Premiere Elements 9.0 gets mixed up
I have been using PE9.0 for about a month. When I first installed it things seemed to go OK but after several editing sessions of a particular project, I started seeing the same iamge for every picture in the project. In the timeline PE9 shows the right file name but shows the wrong image. When I share the project, same thing - every or many of the pictures have the wrong image. This stared happening to me on every project. I completely removed PE9 from the system and reinstalled it and the same thing happened.
My projects are small to medium size (several short videos and 15-20 pictures). My computer is about as strong as your going to find for an ametuer. Intel i7 960 at 3.3 GHz with 12 GB RAM, 1TB HDD, Radion graphics card.....
Anybody having this issue?

When I am using Premiere Elements 13 I get a message that pops up "There is no disk in the drive" I click on it and it keeps coming back "very annoying", but about three months ago it happened to me and I was told to change the file name from OldFilm.AEX to OldFilm.AEXold. I would do another rename to disable or just delete all the OldFilm.AEX and OldFilm.AEXOLD in that NewBlue Folder.
If you do, please let me know if that OldFilm.AEX regenerates itself the next time you open Premiere Elements 13.
Here is the strange story...at least from my Premiere Elements 13 Windows perspective...never had the No Disc error issue
Here are some details to sort through trying to figure out why you have 2 OldFilm.AEX file in the NewBlue Folder.
1. The original OldFilm.AEX file of Premiere Elements 13 has the date of 9/4/2014 (just before the version was released on 9/24/2014).
After the 13.1 update is done (whenever date), that OldFilm.AEX file has the date of 1/31/2015. I first saw notification of the 13.1 Update
release early in February 2015.
2. Now in Premiere Elements 13.1, if I take my OldFilm.AEX (date 1/31/2015) and disable it by renaming it to OldFilm.AEXOLD, close out of there, and reopen
the program, the OldFilm.AEX is not seen to regenerate. The OldFilm.AEXOLD remains there as its lone self.
3. So, I am thinking that your OldFilm.AEXOLD in the screenshoot is "original equipment" that you disabled to get rid of No disc error.
Why the OldFilm.AEX is there also is not clear, but the dating on it suggests that it came along with the 13.1 Update.
Bottom line: let us try the deletion or disabling one more time and see what happens.

When I try to burn a DVD in Premiere Elements 12, I get an Internal software error %0, line %1. This is the first time that I have tried to use this program.

When downloading content in Premiere Elements 11, I get an error "no Internet Connection"
When I try to download content (themes, etc) in Premiere Elements 11, I get the message that there is no internet connection. I am connected via LAN and have no other issues connecting.
"Download failed. Either the server is currently unavailable, or your computer is disconnected from the Internet. Check your connection and try again."
I have tried on multiple occasions. I have changed my default browser. I have tried different content (themes, titles, etc) and I have tried to download all or only one item at a time.countrygal+73
SG has given you for details for Premiere Elements 12 when you have Premiere Elements 11.
In Premiere Elements 11 Expert workspace, go to Help Menu/Deactivate. If you see a viable "Deactivate" (which it looks like you have), your program should be activated. In Premiere Elements 12, Adobe has Help Menu/Sign Out as the equivalent of the version 11 Help Menu/Deactivate.
Typically the Content Download depends on Internet connection and Adobe Server. And, the process is for many of us slow. I would give the process another try at another time of the day.

Add On...If you have not done so already, please right click the desktop icon for your Premiere Elements 11 and select Run As Administrator even when you are running from a User Account with Administrative Privileges.
In my comments, I have assumed that you are running Premiere Elements 11 on Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 64 bit. Is that the case? -
When I try to run Premiere Elements 12 I get the error ..\..\Src\Core\Preferences.cpp-347, I've uninstalled and reinstalled as an admin, tried running as an administrator, and every single time I open the program I click on video editor and then new project, I get the black and purple candy cane loading bar, shortly (sometimes instantly) after I get the error message.

Please avoid duplicate posts since they tend to confuse the person writing them as well as the people trying to respond to the question.
I have seen the error that you present appear often, but I have not seen an agreed on the resolution, if a resolution at all.
What I would do first is to update your Premiere Elements 12 to 12.1. See the opened project's Help Menu/Updates. If the problem persists after the update to 12.1, then let us look at the Scratch Disk set up and situation.
When you go to Expert workspace, Edit Menu/Preferences/Scratch Disks, where are all the categories directed to on the computer hard drive and how much free space is at the location(s)?
Did you install Premiere Elements 12 to its default location or other. If other, where?
There are a lot of Troubleshooting avenues to go down (some old, some new, some questionable), but let us start with the above and then decide what next.
But before all that, please respond to the questions already asked you by SG.

I bought the Mac version of Premiere Elements, can I get the Windows version for free or cheap with my serial number? I'm about to migrate back to PC soon and I'd love to not have to buy the program again since I just bought it. Under my order history though it only shows it for Mac so I wanted to make sure.

The boxed packaging is not sold by Adobe direct. If you want to explore that type of purchase which offers the perk of a Windows and a Mac installation disc, you need to purchase from an authorized reseller who is not going to offer you "upgraded pricing". The seller would be its own entity with its own pricing and own return/refund policy. Sometimes the authorized reseller price may be less than the Adobe"upgraded pricing".
Did you purchase your Premiere Elements 13 Mac from Adobe direct and are within 30 days of purchase? If so, you can contact Adobe Chat Orders to ask for return/refund. And, then you can explore the authorized resellers for pricing and availability of the box packaging. Maybe check out the pricing all around before making any final decisions.

I have bought the DVD bundle of Adobe Premiere Elements and Photoshop. They both come on a single DVD. When I attemp to install Premiere I get the error message... "This installation package is not supported by this processor type. Contact your product vendor".
My laptop is an Acer Aspire 5536, AMD Athlon, 64 x 2 dual-core, 2.1 GHz. I bought it in 2009 and it runs with Vista.
Is my laptop too old or not powerfull enough? Or is there a problem with Vista? Please help.johnfallan61982
Your problem with the Premiere Elements 11 download blows the following question away, but I will ask it anyway.
If you purchased the bundled Photoshop Elements 10 Premiere Elements 10, how many discs did you receive. It should have been five. And, with Windows Vista 32 bit and Premiere Elements 10 in the equation, you should have been using the disc labelled 1 of 5. Was all of that the case?
What service pack do you have for your Windows Vista 32 bit? And, do you know if your laptop's processor has SSE2 support?

At face value, the H.264.mov file should import into your Premiere Elements 11. By the way, on what computer operating system is your Premiere Elements 11 running?
The key initial question is "Do you have the latest version of QuickTime installed on your computer along with Premiere Elements 11?" That is a must do.
As a double check, please go to Publish+Share/Computer/QuickTime and assure that you see presets included for that choice. If not, sure thing, QuickTime issue. Just a reminder if you have not been there before - you need to scroll down the list of Publish+Share/Computer/ choices to reach QuickTime toward the bottom of the list. See thin scroll bar to the right of the list.

Kindly try the steps mentioned below.
1) Download the Adobe Reader.msi from ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/11.x/11.0.00/en_US/
2) Run the .MSI for Reader and when you get the error click on Retry and installation would go trough.

Thanks for the follow up. Sorry that the news was not better.
As for project settings (project preset)....that should be set to match the properties of the media that you import. Only one project preset per project, so, if you have more than one format, you need to set priorities for the project, and then work everything else around that prime choice. But, for now, assuming all the project content have the same format.
The program is set up to have the project select the project preset based on its analysis of the properties of the first source you drag to the Timeline. If it cannot do that for some reason, it does not give you the closest project preset for what you need, instead it gives you its default NTSC/AVCHD/Full HD 1080i30 or its PAL counterpart if you are working in a PAL setup. You can always check to see what the project set. See Edit Menu/Project Settings/General and the readings for Editing Mode, Timebase, Frame Size, and Pixel Aspect Ratio (even if they look grayed out). You can view project settings there, but you cannot make significant changes in what has been set. So, you start a new project if the settings are not right.
The manual way for you to set the project preset....
File Menu/New/Project and Change Settings
In Change Settings, change the project preset to match the properties of your source file. OK out of there.
In the New Project dialog that you see next, change the name of the project, and make sure to have a check mark next to Force Selected Project Settings On This Project. OK out of there.
Back in the Expert workspace, import your source media using the project's Add Media/Files and Folders.
If you setup according to my suggestions in post 3 and are still have previewing issues, then I think we should look deeper into the video card/graphics card. See Device Manager/Display Adapters to verify what your computer is using. And, then go to the web site of the manufacturer of that card to determine if you have the latest driver for that card.
