov into Premiere Elements 2, 4, 7 and 8 without problems. However, before you can start working with the video on the Timeline, you have to wait for a conforming process to occur (whose progress you can follow at the bottom right of the window).
File conversion is an often needed workaround for many situations. But other avenues of troubleshooting should be explored before workaround. Maybe the user will find the workaround easier than troubleshooting the issue to conclusion. But in this case, I would suggest that the workaround may result in unexpected side effects. Every time I have used Prism for file conversion it messed up my Premiere Elements operation and had to resort to System Restores to get back to "normal" with Premiere Elements. I do not know if there is a lot of that going around, but that is my experience with Prism.
I would really like to know more about the user's Timeline and computer environment.

  • Premiere Elements 12 on iMac

    Hi there,
I am having issues with getting my video to play in Premiere Elements 12. Files are AVI and MTS and I can load them in the software, I can edit them, cut them, put effects on, name it. It just WONT play when I hit the play button or the space bar. Anybody else had that problem ? Thank you for your time and help !

    Marie-Pier123
I am strictly an Elements Windows user. So, I am not sure what to expect of Mac for playing back .avi. Then, on the other hand, I am not sure if your issue goes to an atypical video format for Premiere Elements and a suitable project setting for it.
Many have a problem with MotionJPEG.avi in Premiere Elements. When that happens the typical fix is to download and install the Morgan MotionJPEG codec or use a utility that came with the camera to address the codec issue. You appear to have had no problems getting this video into Premiere Elements 12 on Mac. I am assuming that you have the QuickTime player installed on your computer with Premiere Elements 12. Please check out the following to see if any of its content applies to your players on Mac.
    https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4485999
I was able to import the Nikon D5000 MotionJPEG.avi sample into Premiere Elements 12 Windows 7 64 bit. No problems. The question became what project preset to use in view of the video properties
    640 x 424 (3:2)
    24 progressive frames per second
    This was my decision...
    a. set project preset manually to PAL DV Widescreen
    b. import the video with Add Media/Files and Folders/Project Assets
    c. scale the video to fill (just fill) the space in the Edit Mode monitor
    d. render the Timeline content which will surely have an orange line over it.
For export, some considerations might be:
Publish+Share/Computer/QuickTime, initially set preset = PAL DV 16:9
under the Advanced Button/Video Tab and Audio Tab
    a. Video codec = H.264 (to give you a H.264.mov export)
Leave the "Limit data rate to.......kbps" unchecked on first try and then adjust accordingly for subsequent tries.
    b. Video codec = MotionJPEG (to give you a MotionJPEG.mov)
Same comment about data rate (aka bitrate).
The H.264.mov @ 24 progressive frames per second would look like this for the 640 x 424 variety.
The part about data rate (bitrate) is cut off at the bottom in this view.
I played back the H.264.mov and MotionJPEG.mov in QuickTime and they looked good. We can go into more details on that. I favor the H.264.mov. Do you have other requirements for the export?
Please review the above and then let us know if any of that addressed the issues presented.
    Thank you.
