Premiere Elements: Convert Trial Installation to Full Product
I downloaded the premier elements trial, then successfully installed and tried it out. Then I purchased and got a serial number. Where do I enter the serial number to turn the trial into a licensed product?
GoboGorp when you open Premiere Elements 12 you will be give an option to license this software. Once you choose this option you will be given the opportunity to enter your Adobe ID and serial number.

KonradWelcome to the forum.
As your system setup will likely be much different from that of Konrad's, I would start a new thread, and in it, list the full system in detail, as Konrad did. This ARTICLE will give you tips on the info that would be very useful.
In Konrad's case, the C:\ was filled to about capacity, so could well have been a contributing factor. That is why full I/O specs. will be very, very useful.
Good luck,

Premiere Elements 10 trial version vs buying Elements 11
Hi!
I downloaded Premiere Elements 10 trial version last week but now 11 is out!
I (unfortunalty for me) didn't realize watermarks would "stay" until I bought full version but I figured I might as well buy the 11 version since it's out. So how can I do this since when I open program it asks me if I want to purchase version 10? and most importantly, will I loose all the work I've done so far???
Thanks!
Vivivd45You are welcome to uninstall the Premiere Elements 10 trial and install the Premiere Elements 11 trial. You can locate the trial at http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=premiere_elements&loc=us.

Adobe premiere elements 8 trial
Ok so I'm working on a school assignment and downloaded the trial of premiere elements. Installed fine etc but noticed, that overlayed on the video is "Created using Adobe Premiere Elements 8 Trial version". The school has full licenced copies of Premiere elements 7. If I create the movie at home and then load it on the school computers will it still have that? Also, is there any issues going from Premiere Elements 8 to Premiere Elements 7
P.S. Sorry about my name, but it kept rejecting namesIf you did a Save_As, or Save_As_a_Copy, copied all of your Assets and had a laptop with PrE 8, then things should work fine. Remember - the Asset files are NOT in the Project file. This ARTICLE will give you the tips.
I migrate Projects between computers (usually PrPro, but it's exactly the same). I use external FW-800 drives, and set each Project up in its own folder and ALL Assets are Copied to that folder structure.
The problem that one will likely encounter is that with an external HDD, the drive letter will probably change, machine to machine. I set this to be the same for each computer's OS, so that my Z:\ is always my Z:\ drive on each computer, where I plug it in. This might be something that you will not have access to, with lab machines, but PrE makes it easy to deal with. When you plug in the external HDD, and then open your Project, the Path to the Assets will be different, so PrE will not be able to find them on its own. It will ask, "where is file _____?" and you can then use Find to navigate to the new Path for those Assets files. Once you locate the first one in that folder, it will then relink to all used Assets in that folder. If you have the Assets in many different folders, you will need to repeat for each folder.
Be very sure to read that FAQ article on removing the watermark. That will need to be followed.
Good luck,

Premiere Elements 8 trial crashes when creating a new project
Was redirected to the forums by a support tech, who informed me that Adobe provides no phone support for trial products...
Installed Adobe Premiere Elements 8 trial for one of our creatives to evaluate. Platform is Windows XP x64.
Installed as an administrator account, however the user is not an admin. When run under the administrative account, the program seems to function normally, but crashes when run as the local user, with the following error messages:
And finally...
The user's My Documents is redirected to a network share, in case that would be an issue.
Any ideas? One - WinXp64 was an oddity, that is not supported by much
Two - "When run under the administrative account, the program seems to function normally"
My understanding (remember that this is a USER TO USER forum, so I don't work for Adobe) is that all flavors of Premiere require 100% of a computer's resources... and that includes being run as Administrator
If the program works for you when run as Administrator... that is what you need to do
Three - "My Documents is redirected to a network share, in case that would be an issue"
Again my understanding... all flavors of Premiere are NOT designed to use a network... they were/are designed to be installed on a single computer and to run on that computer -
premiere elements 12, new installation, serial no. accepted, installation completed and new started, but does not run. I get following msg-box: "LoadLibrary failed with error 126: Das angegebene Modul wurde nicht gefunden." Installation in German Language on WIN7 professional 64bit, Samsung SSD. What can I do to run that program?

Can I download Premiere Elements 7 trial?
Does anybody know where can I download Premiere Elements 7 trial? My school is using Premiere Elements 7 and I'm afraid I'm going to have compatibility issues with Elements 9 and 7.
That might be a tough one, as PrE 7 is now two years and two versions old, I would anticipate that the trial downloads are long gone.
Also remember, any Project done in any "trial" version will be watermarked, so you might not be happy with the results. This FAQ Entry will tell you more about the watermark.
Good luck, and I hope that someone else might have a URL to the download, but I would not hold my breath, due to the age of that version.

Premiere Elements 10 Trial Slow To Draw Timeline
Problems with Premiere Elements 10 Trial being slow to draw the timeline when scrolling up or down or sideways.
One fix I've read said to "disable desktop composition" in the Compatibility tab of the Properties window from the PE shortcut icon.
But the option is grayed out.
My spec's:
Windows 7 64 bit
i7 2600K
16GB RAM
NVIDIA GTX 460
850 Watt PSU
SSD System and Programs Drive
Can't figure out why it's not letting me choose that option.
Any ideas for a fix?
Thanks! What model of camcorder is your original video coming from and what format is it?
When you started your Premiere Elements project, which project settings did you select? If you've selected the proper settings for your source video, you will NOT see red lines above the clips when you add them to your timeline. Is that the case in your project?
Also, have you run Advanced System Care Free on your system? Brand new systems can be a mess of fragmentation and temp files. This great little one-click program can clean up and optimize your machine and often clears up "invisible" issues. And it's free. I've used it every week for years, and my 6 year old computer still runs better than the day I bought it.

How do I download Premiere Elements 8 Trial? My computer has Windows XP Professional 32-bits.
Download it from http://prodesigntools.com/direct-download-links-for-lightroom-3-and-photoshop-elements-8.h tml
You must follow the Very Important Instructions on that page FIRST (BEFORE you click the download link) otherwise the download links will not work
Enter your serial number to license the software on your computer.
If you do not have a serial number then the software will only work for 30 days. After that you will not be able to use it. -
Premiere Elements 11 (Trial) question
Hello
What might be the reason why Premiere Elements 11 (Trial) will not open up when I double-click on its desktop icon?
I have successfully installed it today - but not used it - and I can see it in the Control Panel and there is a folder for it under Adobe in my Windows 7 Program Files folder on my C drive.
Thanks
SteveYou are correct. The only way to test that would be to install an nVidia, or AMD/ATI card, disable the Intel embedded chip, and install the latest driver from the mfgr's. Web site - then test.
For general computing, the video card/chip and its driver, are less important, and e-mail clients, word processors, spreadsheet programs, and Web browsers usually work just fine. However, with programs like PrE, 3D creation programs and extreme games, rely very heavily on the interface with the video driver. PrE needs that, just for running its GUI (Graphical User Interface). It is programs, in that latter group, that tax the video driver very heavily.
I would start with this FAQ Entry (if I have posted this link upthread, I apologize): http://forums.adobe.com/thread/792580?tstart=0 It starts with a general checklist on getting things set up and running for PrE. Then, it goes into some tips on tuning up one's computer and OS. Finally, it lists many troubleshooting tips, and links to some tools to help in that process, going from easy to harder. If you find, that after that article, things still do not work properly, that will narrow the focus to the video driver, with pretty high probability - though only the test outlined above, could verify that.
Though I have had Intel CPU's, since the first PC hit my desk in the 80's, I would not rely on one of their GPU chips, due to the lack of driver support, and always recommend that one go with an nVidia, or AMD/ATI chip set, instead. Going back some years, I was a fan of the Matrox video cards, especially on my graphic design computers. However, like Intel, Matrox was deficient in their driver support, so I finally dropped them for nVidia.
Even then, there can be developmental dead ends. My current laptop is about 5 years old, and has an nVidia GeForce 8800M GTX. I am still running XP-Pro SP-3 on it, and nVidia has not done a new driver for that chip and that OS, since mid-2012. All of my other Adobe programs run fine on it, except for PrE 11, which has some display issues. It's nothing that I cannot live with, especially as I have a new laptop on order. Still, and even with an nVidia chip, the driver support for it, with my older OS, has run its course. I, who always urge people to update their video drivers, am now out of luck - no new driver for that chip and OS - dead end.
Good luck,

Using the trial version of Premiere Elements for a project.. if I later purchased.. will the trial banner be removed from my work.. thereby not wasting my time.??
Bhymer
You cannot remove the Adobe watermark from an export of the tryout of the program, be it an export to file saved to the computer hard drive or a burn to end product.
But you can remove the Adobe watermark from the project file from a tryout. To do that
a. The classical report - open the project file of the tryout in the purchased version, and then go to Timeline Menu/Delete Rendered Files. The Adobe watermark should
be gone.
b. Some of us, including myself, have found that just opening the project file of the tryout in the purchased version removes the Adobe watermark.
Determine which of these works for you if you decide to purchase the program after the tryout.
Any questions or need clarification, please do not hesitate to ask.
Thank you.
