Premiere hangs when it cant find cache files

Hi all,
My question:
How do I force premiere to open my projects without searching endlessly for cache files?
If this cant be done:
What is the best way to create a network based central cache folder from which multiple users can draw from. (the problem of course is the potential for this file to grow exponentially)
Background
9 times out of 10 when I attempt to load my premiere projects off the network, the load bar will reach just about 95% and hang for an eternity. We have identified that our company bandwidth was getting a bit overloaded but I think another issue has reared its ugly head.
Our company stores all premiere files and related footage on the network to allow for easy access from many users. However, when a user who did not create a certain project attempts to open it on their desktop, the same loading problem comes up. It appears that if I push my cache files to the network, point premiere to that folder, the file loads rather quickyl (indexing aside).
So can I force premiere to give up on a hopeless search of the local computer for cache files and if not, how can I create an organized system where many users can pull from the same cache folder. You will notice, if i simply create a central folder the following will take place:
The folder will grow
I will have to wipe it
files will stop loading while premiere desperatly attempts to find non existant cache files.

Excel cant find this file when double clicking to open

Hi,
Our Imacs 10.8.2 and 10.7.3 joined to windows 2008 domain cant open certain excel files from the network share. When double clicking the file or opening from excel -> file open it says it cant find the file. If I drag the file to the desktop then it will open when double clicked. I have tried disconnecting the network drive and reconnecting. I checked permissions and even tried a few cleaner products such as mac keeper and ccleaner and still the same issue. I even upgraded one of the macs from 10.6.8 to 10.7.3 and the issue persisted. Its very strange as some users can open but others cant. Any insight greatly appreciated.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
See [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]] and [[Troubleshooting plugins]]
If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
You can use "Disable all add-ons" on the ''Safe mode'' start window.
You have to close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (on Mac: "Firefox > Quit")

Cant find the file for approval

Hi Guys,
I have selected service application tool package for download.it requires approval which is to be done in MOPZ.
When i login to our solman i cant find the file for approval in MOPZ.
steps that i follow
1. Tcode DSWP.
2 go to change mdmt
3 select Maintanence optimize.
I cant find the file to approve.
Do i need to create a new maintaince tcode...?

Please make sure that the S user password is not in initial state. Please also make sure that you can login with no issues in the SAP Service Marketplace , and that the 'authorization test' for SAP-OSS works OK.
I am not sure about when you report the error message as: "Logon information is not write." . What do you mean?
Also, you say that you go to DSWP and the file is not there to approve. The correct way to approve files from Maintenance Optimizer when downloading manually, is to create the Maintenance Optimizer document, then choose the manual selection option, then select the files from within Maintenance Optimizer, and then proceed with the download from Maintenance Optimizer.

Not possible. Safari won't download and save a Zip file. You either had to use a 3rd party app, or as wjosten suggests, your phone is jailbroken. If the former, you'll need to use that app to find it. If the latter, you'll have to look elsewhere for assistance.

You get exclamation marks or dead tracks because iTunes can’t find the file. This can happen for a number of reasons:
The song file or a folder in its path was renamed
The song file or the folder it is in has been moved
The song file has been deleted
The device containing the song files e.g. external drive is not accessible or the drive letter has changed.
If you use an external drive, a change in drive letter is a common cause and you need to change it back.
AS a way of working out what has happened, right click on a track and select the summary tab (you will have to go past an error message). The summary tab will tell you where iTunes thinks the track is located. How does that compare with where the track actually is?
The xml library file is not used by iTunes, it is created to allow other programs to access the library. You can recreate the iTl file from the xml file, but there is no point if the location of the files is wrong.
There is a simple way of getting you music back in iTunes, but it loses all playlists counts and rating. To do this drag iTunes library.itl and iTunes Library.xml to your desktop. Then open iTunes and an empty library is created. Add you iTunes Media folder to it.
If you can't work out what went wrong and how to fix it, you may have to do this.

Lightroom hangs when attempting to import RAW files from D750

Hi guys,
I purchased lightroom 5 sometime back to install on multiple platforms. Recently did an update on my macbook and it was able to read the NEF files from D750.
However when I installed lightroom 5 on my iMac, the prog keeps hanging when I attempt to import files from the D750. Other NEF files from my D700 were ok.
Anyone knows why?

Could be a hardware issue
Make sure the cable connection to the D750 is properly connected. Also, if possible try using a card reader. Or vice versa.

i want to create plugin for adobe indesign cs2. i installed 4.0.2 sdk and 4.0.3 sdk in my mac 10.4.8 machine. for use the code warrior i search for .mcp files inside the sdk folders i cant find any file has such extension. how to get the file with .mcp extension?

Don't waste your time trying to edit wordpress template. You just have to login to your wordpress account and edit the template from within it.
The reason DW can't find the file is because the file is called index.php (NOT index.html OR index.htm) Wordpress uses php and mysql database and trying to edit [pages in DW is completely stu***. I don't want to use this word here just in case some people have sore nerves.

Cant find install file

Was in the middle of installing adobe master collection (Trial) and it froze. I restarted my machine but cant find the install file. I was using the assistant manager does this mean i need to download the whole thing again or is in in a cache memory folder? Some of the applications have installed and some are have not. What is the best way to clean this up?
The install file is not in the download folder.
Do I delete all the files and start again?
Is there a cache folder with a file i can click to continue the download?

I apologize for the delay in my response, I wanted to make sure I had done all my research before responding.
In doing my research and consulting with a few colleagues I've found a few interesting things in regards to the software for your printer with Windows 8.1. This printer's software for Windows 8.1 was released in October of 2012 when Windows 8 was in it's Beta phase (meaning it hadn't been fully released yet as they were still testing it). The driver's have not been updated since then (and most likely will not be updated). Most things for Windows 8 work fine on 8.1 but as you can see in this case, it doesn't want to work and I don't think it will. Essentially this is like trying to put a 1970's car engine in a 2010 car. It might work for a bit, but the chances of getting far are slim.
At this point I would recommend upgrading your printer. If you would like to stay with HP, you can call HP Tech Support for your area and inquire about the trade in and trade up program.
I apologize that I didn't come across this information sooner, but I hope this answers why you haven't been able to get things to work right. Thank you for working with me, and I hope you're having a good week!

No - the Download Assistant usually mounts the disc image - I don't recall actually seeing the desktop icon when I installed CS6 Design & Web Premium (may have been there).
The strange thing about this is that the download has to occur before the DA starts installing - and it's usually always placed in the Downloads folder unless the user has specified a different folder for downloads via the browser prefs... could that be the case?
OP - download EasyFind and search for .dmg - look for the 'kind' dmg. See if you can find the Master Collection dmg image this way (I had about 50 hits, but only about 35 were actually dmg disk images).
Good luck - I don't envy you having to download it again - maybe this way you can find it...

CFCACHE IN CF9 - Cant find cached pages!

I have used CFCACHE in prior versions of CF and the cached page would be kept in the directory I specified.
Now when I use the tag in CF9 the page appears to be cached but I can find any cached pages in the directory I specified????
Here is my code:

The page appears to be cached as it loads quickly but I cant find where CF puts the cached version.
This is a problem because when I need to flush the cache I dont know which directory to flush.
Any idea where my cached pages are?

If you want to cache to disk instead of to memory (which won't be as fast as caching to memory), I think you have to include the "directory" attribute, and specify the absolute path to the directory you wish to cache the content in.

GB3 BUG or 10.4.4 BUG or BOTH Bugged! cant find Audio Files (APPLE READ)

my set ups; G5 QUAD 4GB OS X.4.4 GB 3.0 same exact GB song
G5 2.5DP 2.5GB RAM OS x.3.9 GB 2.02 same song
when i load some GB2 songs done on OS 10.3.9 into new up to date set up the QUAD with GB 3.0 and 10.4.4 i get this message while the song is loading alot ( one example )

Audio file "Brass fall Sh 2 C#.AIF" not found, yet it is there in the sampler files of the Gb 3 folder as well as in the Gb 2 folder on both computers. These are software instruments that when clicked on ( in track ) are silent. double click and they open up in the new GB3 track info window and are silent. apparently for some reason in

Yes I have the same issue and have had it occur whenever I upgrade and clone my hardrive. Everything else works but random loops are 'lost' from existing songs even when the track is saved as an archive. I am using GB 2 and OS 10.3.9
I've noted it occurs with
1) loops that I edit and use just a portion of
2) loops with filenames longer than 32 characters
I've also noted that while 32+ character named loops appear correctly in the loop browser they do not appear with the full name when dragged into a track. There they appear in the trunicated garbaged ending. Note that this is EXACTLY what long file names look like when viewd in OS 9 which has a 32 character limit. So what does that mean?
I'm just sick of every time I upgrade a hardrive and clone the drive having to check each and every song and then manually tinker with those who suddenly cant find the loops within them. Everything else works so what is breaking in GB?
