Premiere Elements 8.0 Trial Version - Major Headache HELP NEEDED!!!!

I successfully downloaded the trial version of this product with a view to purchasing at a later stage.
The installation was going well until right at the last minute, when the installation decided to uninstall itself.
Has anybody else had this problem?
I am running Windows Vista Home Edition and have recently installed the latest SP2......just wondering whether this has caused the problem

What browser are you using for the Premiere Elements 8 download from Adobe? Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer (what version?), other.
Mozilla Firefox will not give me a successful download of this software, whereas Internet Explorer (version 6) will. You could try the download from another browser.
Even when I was using Internet Explorer, I had a rough time downloading Photoshop Elements 8. The download kept coming with the name Premiere Elements, instead of Photoshop Elements. I believe that problem was on Adobe's end, since I kept retrying the download every so often, and the problems cleared in the early hours of the morning.
Since I have successfully downloaded Premiere Elements 8, I have had a few odd things going on with my computer, Windows XP Professional SP3. Premiere Elements 8 still does not import .flv. There is a plugin for accomplishing this that works for Premiere Elements 3 and 4, but not 7. I have downloaded and used it and subsequently uninstalled it, no problem. So now I decide to download it to try it on Premiere Elements 8. It will obsolutely not install. It keeps telling me that I do not have any version of Premiere or Premiere Elements installed on my computer. I do have, Premiere Elements 2, 4, 7, as well as 8. Of course, not all opened at the same time. So now I have to figure out why the plugin could be installed with 2, 4, and 7, but not 2, 4, 7, and 8....need to pin down cause and effect.

I've purchased and Installed Premiere Elements 12 and trial watermark is displayed. I do not have a trial version!
What can I do?

Could you give us some more details.
1. What are you opening that has the Adobe Watermark
a. a project file (project.prel file) created in the Premiere Elements 12 tryout
or
b. a file representing your Timeline exported to a file in Premiere Elements 12 tryout
2. When you open your Premiere Elements 12 from the desktop icon, are you greeting by a
Premiere Elements 12 tryout dialog that ask License this Project or Continue the Trail?
3. If you open a tryout project in the purchased Premiere Elements 12, does that Adobe Watermark ever
disappear
a. Timeline Menu/Delete Rendered Files
and/or
b. Going to the Adobe Premiere Elements Previews File Folder, looking for rendered (preview files), and
deleting them at that level
SD project DV AVI
HD project MPEG2.mpeg with a companion .xmp file
4. When you are in the opened project, if you go to Help Menu/, does it give a category for Sign In or Sign Out?

What model of camcorder is this video coming from?
Are you working on a Mac or a PC? Have you got the latest version of Quicktime, per the program requirements? When you started your project, did you select the settings for a DSLR at 720p? This is a vital step since it will activate the components your computer will need to work with many of these types of files.

Looks like the issue is with the host file.
Please go to the location below and Open the file "Hosts", Check if there is any entry for "Adobe".
C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc
If yes then rename that host file to any other name.
Please Make sure you Sign out from muse and Quit Muse before following the steps above.

From where did you download Premiere Elements 9 at this late date? What computer operating system is it to be running on?
Do you have the 9.0.1 Update installed?

Are you getting any display card errors?
We have just gone down this type of road with another 9 user, so let us start with what finally seems to have worked for him.
What video card/graphics card does your computer use? Is the driver for that card up to date according to the web site of the manufacturer of that card? If not, update the card driver. If the driver is up to date already, then delete the BadDrivers.txt file.
For now I will assume that you are working on Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 64 bit.

and in the 9.0 Folder is the BadDrivers.txt file that you delete. Make sure that you are working with Folder Option Show Hidden Files, Folders, and Drives active so that you can see the complete path shown. After you deleted the BadDrivers.txt and reopened Premiere Elements, the program will generate a new BadDrivers.txt file but now the problem should be gone.
Please review, consider, and then let us know the outcome.

Premiere Pro only giving Trial Version after hardware change

I am a teacher at a high school. We have CS6 installed on our machines. Recently, I was having problems with the machine hooked up to my projector not getting signal to the projector. Since our computer techs fixed the hardware to correct that problem, our Premiere Pro had only opened as a Trial Version. Now it says that the trial has ended. Do I need to re-install the product? Will I be able to install it without taking up an extra license?
I tried to get help via adobe web chat, but I was told my only option was the forum. Any help would be appreciated.

your trial window should give you the option to license. click that option and enter your serial number when prompted.

I would suggest try again, sometimes, web/internet also behaves in a weird way and when tried again issues get resolved as if they never existed.

Photoshop elements 11 and premiere elements 11 upgrade to version 13

Just bought an ugrade to version 13 for my photoshop elements11 and premiere elements 11.
What I did not know or did have to know is that version 13 is not compatible with Windows Vista (stupid me).
Is it possible to cancel my upgrade?

Premiere Elements 12 Free Trial on my Mac

Premiere Elements 12 keeps freezing up when I try to add media. I am running OS X (10.9.2) on my MacBook Air and trying to bring in MVI files (not overly large - individual files are less than 10 MBs). Is this a bug in the free trial?

Before we go off the deep edge here, perhaps some clarification.
What is the brand/model/settings for the Canon camera that you are using?
I think that Hunt may be being jumping ahead here. Let me explain....
For example, the Canon SX1 lS generates files with the file name starting with MVI_XXXX.mov. These are AVCHD.mov files 1920 x 1080p30 and have no problems in Premiere Elements 12.
So, I would ask "In your case, is your MVI the file extension or the beginning of the file name?"

Premiere Elements 11 Mac Trial expires on first launch

Hi,
I downloaded the trail of Adobe Premiere Elements 11 for Mac today as I'm looking for an alternative to iMovie.
I installed it as soon as it was finished and all went OK. I did the trail signup part and created and Adobe account but when Premiere Elements 11 started I got a popup window saying my Trial has expired and I only have this one launch left!! What? Is it really only a single launch trial or has something gone screwy?
I like the look of it so far but come on, surely I can get more than a single trial launch?
Using Mac OSX 10.8.2 and never tried an Adobe Trail before so its not a legacy install or anything.

Sorry but thats completely unhelpful. I have never used an Adobe Product before on this machine, Flash excluded. I downloaded the trail which took 45 mins, isntalled it and then launched it. One the very first launch it told me the trial had expired so I only had that single launch. I had a quick go with it and then closed it. When I try and open again it tells me its expired!

Modifying the executable file - What now??
Attaching a debugger - Errrrr. No idea what a debugger is.
Automated virus scans - Don't run a virus scanner on my Mac.
So basically I've wasted all that download data from my capped connection and had exactly 20 minutes for my trouble and thats it. I'm not asking to extend the trial. I'm asking FOR THE TRIAL! To have it expire on me straight away is rubbish when I haven't done anything. Well, I guess you've lost me as potential customer then. I was going to try Photoshop CS6 as well but not going to bother now.

Premiere Elements 8 free trial download trouble

I want to try Premiere Elements 8, I went to the free download and got 3/4 of the way through and the following message popped up: (summarized) I needed to sign in as administrator, there is only one user, one account set up on my computer and that is me as administrator. I tried just using my first name,then just administrator andthen my first name and administrator but I kept getting the same message. I think because I have tried so many times I now get the message: "The request is not available for download. Contact the author of the page that contains the link. Download will be canceled."
I am using Window 7 64bit, I already have Photoshop elements 8 and because I like that program I would really like to add Premiere Elements 8 for video editing.
Any suggestions. I called but was on hold for 50 minutes the gave up.

Not exactly the same thing, but I have PS, PrPro, Magix MovieMaker and CyberLink PowerDirector on my workstation. All play fine together. Adobe does a good job of "protecting" its programs.
The very worst-case scenario, that I can imagine would be that another program might seize the File Type Associations for PSE, like JPEG, PNG, TIFF and PSD. That is easy to fix, from Control Panel>Folder Options>File Types. This more commonly happens with certain players, like Apple's QT Player, which wants to be the main program for all file associations. One often has to cleanup after such an installation, and re-set those File Type Associations. Just keep that in the back of your mind.

Constant errors with Premiere Elements/Photoshop 7 - will upgrade to 9 help?

I currently have Premiere Elements 7 and Photoshop 7 on my computer. Both crash a lot, often with no error messages. I also cannot seem to backup my Photoshop files. I want to purchase and install Premiere Elements 9 (and Photoshop) but am worried about losing my existing images/video. I'm also concerned that I will have the same issues once I upgrade to version 9.
If I cannot backup these files, is it probable that I will lose them? Any advice is appreciated.

-and how much FREE space is available on each drive (in Windows
