Premiere Elements 13, on Windows 7 64 bit, Problem fading to black at end of video.

With Premiere Elements 13, on Windows 7 64 bit, I am attempting to end a video with a fade to black transition.  For whatever reason, it is fading to black then returning.  Yes, I have tried it all three ways right, left and in between, but the it keeps fading out then in.  And yes the transition is at the very end of the clip.

morrisst
I have Premiere Elements 13 on Windows 7 64 bit.
When I apply the Dip to Black video transition to the last Timeline clip, the Alignment is Left Clip. You have been there and done that.
Can you post a screenshot of what you are seeing when the Dip to Black transitions stops on your Timeline?
When I do as you have suggested I see this
Have you expanded the Timeline with the -+ slider above the Timeline and inspect the end of the clip as well as
other track content above or below, do you detect an fragments that might be a factor in what you are seeing?
If you start a new project, do you get the same result?
Could you post a screenshot displaying what you are seeing with the Dip to Black video transition placed at the end
of the last clip on your Timeline (Alignment: Left Clip)?
Thank you.

  • Premiere Elements 9 Tryout Serious Display Problem

I will confine my editorializing to "Deja vu, all over again" and describe the Premiere Elements 9 problem that sounds like I was reliving the release of Premiere Elements 8.
I downloaded and installed Premiere Elements 9 tryout, and it worked great for about 7 days. With no changes in the computer environment, suddenly when Premiere Elements 9 was loading a new project, it would stop at PlayerMediaCore.prm and pop up a message:
"We have detected an incompatible driver. To get a better and faster playback performance, please update your display driver. Display driver details: NVIDIA Corporation GeForce....." and it went on to fully name my video card driver. When I clicked on OK, the program continued to load completely and opened to the workspace where the Edit Mode Monitor performance was, best described as, wacky....Timeline content that would not present in the Edit Mode Monitor, Preview Windows that froze in the Edit Mode Monitor, etc. And, Edit Mode Full Screen Previews did not work at all. The technical irony in all this was that I have Premiere Elements 6, 7, and 8/8.0.1 all installed on the same computer, and all were still performing great when I was using them one at a time as a control.
When I went to Hardware/Device Manager and attempted to "update" my NVIDIA card driver, the "update" that installed automatically was older than what is was replacing. BUT, now Premiere Elements 9 did work as expected. HOWEVER, now my Premiere Elements 6, 7, and 8/8.0.1 were crashing at various times from loading to opening of the workspace. I am still hunting for a replacement NVIDIA driver that will fix the Premiere Elements 9 display issue and not kill my Premiere Elements 6, 7, and 8/8.0.1.
In investigating this matter, I noticed that the Premiere Elements 8/8.0.1 "Enable GPU Playback" is gone in version 9. And, now, if you right click the Premiere Elements 9 Edit Mode Monitor, you have a Playback Quality option of Automatic or Highest. That tells me that Adobe was at work making changes in the name of better. And, I am wondering if what I am encountering is related to Adobe's attempted improvements in display which was one of the issues in Premiere Elements 8.0 when it was released. Or, could this be related to making AVCHD a native format? Lots of possibilities.
The above is my long way of saying "Has anyone run into this type of situation with Premiere Elements 9, any workarounds found (other than buying a new video card just for Premiere Elements 9, ???"
At this point, I know of one other person who got a similar message from Premiere Elements 9 and resolved the problem by updating the NVIDIA card driver. But that still raises the question "Do we need a special video card driver just for Premiere Elements 9?" and "Why?"

    To Vijay and A.T. Romano:
I am happy to help out any way I can. First, I do plan on installing PE9.0 on 2 other computers, both running Windows XP. Currently, both of these computers (Dell desktop and laptop) have PE2.0 running, with no problems. I will try to do these installations later on today.
The 2 new computers have Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit. While I have installed PE2.0 on these computers, the program runs slowly. I assume PE2.0 and Windows 7 are not compatible. As I mentioned before, PE 9.0 runs fine on the Dell desktop. It does not play videos on the Sony laptop.
The contents of the text file are..
    ##FALSE#0#0#0
The error message when the program is launched is..
Display driver details :NVIDIA Corporation – GeForce GT 330M/PCI/SSE2 3.0 NVIDIA 188.67
I do hope this help. I can only guess that the problem is wide spread.
    Thank you again.

  • Premiere Elements 4 on Windows 7 shuts down when I try to create disk folder

Loaded Premiere Elements 4 on a new computer running on Windows 7.  Previously used this software on Windows XP with no issues other than slow.  After creating a project and going to Share/Burn Disc I receive a message that Adobe Premiere Elements.exe has stopped working.

    Dolly Jeane
Are you getting any message about MPEG2 Activation?
What are you trying to do....burn to folder Folder (4.7 GB) or burn to disc? There seems to be a conflict between your thread title "create disk folder" and body of reply "going to Share/Burn Disc".
I have Premiere Elements 4 on Windows 7 64 bit, and it has been running OK for Share/Disc/DVD disc with the standard or widescreen presets.
Are you having problems with the burn to folder as well as burn to disc? If you have not tried burn to folder, please try that and let us know how that works.
Also, please tell us what the burn dialog shows in its Quality area for Space Required and Bitrate (with check mark next to Fit Contents to Available Space.

  • Premiere Elements 8/9 Windows 7 64bit

    History....
I was running Premiere Elements 8 on Windows 7 32 bit with little to no problems.
I recently Upgraded my system primarily for more RAM to use with video editing and upgraded to the 64 bit version of Windows 7.
I re-installed elements 8 and the same format of video that was fine on the 32 bit now showed up as a red screen in playback through elements with audio.
This wasn't the only problem.  Sometimes when starting up elements the home screen was just blank and would not show the timeline or any other boxes for that matter.
I decided to purchase elements 9.0 and so didn't try too hard to iron out the above details.
However I'm now experiencing the very same problems with version 9.
When the program starts up (no error messages) the screen just shows me the shell  and no other boxes show including the timeline!!!
Everything is greyed out other than starting new project again which throws up the same scenario.
    PLEASE HELP!!!!!
PS I have also tried changing the project settings but to no avail

Hey Bill and thanks for your answer.
Without changing a thing (to my knowledge) Prem 9 is now starting up properly.
Well 5 out of 6 start ups have been successful!!
Not sure why this is, but project editing and manipulation all seem to working fine and have even exported an end product!!
I guess I'll just have to see how things go.
Thanks again for your suggestions and Happy New Year!!!!

•What version of Premiere Elements? Include the minor version number (e.g., Premiere Elements 12 with the 12.0.1 update).
•What operating system? This should include specific minor version numbers, like "Mac OSX v10.6.8"---not just "Mac"
•Has this ever worked before?  If so, do you recall any changes you made to Premiere Elements, such as adding Plug-ins, brushes, etc.?  Did you make any changes to your system, such as updating hardware, printers or drivers; or installing/uninstalling any programs?

  • Trying to install Premiere Elements 10 on Windows 7 but keep getting error message 'A reduced set of content has been installed' - help!

We bought Premiere Elements 10/Photoshop Element 10 a while ago and it worked brilliantly on our Window XP machine, but since we moved to Windows 7 last year we can't get Premiere Elements 10 to work properly and always get the error message 'A reduced set of content (Instant Movie Themes, Title and Menu templates, etc) has been installed. You can install the full content by inserting your Content DVD or downloading it. Do you want to install now?'. So I've tried reinserting the DVDs and installing them. I've uninstalled all the software and started again, but each time I get the same message at the end of the process. I've spoken to the computer shop I bought the computer from and they say Windows 7 is incompatible, but that doesn't seem to be what the Adobe web site says. Please, any advice welcome as I've got a year's worth of videos I need to edit.

Are you working with Windows 7 32 bit or 64 bit? What video card/graphics card does your computer use? NVIDIA GeForce? And, are you doing your download and installing with antivirus and firewall(s) disabled?
Premiere Elements 12 is compatible with Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 64 bit.
If you have tried to obtain the Premiere Elements 10 Content from the installation disc labelled for Content for your version and operating system and that is not working, then can try downloading and installing the Content from the following Adobe link if you do not decide to click on the message to initiate the content download from within the program.

Premiere Elements 9 on Windows 8.1 64 bit
There is no need to give up your Premiere Elements 9 because of the downloading situation which you have described. That is, unless you need video editing features that are not offered in your version. Let me give you the how to details....
    1. With Premiere Elements 9 closed, download and install the 9.0.1 Update from the following link
Adobe - Premiere Elements : For Windows : Premiere Elements 9.0.1 update
    2. With Photoshop Elements 9 closed, download and install the 9.0.3 Update from the following link
Adobe - Photoshop Elements : For Windows : Adobe Photoshop Elements 9.0.3 update
On this one, I would suggest that you DO NOT download and install. Since its release, Barbara Brundage (expert) has
    recommended no using this update.
    Photoshop Elements 9.0.3 | Barbara's Sort-of-Tech Blog
    3. Camera Raw 6.5
Adobe - Photoshop Elements : For Windows : Camera Raw 6.5 update for Elements 9
You should not need any more updates after the above mentioned. No further updates.
If you need any help with the Camera Raw manual install or other on this, please let me know...have been
there and done all of this before.
We will be looking forward to the outcome.
    Thank you.

  • Adobe Photoshop en Premiere Elements 13 - Nederlands/ Windows

Well, the English version comes with both a 32-bit and a 64-bit installer. I don't know why the Nederlands installer would be different, but if you can, I would download it as a trial first.

I am not certain how your post contributes to an understanding of the question asked.
Great that you have Premiere Elements 10 and 11 on Windows 7 32 bit, but you are not pointing out to the writer that, under those circumstances, your Premiere Elements 10 and 11 are 32 bit applications running in a 32 bit computer environment and as such have the limitations of 32 bit system, including max supported installed RAM = 4.0 of which typically 3.0 or less of that are available.
And you have not indicated how the writer of the thread would obtain a 64 bit version of versions 10 and 11 if that was what is wanted.
All of those points and more had been made in the thread before your post.
How is your post responding to the thread as titled and question described?
have 64-bit win 7 pro.........which premiere OR premiere elements will utilize 64-bit fully?

  • Premiere Elements 12 Incompatible Display Driver problem

I recently bought Adobe Premiere Elements 12 and installed it with no problem. I tried to run it but it keeps saying that my display drivers are incompatible. My AMD Radeon 6950 has up to date drivers and I even tried deleting the BadDriver.txt, but it keeps appearing when I try to open the program. I would appreciate any help. I have tried almost everything.

    truevagabond
Great job in solving your own issue.
Just a note, when you delete the BadDrivers.txt file, it is normal for the program to generate a new one when the program is opened again. And hopefully the program now works without display error messages.
That BadDrivers.txt file deletion has its origin in the days of Premiere Elements 9 and has continued to help others with later versions as well...after updating video card/graphics card driver is not the answer. The rationale behind BadDriver.txt file deletion can be found in post 10 of the following older thread

  • Transferring Premiere Elements 11 from Windows 7 to Windows 8 computer question

Do i have to use my backups to reinstall Premiere Elements correctly, or can i simply add the internal drive i used in Windows 7 strictly for Premiere, move it to the new Windows 8 computer, reinstall the Elements program, and direct it to the proper hard drive?  I have current incremental backups on a NAS drive, but it seems like i should just be able to use the internal drive that already has everything on it.
    Thanks,

    awgriffey2013
What do you have -  purchased installation files/serial number from an online purchase from Adobe direct or installation disc with serial number purchased in boxed packaging from an authorized reseller.
If you do not plan on using 11 on Windows 7 thereafter,
Deactivate 11 on 7, Help Menu/Deactivate - close out of there
    Uninstall Control Panel Route
Deactivate and uninstall are not the same thing. Depending on your plans, you may not want to uninstall, just deactivate.
You are simply going to install Premiere Elements 11 to Windows 8 computer, using installation files or installation disc.
Do you have Premiere Elements 11 Windows 7 projects that you want to salvage? If so, how many? I would archive them
File Menu/Project Archiver/Copy Project and transfer the Copied Folder via USB to the Windows 8 computer.
For Elements Organizer considerations, please review the following
    http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop-elements/kb/backup-restore-move-catalog-photoshop.html
At this time I have no comments on your backups on NAS and how it might relate to your end goal.
Please review the above and then let us know if any of the above works for you.
    Thanks.

Add On...Just in case note, Adobe allows you to install/activate the purchase serial number for a given product on no more than
2 of your computers.  Then use these same products with the same activated serial number one at a time.

How do add .mov files in Premiere Elements 11 with Windows 8? I get a generic error message.

    Hi Steve,
Thanks for your quick response. The original movies were taken on a Canon ES970 (1990's). I don't know the resolution but things were not as high tech back then.,.. I used a Roxio software to convert them on my MacBook Air. I didn't realize that I could use Adobe Premiere Elements to do that or I would have. However my old camera did not have a cable to attach it to a computer and the Roxio software came with it.
I then saved the recordings on an external hard drive. I did not make movies from them using iMovie or edit them in any way. They are simply .MOV files and they can be played on my Mac. Upon realizing how much memory it takes to work on videos, I decided it might be easier to burn DVD's on my husband's  new Dell desktop that came with Windows 8. I downloaded Quicktime as suggested and still the movies can't be added to Premiere.
