Premiere Elements 13 Losing Shake Stabliser rendering on start up

I am using Premiere Elements 13 and find that I lose Shake Stabiliser rendering on start up. All other rendering is fine (effects transitions etc.) I am using a PC with Win7 64bit  i7 processor with 16gb Ram 509ssd disc and a 1Tb hard disc for video.
I have used Shake Stabiliser extensively  in a 1 1/2 hour movie and now find that I am having to remove the shaky clips so that I don't have to rerender all the time on start up. This problem is making the Shake Stabiliser effect unusable.   What can I do to fix this problem?
Thanks

Thanks for the follow up.
You seem to have confirmed an old problem.
I did the following quick test. I found a video sample online that was supposed to come from your camera - it is described
AVCHD.mts 1920 x 1080 p 23.976. Only one I could find. Took it into Windows 7 64 bit Premiere Elements 13/13.1 project along with a wmv file...video
stabilized the AVCHD.mts but not the wmv...Timeline rendered both...save closed the project...reopened it to find the unrendered look for
only the  AVCHD.mts. The wmv file still had its rendered look.
If you decide you need to render the unrendered looking content that was last seen rendered, you might want to consider
selective rendering of the Timeline content.
To do that, in the Edit area, you set the gray tabs of the Work Area Bar to span just the content for the Timeline rendering. And, then Timeline render
using the Timeline Menu/Render Work Area or the Render button above the Timeline. I prefer to hit Enter on the computer main keyboard.
The screenshot is from 12, but the principles are the same for 13.
No one has advanced the programming reason for this Timeline rendered content/save close reopen/unrendered Timeline content look.
It is further complicated by result based on type of content involved - psd, jpg, format of video.
Please let me know if you have further questions on this. If you have, I will comment on them later in the morning.
Thanks.

Where are you getting your information on
Try to recreate the preferences for premiere elements
and using the following path to do that.
    For windows C:\Users\Usename\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Premiere Elements 12.0
You are the second one today who seems to be off the path. Either that, or you know of a new approach to "resetting the preference for premiere elements" using the the Logs Folder and Trace Dalabase.txt file in the 12.0 folder in the Premiere Elements 12.0 Folder.
The path that I find is
    C:\Users\Owner\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Premiere Elements\12.0
and in the 12.0 Folder is the following
    Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 64 bit
Here you have the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file that you can delete. And, if that does not work, you can delete the whole Premiere Elements Folder in which the 12.0 Folder exists.
The Adobe Folder in the above path also contains a Premiere Elements 12.0 Folder which contains a 12 Folder. This particular 12 Folder contents look like this
Even Adobe documentation seem to acknowledge the way to the "preferences" that we are.
    http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop-elements/kb/preference-file-locations-photoshop-elements. html#main_Premiere_Elements_preferences_
even though the document cites an earlier version than 12.
But, I have actually looked at the computer files for Premiere Elements 4 through 12 and see what I am reporting. Have you checked these computer files first hand?
If I am misinterpreting what you and the other person today are posting here, please accept my apologizes but explain the rationale behind your approach.
    Thank you.

  • Premiere elements keep crashing with rendering and mid editing!

    Hey
I have used adobe premiere elements 10 for a little over a month now. But recently pre began to crash then I was rendering a video!
I began searching on "Adobe premiere elements 10 rendering crash", but didn't find a answer. But, I notices that some people had the problem with render crash when the process bar reached 27%, I tried rendering two times in a row, and notices that my rendering where crashing at 31%!
I have really no clue what the problem could be!
    4g ram
    3,20ghz cpu intel
    64bit

Also see this article on PrE crashing, or hanging: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/792580?tstart=0
It starts with a checklist for PrE, then goes into detail on tuning up one's system and OS, and then goes into troubleshooting problems, with links to other articles, and also tools to help troubleshoot the problem(s). The first part is pretty easy, and then things pick up in "degree of difficulty," as you progress, ending with The Case of the Unexplained.

  • Premiere Elements 11 Mac Timeline rendering issue

Every time I try to render my video in Premiere Elements 11 on my Mac the program shuts down.  Please help,

    briank
What are the formats on the Premiere Elements 11 Mac Timeline whose contents you are rendering to get the best possible preview? Do you have this problem with specific media source, and does the problem go away in a new project?
When you drag your file as the first file dragged to the Timeline, do you get an orange line over it or is there no colored line over it then?
If at this point there is an orange line over that content and you Timeline render, is that when you get the crash?
Or, does the crash occurs when you are doing a Timeline render because you have just edited one of the Timeline components? If this is the case,
what effects did you apply to the source and what edits did you perform on it?
If you go to the Adobe Premiere Elements Preview Files Folder in the Adobe Folder, how many preview files are piled up there?
Is your computer connected to the Internet? And, are you getting messages about rendering activation needed at the Timeline level?
Let us start here and then decide what next.
    Thank you.

  • Adobe Premiere Elements 11, Crashes When Rendering

When I try and render a video I get the below error and the program closes. The video I'm rendering is roughly 15 min long. Any help would be great!
I'm using windows 7, and I'm using the latest version of premiere elements 11, and this is on a desktop computer.

I think it is time to take a hard look at the recording settings that you are using for the Dxtory.
Apparently CurtisC is not have the same problems as you with Dxtory video. Please see
    http://forums.adobe.com/message/6318308#6318308
We will deal with the atypical frame size later. Right now setting Dxtory for video compression compatible with Premiere Elements is the task at hand.
    a. consider changing the video codec choice to Microsoft Video 1
    b. consider converting your screen capture to H.264.mp4 with a free program such as HandBrake
Is the Dxtory software installed on the same computer as Premiere Elements 12? And/or does it come with a utilities program?
Let us pause here and review the above.
    Thanks.

  • Premiere Elements 4 - shake reduction

In Cyberlink Power Director Express there is a function to magically steady footage (handy when it was shot by my kids on their first outing with a video camera).
I didn't see anything in PE4 but a quick search on this forum brings up a plugin for Pr Pro called "SteadyMove" but then discussions that I can't follow easily about compatibility on various versions.
Given that I have Cyblerlink and am already exporting to DV-AVI from there I can apply its shake reduction before export. But if the plugin is free, and works with PE4, then it might be worth using there instead.
What shake-reduction options are there for PE4?

SteadyMove unfortunately is not free, there was an educational version that was free that you could download and it was also given away with Premiere Pro, infact I downloaded the educational version and used it with Premiere Elements for a while, but I think they removed the link.
PE7 has a stablizier included, similar to the one in Power Director I quess. Your best bet is to export from Power Director as a DV-AVI and then bring this into PE4 for further editing.
If you want a really good stablizier then I can recommend Mercalli... it is very good, unfortunately not free.

Are these the mobile drivers from the nvidia site or from HP? Whichever ones they were, try the other. It's also possible that your windows updates applied a graphics driver update - that's usually a bad thing. Always get the drivers from HP or nvidia.

  • MPG smart rendering in Adobe Premiere Elements 7?

    Hi,
Does anybody know if Adobe Premiere Elements 7 supports smart rendering of MPG files? I have a Sony HDD camcorder (non-HD) and would like to combine clips into longer MPG files without reencoding.
In the past I have used MainConcepts MPEG Elements, but that is not supported anymore (and there were issues with in anyway).
    Thanks.
    Ralph

I have Mainconcepts MPEG Elements 1.01 installed in PRE 7.
The only thing that I found that doesn't work is capturing. When I want to capture, I disable the plug-in by changing the name of the Mainconcept folder:
    From:
    C:\program files\common files\mainconcept\MPEG PRO PE
    To:
    C:\program files\common files\mainconcept\MPEG PRO PE.RJJ
When you disable the Mainconcept Plug-in, you won't be able to edit any projects that were created with a Mainconcept project preset. Well, actually you can, but PRE puts the project in "Desktop" mode.
There is a registry entry that the Mainconcept Plug-in uses during installation to determine which version of Premiere Elements the plug-in is intalled in and which version can use the plug-in.
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Adobe\Premiere Elements\CurrentVersion
    ApplicationPath: D:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Premiere Elements 7.0\
    Plug-InsDir: D:\Program Files\Adobe Premiere Elements 7.0\Plug-ins\en_us
I also have version 2.0 installed and when I want to use Mainconcept Plug-in with 2.0, I edit the registry settings and change 7.0 to 2.0 in the path names.
Smart Rendering does work in PRE 7 when you have the Mainconcept plug-in.
When you start Premiere Elements 7 after installing the plug-in, make sure to hold down the CTRL-ALT-SHIFT keys so the plug-in cache is reset.

  • [..\..Src\DirectoryRegistry.cpp-283] error when starting Premiere Elements

This error only happens when the laptop is disconnected from our domain. When trying to start Elements I receive error:
Premiere Elements 8.0 has encountered an error.
    [..\..Src\DirectoryRegistry.cpp-283]
Then program will not start unless I connect the laptop to the network - which makes a portable laptop useless.
I have uninstalled and re-installed the program with the exact same results.
    Anyone got any dieas?

Where, and how, is PrE installed? When you launch it, are you running as an Administrator?
First, PrE wants to be installed competely on the C:\ and wants direct access to the My Documents folder. It also wants to be both installed and then launched from an Administrator account.
It is not designed (nor is the big-brother PrPro) to function in a fully networked environment. It will extract media, etc. from an NAS, or from a mapped networked drive, but it does not like to run under most networked environments.
It's my guess that there is something in this installation that it is not comfortable with. More details will likely help.
Good luck, and looking for the answers to the questions above.

  • Premiere elements 12 lagging/running very slowly, impossible to edit videos

Hello, recently I've been experiencing very slow performance from premiere elements, this includes playback, rendering, opening the application and it constantly crashes. It was not that bad of a problem up until about a week ago when I started experiencing severe lagging while editing a video. I thought rendering the video would solve the problem because this has happened before and rendering has solved the problem, unfortunately this time and for the past few days, it hasn't helped at all.
Just some more info:  I use a 64 bit Gateway windows 7 laptop ( I apologize if I don't sound like I know what I'm talking about, I'm a video editor in high school, not a computer programmer)
Any help would be great, I edit videos for my school district's student news and my school's varsity sports teams so I need this problem fixed urgently.
    Thank You!

    jubgh
    You are communicating just fine.
Let us see if we can get to the core of the Premiere Elements 12 performance issues that you mentioned.
    1. Please remind me if you have installed the 12.1 Update for 12. If you have not installed it yet, please do so using an opened project's Help Menu/Update.
    2. You say that rendering helped previously. It could be that you have a pile up of preview files in the Adobe Premiere Elements Preview Files Folder in the Adobe Folder.

Every time you do the Timeline rendering of a clip, the project automatically generates a preview file which is stored on the hard drive at the location that you designate in preferences.
Edit Menu/Preferences/Scratch Disks and the VIdeo Previews choice. For SD project, the file is DV.AVI and for the HD project, the file is MPEG2.mpg (this is the case if the file rendered is a video or a still). Also check out the contents of the Media Cache Files Folder for pile ups of conformed audio files.
The exact location of preview files and conformed audio files (Media Cache) can be found under Edit Menu/Preferences/Scratch Disks.
Also, go to Edit Menu/Preferences/Media and its Media Cache Database area and hit the Clean button to get rid of pile ups of conformed video files.
    3. In the quest for computer clean up, you can consider a run through with the free ccleaner product.

  • Export from Photoshop Elements 6 to Premiere Elements 8

I prepared a slide show with The Organizer of Photoshop Elements 6 and produced a DVD which has good but not excellent image quality (I chose File Setting - High 800x600). To improve the DVD image quality I installed the trial version of Premiere Elements 8. I exported the slide show to Premiere Elements 8 and have several problems.1 The image quality of the DVD produced by Premiere Elements 8 is worse than the one produced from The Organizer (Photoshop Elements 6).
2 The titles, transitions and soundtrack does not show in Premiere Elements 8.
3 The slides sequence in Premiere Elements 8 is different then the one in the slide show in The Organizer (Photoshop Elements 6).
At one time a menu popped up asking me if I wanted to convert the Catalogue of V6. I declined because I was afraid that the V6 catalogue may be replaced and I would not be able to go back to it.
    Please help.

    Conclusion.
My results are consistent with your problems NOT being associated with Photoshop Elements 6 slideshow being used instead a Photoshop Element 8 slideshow in the slideshow transfer to Premiere Elements 8.
Testing. Photoshop Elements 6/Premiere Elements 8.
First I created a slideshow in the Photoshop Elements 6 Slide Show Editor. It included:
    (a) 19 jpeg photos each with pixel dimensions of 3264 x 2448 (that is not recommended pixel dimensions but was used to stress out the project if possible...these represent grossly oversized photos since the goal is DVD VIDEO with standard frame size of 720 x 480.)
    (b) I used a Wipe transition between each
    (c) I used text within the photos (included in the text was a sequential number so that I could more easily visually follow the sequence of the slideshow after it was transferred to Premiere Elements 8)
    (d) I added two audio clips as soundtrack (the first I placed from beginning to just before the last two photos to pick up on any audio out of sync as well as loss of a whole audio clip)
    (e) I used a pan and zoom effect for photos 1 and 2.
The quality of the preview in the Photoshop Elements 6 Slide Show Editor was good.
I outputted the Photoshop Elements 6 Slide Show Editor slideshow, using the Slide Show Edit Output option "Send to Premiere Elements". When I did, Premiere Elements 8 opened, I set the project preset, and it accepted the slideshow. In the Project Media area were
    (a) a folder containing all the individual components of the slideshow
    (b) the slideshow file in a video (grouped) form
The video (grouped) form had automatically been placed on the Timeline as well.
Everything transferred correctly. No problems. SEE IMPORTANT NOTE BELOW.
I even burned the Timeline content to DVD-VIDEO standard from Premiere Elements 8, and the DVD-VIDEO standard played back well on my 19 in LCD Widescreen TV.
Testing. Photoshop Elements 8/Premiere Elements 8.
I repeated the above with Photoshop Elements 8/Premiere Elements 8 and the same slideshow and obtained the same results.
IMPORTANT. Whether it was Photoshop Elements 6/Premiere Elements 8 or Photoshop Elements 8/Premiere Elements 8, I had to render the Timeline in the Edit Mode in order to get the best possible preview so that I could determine/confirm what was on the Premiere Elements Timeline. And, rendering the Timeline as described with all those oversized photos took several hours.
This is what I need to know:
    1. How many photos did you use in the slideshow in the Photoshop Elements 6 or 8 slideshow, and what were their pixel dimensions? If you do not know, you can check it out in Photoshop Elements Full Editor/Image Menu/Resize/Image Size dialog or just place your mouse course over the file on the hard drive and note the "dimensions".
    2. If you transfer your slideshow from Photoshop Elements 6 or 8 to Premiere Elements 8, use the Output option "Send to Premiere Elements", and get your slideshow on the Premiere Elements 8 Timeline, do you render that Timeline by pressing the Enter Key of the computer main keyboard so that the red line over the Timeline turns green when the process is complete?
    3. Is your computer optimized, defragmented, cleaned up, scratch files directed to an external hard drive (NTFS formatted), etc. If you are using an external hard drive for the scratch files, is there enough space there for them?
    4. What is your computer operating system and what are its resources, such as, available RAM and free hard drive space. Have you checked your computer's virtual memory set up?
Stay the course on this to rule in or out the above non wmv approach to getting your slideshow as a DVD-VIDEO. But if you do decide to detour over to Save As File Movie .wmv and you are dealing with oversized photos and an offending component in the slideshow, the the writing of the .wmv becomes a possible focus point for errors. And, if the .wmv is destined for DVD-VIDEO, then use the file size (also known as profile) = NTSC DVD (720 x 480).
I suspect that the problem core goes to
    (a) use of oversized photos
    (b) offending component in slideshow
    (c) size of slideshow
    (d) computer resources
    (e) combination of all or any one of above
I will continue to watch for your progress.

  • How to burn my Video to a DVD in Premiere Elements 7?

    I have a
video of my son's Basketball team and I save it
on my Hard Drive thru Premiere Elements.I did make it a
project. I now want to burn it onto a DVD and don't want
anything more such as timelines and or screen lines.
Can someone step me thru the process?
    Thank You

    THEVIDEOKID
We have a lot of details to sort through systematically to get your the DVD-VIDEO that you want, but let us try some preliminary questions and answers to get started:
    a. The file that you clicked on to open your video in the Premiere Elements 7 Timeline...did it have a file extension of .prel? That is the file extension of a Premiere Elements project.
    b. When you started that project, did you set it up for NTSC DV Standard or Widescreen or the PAL counterpart?
    c. If you are working with the project.prel, when you open the project.prel, do you see your video on the Timeline? Does it play back in the Edit Mode Monitor if you hit the Play button of the Edit Mode Monitor?
    d. When you get to Share/Disc/Disc, what preset did you set...NTSC Standard or Widescreen or the PAL counterpart?
    e. After you have hit Burn in the Burn Dialog and during the encoding burn, the image in the Monitor stays at the image where you left the Timeline indicator back in the Edit Mode....nothing changes there, except maybe the image will dim during the encoding/burning process.
    f. IMPORTANT...do you get a message saying the the burn to disc has been successfully completed, followed by the DVD burner tray opening?
    g. If so, put the DVD back in the burner tray, go to My Computer/DVD drive. Right click the DVD drive and select Explore. Do you find content of two folders, one named OpenDVD and the other VIDEO_TS?
Where are you trying to play back the DVD-VIDEO that you believe that you created?

  • Premiere Elements 4 auto analyze off

Help.  I tried to install Premiere Elements 9 on my old Vista machine and got the dreaded error 1935 CE3230AC-E72E-3EDF-8A57-87FCE1CF2629 HRESULT: 0x80071A30.  Searching for help, I came to the conclusion that it is a registry cash screwed up and reinstalling Vista is really the only way.  So I went back, reinstalled Premiere Elements 4 and came here for help with:  Auto Analyze, scene detect seems to be on and I can't turn it off??? Capturing video from DV leaves me with 100 files instead of the 1 I want.  Impossible to find help/support for PE4.  Anyone know now to turn this make many files on capture off????

    Hello Steve
I have attached a couple screen shots.  Let me know if you have any trouble seeing, I can always post them to another location.
    You say
You can launch the Elements Organizer from the Premiere Elements Welcome screen when you first start the program.
I have attached the welcome screen where I see no way to launch Ele organizer.  What am I missing?  The top menu items are all unaccessable.
    You say
The option to break scenes by content is on the the Capture screen, which opens when you select the DV Capture option under the Get Media button under the Premiere Elements Edit tab.
I can find no such option except one grayed out under clip back at the project screen.  Again I have attached a couple screen shots to show you what I see.
There must be something obvious that I am missing or that is different about my APE4 instance.
    Happy Sunday

    Report
In order to turn off the background Auto Analyzer, you need to be in the Elements Organizer program. Not Premiere Elements. You can launch the Elements Organizer from the Premiere Elements Welcome screen when you first start the program.
The option to break scenes by content is on the the Capture screen, which opens when you select the DV Capture option under the Get Media button under the Premiere Elements Edit tab. This will only affect how the program performs with freshly captured DV video, of course.

  • I am unable to open premiere elements 11 PDapp.exe (0xc0150002)

Also I had to reinstall Adobe aplication manager, I reintall the hole program too. and do not work

Thanks for the follow up information.
The first thing that is of concern is the 2 GB of installed RAM. But, that should be enough to get at least Premiere Elements 7 installed.
When you started the reinstall of the program, did you do so with the antivirus and firewall(s) disabled? The typical scheme would be
    a. uninstall (Control Panel route)
    b. ccleaner run through (regular cleaner and registry cleaner parts)
    c. reinstall with antivirus and firewall(s) disabled.
What was your source for the Adobe Application Manager? Have you confirmed that your Premiere Elements 7 is installed or not via its presence or absence in Control Panel/Programs?
    Please explore

then in the Adobe Folder is the OOBE Folder. Rename the OOBE Folder from OOBE to OLDOOBE.
    Does the issue disappear?
We could also look at deleting the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file and the whole 7.0 Folder in which the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file exists.
