Premiere Elements 9 Preset & Plugin Issues

Hey Forum!
I've recently upgraded from Pre 7 to Pre 9. All of my effect presets and third party plugins did not transfer over
from Pre 7 to Pre 9. I've copied my 3rd party plugin folder to Pre 9, and the plugins load, but they are no where
to be found on the FX screen. What am I doing wrong?
Also, I had about 10 user presets that I created in Pre 7, and would like to use them with Pre 9. I've tried copying
the VBR file (I saw this suggestion in another post), but that didn't work either.
If anyone could help me out, that would be great. I appreciate all of your time, efforts, and support. I normally can
figure this stuff out on my own, but I'm at my wits end. Thanks again!
MichaelWarbux

Just a guess here, but many 3rd party Effects need an installation routine to function, though some can just be copied over to the appropriate directory. Which 3rd party Effects are you referring to here?
As for Project Presets (assume that is what you are talking about here), I believe that there are some differences between the Project Presets in PrE 7 vs PrE 9. Others can probably confirm, or deny that.
Good luck,
Hunt

  • Premiere Elements 4.0 burn issue

Premiere Elements 4.0 with Windows XP (both pre-loaded on a Dell computer purchased new in 2007).  I am able to create *.prel files with no problem and I had been able to burn projects up to 5-hr length to DVD with no problem until recently.   Starting October 2013 I have frequently had difficulty burning to DVD; although I have successfully burned projects ranging from 45 minutes to 4.5 hours.  Current projects are about 3 hours.  I'd rather create two 4.5-hour projects rather than three 3-hr projects, but have not been able to get a successful burn of more than three hours lately.  No 3D effects or still shots, just video clips from the same camera, so all those clips are the same format.  There are one or two video files from a camera phone, but this file format had not prevented a successful burn in other projects.  There are titles, and transitions between some clips.  I get "media transcoding " error or "Elements has encountered a problem and needs to shut down" error.  I have tried to save to folder, and export to avi or to mp3 file.  These work arounds have never been successful for me.  Is there some known, fairly recent (i.e. circa October 2013), Windows issue that interferes with Premiere Elements?  It has been very difficult to debug these issues, since I always have to wait to kick off a new burn overnight, and only find out in the morning if it was successful.

    Lots of questions....
    1. Your mention of burn to folder failures seems to take the focus off your burner or disc at the core of your issue and focus it on the Timeline content and other Premiere Elements workflow related factors.
Premiere Elements 4 on any computer is a 32 bit application with all the resource limitations of 32 bit. So, I wonder about these large projects as well as burn to in that situation. Are you doing SD or HD projects? What are the properties of the video that you have on these Timelines?
Have you looked for pile ups of preview files, conformed audio, and conformed video?
What is the menu marker situation? Are Timeline menu markers in these projects? If so, have you checked the spacing between them? Are you using stop markers? If so, do you have one placed at the end of the last item on the Timeline?
Have you expanded the Timeline with the -+ slider to inspect the tracks for leftovers presenting as very thin vertical black lines scattered about? And, also looked for other irregularities, such as graps in audio or other, transitions placement, etc.?
If it were not for your burn to folder results, I would suggest looking at additionally
another batch of disc - what brand/type being used
burn to folder - taking the VIDEO_TS from the saved folder to DVD-VIDEO on DVD disc with ImgBurn
getting a new burner - maybe on the old, looking for firmware and/or driver updates
But none of them seems indicated by the problem description that you offer. And, any involvement of a NVIDIA video card in this equation does not seem indicated since the recent NVIDIA video card Premiere Elements display issue referred to has been specific since the start to Premiere Elements 10 users with NVIDIA video cards. There the fix for these users has been rolling back the video card driver version rather than assuring that they had the latest version of the video card driver.

  • Premiere Elements 11 AVI Audio Issue

    Hey there,
I'm fairly new to this software and am playing around in it to get a feel so bear with me if I'm completely overlooking the source of my problem.
When I import my video to the editor, about an 8 minute .avi clip, the video plays at regular speed but the audio sounds like it's slowed immensly. (A low growl, can't tell if it's only bass or the audio slowed to 400% about.) I've tried speeding up the clip (audio included) and it just becomes a faster version of the slow growl audio. The original video plays fine in the clip organizer and in windows media. I've tried saving, rendering, etc. but it doesn't help. Non .avi clips seem to work fine, it's just the one's from my screen recorder (which may be the issue) that 'brake.' I hope someone understands what my problem is, any misunderstandings, feel free to ask.
    Thanks for your time, cheers.

  • Premiere Elements 9 "white screen" issue

    Hello All,
I recently bought a Canon HFR100 and am new to video editing, and decided to give the PRE9 Trial version a spin..
My issue is, after installing the trial, and messing around for a few days, all of a sudden I get a white screen for a preview, instead of the viewer with the watermark in my editor. if I double click a video file, ANY video file, no matter what video type I chose for my project file, I get this white screen. The audio is playing fine, but no video, just the white screen. (see image for the white area)
I've searched the forum for an answer, tried possible solutions (unistall - reinstall quicktime & Flash, added codecs, reinstalled the trial version. etc)...I just dont get it. Nothing else had changed, to my knowledge.
It's also a new home built machine: Intel i5, 4gb ram, Vista32, EGVA GTS450 Display card....no other problems...
Any help or thoughts would be greatly appreciated. I'm looking for good software to edit my son's hockey games, and I was looking at purchasing the full version, but I'm concerned it I do, I'll have the same problem (if it's a corrupt file, somewhere).
    Thanks!

I am having the same issue -- white screen with all video files, can hear audio but can't see any video when previewing thumbnails or rendering previews or video --
    I have a different configuration:
    Dell Precision M6300
    graphics card: NVIDIA Quadro FX3600M
    OS: Windows XP
    Intel Cor 2 Duo CPU
    T9300 @ 2.5Ghz
2.47 Gh, 3.50 GB of RAM
    I've updated the driver...
    Quicktime...
    Disabled my anti-virus...
I've been messing with this since I installed the trial a week ago but still have not been able to get Premiere Elements to work and try.  Any suggestions?

  • Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 and Premiere Elements 12 Serial Number Issue

I downloaded Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 and Premiere Elements 12 (after checking the system requirements) but the serial numbers Adobe gave me are for that software but for version 13 which will not work on the iMac OS I have (Needs 10.8 and above).  I need to get the correct serial numbers but Adobe chat says it isn't possible and have to use 13. Am I stuck with Version 13?

I would look for some means of contacting someone relative to the Education Exchange.  I have no familiarity with it myself so I can't direct you anywhere, but maybe they have their own contact links or forum for discussion.
Do you have some problem with using version 13 or is it just that you acquired the files thru interface you show?  If you have serial numners for 13 and your machine can handle it, go for getting it...
    PSE 13 Trial - http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=photoshop_elements
    PE 13 Trial - http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=premiere_elements
The serial numbers will (should) convert the trials to full use.

  • Premiere elements 10 bad resoulotion issue.

I have a project for school and am using premiere elements ten to edit, which I need to do since it is my personal favourite for school media projects. And i habe downloaded youtube videos with video downloader from firefox. And when i play them they are good quality on any program except when I am editing on premeire. Any help would be amazing. Thanks.

Downloaded video from YouTube does not make the best source material for Premiere Elements. This is because it has been transcoded and compressed once by the person who posted it to the site, then transcoded and compressed again by YouTube then transcoded and compressed AGAIN by the software you used to download it. Also, a lot depends on the quality and resolution of the footage posted to YouTube and the quality and format of the video your software used to download it. (There are dozens of programs that download video from YouTube and vary wildly in quality.)
You also need to consider how compatible the video format is you downloaded and which settings you used in Premiere Elements when you set up your project.
In short, there are a lot of variables here -- but the short answer is that you're just not going to get good, editable video from YouTube. And even if you do get acceptable footage, it's pretty much impossible for it to be as good as first generation video directly from a camcorder.

  • PREMIERE ELEMENTS 10 PRESET FOR JPEG 720P 30 FPS VIDEO

I have a Panasonic Lumic DMC FZ35 camera which can take videos in jpeg hd (720p) 30 fps.  What would be the appropriate preset?

There is no perfect setting for that video. It's not the best stuff for editing. (The camcorder is pretty made for shooting and then uploading to YouTube.)
But your best bet is probably the DSLR/720p 30 setting.
Although remember to render (press Enter) whenever you see red lines above the clips on your timeline!

  • Premiere elements 7 and project presets

    Hi,
I have a question regarding quality of edited video and project presets. I use a Panasonic HDS-9 AVCHD camcorder which is set to record at the XA 1920 x 1080 full HD mode. Once the mt2 files are in Premiere I have tried two of the project presets. Full HD 1920 x 1080 5.1 Channel (PAL) and HD 1440 x 1080 5.1 Channel (PAL). I have burnt to folder and then used DVD shrink (no compression settings used) to package it into an iso file so I can use the file with menus on my Freecom media player which attaches to my Panasonic HD ready TV using component jacks. What I have found is that the HD 1440 x 1080 preset appears to produce very slightly better quality. I was not able to explain what the exact difference was until my 7 year old son described the difference as being 'one of them looks more shiny'. What I think is happening is that anything that has movement, however slight, is creating very marginal screen smear which makes that part of the screen seem less clear. It is not bad and had I not tried the 1440 setting I would probably have accepted it. The trouble is I am fussy, and now that I have seen the difference I need to find out what other problems I may run into if I use the lower preset as the information in Premiere seems to suggests that I should be using the Full HD preset if the footage was shot in full HD. Anybody have any thoughts on this or experienced this?
    Thanks
    Lou

"What I have found is that the HD 1440 x 1080 preset appears to produce very slightly better quality" is what you say.
I have sought out your camcorder and checked its specifications and found:
From what I have read and what you have said, it sounds like your Panasonic HDC-HS9 is recording AVCHD (video MPEG-4 AVC/H.264; audio Dolby Digital 5.1 channel sound) 1920 x 1080i50 (if you have a PAL version of the camcorder = 25 frames per second or 50 fields per second). At this point, I am not sure if you are recording to the camcorder’s hard drive or to a memory card.
So, I find it appropriate that you select your Premiere Elements project preset (New Project dialog) = PAL AVCHD Full HD1080i25 5.1 channel sound. Typically it is suggested that the project preset be as close as possible to the properties of the imported video to give you the appropriate frame work for editing. This does not prohibit you from making other export choices and downsizing as in this case. Although how well Premiere Elements 7 can downsize is another question. And, I suspect that your imported video has Fields = upper fields first.
If you tell me that you are burning to folder, that means to me that you are creating DVD-VIDEO files (presumed PAL 720 x 576 25 frames per second, with 16:9). And these DVD-VIDEO files would have Fields = lower fields first. And you are going from 1920 x 1080 with square pixels to 720 x 576 with a 16:9 flag. I am thinking Fields issue or 16:9 flag issue. But, then the question comes up, why not for both choices of project preset.
    Here comes my questions.
    1. How repeatable and consistant is this slight difference that you are seeing and relating to the project preset (New Project dialog)?
    2. Are you taking the same video, doing the same edits for the comparison of the project presets of PAL AVCHD Full HD1080i25 5.1 channel and PAL AVCHD HD1080i25 5.1 channel?
    3. I may be overlooking something tonight, but I cannot invoke a scenario to target the project presets unless you are doing something grossly different in the edits or using different videos in the comparison.
Since there is a lot going on after the DVD video files are generated, is there any chance you could do a mini comparison creating menus and burning to DVD in Premiere Elements 7 and determine if this difference exists then?
I need to think on this some more to include some aspects that I did not include here now.

  • Premiere Elements 8 Initial Impressions

Premiere Elements 8 First Look: Part 1.
Photoshop Elements 8 and Premiere Elements 8 are now installed on my Windows XP SP3 with about available 1 GB RAM and 70 GB free hard drive space and the virtual memory controlled by the operating system…not great for a heavy duty project, but adequate to overview the programs.
    1. Download & Installation. Both programs took about 3 ½ hours to download, using high speed DSL. Premiere Elements 8 downloaded and installed without problems. Installation went much quicker. But, Photoshop Elements 8 download did present challenges, first, it kept downloading Premiere Elements 8 instead of Photoshop Elements 8. Finally in the early hours of the morning, the download from the Adobe site was named Photoshop Elements 8. Great, except, once downloaded it would not launch. The launcher did not know what to do with the .7z  file. Download and use of WinZip took care of that. My default browser Mozilla Firefox was worthless for the download of either Photoshop Elements 8 or Premiere Elements 8, but no problems with my Internet Explorer 6. I had this same problem with the Photoshop Elements 7/Premiere Elements 7 downloads last year.
    2. Premiere Elements 8
    a. Organizer. I would take exception to Steve Grisetti’s picture of the Organizer in “What’s new in Premiere Elements 8?”, but maybe I was overly optimistic by “The most visible change to version 8 is that the Organizer is no longer a sub-program of Premiere Elements and Photoshop Elements. It now lives as its own, separate, pretty much independent program – behaving more than ever like its professional big brother, Adobe Bridge.” He went on to say “In version 8, both programs have equal access to a single, full-featured Organizer.”
Here is my dilemma for some who want a separate video and photo catalog. If you had Photoshop Elements 7/Premiere Elements 7, you could create additional catalogs in Photoshop Elements 7. Premiere Elements 7 could use one of these catalogs, but could not create new catalogs. So then, you could have a photo catalog displaying in the Photoshop Elements 7 Organizer and a video catalog displaying when you opened Premiere Elements 7. You cannot do that anymore, and File Menu/Catalog is gone in Premiere Elements 8. You still cannot create catalogs in Premiere Elements 8, so, if you just have Premiere Elements 8, you have ONE catalog. If you have Photoshop Elements 8 and Premiere Elements 8, you can create additional catalogs in Photoshop Elements 8 that can be used in Premiere Elements 8, but these programs will display the same ONE catalog.
    b. Project Presets. The “New Preset” button is gone. The categories of the presets for NTSC and PAL remain the same: AVCHD, DV, “Hard Disk, Flash Memory Camcorder”, HDV. However, two choices have been added to the “Hard Disk, Flash Memory Camcorder” categories. Now we have HD 1080i30, HD 1080i30 (60i), Standard, and Widescreen. Here I have a problem reconciling the names and the descriptions. It was my understanding, in Premiere Elements 7 for standard and widescreen in this category, this preset category reverses the Fields: from Upper Field First to Lower Field First in Premiere Elements edits. So, now with these new choices described as follows:
HD 1080i30: 1920 x 1080i; pixel aspect ratio = square pixels (1.0); camcorders like JVC GZ-HD7; 16:9 interlaced HD video at 29:97 frames per second.
HD 1080i30 (60i): HD video from 1440 x 1080i camcorders; 16:9 interlaced HD video at 29:97 frames per second HDV 1080i Anamorphic.
When thinking HD 1080i30 preset….the JVC camcorder captures to a progressive sensor, assumed at 30 frames per second, and can record to it’s built in hard drive as 1920 x 1080i with 30 frames per second each frame with 2 fields. So, what prevents us from calling this preset HD 1080i30 (30p) Square Pixel?
When thinking HD 1080i30 (60i))…the camcorder involved captures to an interlaced sensor at 60 fields per second, and can record to it media as 1440 x 1080 with 30 frames per second, using a HD Anamorphic. So, what prevents us from calling this preset HD 1080i30 (60i) Anamorphic?
When I start comparing preset choices, the only reason for using these “Hard Disk, Flash Memory Camcorder” new choices appears to be, like for standard and widescreen, to have the Fields reversed. Do you agree? Any comments on the nomenclature for these new preset choices?
    3. Adobe Folder, folders and files
If you go to the default location of the Adobe Folder (My Documents\Premiere Elements\8.0), there are some differences there:
For Premiere Elements 7 and earlier versions there were:
    Adobe Premiere Elements Previews Folder
    Encoded Files Folder
Media Cache Folder that piled up with conformed audio files (.cfa and .pek)
    Project Prel file
    Styles Folder
    And sometimes 2 .log files
Now in Premiere Elements 8, the Media Cache Folder is gone and we have the arrangement:
    Adobe Premiere Elements Previews Folder
    CA Object Track Results
    Encoded Files
    Layouts
    Styles Folder
(You no longer see the endless conforming of DVD Menus (not even used) at the beginning of the project. But, I am still trying to figure out what they did with the conformed audio files (.cfa and .pek). More on that next time, along with Premiere Elements 8 Exports as well as Photoshop Elements 8/Premiere Elements 8 intergration.

I have not gotten to Part 3 yet. This is an add on to the last add on.
I tried to find the Premiere Elements 8 Read Me file since those Read Me files usually contain "Known Bug Messages". I could not find that Adobe had put it online, but I did dig it out of the try out download folder. Here is the excerpt on Premiere Elements 8 known bugs/issues:
Adobe Premiere Elements 8.0 Known Issues
Importing Adobe Premiere Elements 3.0 and 4.0 Projects
    • Effect keyframes in Premiere elements 3.0 projects may not import correctly
    Capturing and Importing Video
DV Device control will be disabled and capture will not proceed normally if sound card is not present or offline.
    ·         If capture is interrupted by a system event such as switching users, locking the system, or the screensaver, the duration of the captured file will be much shorter than expected. It is recommended to disable the screensaver before starting capture, and to avoid any actions that may interfere with the capture.
    ·         For live capture from DV camcorders, you must first disable scene detect.
    ·         When importing some Flash files a “Macromedia Flash Player security" message reading “Flash player has stopped potentially unsafe operation" may appear. Click “OK”, and the file will import normally.
    ·         When capturing form HDV camcorders you may see interlace lines in the preview window, The interlace lines do not appear in the captured video
    ·         Divx files may not be imported properly and sometimes import only audio or video part of it
    ·         After completing time-lapse capture, it may take some time for the organizer to update and display the thumbnails for the captured files. Still images captured using Stop Motion are not added to the organizer.
    ·         Importing media from some devices requires that the drivers provided with devices are installed
    ·         Stop Motion capture is not supported for HDV camcorders.
    Organizer
    •       When reconnecting missing media, each grouped scene must be reconnected individually
    Edit
    ·         If issues are seen with color in preview, switch to CPU playback mode by un-checking “Enable GPU Playback” checkbox in Edit>preferences>General and restart application after saving your project.
    ·         Generation of thumbnails for DVD scene menus may take longer than expected when using HDV content.
    ·         Organizer may exhibit performance issues with large catalogs (5000-10,000 files )
    ·         With some GPU cards enabling “Accelerated GPU Effects” may cause the preview to be zoomed in.
    ·         Voice over narration may not be recorded using a mono USB microphone
    ·         When previewing audio mixes, pops may be heard as the CTI passes form one clip to the next. These pops will not appear in your exported movie
Audio mixer sliders may become “sticky” when mixing clips that have been time stretched
    ·         [Japanese  & Chinese Simplified SPECIFIC] When application is installed to path that contains double byte characters path, GPU effects/transition will not function.
    ·         [Japanese SPECIFIC] Inputting ¥ symbol in Menu templates produces a backslash ( \ )
    Photoshop Elements Integration
    • In Photoshop Elements, choosing “Edit in Adobe Premiere Elements” may not bring the Adobe Premiere Elements window to the foreground.
    • If a Photoshop Elements slideshow is sent to Adobe Premiere Elements, further edits in Photoshop Elements will not be reflected in Adobe Premiere Elements.
    • Images saved in Photoshop Elements in BMP mode using the Advanced Settings cannot be imported into Adobe Premiere Elements. This includes images created using Adobe Premiere Elements Freeze Frame function and sent to Photoshop Elements for editing. If the image is saved using Photoshop Elements Advanced Settings, it cannot be returned to Adobe Premiere Elements, and as result, the original, unedited Freeze Frame image will be used.
    • Send to Premiere Elements 8.0 will not work from older versions of Photoshop Elements
    Exporting Movies
    • Export of movies to the root directory of any drive (e.g. D:\) may fail.
    • When exporting movies over one hour to MPEG2 format, the render dialog may continue to be displayed for a period of time after the render progress bar appears to have completed. Rendering is still occurring until the render dialog boxes closes. Clicking Cancel before the render dialog box closes will interrupt this process, and your export file will not be created
    • For play back on a PSP, movies must include both audio and video. Movies exported with video only or audio only will not play back on the PSP.
    • Archival of projects with Type 1 DV-AVI files is not supported.
    • If standard definition menu templates are used when burning to Bluray, menu images s will appear of low quality
    • When attempting to burn a Bluray disc to a previously burned disc, you will see an error message indicating that the disc is incompatible, instead of an error message indicating the disc is full.
    • Movies exported in H.264 format may have a few white frames added to the end
    • Movies exported in MPEG2 format may be a few frames shorter than the original movie
This seems to answer my question about Photoshop Elements 8/Premiere Element 8 integration regarding slideshows, but may be of more widespread interest to others for the other "known bugs" cited by Adobe.

  • Premiere Elements is cutting large video imports

When I try to import a large gopro file it cuts it down to the first minute. I was hoping to get the highest quality file imported into Adobe. I can get around this by reducing the quality of the file and shortening the length in gopro studio but why am I having to use to separate programs?

    123
There are several problems here, two of which are frame size and frame rate.
Next in line is your report that your import duration is less than the pre-import duration of the original.
You say that your camera is set to record 1920 x 1080 @ 48 progressive frames per second. But according
to your screenshot, the frame size is 1920 x 1440 @ 47.95. This is an atypical format for the Premiere Elements project presets.
And Premiere Elements does not have a 47.95 or 48 frames per second.frame rate.
So, if you drag and drop or use Add Media/Files and Folders, the project is going to give you automatically a 1920 x 1080 @ 29.97 interlaced frames
per second project preset, and your footage in the Edit area monitor is going to look like
How do you account for the fact that you are shooting 1920 x 1080 @ 48 progressive frames per second and your
import properties within the project are showing 1920 x 1440 @ 47.95 progressive frames per second. My focus here
is on the frame size right now. From what I have read, your camera can record 1920 x 1440 @ 48 progressive frames per second.
The Properties screenshot, presumed from the program read of the file's properties, shows a duration of 8 minutes 32 seconds and
22 frames. What is the total duration of the file before import? Around 13 minutes?
For troubleshooting purposes, If you record at 1920 x 1080 @ 29.97 progressive frames per second, do you run into these frame size and frame rate and duration issues?
Let us further see how the program is interpreting your video. Please right click the thumbnail of the file in Expert workspace Project Assets
and select Interpret Footage. In the Interpret Footage dialog, what is listed in the Frame Rate section for frame rate of original file. And, in

I have recently had problems in getting my Adobe Premiere Elements 10 to run. One of the gentlemen was able to take over control of my computer, and got it working for me, however since that time the program will sometimes open but most times it just freezes the computer and I have to shut it down and re open without any success with opening the elements program.

What computer operating system is your Premiere Elements 10 running on?
What video card/graphics card does your computer use? NVIDIA GeForce? If so, please read the Announcement about the Premiere Elements 10 NVIDIA GeForce issue which is found at the top of this web site. Does that apply to you? The explanation for the situation and the fix (roll back of the driver version) are all included in that Announcement.
We need to rule in or out this factor at the onset before we get to other questions
    a. non NIVIDIA video card/graphics card driver
    b. project preset and properties of source media
    c. computer details
    More later.
We will be watching for your reply.
    Thank you.

Very pleased to see that you have resolved your Premiere Elements 12, Error 1 issue, using an uninstall/reinstall.
    Just two questions....
    1. Was the solution doing the uninstall and reinstall, but with the antivirus and firewall(s) disabled?
    2. Have you updated 12 to 12.1 Update, using an opened project's Help Menu/Update? If not, please do so.
Best wishes as you move forward with your Premiere Elements projects. Great job.

  • Adobe Premiere Elements 10 - Error 6

I've uninstalled and then reinstalled, and this is the second time it's happened. This pop-up occurs when I try and open any project or attempt to start the program. After I reinstalled the first time last night, it worked fine after opening the program only 4 or 5 times, and then it gave me the error again. I've searched everywhere and can't find an easy fix for this, or maybe I'm not looking hard enough. I don't know if it's even worth it to mess with a customer support, the thought just terrifies me...
    Computer Specs:
    NVIDIA NVS 5200M - version 320.86
    Windows 7
    Intel(R) Core (TM) i7-3720QM CPU @ 2.60 GHZ
    8.00 GB RAM
    64 bit OS
Any help would be much appreciated, I'm no computer wiz but I hope some of you are!

Typically Adobe supports only the current version (which is 12)/purchased/registered. But someone reported just the other day that Adobe was supporting 11 and 12. But you have 10....
How would you class your issue "It worked before but not now" or "it never worked before"?
Typically those Exit 6 or 7 error messages are associated with installations that end with errors. I am assuming the your Error 6 is the Exit 6 Error code.
Is your NVIDIA card = NVIDIA GeForce GT 520M? If so, my first instinct would be to point you in the direction of the Premiere Elements 10 NVIDIA GeForce issue detailed with fix at the top of this forum. The fix being the roll back of the driver version to about May 2013.
Premiere Elements 10 NVIDIA Video Card Driver Roll Back
If you are a Premiere Elements 10 user whose Windows computer uses a NVIDIA GeForce video card and you are experiencing
Premiere Elements 10 display and/or unexplained program behavior, then your first line of troubleshooting needs to be rolling
back the video card driver version instead of assuring that it is up to date.
Since October 2013 to the present, there have been a growing number of reports about display and unexplained workflow
glitches specific to the Premiere Elements 10 user whose Windows computer has a NVIDIA GeForce video card. If this applies
to you, then the “user to user” remedy is to roll back the NVIDIA GeForce video card driver as far as is necessary to get rid of
the problems. The typical driver roll back has gone back as far as March – July 2013 in order to get a working Premiere
Elements 10. Neither NVIDIA nor Adobe has taken any corrective action in this regard to date, and none is expected moving forward.
Since October 2013, the following thread has tried to keep up with the Premiere Elements 10 NVIDIA reports

Older NVIDIA GeForce drivers can be found

A February 2014 overview of the situation as well as how to use the older NVIDIA GeForce drivers for the driver roll back can be found

But if your details are correct, driver version 320.86, you are working with an old driver anyway. But, you might want to roll the
driver version back a few dates beyond that one to rule in or out any involvement in the Premiere Elements 10 NVIDIA GeForce issue.
If you rule out the video card driver version, we could look at deleting the Premiere Elements 10 Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file and
the whole 10.0 Folder in which it exists.
    Local Disk C
    Users
    Owner
    AppData
    Roaming
    Adobe
    10.0
and in the 10.0 Folder is the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file that you delete. If that does not work, then delete the whole 10.0 Folder
in which the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file exists. Be sure to be working with Folder Option Show Hidden Files, Folders, and
Drives active so that you can see the complete path.
Also, determine if the problem exists with or without the antivirus disabled.
Let us go through the above and determine where we stand after that. Please do not hesitate to ask for clarification on anything that I have
written. I will rewrite if necessary.
    Thank you.

What computer operating system is your Premiere Elements 10 to run on?
You are involved in the Premiere Elements 10/NVIDIA GeForce issue whose full details (description and fix) are included
in the Announcement at the top of this forum. Copy for your convenience below.
You gave a lot of details but did not include the computer operating system. This information may be the key whether
the known fix will work for you. The known fix requires roll back of the driver version to about May 2013. If your computer
is Windows 8 or 8.1 64 bit, there may not be a driver old enough to resolve the issue. This may force you consider
a Premiere Elements version other than 10 or a different video card/graphics card for your computer. This issue is
specific for Premiere Elements 10 and the NVIDIA GeForce cards.
