Premiere freezes when shuttling left in multi-camera window
Ever since I upgraded to CS4, if I shuttle left (press J) while stopped inside the Multi-Camera window, Premiere will freeze. Sometimes its 3-5 seconds, sometimes its for good. While the interface doesn't completely lock up (I can click on things), if I try to stop and re-play something using the mouse, there will continue to be a delay. If I shuttle left while playing inside Multi-Camera, however, it works fine. I do not encounter this type of freezing anywhere else in the software (if I shuttle left from the actual timeline, not Multi-Camera, its fine).
I'm using CS4 on the Mac. This never happened in CS3. Because of the annoying behavior of Multi-Camera, if I do live switching, making an edit mark when I stop playing, I have to constantly start and stop when making my edits, so this rewind behavior is EXTREMELY annoying. And because I do 90% of my work inside Multi-Camera, I can't escape the problem.
Is this happening to anyone else?? Any suggestions?
I'll try to reproduce on my end. in the meantime, have you tried something as simple as this? http://blogs.adobe.com/genesisproject/2009/11/having_weird_behavior_with_an.html
You might also try cleaning your media cache (prefs>media I think).
Hope this helps,
Dennis

Hi All,
Premiere Pro CC has been crashing for me repeatedly for several months now, and I'm completely out of ideas to try to fix the problem. I have several projects that I'm attempting to work on, and all of them involving syncing up twenty or thirty clips by audio. Every time I try to sync, the progress bar will show a small amount of "progress" and then it will freeze and crash. Any ideas what may be causing this?
Below are the specs on my system. I've never had trouble with Premiere syncing before, but this just began around the time of the Yosemite update. Is there a known-issue with the new operating system and Premiere?
Thanks for any ideas, I appreciate it very much!

With just the media alone, does Premiere play all fine? Does your media frame rate match? All the same, like progressive or interlaced. I am not knowing because I have never Premiere crash when auto audio sync'ing, but have had Premiere crash with lots of other situations.

Premiere freezes when opening Help PDF file
When I click help in the help menu, the PDF opens right away, but then Premiere freezes for about 40 seconds. I suspect it is trying to download some Internet content, but this behavior needs to be fixed. My Mac Pro is connected to an AirPort Extreme via wifi, but this network is not connected to the Internet, it's just for internal file transfers. If I turn off the computer's wifi, this problem does not happen. I get the same symptoms with Premiere, After Effects, an Media Encoder. All of the help PDFs are downloaded already and show current in Adobe Help.
Hi, spookybathtub,
Just confirming that you're running Premiere Pro CS6?
Thanks,

Multi-Cam Window Won't Fully Open for Cam 1
Hey, maybe this is easy, but I've been struggling with it for several hours now and it's frustrating me. I'm using Premiere Pro CC and it's been like this since the new format was introduced. I've checked setttings, and I'm sure this is something simple, but I have yet to find it. If I grab the lower right side of the panel, it just makes it bigger with the same amount of Cam 1 visible.
Why can't I get Cam 1 to show up in this multi-cam shot?Use the Flyout menu to uncheck Show Multi-Camera Preview Monitor

Itunes 11.4 freezing when ipod touch 5 connected to windows 7 64bit
Every time the iPod touch 5th generation is connected to ITunes in Windows 7 64 bit, the stupid iTunes freezes. The only way to unfreeze is to disconnect it. This problem has been going for a very long time. Upgrading iTunes does nothing. ITunes 11.4 does not fix the problem. There is no way to sync iPod touch with windows 7. This getting very frustrating. When is someone going to post a fix that permanently fixes this problem that has existed for a long time. Anyone got a brain that works?
A few months ago someone posted a fix that required to disable a windows update that work for a while. Now iTunes is back to its old freezing behaviors. Fix it Apple now!..This is a useless reply. It does not work. Uninstalling and reinstalling does nothing to fix it. Itunes always freezes when Ipod is connected. This is a problem with Windows 7 64bit and is very common problem. Itunes doesn't want to cooperate with 64bit windows. If you search the internet, lots are having the same problem. This problem has existed for 10 years. Every new version of itunes never fixes the problem. Why can't Apple and Microsoft work together to fix the issue. This is unacceptable. Apple software designers are very lazy and stupid.

Premiere freezes when sending to Media Encoder Queue
Hey guys,
This issue is on all of our computers (Mac Pros and 27" iMacs) and happens on 40% of attempted exports through Media Encoder.
Here's our new workflow:
- Export TImeline (Command + M)
- Send to Media Encoder (Queue button)
- Media Encoder Opens and Premiere gets hung on "Preparing Data for Export" dialogue
- Force Quit Premiere and get a dialogue that "There has been a serious error and Premiere needs to close"
- Reopen Premiere and try again – usually get a clean export (or two on a good day) before it craps out again
We've sort of gotten used to it but I'm wondering – anyone else having this issue? It's getting annoying (and embarrassing when you're in a client session).
Doesn't matter what timeline setting or what's on the timeline. Also doesn't matter what version of either program.I am having the same problem (see Premiere now freezes on Media Encoder Queue)
I am on 2014.1 of both programs (8.1.0 on premiere, 8.1.0.122 of AME). I know an update just came out today, but it seems to be just a RAW photo update.
Mine hangs when premiere is "Preparing Media for Export..." It launches AME and AME boots up fine... so from where I sit, it looks like a Premiere problem as it's compiling the project file to export.
Neither "import natively / non natively" or GPU acceleration help. However, I wouldn't expect them to, given this seems to be a premiere problem, not an AME problem.
That thread does not apply re: nView.

I NEED HELP!
I am wondering if you clever people out there can help me...
When i turn my camera on iphoto starts to recognise the new device but then freezes (just an endless spinning wheel) before it ever displays the photos and asks for an import option. I have copied my crash report below:

Why is Premiere freezing when I load a project?
Ok.. this is just bizzare. I was running Premiere on:
Windows 7 Home Premium
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU 920 @ 2.67GHz 2.67 GHz
9.00 GM RAM
32-bit Operating System
But... Premiere couldnt export without getting an error. I brought it to a repair show and they told me it was WIndows 7 at fault.
So, I instaleld a new 1 TB hard drive and installed Vista Home Premium on the hard drive with the same other specs, and reinstaleld the Adobe Master Collection. I completed 90 seconds of a project with no problem. now, all the sudden... when I load the project, I can't do anything without it freezing! I
literally can't click on a part of the timelinme or click any effects, nothing. There is no reason for this at all since it is a brand new hard drive, operating system,
everything. Any help would be greatly appreciated, as this is beyond annoying. What is the make/model of your video card, and have you updated the driver for it? What is the version/date of your current video driver?
While you are at it, also update your audio driver, as well.

OK... I'm using the latest PP CC with Windows 7 64-bit on an iMac.
I recently formatted my hard drive and reinstalled Premiere, and since then I've been unable to render in timeline (pressing enter). I can still export media without rendering, and it all works perfectly, but when I try to render it always freezes and I have to force quit program.
In addition to this problem, when I try to re-open the project I was working on it says "This project contained a sequence that could not be opened. No sequence preview preset file or codec could be associated with this sequence type".
I've read some threads on this, and I'm able to make a new project and import the sequences from the corrupted project onto it, but I don't want to have to do this every time! Is there any way to fix these problems?
Thank you.Hi,
The error message that you have given occurs mainly when Premiere Pro is not activated properly or even sometimes when Creative Cloud Desktop app is not updated or you are not signed in.
To troubleshoot, first make sure your Creative Cloud Desktop app is updated and you are signed in. Next launch Premiere Pro and sign out and sign back in to Premiere. Next try to open your particular project.
In case you still get the same error, check your hosts file (hosts file location: C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc).
Let me know the outcome.
Thanks!

BB Tour - freezes when i go into menu, camera issues
Hello. I've had my BB Tour 9630 for about one month. It was working fine until this morning I saw the camera app open and a pic was taken without me even touching my phone! After that, I tried scrolling around and found that the first screen is ok, I can scroll all ways and click on items but once I click on them and another screen comes up, I can't open anything. Same thing happens when I click on "menu" it opens but I can't even scroll to other icons, nevermind click on anything. Help! I've already tried removing the battery and chip for over 10 minutes so I don't know what else to do!
Thank youHello,

Why does Premiere freeze when I unplug my headphones?
I use a Windows PC, Windows 7. When I am working on a project and plug my headphones in, the sound will not come from the headphones, but my speakers. I fix this by clicking on the sound icon in the taskbar and click on the headphones volume. Then, when I unplug the headphones (to let others watch) Premiere becomes unresponsive. I have to literally start the program over to watch in via speaker sound. Anyone else run into this issue?

Premiere freezes when trying to add media to the timeline.
Dxdiag:
I start up Premiere.
I import a file via File > Import...
I drag the file but it doesn't move and causes the program to freeze.
I have updated all my drivers already and this has been going on for the past 6 months but now I need the program for my next class.Apparently iTunes froze because of an .m3u file that was in the folder. The icon for the .m3u file was the same as the .mp3 files and I hadn't noticed it until I attempted to play the file as a last resort to add the music to iTunes.
