Premiere Elements 12 Problems  ... still quite buggy?

Hi all,
I used Premiere Elements 11 up to now. Currently testing Version 12 - which appears to be quite buggy to me... Now I just wanted to make sure that it's not me being too dump to find the correct settings...
BTW: I'm using a MacBook w/ Retina from 2012 and most current OS X Maverics as well as a freshly updated APE 12 Testversion (...with German Language)...
1. ...and most anoying one: scrolling in the Timeline left and right on (Apple Magic-)Mouse works now just the other way round than in APE 11 (...which was quite intuitive to me... :-( ) ...I've found some settings for the keyboard, but nothing regarding mouse wheel scroll direction. BTW: is it possible to use up and down scrolling to pan up and down the video-tracks instead of moving back and forth in the timeline (...again).
2. Most interesting new feature of V 12 is the motion tracking (at least for me):
a) I can only use motion tracking with those childish graphics and animation. I just want to use it for simple text as the help message suggests should be possible as well. But the button to place texts is disabled when motion tracking is enabled... is there another way to enable motion tracking on a existing text-and/or-graphic-overlay?
b) I have a lot of videos filmed with a GoPro in upside-down-mode, meaning that I have to rotate the videos by 180 degree in Premiere. Motion tracking appears not to be able to handle that. While objects can be tracked (which is also not too easy as i had to find out) the motion track seems to be way more suitable for the non-rotated video... I've found no way, yet to rotate the track as well (without roating the graphic as well).
So... unfortunately Version 12 is a bit frustrating up to now... Thanks for your help!
Losty

Sorry for your challenges, Losty. I'm having great success with version 12!
Of course, Mac Retina displays are known for causing problems like the ones you're experiencing. I'd hoped Mac would have fixed this by now.
You can certainly use your own text, graphic or even a picture-in-picture with Motion Tracking. I demonstrate how in tutorial on the left side of this page. http://Muvipix.com/pe12.php
As for 2b, I have no idea why you're shooting your videos upside-down, but you certainly are adding an unnecessary level of complexity to your post production. I'd recommend that you first right-side-up your videos in Premiere Elements and then output the finished video using Publish & Share/Computer/AVCHD with the M2T 1920x1080 preset to output the fixed video. You can then use your righted videos in a new project and do all the Motion Tracking you want with it.

  • Premiere Elements 9 must quit due to atioglxx.dll

    Hello forum,
Two years ago I bought a new PC consisting of:
    System: Motherboard ASUS P5Q3
    Intel[R] Core[TM2]Duo CPU
            E8500 @ 3.16 GHz
            Clockspeed 3.17 GHz
RAM 3.3 Gb (4 Gb installed)
Windows XP 32 Home Edition Version 2002 SP3
    Graphics card (see text):
            Gigabyte GV-RV577SL-1GD
            ATI Radeon HD5770/PCI-E.2.1
            1 Gb GDDR5/128bit
            (review at http://www.tweaktown.com/reviews/3506/gigabyte_radeon_hd_5770_silent_cell_1gb_video_card/i ndex.html)
    Problem:
After I have specified a projectname after having selected New Project during the startup of Premiere Elements 9 (PRE9)
a Windows message is popping up after about 10 seconds saying that within PRE9 there is a failure and PRE9 must quit.
It showed the following signature of failure:
    Appname: Adobe premiere elements.exe App.ver: 9.0.0.0
    ModName: atioglxx.dll
    ModVer:  6.14.10.9901
    Offset:  00088e2e
And a failure report is generated with the choice to send it to Microsoft or not.
When I repeat the above mentioned procedure then I see every time the same Windows message within a second.
About one startup out of five to ten PRE9 startups is going wrong in this way. Seems a bit random to me.
If I rename atioglxx.dll into e.g. a_atioglxx.dll then no failure is generated!
It seems if PRE9 does not need this OPEN_GL file or it no longer recognize it as an OpenGL or it simply ignores it.
    (atioglxx.dll is described in http://dll.paretologic.com/detail.php/atioglxx)
In the original configuration the PC was equipped with the graphic card ASUS EAH3650 PCI-E 2.0 with the Radeon HD3600 serie.
With this card, PRE9 reacted exactly the same way as described above.
That was the inducement to look for another graphic card.
After an advice (newer chipset, newer/other drivers) of a computercompany I have purchased this Gigabyte GV-RV577SL-1GD a two days ago.
This card needs a external supplyconnection (6-pin plug). The power supply is provided with such a cable and is connected to the card.
But it has not helped to avoid the crash of PRE9.
So it seems to be not the graphics card.
If I look on the AMD support site for the newest driver version for both cards,
Radeon HD3000 serie and the Radeon HD5000 serie, then I see that
the newest driver version is exactly the same for both cards.
I have installed this new version (Catalyst 11.3). It did not fix the issue.
The MoBo has also the newest driver.
I have done a try with a very small NVIDIA card. With this card there were no PRE9 crashes.
But a NVIDIA driver for this card has also not a atioglxx.dll from ATI.
I still prefer also for another reason to choose for this Gigabyte card. And I suppose that a AMD Radeon HDxxxx card also should work.
I am not involved in how a dll file is interacting with a graphic card or application.
So I can not say which component is causing the crash. Is it PRE9, is it the card, the driver
or a perhaps a timing problem anywhere?
The Adobe helpdesk was involved and has analysed e.g. the Windows DXDIAG and MSinfo32 but could not help me further.
Thank you in advance for your suggestions.

    Thank you Bill and Nealeh,
Thank you for your help so far.
Meanwhile I have again installed Windows XP+updates+newest hardware drivers etc.
I also installed the update for Premiere Elements 9 to 9.01
I found also a newer driver for the video card and installed it (AMD version 11.4)
All these actions did not lead to the solution to avoid that Premiere Elements 9 (PRE9) crashes randomly.
With the Trial version of PRE9 the same result
By the way to quit PRE9 I used  Alt+F4.
    But accidentally I pressed Windows(Start)+F4.
This action causes that the Project Name menu pops up (not mentioned in the Help File of PRE9). In fact PRE9 returns one step back.
And that is more convenient than to start every time the program by clicking on the PRE9 icon for  investigating this issue.
So I could immediately answer this "New Project" window by clicking on the OK button.
I do not give it an other name so I answer YES on the "Overwrite"question and PRE9 finalises the starting up procedure.
When PRE9 does not crash I use Alt+F4 to quit the program.
Then to try I used only F4 and I saw that it creates the same effect as Windows(Start)+F4.
So I could rapidly repeat between the "New Project" window  and the moment that PRE9 has finished
the starting up procedure by only using F4 on the keyboard.
And it is still the case that when PRE9 is crashing for the first time after having switched on or rebooted the computer , then PRE9 freezes for about 7 ...10 seconds before it crashes. But eventually next crashes happen immediately.
Besides from my experiences somebody else for me have tested this issue on a HPMEDIACENTERPC with Windows XP SP3 etc. and  with a video card with the Radeon HD 3600.
And he experienced  exactly the same crash with PRE9. Also a conflict with atioglxx.dll.
But he scored a succes by deleting all ATI files, but only installing the displaydriver and not the Catalyst.
So if that helps is it worth to put this issue to AMD for further investigation?
And is it known to you that F4 is causing to open the "Project"window in PRE9?
Thanks a lot for your reaction.

  • Premiere Elements 8 - Still pictures in PE are blurred compared to original

My system is Intel Q6600 CPU, Windows 7 64bit, 6GB memory, 1TB C: drive, 2TB E:drive, NVIDIA GeForce GT 220 video card, Premiere Elements 8, using Microsoft Office Picture manager to look at still originals.
The Premiere Elements 8 project settings include editing mode = DVNTSC and Frame size = 720H x 480V.
My issue is the still picture in PE is blurry compared to the picture viewed in MS Picture Manager.  The pictures are either scanned or downloaded from web pages.  Here is a list of pictures with their file size and pixels count:
Scaned Pics not as good in PE as original
    Cecil about 1921 - 1.5KB - 954x1440 pixels
    Stephson & Nancy Shirey - 147KB - 480x720 pixels

    Cecil 1941 at gas station - 250KB - 924x1482 pixels
    Cecil Marian 1942 gas station - 336KB - 1092x1746
    pixels
Web Pics not as good in PE as download
    Cotton_field 1928 - 372KB - 1600x960 pixels
    Cotton plant 17KB - minor degrade - 350x304 pixels
    Turner School 1919 - 22KB - 450x275 pixels
    Douglas Aircraft Front - 299KB - 720x587 pixels
I burned a trial DVD to see if the picture quality would be better after processing onto DVD but it was not.
What can I do to improve PE picture quality?

Use Photoshop or Photoshop Elements to scale the pictures before you import into PreElements
    Photo Scaling for Video http://forums.adobe.com/thread/450798
Also, do be aware that photo dpi (dots per inch) does NOT translate to video... I don't have the exact number handy, but I think a DVD resolution video is "about" 72 dpi (BluRay is higher, but since I don't do BluRay I have not even a guess at picture resolution)

  • I've sent my student ID but Premiere Elements 8 still isnt working

    Hey,
Im in Australia and i bought Premiere Elements 8 (the education version). I read through the instructions of how to register which didnt help, then found out that i had to send a copy of my Student ID to use it. So i did that but i dont know if i did it wrong or if my student ID doesnt register with Adobe? I've registered it and sent the ID but no reply after a couple of weeks.

I've bought several Adobe products at Educational Pricing.
You can purchase them through a 3rd party (such as academicsuperstore.com) or directly from Adobe. Whoever you purchase from is responsible for confirming your eligibility.
In any event, I'm fairly sure there is not a separate "educational version" of the software. Once your educational eligibility is confirmed, you are sent the same commercial product as everybody else. IOW, there's no "educational version" of their software, only "educational pricing".
I've never heard of buying the educational product, then having to send your ID in. It should work the other way around. Neither Adobe nor an authorized  reseller will send you the software without first verifying your eligibility.
Unless things work differently Down Under....?

  • Jing MPEG4 and Premiere Elements problem.

Has anyone any experience of using TechSmiths Jing with PE?
Jing produces MPEG4 files of screen capture that play fine on my computer (and everyone elses).
I want to import them into PE to enhance them (something which TechSmith are fine with, in fact they suggest importing them into movie editing programs, "like iMovie").
But when I do, although it looks OK, when I try to play them the video is running at twice the rate of the audio (which is cut off halfway before anyone suggests stretching the video).
I had this response from TechSmith:
"We use H.264 for video encoding, and AAC for audio encoding.
This sounds  like a problem with Premier Elements. The Jing capture is working properly, and  playback in other programs is fine.
I would suggest contacting Adobe for  additional assistance, as the MP4's we generate with Jing are meant for Adobe  Flash Player."
I have tried, literally, every single project setting, NSTC and PAL, that PE provides (and yes, at the speed PE creates new projects, it did take me hours), and they are all exactly the same.
    Anyone any ideas?

This sounds  like a problem with Premier Elements. The Jing capture is working properly, and  playback in other programs is fine.
I sounds like more of a problem with the exact TechSmith CODEC used by Jing. Playback is very different, than editing. Also, some NLE programs can handle some CODEC's, better than others can. It could well be that PrE is having issues with TechSmith's implementation of H.264. Many companies will tweak the H.264, and some of that tweaking can cause issues for some NLE programs. I assume that you have TechSmith's H.264 installed on the system. For more info on CODEC's, in general, see this ARTICLE.
For the speed issue, can you change that in Interpret Footage? Also, what FPS rate is PrE telling you it's seeing? What FPS rate does Jing record at?
"We use H.264 for video encoding, and AAC for audio encoding."
There could also be an issue here. Several Adobe programs have issues with AAC Audio, though I did not see mention of any issues with your files' Audio.
    Good luck,
    Hunt

  • Adobe Premiere Elements 9 won't open (says 'my online storage is full' on launcher)

I have been using Adobe Premiere Elements 9 for quite some time now. I've made several projects in the past, and now all of a sudden it says on the launcher "You've reached your storage space limit. If you'd like to back up, store, share, and access your photos online, please consider upgrading your storage plan." I ignore the notification and proceed to make a new project. After it finishes loading, the editor tab pops up, but pops up blank, and remains blank, and there's nothing I can do about it. I don't want to pay for online storage because it's too expensive and I don't have the money, and I don't know where I can delete what seems to be online files. I have tried deleting and reinstalling the software, but I still get the error message.
I haven't gotten any help at all for my problem. I payed $100 for this and I want to make use of it. This is my last hope. Someone please find a solution for me.
    Bronson

    Bronson,
Did you have photos stored on photoshop.com? Ever? If so, they probably have all been transferred over to Adobe Revel if you did nothing during the Adobe transitioning from photoshop.com to Adobe Revel.
Right now there is funny business going on with Elements programs with regard to the Adobe ID and Password sign ins. I still do not see an explanation for not being able to sign in, but the program works in spite of this. I have not see Adobe posting any acknowledgment of the problem or its probable involvement in the situation.
When you reported what I thought was success on your side, I asked
When you get everything together and get a chance, please let us know if it was everything in the list or one particular item in the list that was the key to success?
Never did get an answer to that question whether it was one or a combo of my suggestions that got things working at that time. So, answer to that would help especially now when we seem to get back to Premiere Elements 9.0/9.0.1 not working.
Since your report of success on August 19th how long did the success last? Until today or other?
If you have not already, have you repeated the steps that appeared to resolve the issue?
When you went back to using the "fixed" Premiere Elements 9.0/9.0.1, did you get tempted into clicking on any of the photoshop.com/Adobe Revel lures?
Please review the above and then we can decide what next.
    Sorry for the setback.

  • Why does Adobe Premiere Elements 11 download my videos to my computer so slowly?

Hey guys, I have been using Adobe Premiere Elements 11, for quite some time, and I noticed that its download speed is as slow as a turtle. I know it is not my download speed, because when I download files from the internet, or games, it goes as fast as anything. Just so you have more information, I will tell you have my recording/uploading process goes. First, I record the video (Using Microsoft Expression Encoder 4 Screen Capture). Then, I would send it to my video encoder. (Microsoft Expression Encoder 4). I would then encode the video, and send that output file to Adobe Premiere Elements 11 for further editing and to download it to my computer. Now, everything up to this point takes maybe 30 minutes. But when I get to Adobe, it takes more less 3 hours (give or take a few minutes). Finally, after all that waiting, I upload it to Youtube, which takes about an hour or so. My problem is Adobe is taking far to much time to install/download the video. And as a result of that, I can only put out about a video a day. Is there any way to speed that up, or should I just get a new editing software? All feedback, and help is greatly appreciated.

    Gamer
The typical ways to introduce media into Premiere Elements 11 is via AddMedia which puts the source media into Project Assets and from there you drag the contents to the Timeline Expert view edit.
    These would be your choices.
You say that you used Microsoft Expression Encoder 4 and a picture from Photoshop Elements 11.
Given that you are doing screen captures with Microsoft Expression Encoder 4 and you have a photo from Photoshop Elements 11, but how are you introducing them into Premiere Elements 11? At the same time that we are looking into the how, we need to look into the what, especially for the screen captures. The video and audio formats and file extension among other things are important to the Premiere Elements workflow.
So, again I would ask you to offer answers to what I had asked
I am assuming that you are talking about the time it takes for the video to import into Project Assets for you to drag to the Timeline. Are you observing any indexing and/or conforming going on (bar at bottom right of Expert view interface) during this 3 hour await time?
Among other things, what are you using for Add Media and to get to Project Assets? And, the usual drill, what are the properties of your source media, including size and duration, video and audio compression, file extension, etc.? By comparison what is the size and duration of those Internet games et al. that seem to be transferring to your expectations?
Is this one of those issues where "it never worked before" or "it worked before but not now" specific to Adobe files of the size and duration and properties that you are focusing on?
I see the answers to all of the above as expediting the matter to get your concerns addressed.
    Please review.
    Thank you.

  • Premiere Elements 8.0 Trial Version - Major Headache HELP NEEDED!!!!

I successfully downloaded the trial version of this product with a view to purchasing at a later stage.
The installation was going well until right at the last minute, when the installation decided to uninstall itself.
Has anybody else had this problem?
I am running Windows Vista Home Edition and have recently installed the latest SP2......just wondering whether this has caused the problem

    mike4smq
What browser are you using for the Premiere Elements 8 download from Adobe? Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer (what version?), other.
Mozilla Firefox will not give me a successful download of this software, whereas Internet Explorer (version 6) will. You could try the download from another browser.
Even when I was using Internet Explorer, I had a rough time downloading Photoshop Elements 8. The download kept coming with the name Premiere Elements, instead of Photoshop Elements. I believe that problem was on Adobe's end, since I kept retrying the download every so often, and the problems cleared in the early hours of the morning.
Since I have successfully downloaded Premiere Elements 8, I have had a few odd things going on with my computer, Windows XP Professional SP3. Premiere Elements 8 still does not import .flv. There is a plugin for accomplishing this that works for Premiere Elements 3 and 4, but not 7. I have downloaded and used it and subsequently uninstalled it, no problem. So now I decide to download it to try it on Premiere Elements 8. It will obsolutely not install. It keeps telling me that I do not have any version of Premiere or Premiere Elements installed on my computer. I do have, Premiere Elements 2, 4, 7, as well as 8. Of course, not all opened at the same time. So now I have to figure out why the plugin could be installed with 2, 4, and 7, but not 2, 4, 7, and 8....need to pin down cause and effect.

  • Premiere Elements 13 Frequent crashes

I am experiencing frequent crashes of Premiere Elements 13. I was not getting this in Premiere Elements 11 with all the same settings. Crashes occur during editing, I have not had any crashes during rendering. There is no error message, the app simply crashes instantly.
    Win 8.1, current patches
Nvidia GT 745M (system also has Intel HD graphics, Premiere Elements is configured to use the Nvida card), current driver
    Latest version of Quicktime installed
    8GB RAM
    Intel I7
    All Adobe products current
Is this a known issue, are there any patches planned?

This is not Adobe. Rather user to user forum. So no insider information on Adobe's plans for a 13.1 Update or other.
Typically what specific type of editing are you doing in the program when the crash happens? What is the duration of the project
when the crash occurs? And, what is the format of the Timeline content?
Does the problem exist with and without the antivirus and firewall(s) disabled?
Is Premiere Elements 11 still installed on the same computer?
Premiere Elements does not fare well with more than 1 video card/graphics card. Have you re-examined your video card/graphics card
configuration where you are telling Premiere Elements to use the NVIDIA? What happens if you go with the Intel HD Graphics and disable the NVIDIA?
Please review and consider. We will be watching for your follow up.
    Thank you.

  • Recording to laptop from Panasonic HVX through Premiere Elements 8

I'm going to be using a Panasonic HVX200 and tethering it to my PC laptop  (It runs vista, has a 300 G hardrive and 3 Gig of RAM) via firewire.  I have Adobe Premiere Elements 8 and want to record using it so I can get HD footage (720p) rather than having to record to DV tapes for Standard Def quality. I also have a 1T external hardrive that will hold the recorded video (this is attached via USB, I can't recall the specs right now and don't have it with me, so I hope this is enough info).
I have never done this before, so I have two questions:
    1) Will it work? I believe it will from what I've read (I know that Final Cut Pro on a Mac can do it, but I haven't seen anything specifically about Premiere Elements so any confirmation would be greatly appreciated).
    2) Are there any specifc settings I need to use to make sure Elements is capturing the video in the best format?
If further specs are needed to answer these questions, please let me know.
    Thanks,
    Kelly

You've got a number of challenges here, Kelly -- not the least of which is that you're trying to edit video from a $6000 professional camcorder on a $75 consumer video editor. You're much more likely to have success with a professional editor, like Premiere CS5, Vegas Pro or Final Cut.
The other challenge is that this camcorder records at a number frame rate in a number of formats, many of which are not compatible with Premiere Elements.
Still, if you're shooting in 1920x1080 30p HDV and you're connected to your computer via FireWire, you may be able to capture and edit the video if you've got your PRemiere Elements project set up for HDV. It's worth a try anyway.
According to the specs online though, the only consumer format this camcorder is capable of shooting at 30i is 720x480 (standard definition) 30i miniDV. None of the hi-def modes are standard consumer modes.
Still, this is predonimantly a DVPro camcorder. And the odds are much more in your favor if you edit its video with professional software.

  • Premiere elements

I just edited1hour of video and auto saved and manual saved, than my program crashed and I can't find my video. How do I find my video in auto save and what causes the progrm to crash? This is the second time it crashed.

    1. You need to be running your program Run As Administrator and from User Account with Administrative Privileges. That is a classical Adobe remark found in its documents. Also, installation of QuickTime (latest version) on the computer with Premiere Elements is important.
    2. If you have McAfee active, disable it until you get the troubleshooting done and the problem resolved. There have been several reports of recent updates of McAfee causing major Premiere Elements problems.
    3. Go to the computer's Device Manager
In Windows 8.1 64 bit, one way would be....
Press the Windows Key and then X key on your computer main keyboard to get a pop up which will include Device Manager.
Click on Device Manager and then Display Adapters to get to your video card name. Then click on the Driver Tab for your card.
Please give the name of the card, driver version and date. Then we can help you check that driver to see if it is up to date according to the web site of the manufacturer of the card. (If you see more than one card listed, please let us know that.)
    4. What I need to know about your video is...
    video compression
    audio compression
    frame size
    frame rate
    interlaced or progressive
    file extension
    pixel aspect ratio
Let us try the following to get started in putting that video properties information together.
After you import the video into Project Assets, if you right click the video's thumbnail there and select Properties, what is
shown there for frame size, frame rate, and pixel aspect ratio? What is the file extension that you see when the video is
saved in its hard drive location?
When these crashes occur, what is the duration of the Timeline content at that point and what are you doing in the
Timeline at that point? Are the crashes associated with any one particular activity in the workflow?
    5. Scratch Disks. For now, please let us know where each of the categories is directed (all to same place?) and
what does it show for free hard drive space at that location. All that information should be found under Expert workspace/Edit
    Menu/Preferences/Scratch Disks.
Also, please confirm what you are seeing under Edit Menu/Project Settings/General and Editing Mode, Timebase, Frame Size, and Pixel Aspect Ratio (even if grayed out).
Please check out the above and then we can compare notes as to where we are in the troubleshooting and where we need to be.
    Thanks for the follow ups.

In the meantime I am evaluating the 'cheaper' and without installing / working / DVD problems and possibly send Adobe discs back for full refund.
My Laptop is fast enough and well kept - not other 'larger' programmes have any problems running or installing [Stenberg Cubase Pro, Flight Simulator X and so on] only Adobe programmes!
I am really getting tired now.

    Hello
All problems are carefully separated - not all together, since I am a tidy person by default.
It is very simple and not confusing.
I actually have one main issue with PE7 and PPE7 [which I hope they will care of] and a series of small teething problems as many in these forums have on Premiere 10 since installation because Adobe programmes have 'basic' problems even loading / reading/ converting its own created files.
I looked up for Premiere Elements problems on-line [on external forums] and I can see so many problems and people opting for alternative programmes or getting 2 or 3 different programmes to do the job faster and better - that confirms my thoughts.
I am not here to stir things up [if by any chance you are thinking that], but I am merely trying to use a PAID and SUPPOSED to be GREAT program and it is clearly not my friend.
But if I get pushed up around and treated like a non-in-the-computer-field-person, then I might 'need to' stir things up with 'proves'!
I have been working with computers Hardware and Software since 1975 with the Sir Sinclair Spectrum .
So, I do know one thing or two by working 'manually' and without the 'easy' mouse clicking [!] and my main job these days is to actually fix People's messed up computers, recover data, erase data, etc. and often I find either Apple's or Adobe's programmes not working properly [being the main problem on slower computers] and users tried to fix them and messed things up!
Mainly is Apple programmes [ iTunes is one!] on Windows environment - just pure mess.
In fact I do not keep ANY Apple Programs on ANY my computers any-more and by adding the blooming QuickTime - it actually adds 3 'mostly not needed' applications that must be run in the background only slowing down 'most standard' computers and 'mostly' for no apparent reason but needed by Premiere Elements 10.
Adobe Acrobat Reader too is a kind of an offender in that sense, which I do not use any-more in favour of an alternative and very light program that does not invade your computer.
I could be talking about the above for days ...
The fact I do not know Premiere 10 very well and I am having some teething problems with 'Adobe Premiere Elements 10' does not make me a lower being or anything to the like or even put me aside the forums for being realistic and a human being most of all.
I simply am an  Intermediate / Advanced / Professional Computer User / Repairer [depending on which subject] trying to fix this non-working-properly Adobe's program and get on with his life.
You as an employee perfectly know what I am talking about, the Adobe numerous problems with Elements and pro and the clever Marketing and money making tool Adobe has created around it and I do understand you must keep Adobe's side - of course and that is not a problem at all.
BACK TO THE ONLY PROBLEM THIS THREAD IS OPEN FOR:
Having said that, in the meantime I seem to have solved it myself [as I do most of the time], at least for now.
I am sure many other problems will arise.
    My Solution that worked:
I simply clicked on the time-line [bottom] and then clicked on top menu TIME-LINE [if I am not wrong, it was late night and I might be wrong - do not crucify me please!] and MERGE CLIP and then I let the program do the job I purchased for.
Days ago using the Trial Version [before I purchased Premiere 10] I already read that Premiere does not like either large gaps [I did not have] or even simple clip cuts not merged and it did have 'loads' of problems, but most of them were solved by 'users' mostly.
Anyway, that seems to have done the trick, even thou it did take around 4/5 ours to do 3Gb ! Why?
    My computer is fast.
But I have not checked or burned the files yet - so, I do not know100% - just yet, I will check later on today.
I believe Adobe must prepare a Service Pack with 'Loads' of fixing, there is no place to hide and that may convince users to even 'spend' and buy the PRO version - the ball is in your court now.
I cannot believe Premiere is having so many small teething problems and I am only doing a BASIC test and I can see the vast majority of users of Elements Programs going literally insane and only us, the more Techy ones coping.
    Regards
    M
PS the fact you see an avalanche of problems with my installation is actually normal.
That is because I am a 'fast' and organised Computer Technician which gets on with things and I usually do this with all new programmes to get rid of the possible initial several small hiccups, that other Companies usually fix with Patches - not Adobe, it seems - at least with Premiere elements.
In the last few years are mainly with Adobe Programmes. It is the only way to get the 'basic' program problems fixed straight away, so I do know the next time I run it actually works!
    ADDITION:
    IT WORKS!

  • Adobe Premiere Elements, Photoshop and Flash Player

All of my Adobe products suddenly stopped working. I reloaded Premiere Elements 8 to no avail. Photoshop will no longer bring up organizer, and I can't download the latest version of Flash Player.  What's going on???  I have Windows 7.

I would approach this one program at a time.
Since this is the Premiere Elements Forum, let us start with trying to get that installed first.
What antivirus program do you have? If McAfee, let us know since recent updates of it have caused serious Premiere Elements problems.
Are just the Adobe programs affected by this issue? Are you getting error messages associated with your problems?
Deactivate, uninstall, and run the ccleaner through your computer (regular cleaning and registry cleaning parts) to get rid of any leftovers
    from incomplete installs and reinstalls.
    https://www.piriform.com/ccleaner
    1. Make sure that you are running the computer from a User Account with Administrative Privileges.
    2. Make sure that your video card/graphics card is up to date according to the web site of the manufacturer of the card.
    3. Make sure that you have the latest version of QuickTime installed on this computer.
Next reinstall Premiere Elements 8 with antivirus and firewalls turned Off.
Once installed, then install the Premiere Elements 8.0.1 Update from the opened project Help Menu/Update.
Make sure that you run Premiere Elements 8.0.1 with the automatic features of Background Rendering and AutoAnalzyer turned Off.
Let us see the results of that.
For the next phase, please define your program..."Photoshop" what version of Photoshop CS or higher OR some version of Photoshop Elements?
    Flash Player, what version?
We will be watching for your results.

  • I need a Video Card for Adobe Premiere Elements, what is recommended?

Is the purchased Premiere Elements 12 still in its sealed packaging?
If you have not already, I would suggest that you install Premiere Elements 12 from the purchased installation disc
and evaluate its performance in your computer environment.
    a. Does the program fail to install?
    b. Do you get Display Card errors?
If you are worried about not being able to return 12 once the package is opened, then you can try the following
    a. Download the Premiere Elements 12 tryout files from the following web site and evaluate it as a tryout (full
    featured).
    http://prodesigntools.com/photoshop-elements-12-direct-download-links-premiere.html
Read and carry out carefully the Note: Very Important Instructions section on the web page to avoid Access Denied message.
    b. If the tryout performs well for you, then delete the tryout and install your purchased version with the purchased
serial number included on the packaging.
....other possibilities, but just the above for now.
