Premiere Elements 7 OUT OF MEMORY - how to get more????
Hello all, I have a MAJOR problem. I know i am running on an old program - premiere elements 7. But I assume that all premiere elements versions do this. I made this video for my sister in law for her bridal shower. It's complete, but when i go to export it will not work. I have tried everything. It now says "System low on memory, please save your project and proceed with caution" All I want to do is export this so I can play this video for the bridal shower (in 2 days!!!)
I am not a computer wiz whatsoever. Can anyone out there dummy this down and help me get more memory? Or ANY suggestions just so I can export this to play this at the bridal shower?
I went to all the adobe files in my computer and deleted everything in there. That didn't help. I have plenty of space on my actual computer, but I don't know how to tell this to use that space! I think the problem is the video I am using is HD. The video is 25 minutes.
ANY HELP??

Just a mention...."memory" as it relates to computer can include installed RAM (physical memory) as well as virtual memory (which is
actually an allotment of hard drive space). There are detailed articles on the subject which seem to get more complex the deeper you go into the subject.
Although most Out of Memory messages relate to installed RAM, it can also relate to hard drive space under certain extreme conditions.
And, there are instances where the particular video format has been associated with getting those low memory messages. Computer can have memory "leaks". And so on. References can be supplied if needed.
And, if you have a 32 bit computer, only 4 GB of installed RAM are supported. So, the reason for the starter question...how much RAM installed? And, if less than 4 GB, how many computer slots does your computer motherboard have to add more to bring the total installed RAM to 4 GB?
So, please supply the starter information (as requested in post 1) so that we can sort in or out factors related to your "Out Of Memory" from your Premiere Elements 7 (32 bit application) project
a. installed RAM, available RAM
b. free hard drive space
c. format and duration of video source on Timeline...you say HD and 25 minutes duration....do you know the video compression and file extension or brand/model/settings of the camera that recorded the video?
d. when are you getting this "Out of Memory" message - while you are still in the Edit area or after you hit Share/ and try to make
your export choice?. What is your intended export under Share?

Thanks for your quick response. The original movies were taken on a Canon ES970 (1990's). I don't know the resolution but things were not as high tech back then.,.. I used a Roxio software to convert them on my MacBook Air. I didn't realize that I could use Adobe Premiere Elements to do that or I would have. However my old camera did not have a cable to attach it to a computer and the Roxio software came with it.
I then saved the recordings on an external hard drive. I did not make movies from them using iMovie or edit them in any way. They are simply .MOV files and they can be played on my Mac. Upon realizing how much memory it takes to work on videos, I decided it might be easier to burn DVD's on my husband's new Dell desktop that came with Windows 8. I downloaded Quicktime as suggested and still the movies can't be added to Premiere. -

Install the excellent 'Search Everything' utility and enter 'extreme' as a search term. Note that when you first run 'Everything' it takes time to index your drive(s). After that though it is a nearly instantaneous start.

We bought Premiere Elements 10/Photoshop Element 10 a while ago and it worked brilliantly on our Window XP machine, but since we moved to Windows 7 last year we can't get Premiere Elements 10 to work properly and always get the error message 'A reduced set of content (Instant Movie Themes, Title and Menu templates, etc) has been installed. You can install the full content by inserting your Content DVD or downloading it. Do you want to install now?'. So I've tried reinserting the DVDs and installing them. I've uninstalled all the software and started again, but each time I get the same message at the end of the process. I've spoken to the computer shop I bought the computer from and they say Windows 7 is incompatible, but that doesn't seem to be what the Adobe web site says. Please, any advice welcome as I've got a year's worth of videos I need to edit.

Are you working with Windows 7 32 bit or 64 bit? What video card/graphics card does your computer use? NVIDIA GeForce? And, are you doing your download and installing with antivirus and firewall(s) disabled?
Premiere Elements 12 is compatible with Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 64 bit.
If you have tried to obtain the Premiere Elements 10 Content from the installation disc labelled for Content for your version and operating system and that is not working, then can try downloading and installing the Content from the following Adobe link if you do not decide to click on the message to initiate the content download from within the program.

Is your formula attached to basic salary element or some other element? You need to make sure that basic salary element has some value and is processed before this formula is called. Are you able to see value for basic salary element after payroll run?

I have now recently downloaded 10.0.2 which is confusing in itself, as, as far as I can ascertain that is actually version 11, but I'm not even sure about that.
Version 10.0.2 is the newest version and the successor to GarageBand '11 (version 6.0.5).
The '11 is referring to the iLife '11 suit of multimedia application - the older GarageBand was a part of this bundle.

You cannot expand the iPad's memory. You delete stuff off, or make sure the next one you buy is larger.

i got my first macbook air about a year ago. awhile ago i started getting these notifications saying "your startup disk is almost full" or "your startup disk is full". i was wondering how to get more space on my startup disk, if that is possible?
Freeing Up Space on The Hard Drive
1. See Lion's Storage Display.
2. You can remove data from your Home folder except for the /Home/Library/ folder.
3. Visit The XLab FAQs and read the FAQ on freeing up space on your hard drive.
4. Also see Freeing space on your Mac OS X startup disk.
5. See Where did my Disk Space go?.
6. See The Storage Display.
You must Empty the Trash in order to recover the space they occupied on the hard drive.
You should consider replacing the drive with a larger one. Check out OWC for drives, tutorials, and toolkits. -
How to get more features for Captivate 6
Hi all,
I've installed Captivate 6 on my laptop at work, I use it for creating training material for our project management system. I was just looking at some Adobe video tutorial and there are some features shown in the videos that I can't find on my captivate (for example Drag and Drop interaction, some particular widget like "Hangman" etc...). I tried to download them, clicking on the "Download more interactions" but there are any available. So, is there a way to get those features, at least those shown in your video tutorial for Captivate 6?

Even if I click on "Download more" on the Interactions window, there are no Interactions available, but is it a problem related to my version or it's because there aren't available new features?

I cannot remember for the Hangman interaction anymore, but Drag&Drop was only available for subscription users, for version 6.1.0.3190 Maybe it was not clear in the video you are pointing at, that not all features were available for box licenses. Which version do you have?

You can look at the material stored and see what you don't need and delete. But a better way is to get an external hard drive and move large quantities of material to the external storage. That will free up internal storage capacity.

Where are you getting your information on
Try to recreate the preferences for premiere elements
and using the following path to do that.
For windows C:\Users\Usename\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Premiere Elements 12.0
You are the second one today who seems to be off the path. Either that, or you know of a new approach to "resetting the preference for premiere elements" using the the Logs Folder and Trace Dalabase.txt file in the 12.0 folder in the Premiere Elements 12.0 Folder.
The path that I find is
C:\Users\Owner\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Premiere Elements\12.0
and in the 12.0 Folder is the following
Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 64 bit
Here you have the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file that you can delete. And, if that does not work, you can delete the whole Premiere Elements Folder in which the 12.0 Folder exists.
The Adobe Folder in the above path also contains a Premiere Elements 12.0 Folder which contains a 12 Folder. This particular 12 Folder contents look like this
Even Adobe documentation seem to acknowledge the way to the "preferences" that we are.

Then i have 2 serial number and when i put the premiere element serial number for getting the app, it doesn't work, the error message says that " we can not validate this serial number please contact the customer service"

I use JSP with Beans, I know that the problem lies in my method "setIntotable()"
because its just that method that is called in current JSP-page when I get this Out of Memory error.

Well-decomposed code would say write short methods that each do one thing well.
If I were you, I'd decompose this method into several and test each one individually.
One advantage of this will be narrower scope. The garbage collector will have a chance to clean up some of your mess that way.
I don't know what all those declared variables at the bottom are about. Are those class members or something? Why are they all public?
Please don't tell me this is scriptlet code in a JSP...
