Premiere Elements Won't Start for a Particular User

If I try to start a new project or use an existing project then I get the message "Sorry, a serious error has occurred etc" and Elements closes.
This happens only with my main working user account (Windows XP) but not any other user accounts.
I have tried all the usual tips such as deleting the temp folder and deleting the preferences file in Docs and Settings.
I have checked the preferences folder security settings and they are the same for all users.
Any thoughts on what else I can do? I will try to write the next bit in as small a text size as I can .... I am using Elements 1.0

Have you uninstalled defragged, and reinstalled ? If not certainly worth doing. Install it from your problem users account. I suggest right-clicking the setup file and selecting 'Run as Administrator' - that's the Vista / W7 option - if I recall in XP you select 'Run as ...' and then select administrator.

Adobe Premiere Elements Won't Start A New Project?

When I open up Premiere Elements and try to start a new project, all it shows is a black and purple line, then it just stops. I have already tried updating QuickTime, Windows 7, Nvidia Drivers, and Uninstalling and then Reinstalling Premiere elements. I am running it on a PC that has an AMD FX(tm)-6300 Six Core Proccessor, 8 GB of RAM, a Nvidia G-Force GTX 650, and i installed the program on a secondary hard drive with 761 GB of free space.

What is this "secondary hard drive" on which you originally installed Premiere Elements 12? Internal or external and how formatted NTSC or FAT32?
I do not see where anyone has asked about "Scratch Disks" as they relate to your issues?
Please refer to Edit Menu/Preferences/Scratch Disks...
a. Where are the scratch disks directed and how much free hard drive space is at that location?
b. Do you have all the scratch disks categories directed to the same place? If not, do so and make sure there is lots of free hard drive space where you are pointing them to.
Please look for pile ups of preview files in the Adobe Premiere Elements Preview Files Folder and pile ups of conformed audio in the Media Cache Folder. Both these folders by default are in Documents/Adobe/Premiere Elements/12.0.
Please go to Edit Menu/Preferences/Media and hit the Clean button in the Media Cache Database in that area.

Yes you can install Premiere Elements on any other drive. For that you need to follow these steps:
1. Uninstall current copy of Premiere Elements.
2. Start the installer of Premiere ELements.
3. Choose a location on d:\ drive after choosing the default TV format.
Please keep in mind, even if you select d: drive as the install location some amount of data will get copied to C: drive.

Premiere Elements won't start

Hey all:
I have Premiere Elements 3.0, which is true, I don't use it too often. But today I wanted to use it, and after the splash screen, I get the following error message:
MS Virtual C++ Runtime Library
R6025
-Pure Virtual Function Call
I suppose the answer is to re-install, but was hoping there was a better answer!

This is most likely a problem with the MS Windows RunTime.dll. There have been several updates to that, and they are version specific, so make sure to only download and install the one for your version of Windows. IIRC, these are available on the MS site. I'll also look for some links to other RunTime problems with Adobe software, but as the fora have been redone, might not be able to find those.

UI elements not being displayed for a particular user

Hi,
I designed two i/p fields and text view for the same in a view. All are static UI elements and no visibility property is set.
This view is displayed as a popup when i press the button in the main view.
This is working fine for all the users in production except for one user.
This particular user is able to see only one input field and the corresponding text view.The other i/p element is missed here.
The whole component is displayed in a portal as a tab with other components in the adjacent tabs.
Please help me out to resolve this issue.
Is this problem is related to webdynpro abap? or
Is this a portal issue?

may be check the user setting for the User id .
right click on the view click user setting . and check whether he hide that button .
look at the pic.

Safari won't start in a particular user.

Hi.
About 2 weeks ago all of the sudden I couldn't run safari on this particular user (other users in my mac work well), when I launched (either form the dock or directly from the app folder) I got the spinning color ball and the safari icon jumping indefinitely, I could never get it fixed. Then about a week later it started to work again, without me doing anything, it just did. Yesterday, again without doing anything different from usual it stopped working again.
I tried deleting the plist and other files I read about in the forum, I even downloaded and re-installed safari but still no luck.
So, 1. Why did it stop/start working all by itself and 2. How can I fix this.

A particular widget won't work for a particular user

I recently upgraded from 10.3.9 to 10.4.6. After trying out various widgets I have hit on a curious problem: the Unit Converter widget that is installed with the system will not work on my user account. It works on other user accounts. It works on a new "test" user account. But on my account, the widget just seems to hang: it appears, but the menus stay empty and I cannot type anything into the number fields. On other accounts this is the way it looks before it has loaded. And the same thing happens on both computers! All other widgets (Apple and third-party) seem to work fine on my account.
I have tried the following:
- trashed com.apple.dashboard.client.plist
- trashed com.apple.dashboard.plist
- trashed caches/dashboardclient
- repaired permissions with disk utility
- cleaned up caches with Applejack
- uninstalled and re-installed widgets
but the problem is still there.
The Activity Monitor tells me that the Unit Converter DashboardClient is using between 80% and 94% of CPU.
What could be special about my user account that is preventing Unit Converter from working?

Thanks for the advice, Niel. Interestingly enough, the Unit Converter had not created a plist file. I did try you suggestion of dragging all the widget plist files to the desktop, but the Unit Converter still didn't work.
But I have now found the solution. The problem was being caused by a custom number format that I had inherited from the Panther installation. In Tiger it's impossible to set a custom number format - the number format is set automatically for each region and it's impossible to change it. But it was possible to set a custom number format in Panther and it is recognized by Tiger. So I can either keep using my custom number format, in which case Unit Converter won't work, or set one of the standard number formats, in which case Unit Converter works (I see that now it actually launches, it has also created its plist file: eveidently the file didn't exist before because the widget had never got as far as creating it).
I think it's very bad that Apple removed the custom number format feature. And since the old custom number format from Panther was recognized by the new system, it's also bad that this widget doesn't work with it.
But at least I've found the solution to my own problem!

Getting the message Adobe Premiere Elements could not start after silent install

I am getting the following message after running a silent command line installtion. The coomand line I am using is
setup.exe" /S /UL1033 /V"/qn COUNTRY=244 SERIALNUMBER="xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx" the x64 on Windows 7 64-bit.
After manually running the set-up.exe installer located in the ElementsSTIInstaller folder, Premiere elements launchs.
What is the cause of the error after running a silent installion?

and command to install Premiere elements silently is : start/wait OEM.exe /UL%LangCode% /V“SERIALNUMBER=%Adobe volume license serial number%”
Example : C:\ Adobe Premiere Elements 10/Adobe Premiere Elements 10 - 64 Bit> start/wait OEM.exe /UL1033 /V"SERIALNUMBER=1111-1111-1111-1111-1111-1111"

This is not Adobe, rather user to user.
Premiere Elements is applicable to personal use or company use.
The program and its required QuickTime need to be run with Administrative permissions which typically involved running the program from a User Account with Administrative Privileges and sometimes also with Run As Administrator applied.
Volume licensing, your company security demands, and your company network matters should be directed to Adobe Sales and the Adobe Volume licensing groups.
Definitely go the free 30 day tryout from Adobe before purchase.

Unable to see a column of a table in portal for a particular User

Hi,
A particular user is unable to see a particular column of a table in the portal . The application is developed in Webdynpro ABAP. The table contains two columns. Both the columns contain text type fields. What appears to the user is that the left column has disappeared and the right hand column has shifted to the left.
This is occuring for a particular user only. We have checked in our development and quality systems but we are unable to replicate the issue. Please help.

You can use BAPI in LSMW to craete Material or You can use direct input method. Both methods as follows below:
Using BAPI in LSMW:
First maintain IDOC Inbound Processing steps by giving PORT and Partner Type and Partner Numberby clicking 'settings' icon in menu path in LSMW Screen.
Adn then execute LSMW and maintain the values as below in the first step.
BusinessObject Method(BAPI)

Thank you for your reply. However, I could not get Templates to work correctly for me. Following your instructions, I opened my document, opened Page Setup, set the printer, paper size, orientation, and printed a copy to make sure it was right. Then I re-opened Page Setup to verify that the settings were still correct. Then I saved the document as a Template. Then I found my template in Pages, opened the template, and tried to print. The first thing I noticed was that the template did not remember my printer. Then I set the printer, and printed, but I found that the template also did not remember the page size or the document orientation. So, did I miss a step here? Lion 10.7.5 and Mac Mini.

Search for a particular user

I have configured LDAP authentication and mapped few LDAP user groups to BOXI. When an user group is added all the user will also be mapped to BOXI. For the users mapped the distinguished name is added as one of the alias.
The requirement is to search for a particular user in the BOXI using the distinguished name(DN), hence need to query on the alias name or ID. I tried the query something like but didn't worked.
SELECT * FROM CI_SYSTEMOBJECTS WHERE SI_KIND='User' AND SI_ALIASES.1.SI_NAME like '%DISTINGUISHED_NAME%'
IF the DN is like cn=userName,ou=users,ou=group1, dc=myorg, dc=com and the query is written as it works.

After user logs in, I want to present the user with a list of applications
that the user is authorized. To do this, I need to get a list of Acls for
this user. I tried to implement a method in the DefaultRealmExtender which
gets all the Acls and then checks for permission "execute". This works fine
when the jsp is displayed, but if I leave the browser for a while and then
refresh the page, the entire weblogic shuts down. After debugging, I found
out that it blows up when it tries to check the permission. Any help will be
appreciated.

Thanks for your response. But the applicant is still active for some of the Vacancies. I can't delete that person.
We can do this from the applicant from. NAv: Vacancies--> Applicants--> select the rejected applicants--> In the application tab there is one field called " Reconsider Applicant" If you select the reason you will be able to consider that applicant for that same vacancy but in the applicant tab i am not finding the reason field only for this applicant. I think this applicant perform some different step while he is with drewn the applicantion.
