Premiere Elements 3.0.2 running in background. Can't access it.

Hi.
I have recently got a new quad-core AMD computer with Win7 on it, + 4g RAM.
For the last couple of days, PE3 (with updated patch) was working fine.
Today, however, I can't get into it. If I hover over the icon, I can see my file + it also shows up as 'Running' in Task Manager.
But I can't get into it!
Oh, I have also put in the disk and done a repair.
I would really appreciate help from u gurus out there PLEASE!

I have actually done several restarts + have uninstalled and re-installed twice.
The bizarre thing is that I did two hours of editing last Friday, with NO PROBLEMS!
That night, I installed two programs; Nero Burn lite and Fair Use Wizard. So yesterday I uninstalled both of them and then again tried to re-install PE3 - but still having the exact same problem. The computer is treating it as if it's running (in Task Manager, etc), but I can't see it.
Does anyone else have any suggestions???
I am very reluctant to transfer this file to PE9, because I had previously tried that several weeks ago, and the quality just isn't very good.

I want to give users ability to schedule a report to run in background but No access to transaction Sm37.
What can be the process/steps to work and morever if we do this is there any disadvantages that users
can face later...

Sorry, I misread your question - thinking that the report should only be run in the background.
I agree with the others (also about SMX and SMXX to display their own jobs, but not change them afterwards), but which report (tree) is this?
You can still give the user an ability to maintain a variant via transaction VARCH though (no execute possibility) . It will check S_PROGRAM p_action VARIANT or look for a user specific protection flag.
But then the user can submit it online as well from other transactions. That is why I thought you were looking for a way to run it as low priority in the background only.

Do you have the purchased serial number? What computer operating system?
If you purchased from Adobe direct, you can get download installation files from "My Orders" at the Adobe web site under your Adobe ID and Password (http://www.adobe.com).

3.0 Running in Circles - Can't access

I've been using this new computer with all new install xp sp3 and AA3.0. This has worked for more than 6 months, no problems. I now have a UAD card installed and everything has worked. With this new system I haven't needed to lock any effects, no problems untill now. I'm working on a slightly bigger project and locked some effects and then the program stopped. The message I get is:
Shutting down. To continue where you left off, you must restart Audition. And I select "OK" Now I get "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library. R6025 pure virtual function call" message. I can't get into Audition to undo what I've done.
Some sessions are unreplaceable.
I understand some kind of corrupted registry file or something like that.
Any suggestions?

My comp. guru fixed it in about 10 minutes. I had a bad file. It was deleated and automatically put back correctly. Works fine now.

Do you recall the precise last steps you took before Audition stopped working? Did it crash and start giving this error when you launched it again, or did this just occur at random after working fine the previous time?
How far does the start-up process get before you receive this error? Do you see the Audition splash screen? Does it begin to show the UI before crashing? Have you already installed the Audition 3.01 update patch?
My first suggestion would be to wipe the application preferences and try launching it again. To do this, rename the following "3.0" folder to "3.0.BAK" and then launch Audition
XP: C:\Document and Settings\<your username>\Application Data\Adobe\Audition\3.0\
Vista/Win7: C:\Users\<your username>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Audition\3.0\
Renaming the folder instead of deleting it will retain your previous preferences and effects presets in case this is not the problem.

Premiere elements 12 won't run

Hello.
I have an issue with my Adobe Premiere Elements 12.
Purchased bundle Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements year ago and installed with no problems.
Did not use Elements till now and when run it, it requested log in to Adobe account which I did, asked for my incense which I added but after that it started from the very beginning asking for logging in etc.
So I un-installed it and re-installed. No issues whatsoever. Then asked to provide license detail, everything ok. When pressed Accept T&C the Premiere shuts down.
When restarted the same thing happens - it asks for license then shuts down. I can't make it run.

if you reset and that fails, uninstall, clean (Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6) and reinstall.

Newly installed Premiere Element 13 won't run.

I just installed Premiere Element13. The program launches but when I select either "New" or "Existing" project, a pop-up will show with the message"Adobe Premiere Element.exe - No Disk" "Please insert disk in drive D". The pop-up cannot be dismissed and the program is stuck there and won't even close. I have to go to Task Manager to end it! I am running Windows 8.1, i5 4670K CPU, 8G RAM, 1T HD with DVD burner. Any suggestion?

I just installed the purchased version of Premiere Elements 13 on Windows 7 and 8.1 64 bit. Interesting....
1. Beyond the usual, there seems to be a problem with this version's Interpret Footage and Properties readings for the .mod widescreen 16:9 file

2. With the Sept 2014 tryout there was a video transition named Funnel which is not there now in December 2014 in the
purchased version.
3. In the Sept. 2014 tryout, there were 2 new Movie Menu themes in the Kid's Corner category (Recital and Back to School). They
are not there in my December 2014 purchased Premiere Elements 13.
4. There are some reports about some .m2ts files having no sound only in the Elements Organizer 13 player. More news on that.
This just might be a problem with AC-3 (Dolby Digital) support in this particular user file in the Elements Organizer 13 player. If you run into this type of issue, please let us know.
But, right now all is moving along nicely. Hope all is going well there.

When you get the error message " RUNNING SHORT ON MEMORY" save your work > in Premiere Elements while editing with H.264 mov files in excess of 1GB is it related to the Microsoft Operating System Limit of 4GB and 2GB performance of the program to 2GB ?

The H.264 mov 1920x 1080p clips are from a Canon 5D Mark II which we have been using for over two years mainly for stills. however, the movie capabilities of this camera has been used commercially re: jazz band performances and promos. We have successfully used it to produce DVD's and Blu-Ray discs and Export to Tape. However, the one glitch we have had is importing a large number of clips into Premiere Elements 4. it will take approx 30 clips at 25mb each which can be easily rendered and then Exported to Movie as HDV/mpeg-2 Uncompressed avi,( they DELL have recommended to go to CS5 as soon as possible, which we intend to do) to be finally edited in Premiere Pro 1.5.1 as it does not like H.264 mov.
According to Dell Technical Support Australia the 4GB Operating System Limit in Windows and the 2G performance of the 32 bit Adobe Software is causing the issue , even in our i7 Wndows Professional Quad Core with 12GB RAM. The size of some of the productions sometimes exceed 98 GB and run after transcoding very smoothly in Premiere Pro, which never crashes, and has been used for over 3 years without problems at all.

I bought adobe photoshop and premiere elements 13 and installed first of all adobe premiere on my laptop with windows 8. Every time I start the program it tells me to register the program and to accept the therms and conditions of adobe. After I ACCEPTED THEM NOTHING ELSE HAPPENS; THE PROGRAM STOPS SOMEHOW????
I reinstalled the program, I registered the Program directly at the homepage, nothing solved the problem...

I work with a normal Compaq LAPTOP 1,72 GHZ and 2 GB RAM Windows 8.
The processor clock speed is low, but look at the installed RAM of 2 GB. I suspect much too low. If you have high definition project with video compression like AVCHD, you should be in for major problems even if you get the program to open. So, this is a major concern even at the level of trying to get the program to open in that computer environment. How many RAM slots does your computer motherboard have? Can you get at least 4 to 8 GB total installed RAM?
True, your Premiere Elements 13 is a 64 bit application running on Windows 8.1 64 bit and it can take advantage of the 64 bit resources. But you do not appear
to have much 64 bit resources for this to be a positive factor.
With regard to a possible factor that you mentioned...
If you suspect leftovers from previously uninstalled program(s), it is a good idea to go through the scenario
a. uninstall the program the usual control panel way
b. do a free ccleaner run through to get rid of leftovers from incomplete installs and reinstalls

c. reinstall the program with the antivirus and firewall(s) disabled.
Please review and consider. And, then we can discuss the above factors further.

Premiere Elements 12 will not run after install

Long time Premire and Premiere Elements user. Had been using PE 9 earlier this week. Yesterday purchased PE 12. Before even downloading, to avoid any potential conflicts, I uninstalled PE 9, then installed PE12. After reboot, I attempted to launch the application. it fails.
Based on http://forums.adobe.com/message/6329465#6329465 I did not find any prefs files, but removed (both) 12.0 directories in an attempt to help things along. Nothing.

I do not work for Adobe nor am I affliated with it in any way. Just a user in a user to user forum.
In my troubleshooting of various Premiere Elements has have not yet run into a connection between the dvamarshal.dll and the computer's video card/graphics card. But, video card/graphics card compatibility issues can cause the type of problems that you see in the program.
What video card/graphics card does your computer use? Under Device Manager/Display Adapters/, do you see only one card listed or two? Assuming that the card(s) are up to date, then please try the following. We are going to delete the BadDrivers.txt file for Premiere Elements 12. In Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 64 bit, it can be found
Local Disk C
Program Data
Adobe
Premiere Elements
and in the Premiere Elements Folder is the BadDrivers.txt file that you delete. In this Premiere Elements Folder are folders besides this BadDrivers.txt file. You do not want anything in the folders in the Premiere Elements Folder, only the file named BadDrivers.txt file. (When you open a new project, the program will generate a new BadDrivers.txt file and hopefully all will be resolved.) Be sure to be working with Folder Option Show Hidden Files, Folders, and Drives active so that you can see the complete path cited.
The rationale behind the above approach is explained in the following older thread (post 10). BadDrivers.txt deletion has proven to be a life saver for those with display issues in 9 as well as later versions.

What is the oldest Premiere Elements version that will run on Windows 7 64 bit?

I am a teacher who recently upgraded to Win 7 much to my irritation.
I have taught a junior high class teaching Premiere Elements 3 until this year. It crashes with the Windows 7 64 bit system. I am heart sick. We cannot afford a lot of new "stuff". So, do you know which of the older Premiere Elements versions will function correctly on these machines.

You should be able in install and run Premiere Elements 4 on Windows 7 64 bit without issue.
The question is where to find older versions in stock somewhere. If you purchase from a private source, you
may get involved with the Adobe Licensing Transferring matter.

Did your Windows 7 64 bit arrive at a time when Microsoft was still supporting Windows XP Mode? If so, you could install Premiere Elements 3
in the Windows XP Mode of Windows 7 64 bit to have access to it in Windows 7 64 bit workspace. (The Windows XP Mode is a virtual Windows XP Professional
SP3 32 bit).

Premiere Elements 10 will not run.

Program seemed to work fine at first. Tried to burn DVD and never would work. Kept getting error drive busy. Now can not open my projects or get Elements to open new project. Get opening screen and shows me logged into Adobe, but can not organize, open new project, open existing project.

Premiere Elements 9 Will Not Run

I have tried installing it several times but running into the same issue: PRE9 will only open as far as the dialog box to set new project name. Somehow the software will not respond to any keyboard or mouse commands at that dialog box except to mouse click on the X botton at the top right corner, and one other button whose name escapes me at the moment. Nothing happens when I click inside the project name box to try to change the name, or the Browse button to change the path, or another other buttons actually. The only thing it lets me do is close the software.
To clarify: I do get past the load screen. I can click on Edit, then click on New Project, and that's when the bad dialog box comes up.
I have tried installing with the software disk and also from a fresh download from Adobe's site. Photoshop Elements seems to work fine though.
The computer is a Dell i542i desktop with Intel quad Q9300 cpu, 8 GB RAM, Windows 7 Premium 64-bit, ATI 4550 graphics card in dual display mode (42" LCD TV on HDMI and 24" LCD TV on DVI).

Over in the Premiere Pro area (or maybe it was in the Hardware section... didn't pay a lot of attention 'cause it really didn't matter to me) I read a message about using two nVidia cards with no problems (other than no dual-card SLI support)
I **think** that was with two SAME model nVidia cards
And, of course, PPro is completely different code, so PreEl may simply not work with two nVidia cards
