Premiere Elements 7: SWF import only?

The spec sheet says only "import" but for other formats they add the word "only" to import or export, so I'm double-checking.  Can PE7 export animations to SWF?
Thanks in advance.

No, you can not.
You can export FLVs though.

Did you purchased Premiere Elements 11 from an Adobe download? If so, did you double check http://www.adobe.com Welcome AlaskaBreeCharlie/My Orders and My Products for the download? Or, did you have an installation disc instead?
Depending on the circumstances, you could contact Adobe via its Adobe Chat to inquire about getting additional Premiere Elements 11 download
    http://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html?product=premiere-elements&topic=orders-refunds-and-exc hanges
Click on the above link. When it opens, click on the statement "I still need help" to bring up the Adobe Chat to discuss
    "Orders, Refunds, and Exchanges".
Also, you might consider downloading the Premiere Elements 11 tryout from the following web site and inserting your purchased Premiere Elements 11 serial number in it.

It is important that you read carefully the Note: Very Important Instructions message at the web site. Otherwise, you will run into Access Denied message.

  • Premiere Elements 11 stops importing from DV

    Premiere Elements 11, Windows 8 32, External USB-HD
    Hi,
I am trying to convert my friends' MiniDV videos. I work with a borrowed laptop that has Elements on it but I am not familiar with it. The import always stops after about 18:30 and I get an error message about filesize. The filesize is about 4GB. I vaguely remember some Windows restriction (from the old days). Could that be the reason? And how and where do I change that?
Another question: Is there a way to stop Elements from breaking the video into scenes? All my friends what is to transfer the videos to the harddisk. No fancy transitions, themes etc.
    Thanks.

    Hans
The good news is that you were able to capture your DV data with Windows Movie Maker if not Premiere Elements.
Since that is the case, I do not know if you have any more time or want to do any further troubleshooting on DV data capture firewire into Premiere Elements Capture Window.
If you should, we might revisit a lot of what we did and then more.
    a. Scratch Disks. Especially the Captured Video and Audio, but also any preview files or conformed video and audio files pile ups. Have you checked the Adobe Premiere Elements Preview Files Folder and Media Cache Folder? Has your computer been defragmented lately.
    b. General computer optimization with a product such as ccleaner (regular and registry components).
    c. In general for runtime error

There is a Premiere Elements 11 preference file named Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs. On Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 64 bit it can be found in the path
    Local Disc C
    Users
    Owner
    AppData
    Roaming
    Adobe
    Premiere Elements
    11.0
and in the 11.0 Folder is the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file that you delete. Work with Folder Option Show Hidden Files, Folders, and Drives active so that you can see the path.
But, if you are working in Windows 8 32 bit, I am not sure where that would be...guess is
    Local Disc C
    Documents and Settings
    Owner
    Application Data
    Adobe
    Premiere Elements
    11.0
and in the 11.0 Folder would be the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file that you delete. Again, work with Folder Option Show Hidden Files, Folders, and Drives active so that you can see the path....just in case.
Thanks you for all your follow ups. Continued success with your projects.

  • ?Difficulty with GET MEDIA in Premiere Elements 4; DVD import

In Premiere Elements 4, I attempted to import video footage off a DVD. I insert the DVD, click on GET MEDIA, then select DVD from the options list.
I get the message ADOBE PHOTO DOWNLOADER HAS STOPPED WORKING; a problem caused programme to stop working.
I have reinstalled Adobe Photoshop Elements 6 and used the repair option with my Premiere Elemets 4 disc with no improvement.I would value help!
    Many thanks!

I would address the OS problems first. When things start going wonky in the OS, there can be a ripple effect, where portions of programs stop functioning, at least as they should. Before you go after those "ripples," try to solve what might be causing them.
Now for your DVD (after the OS issues are addressed), PE can Import, i.e. rip from many DVD's. However, there CAN be problems with some. PE is working with the VOB's and these can contain more than just the MPEG-2 Video and Audio. They can also contain alternate Audio, Menus and Sub-Menus, Subtitles, etc. These can give even the most sophisticaed ripping software fits. PE's ripping capabilities are limited, though when they work, they work pretty well. Here is a LINK to an article by Jeff Bellune, in the Encore forum. While it's goal is to get DVD material into Encore for authoring another DVD, most applies to getting the material into an NLE, like PE. Here is a LINK to the PrPro-wiki with FAQ's on DVD.
Get the OS issues straightened out first, then take a look at the provided links, in case PE still has problems with the DVD.
    Good luck,

  • Installing adobe premiere elements 4 and importing video

My Dell laptop will not install Adobe Premiere Elements 4.  I keep getting an Error message.
I do have Adobe Premiere Pro CS3 on my computer, but I am unable to import footage from a DVD.
I think because it is in the wrong format and I need to convert it.
To cope with this problem, I tried to install Adobe Premiere Elements 4, but it will not install.
I tried to contact Adobe Tech Support, but Tech support from Adobe is closed.
Even when it opens, I don't know if they will help.
    Suggestions? Thanks, Sue

I don't think Tech Support will help with something that old... current is version 10
My GUESS is you have Win7 and version 4 is simply too old
As far as using PPro CS3...

  • Does Premiere Elements 10 support importing of digital recordings of broadcast tv shows I've made ?

I am using Windows Media Center and the OS is Windows 7.  These recordings are on the hard drive of my PC.  The file extension is .mtv (windows recorded TV)

Thank you for your answer.  I'm not sure what you meant by "See HERE.....".  I tried clicking on HERE but nothing happened.  I had already looked on the Adobe web site and found under "Home/Using Adobe Premiere Elements 10/Importing and adding media" a list of supported video formats.  That list does not include the format you listed as the ultimate, although the list does contain AVI Movie (.avi).
Could you suggest how I would go about converting the .wtv format files I have to a different format?  I am new to doing video recording/editing, so have no idea of how that is done.

  • Premiere elements 9 bd disk only h264 and no mpg2 hd?

premiere elements 9 blueray disks video format, I only seen h264. In pr el 7 you have h264 and mpg 2 hd settings.
Is the missing hd mpg 2 blue ray settings in premiere elements 9 normal or is it just my demo install?
Can somebody please check for me?
    thanks

If you are shooting in any hi-def format, the video will need to be re-encoded when you produce a BluRay disc regardless. Even if you're feeding HDV in and gettiing MPEG2 out for your BluRay, the video is still being encoded to BluRay format -- so it's not more efficient to create an MPEG2 BluRay.
In fact, since all BluRay players can play H.264 video and since H.264 is a more advanced codec, it makes much more sense to go with this codec for all BluRay discs.

  • Adobe Premiere Elements 10: AVI Sound Only

Please help me! I recently purchased APE 10 and while tring to open a AVI Movie it doesnt show the video i recorded but just the sound. I have a DXG 5B1V and it's brand new from 2012. It records full HD too. Someone please help me on how to fix this. I tried converting but the quality is terrible. PLEASE HELP!

    Welcome to the forum.
AVI is but a wrapper, and much can be contained within it. What is the Video CODEC inside that AVI?
Some Video CODEC's, such as DivX, or Xvid, just will never edit well, and must be converted.
This ARTICLE goes into more detail, and also tells you how to "peek inside the wrapper."
    Good luck,
    Hunt

  • Can I import NEX-VG20 AVCHD 2.0 into Premiere Elements 10?

I'm considering buying a Sony NEX VG20, and I can't find information on whether Premiere Elements 10.0 can import it's files. The VG20 video format is AVCHD 2.0 (MPEG-4 AVC(H.264)), 1920x1080 @ 60p/24//60i. If Premiere Elements can't import the files directly, is there a work-around?
    I'm on a Mac Pro with 10.7.4.

  • Adobe premiere elements 12 with diamond vc500 one touch video capture device.

Adobe premiere elements 12 and using Diamond vc500 one touch video capture device.
AVI files will not load into Adobe premiere elements 12.
I bought what I thought were the two best software and capture devices.
I am archiving old VHS tapes and using Diamond vc500 capture software called EZ grabber. I thought the best archiving format would be AVI files. As I just started this project. I am willing to do what is needed.
That even being, going and buy another capture device that being for a VCR to PC using a USB are even a Video card.
EZ grabber software ask you to record in what format. I picked AVI. There is DVD - SVCD - VCD - MPG4. I want to archive then go back and edit. The DVD or SVCD format, is that not the same as mpeg 2?
You and I know the drill. Saving in what long term archive format and that dare thing about video compression and losing quality of the videos. Its all a nightmare.
Once again I am willing to buy another capture device for a VCR that will work with Adobe premiere elements 12.
Help please with long term archiving format and capture device.
    Thanks

    The answer is B.
Capturing the VHS content to computer (via the Diamond vc500 and USB connection and EZ grabber) to obtain an .avi file on your computer and then trying to import that into Premiere Elements with its Add Media/Files and Folders?
When I do that, the Adobe premiere elements 12 crashes or only loads a 2 mins of video.
The firewire connection device "Canopus" product sounds great. But I really don't want to spend that much on my home videos. My PC does not have a Firewire connection. So add a new card for that and the Canopus product. I could just pay someone to do my VHS tapes.
    Diamond vc500 $35
    Adobe premiere elements 12 $65
    Firewire card $50 plus
    Canopus $180
$330 is way too much for simple home VHS videos

  • Why I can't render m2ts files in Adobe premiere elements 9

I'm new working with adobe. I have a Sony Handycam HDR-CX700V. I am able to import the footage into the timeline, but am not able to render. The red line doesn't apear anywhere. When I choose render work area, the adio tracks and the vidio layers just move up and down as if am scrolling, and plays for abut a second and stops without rendering anything. The resolution of compoent on the camera is set at 1080i/480i. However, I try other video formats such as VOB and the red line is there and I'm able to render, but those videos were captured with an older model camera. My system consist of an Intel(R) PENTIUM (R) CPU 2.80GHZ 2.79 GHZ Memory (RAM) 5.00 GB System type: 32-bit Operationg System and it's a Windows Vista. Somebody pleas help me

Your camcorder shoots in a number of video and audio formats, so it's important first to determine which format you're shooting in. (You say it's shooting in 1080i/480i, but that's actually two very different formats!) If you plan to edit your video in Premiere Elements, it's important that you shoot only in either 1920x1080 at 60i or 1440x1080 at 60i. Do not shoot 1920x1080 in 24p or 60p or you're going to have problems! The 720x480 AVC will also likely give your trouble.
Once you've determined which format you're shooting in, it's important to ensure that the project settings you select when you set up your project match this video format! If you don't select, for instance, AVCHD settings for AVCHD footage, these components will not automatically activate for the program.
The biggest issue, however, is that your computer is way underpowered for working with hi-def video. In my books, I even recommend a dual-core computer for working with standard definition video. For working with AVCHD, I recommend an i7 or quad core processor. Trying to edit AVCHD on a Pentium will pretty much slow your system to a crawl if it works at all. Sorry.
Although you may be able to work with very short videos, if you've got plenty of free hard drive space (I'd recommend 50 gigabytes, at least), your project is set up to match your source video and you don't mind a lot of system lag.
