Premiere Elements 8 keeps closing or crashing

Hello,
I was really looking forward to the new Premiere Elements 8, downloaded the trial and....it keeps closing with no error when I am editing very simple videos.  The other thing it does is it will crash sometimes and come up with the Adobe Send Error dialog box.  I have checked other posts and looked at some things like making sure I have the latest Quicktime and I did download the latest Nvidia driver as well.  Thought that it fixed it but nope, had another unexplained crash/closing last night.  I am running Windows 7 RC but dont know if that is the problem.
Any help would be very much appreciated.
Oh, and my system is a quadcore and 8 gb of ram, so it should have enough power.
Doug

These are their forums and should have moderators monitoring these threads. They are the ones that should bring it up to their development team or someone that can look into it, or get someone from Adobe to come read this thread and give their input on it.
Here we agree, though not on the exact details. The MOD's on these fora are volunteers. They are mostly power users, who have businesses and lives far beyond the Adobe fora. They give freely of their time, both answering questions and helping to keep the fora running perfectly. None is an employee and none gets any compensation, other than added responsibility and a Moderator's Console to correct things on the fora.
Other than that point, we are in sync. Especially with a new release of PrE, I feel that there should be an Adobe presence here. Someone from development should be assigned to furnish info on working with the new program, sort out problems and offer suggestions on how to run it to the max. The PrPro forum is very fortunate in that an Adobe employee has showed up and is now a major contributor. I do not know if the forum is part of his "assignment," or if he has just decided to spend time on the forum, contributing. To date, he has furnished tons of great info on upcoming updates and even on CS5, which is still under development. I hope he gets some extra compensation for his efforts and also full support from Adobe.
The Photoshop has Chris Cox, one of the original developers of the program. I do not know if Chris is there out of love for the program, or as part of his work at Adobe. It's really moot, as his contributions are wonderful, whether he does it out of altruism, or because it's part of his job - the result is the same - a benefit for all forum subscribers.
One of the big pluses to having someone from the development team would be that we do not spend countless hours of trying to troubleshoot problems, when some simple tweak, fix or change would take care of it. As we are but lowly users, we have to rely on what we have experienced, read, or encountered elsewhere. None of us really knows what is "under the hood." Even Steve G., our MOD, is on the development team. Now, he probably does get his hands on the beta of every version, as soon as possible, but other than maybe some tips from Adobe, he doesn't have access to the code. His knowledge is built on his experience and a sharp mind to figure out how the thing works. Same for AT Romero. While he gets his copies, as do the rest, he has torn into PrE 8 with a critical and analytical eye and published his observations, built on years of experience with PrE and with NLE work in general. Both are invaluable assets, but with a simple Adobe presence, both could be greatly aided. Going back up to Chris Cox and the PS forum: I've been a power-user of PS from the instant that it hit the PC about 20 years ago. I've done most of what PS can do at one time or another. Still, there are times that I speculate on something in that program, only to have Chris come forward and correct me, explaining exactly what the code does and how it does it. I never fail to learn something new about a program that I have used extensively for about two decades - a little Adobe inside info goes a very long way.
I would also strongly urge Adobe to assign a rep. to this forum, especially now. I would hope that this person is on the development team and not from marketing or elsewhere. I would also hope that this person has actually used the new version in real-world situations, as there are often major differences between the lab and the Projects that people actually produce.
I realize that there is a major price-point difference between PrE and PS, PrPro, AfterEffects, etc., but the install-base, or potential install-base is much greater for PrE. For Adobe, the unit profit is potentially smaller, but the volume is much, much greater.
I support your contention that Adobe needs to be here. If they show up, I would strongly urge the forum to be respectful of their time, as they are probably doing this out of the goodness of their heart - though Adobe COULD add a little something to their paycheck. If someone does show up, I'd hope that the subscribers would ask only technical questions and keep any personal feelings about Adobe products to themselves. There should also be respect for the material that this representative could not share for various reasons.
Going back some years, we were blessed by the presence of an Adobe employee, Wil Renczes, in the PrPro forum. Some people spent a great deal of time yelling at Wil for things that Adobe had done, or not done. Hours of typing went into telling him how much better Avid, or FCP were, compared to Adobe. They demanded to know what the next version would hold. One day, Wil didn't come around anymore. The forum had lost a most valuable asset. My guess was that it just ceased to be fun for Wil anymore and he chucked the whole idea. I hope that the same does not happen with our Adobe representative, Dennis, this time around.
Just some observations,
Hunt

My new Premiere Elements program has been working great since purchased about 1 week ago. Suddenly, the progrom will not run.
It opens for about 1 minute or less and suddenly shuts down for no apparent reasaon.
The same sequence repeats each time I reopen the program.

  • Premiere Element keep crashing in vista

is there a way to avoid Premiere element keep crashing on Vista Home edition?
My project has about 700 video clips and I am adding about 150 clips in the timeline and adding some transitions. I don't think I am doing some crazy editiing. However, it just keep crashing and close the application. does anyone know how to avoid it or any work around?
Right now i have to save my project every 5 minutes to save my work, this is like going back to 70's.

And make sure you have Vista SP1 and at least 2 gigs of RAM and that you've optimized the operating system so that you're not wasting resources.

But Paul's definitely right. Particularly if you are editing other than video from a miniDV camcorder, your project is excessively large. The FAQs at the top of our forum tell you how to work on a large project in small parts.

I downloaded Adobe premiere Elements 9 because computer crashed.  Don't have serial number anymore.  How do I obtain it?

    tamod
What computer operating system is involved? I will assume Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 64 bit for now.
If your Premiere Elements 9 was registered when first installed, the serial number for it may be at Adobe.
Please go to the Adobe web site http://www.adobe.com, sign in with your Adobe ID and Password, in the Search field type My Products.
Then follow the My Products link to your products. In the Your Products list find Adobe Premiere Elements 9 and click on it to reveal the serial number.
After Premiere Elements 9 is installed, remember to download and install the 9.0.1 Update from
Adobe - Premiere Elements : For Windows : Premiere Elements 9.0.1 update
I have assumed that your program is on a Windows computer.
We will be watching for your progress.

  • Premiere elements keep crashing with rendering and mid editing!

    Hey
I have used adobe premiere elements 10 for a little over a month now. But recently pre began to crash then I was rendering a video!
I began searching on "Adobe premiere elements 10 rendering crash", but didn't find a answer. But, I notices that some people had the problem with render crash when the process bar reached 27%, I tried rendering two times in a row, and notices that my rendering where crashing at 31%!
I have really no clue what the problem could be!
    4g ram
    3,20ghz cpu intel
    64bit

Also see this article on PrE crashing, or hanging: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/792580?tstart=0
It starts with a checklist for PrE, then goes into detail on tuning up one's system and OS, and then goes into troubleshooting problems, with links to other articles, and also tools to help troubleshoot the problem(s). The first part is pretty easy, and then things pick up in "degree of difficulty," as you progress, ending with The Case of the Unexplained.

  • Adobe Premiere Elements 0.9 project crash, HELP!

This is the first time I am using these forums, so I hope I posted this in the right sektions.
I need help and solutions for a Project which constantly crashes on my Adobe Premiere Elements 0.9. This program has been awesome and helped me create some projects and videos successfully, up until.... well for about 3 days ago when my latest project crashed when I had just antered and checking the storyboard etc, triggering a "Serious Error" message and then it shuts down. I try again and again, but everytime I try to put something (any sound or video etc) on the storyboard and start working etc the same damn "Serious Error" message and then allways shuts down. It's allways this same and only project (which has worked fine before) that crashes like this...
In an attempt to first solve the problem myself I went through the Premiere Elements 9 files and deleted finnished projects and automatic saved process on projects etc, but still won't work even better... The funny thing is that when I open another project (a finnished project I left saved just in case) and go through the storyboard there and messes around a little and such, it won't crash nor trigger the same message as my latest project. And that program even has some effects on every footageclip on it too, but still it works fine. Haven't touched the program or the program until and since yesterday night to give it some rest but it still won't work, the project just keeps crashing like when and since it first started a few days ago.
I have also read through and tried some things from this Help/Troubleshoot page:
    http://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-elements/kb/troubleshoot-damaged-projects-premiere-element s.html
I have so far been doing 1 and 2 of the "Beginning Troubleshooting", otherwise I have been reading it all and such. I am also kinda afraid to do the 3 of the first quests because I worked so hard on this project and even tough it just keeps crushing, I'm afraid to lose it. Other, I have deleted audios and such from my filegallery on my Adobe Premiere Eements, stuff I don't need anymore because its projects are already done. After I did that I also tried to create a new project just for testing. The amazing this about this is that this the new created project I created works just fine, I could do all kinds of the stuff, effects and advanced editing which I did on the same project before it started crushing. Tough I didn't save that test-project since I didn't find a reason to since it worked so good. And so the thing is that I can start and create a new project and start working and do usual stuff on it with no problem, same when I open up another project and do stuff, it all works just fine! It is just this one and only project that keeps crushing with this "Serious Error" message, all the time... Does anybody else have, or has had the same problem? What could the problem and error be and how to fix it?
This crushing project do has some effects on every footageclip/videoclip on it, to set the right mood for the musicvideo I'm making. I am making a musicvideo, and I haven't even done the half of the project/video. The song I am making this musicvideo with is about 00:07:32 in length, and (tough this detail may have no influence or meaning) the music is Symphonic Metal. The actual file of the song is 6,96 MB in size. This is also not the first time I've done such projects with such long songs on this same program either, one of my last videos I managed to successfully make and create a musicvideo with a song which was about 13 minutes and 30 seconds in length, and I also used effects on pretty much every videoclip on that project too.
The current filesize so far on the actual project.prel-file of my project that keeps crushing is 9.73 MB.
I am also using Adobe Premiere Elements and doing this troubleing, crashing project on a PC, a Fujitsu Windows (I believe Windows 7, or even updated to a newer version?). It has a regular ATI-card. The computer also has 2 modems and there's still some pretty GB amount free on them. The PC's main system also has a RAM in 6.00 GB and the operative system is the 64-bites.
In short, the PC should just fine be able to handle Adobe Premiere Elements 0.9 and all its projects, just as it has handled it all before plus all my PC games at that. So it must be something with my Adobe Premiere Elements and that specific project which is the problem, but what is the problem and the serious error and how to fix it?
Could it help to save and create the actual video in this crashing project, delete that project then start a new project, upload and put in the videofile of the crashing project in that new project and then continue from there?
In either cases, I need help with this. Please, help!

Thanks so much for your reply, Steve!
Even tough I trust you guys enough here on the official Adobe site/forums to answer those questions as best I can, I am at the same time not very fond of giving away too much information because of safety. I understand I have to If I'm to recieve the accurate answers and solution, but as this is the internet you can never know. But again, I trust you guys enough on here and thus I'll try to answer those questions as best I can, even tough I am not very good with such stuff about computers. The PC I am using is also not only mine, it is the family computer also which me and my whole family uses.
The operating system on my computer (according to the computer propotions etc) is a 64-bites operating system and the computer/PC is also a Windows 7 Home Premium.
The processor the computer/PC have is a Intel(R) Core(TM) i5 CPU and the RAM is 6.00 GB. However, (and I hope I make this understandable because the computer/PC is in swedish)the subscore of RAM in the computer's Performance-Classification/Ranking is 7,5. The processor subscore is 7,3 per second. And the free space? Well, we have two modems, let's say a modem A and a modem B. Adobe Premiere Elements 0.9 is set to save all its stuff etc on modem B, while modem A is the main modem and spaces all main stuff and other things of the computer/PC. Modem A has about 314 GB of free space, while modem B has 207 GB of free space. Modem A's capacity is a total of 489 GB in which 175 GB has been used, the modems filesystem is a NTFS. Modem B is also a NTFS filesystem and its capacity is a total of 439 GB in which 232 GB has been used. And the Disk Cleanup? I believe my that latest ran it for about a few weeks ago. We also have a CCleaner also. But about the Disk Defragmenter, I have no idea. What exactly does a Disk Defragmenter do?
You mean, entering my project that keeps crushing and simply rename it by using "Save As"? If that is what you mean, I dunnow If that actually worked. When I still tried to do stuff and edit the crashing project (tough as said, it hardly took any changes and process before it triggered that message) and then crashed and shut down, and I opened up the program again (trying to open the same project that way), it asked me If I wanted to re-create the missing process from the last crash of the same project. I tried it and it automaticly was renamed to a for example Project.copy. But when I tried to work with that it was to no futher success, the project kept crashing. I haven't renamed the project by "Save As" tough, but I doubt it'll work, I even tried to rename the actual project file in the Adobe Premiere Elements files but nope... the project keeps crashing. But also about the same question, "Save As" under a new name but in its own folder? You mean the actual project folder or Adobe Premiere Elements preview folder of the projects?
My camcorder is pretty old by now, have had it since I turned 15, it has worked pretty good since then. Its model is a Sony Handycam, Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar OPTICAL 20x. Even tough the last thing maybe doesn't say anything, this is all I know about my camcorder, except that it is a model no. DCR-HC17E PAL. But in that Project  which keeps crashing, there are only a few actual camcorder clips used as I am making a Game-MusicVideo and most of the footage of the Video-game (actually a PC game) I'm making a musicvideo of is downloaded from Youtube mostly from a guy I asked permission for to download his recorded footage of the game. I used a Youtube downloader called ClipConverter. As I don't have a SD card I cannot make this footage myself. But some footage I recorded on my camcorder, but If I can find high quality clips and get them, I will. The other footages is actual official trailers of the PC games which also was downloaded from the net. But I can give you the stuffs filetypes and hoping that may help. The downloaded footage which was downloaded by this ClipConverter, are MP4 files. The other stuff (which were official trailers) and most of them are also MP4 files, the others are QuickTime-film files. Many of these downloaded footages and trailers are also in HD quality, at least some of them I think.
The actual filetype ofthe footage I myself recorded with my camcorder are, well.... it says Videoclip in the file. Maybe it is AVI?
The project settings? You mean the settings you set at first when starting as a new project? The general settings are, in editingsettings it is AVCHD 270p square pixel. This is kinda hard for me to tell since everything is in swedish in my program. But these settings has worked perfectly before, same with all files, footages and videoclips I have been using, also all the soundfiles etc. Even the actual crashing project worked perfectly before it started crashing... So why does it so suddenly start crashing now?
The audio is a song I copied directly from its album and CD into the computer/PC and it seems to be in WMA format in filetype.
And lastly, no I haven't rendered the timeline of the project ever, not even on my other projects. What does the rendering do and is useful for? I have very little knowledge of it. Other, I keep the Timeline mode open all the time because I can edit my videos much better with it, but perhaps that editing method make little influence of the actual problem.
Other, yesterday when writing the post and topic, I forgot to mention that I restarded my computer right after I created a new project, that testing project. When finnished with the testing I restarted the computer. Since then I haven't touched the crashing project since now tonight, when checking its settings for this post. I am also right now trying to create and save the actual videofile of it, saving it on my computer. I'll soon see If it's successful without any crashing interruptions, plus that the video itself works and is smooth when I'll play it on Windows Media Player like all the rest of my other videos. I do this just in case I must create a new project to be able to continue with my musicvideo, as the first part of it I worked very hard on.
Other and again, I am still puzzled about why this is even happening, that this project which worked perfectly fine before, just suddenly starts triggering that "Serious Error" message and crashes. And in this program which worked so perfect before. Has this happened to anyone else before? Has anyone else experienced the same issue I have? Is this a knowledgable issue which has solutions and ways to fix it?... :/

  • Premiere Elements 9 for Mac Crashing Constantly

Hi, I recently installed Adobe Premiere Elements 9 on a brand new Imac with 4gb memory and a 1333 MhZ DDR3 processor.  And the program literally crashes about every 30 seconds.  I get maybe three tasks accomplished before it hangs, spins the ball and crashes completely.  I can't find any consistent set of behaviors that causes this to occur bit I find it absurd given the newness of the computer and the software.  Is 4gb RAM just too little to run this thing or is it just buggy.  Thanks for any help, it's endlessly frustrating to have to save after literally every change I make before having to reboot the software yet again after it crashes.
    Thanks.

As I said, you will need to start a project and manually set it to the correct project settings.
I can't say what those settings are because your cam shoots in four different video formats.
Ideally you should only be shooting in FXP mode and then selecting the project settings for Full AVCHD 1920x1080 Stereo. (Make sure you're also correctly designating whether this is PAL or NTSC footage.)
If you are shooting in something other than FXP mode -- particularly if you are shooting in a mode that uses other than 1920x1080 video -- the program may be misreading the AVC metadata and setting up your project improperly.
Also note what I said about red lines on the timeline appearing above your clips. Setting up your program properly is VITAL to a successful editing experience. This is especially true the first few times you use the program because the program activates certain components based on your project setup.
Part 1 of my free 8-part Basic Training series for Premiere Elements support site Muvipix.com will show you how to set up a project properly.

  • Premiere Elements 11 video editor crashing

    Hello!
We just bought Premiere Elements 11 to make short (less than 5 min) videos for work. The program is frequently crashing while editing (happening on both computers, so I'm thinking it's either how it's been installed or the company firewall maybe). Sometimes we get a good run, but usually it crashes within 20 minutes of starting and then the crashes get more frequent (within a minute of restarting the program).
Any thoughts? It's making for a painstaking and incredibly frustrating experience for me and my colleague. We're on a government server. Plenty of RAM, Windows XP.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. The program isn't standard so it's not officially supported by the IT department, but we do have one super helpful person trying to figure it out, but with no expertise in the program.
    Thanks in advance!
    Christine

    Some pointers that could help...
I have seen Adobe apps work in my office network, and have also seen them not work. PrE does work IF all the folders it accesses have full access permissions. My understanding is that these are the folders it needs FULL access to:
    1. My Documents - This should not be in a network. This should be in your local machine and you (the user who is signed in) should have full read-write access to it.
    2. Scratchdisk - This is the complete set of folders mentioned in the Edit -> Preferences -> ScratchDisk section
    3. User data folder. - This is the set of folders that show up when you do a Start -> Run; type in "%appdata%\Adobe" (without quotes, of course) and hit Enter.
    4. ProgramData - This, I figured out by an official response in a related product forum (PsE) some years back, is where you go to when you Type in "%allusersprofile%\Adobe"
I also should have posted my problems in the forum 2 years back, but didn't. But have now have ended up learning this the hard way. There could be other folders as well that I may have missed that the forum veterans can point you to, but these are definitely mandatory. Take the access off of one of these folders and you will start seeing inexplicable behavior.
If these folders are not on network and they have full read-write access, we can safely rule out permissions as a reason for crashes. I am saying all this only because if permissions are a reason, there are no error messages given in the app or even a hint that THAT is the reason. And you being a corporate user, there can be desktop and network rules that IT may have enforced. They mandate ""monitoring" and "discipline". I think they call these "policies" (so you can speak in their language the next time ). You can also check if there is any antivirus or any other software running that blocks access to. or starts analyzing, files as soon as they are created, thereby locking them for use by the very app that created them.
Oh! RAM size does not matter if it is more than 3 GB because the OS will use only so much being 32-bit, which WinXP is mostly.
That said, the answers to questions in the previous post could lead us an entirely different path.
    Happy figuring-out!

  • Premiere Elements 8 Grey Screen/Crash

When I attempt to open a saved or new project I get a blank grey screen.  I've been using this program for years and only recently (a few months ago) this has happened.  Also, when I attempt to open organizer it crashes.  I've uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times with no luck.  I'm using an HP Pavilion Slimline w/Windows Vista Home Premium OEMAct.  I've updated my latest NVIDIA driver and do not have MacFee security.  I'm not much of a tech guy so I'd be greatful for any help.  Any other suggestions?

    1. Preview Files. Are you on Vista 32 or 64 bit? In my Windows 7 64 bit, I would go to Libraries/Documents/Adobe/Premiere Elements/8.0 and, in the 8.0 Folder, empty out the Adobe Premiere Elements Preview Files Folder. Do you find such a folder on you computer hard drive?  I am in 64 bit.  I was able to find those files and clean them out.  They were pretty much empty since I recently re-installed the program.
    2. Conformed Audio Files. Here I would go to Libraries/Documents/Adobe/Premiere Elements/8.0 and, in the 8.0 Folder, empty out the Media Cache Files Folder. Do you find such a folder on your computer hard drive? The only two folders in the 8.0 folder is "Preview Files" (now empty) and "Encoded Files" (empty as well)
    3. Conformed Video Files. Here I would go to Local Disk C\Users\Owner\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Common\Media Cache and clean out the Media Cache Folder. - Found these files and cleaned out a significant amount of files.
After that we will be going after the Premiere Elements 8.0/8.0.1 settings file
    Local Disk C

and in the 8.0 Folder is the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file that we delete. If that does not work, then we delete the whole 8.0 Folder in which the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file exists. Be sure to be working with Folder Option Show Hidden Files, Folders, and Drives active so that you can see the complete path. - Found file and deleted both the Prefs and then went back and deleted the entire 8.0 folder.  I started up the program and the same issue occured.  I went back through these instructions and the 8.0 folder and Pref file had reappeared - not sure if that is supposed to happen?

What computer antivirus program do you use? Please remind me if you have disabled the antivirus and if doing that has any affect on the problem.

    that, too?
Just ignore that message and cancel out of it and any other messages encouraging you to Sign In. The photoshop.com feature has been discontinued but those detouring messages persist. We can talk about video and pdf tutorials once you get the program to open properly and it is prepared for work.
    You wrote
Have media stored on file in desktop.  Cannot open anything in Premiere to
    "save to Premiere."
That should be temporary until we get the program to work. Keeping the media there instead an external hard drive keeps external hard drive out of the troubleshooting equation. You will import your source media with the project's Get Media/Files and Folders and drag it to the Timeline. The media that are in the project are just copies of the originals that need to trace back to the originals on the hard drive.

If so, then as John has suggested, go to the web site of the manufacturer of your card and check there to determine if you have the lastest version of the driver. If you do, then we delete the BadDrivers.txt file.

and in the 9.0 Folder is the BadDrivers.txt file that you delete. After you do that and open a project, the program will generated a new BadDrivers.txt file and hopefully the program will be gone. Make sure that you are working with Folder Option Show Hidden Files, Folders, and Drives active so you can see the path.
If we are left with the same problem after all that
First. Delete the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file.

and in the 9.0 Folder is the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file that you delete. If that does not work, then you delete the whole 9.0 Folder in which the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file exists.
If that does not work, then next go for
Deactivation (which is not possible if you cannot open a project) ...  so bypass that step
Uninstall, the usual Control Panel/Installed Programs route
ccleaner (regular cleaner and registry cleaner parts) to get rid of leftovers from incomplete uninstalls and/or installs.
    http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner
Reinstall with anti-virus and firewalls turned off.
After the program is installed, then install the 9.0.1 Update.
If none of the above works, then try installing and opening Premiere Elements 9.0/9.0.1 from a new User Account with Administrative Privileges.
Please review and try in the order mentioned. We will be watching for your results. If you need any clarification before you begin, please let us know.

  • Installed Photoshop CS5 - Premiere Elements and Organiser now Crashes

    Hi
I've just installed Photoshop CS5 on my computer which alreadys had Premeire Elements 9 on.
Initially when I tried to launch Photoshop I got a crash to do with the scriptingsupport.8li which was resolved by disabling the plugin, however now when I try to launch Premiere Elements or the Elements Organiser, I get a windows error box.
Premiere Elements 9 is crashing due to a problem with WS.dll. I've tried restoring the dll from the original cab folder and checking for updates and installing the latest ones but still the problem persists.
Any ideas on how I can solve it?
    Thanks

I'm definitely going to look into it. Thanks. Have a great holiday.

Dell Precisions are great machines, you could look into their Studio or Studio XPS too. Not quite workstation qualtiy but I'm beating the snot outta one @home and it's holding up well for a 600 buck eBay chassis...

  • How can I reinstall Adobe Premiere Elements 12 after computer crash without my old keys?

I need to re-install Elements 12, but I can't find my product key.

    My World
You should have two choices for obtaining working installation files....
    1. If you purchased the installation files from Adobe....go to the Adobe web site, sign in with your Adobe ID and Password, go to the Search field at the top right of that web page and type in My Orders. Then follow the My Orders to your orders and select the order involved. There should be a place there to download new installation files.
    2. You can go to the following web site and download and install Premiere Elements 12 tryout. During the installation of those files, you insert your purchased serial number to make this your working copy of the program.
    http://prodesigntools.com/photoshop-elements-12-direct-download-links-premiere.html
The important matter with this route is read and carry out carefully the web site's "Note: Very Important Instructions" and the "here" button in the instructions so that you do not get Access Denied.
Please let us know if any of the above works for you.
    Thanks.

  • CS6 and Premiere Elements keeps asking for activation

    Hi
I am a system engineer in a school. We have a K12 Site license for CS6 and we purchased about 30 single license versions of Premier Elements through certified resellers. I deployed CS6 a few years ago on our old PC's by installing the software on one computer and then cloning the pc 30 times with CloneZilla. That worked fine.
A year later i repeated the procedure on 25 other computers. No problem there.
Last summer i did the same to replace the 30 pc's i had cloned the first time. Since then i have to activate CS6 over and over again indicating a trial version. Also the other classroom with 25 pc' began to ask for activation after 2 years with no worries.
In oktober i Installed Premiere Elements on each individual computer one by one. And that went well for a few months but then all of a sudden PE began to prompt for activation. My collegues drive me crazy with their remarks and worries.
So far i tried to activate CS6 by creating a serialization file with the adobe application manager. When i run the file and retry the program i am no longer prompted for an activation... for a while.
There is no way to tell which device will prompt of when. It is random. Sometimes it is just one device, then all of a sudden it are 3-4.
    Please help
    Maarten

    Hi Maarten,
Adobe Premiere elements 12 (individual license) requires sign in /activation if you have installed individually however you can suppress the sign window using Adobe provisioning toolkit
In case you have Adobe volume license for PRE 12. Please visit the link below to find the workflow.
Deploy Premiere Elements 11 and earlier | Windows
    Thanks,
    Ashish

  • Premiere Elements 12 Closing Without Warning

I have just loaded PE12 using Windows XP but soon after opening the program and opening a video file to work on the program just closes without warning. I get no error message - just back to desktop screen.
Any suggestions / ideas will be gratefully received.
    Thankyou
    Neil

    Thanks for the update.
This is not Adobe. Rather user to user. So, just my opinion on money back for 12
    a. If you purchased from Adobe direct and were within 30 days of purchase, you could contact Adobe via its Adobe Chat
    to request your money back.
    b. If you purchased from an authorized reseller of the product, then your return/refund would be govern by the return/refund
    policy of the seller.
Since 12 is not longer the current version, I suspect that you are well beyond the 30 days from date of purchase. The possibility
for money back does not look promising. But, you can still contact Adobe via its Chat Panel and confirm what I suspect or find
out that there is hope. If you want to try that, click on the following link
    Contact Customer Care
    Premiere Elements
    Membership, account, payment
    Payments, invoices, orders
    Chat Panel
If the link does not hold its set, then you will need to navigate to the Chat Panel using the titles above as guides.
If you want to continue with Premiere Elements 12/12.1 troubleshooting, I will go the extra miles to help you with that.
There were times when I thought that I would never get Photoshop Elements 12 to run and other times when I
though that I would never get signed in to Premiere Elements 12. But, I did. It was not easy, lots of troubleshooting paths,
some "inside the box", some "outside the box".
We will be watching for further developments when you get the chance.
