Premiere Pro 2.0 compatible with Windows 7 Pro?

I have just upgraded my computer to Windows 7 Pro 64 bit. I have installed Premiere Pro 2.0 with no problem. Only problem I have faced is there is no sound. I can play the file in Windows Media Player fine.
Is there anything I could do?
Many thanks beforehand,
Anna

Anna,
Great.
With Audio, there are many places to look, and a few of them a bit deeper into dialog boxes. Also, besides PrPro, one also needs things set up properly at a system level. That is why I did that article, so that one could check off each place, and then all of the various settings.
Glad to have helped you locate the "magic place."
Good luck,
Hunt

  • Premiere Pro 2.0 Compatible with Windows 7?

Can anyone tell me if Premiere Pro 2.0 for Windows is compatible with Windows 7 Home Premium?

    Hi.
I know this question was answered but I have an additional one.
I'm also running Premiere Pro 2.0 on a Windows 7 64 bit machine. All works fine except exporting to DVD. I get the following error: "No DVD burners
detected". I also, get this in Encore. My DVD works fine in everything else. The Adobe tech guys think it's the 64 bit thing and say all I can do is buy the upgrade ($299).
Is there a way to run this in compatibility mode? I have Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit. (came loaded on the computer).
I hate to spend additional money if there is a work around or a fix for this issue.
If you would like to email me directly, you can send it to [email protected]
    Thanks for the help.

  • Is there an update to make Acrobat Pro 6.0 compatible with Windows 7?

I have been using Adobe Acrobat Professional 6.0 on a Windows XP OS, but as of 4/8/2014 XP is no longer supported. So, I did Easy Transfer from XP to a computer using Windows 7. When I installed my Adobe Acrobat Professional 6.0 software on the Windows 7 computer, I received a message that it was not compatible with Windows 7. Is there an update or work around that will allow me to use the 6.0 version with my Windows 7 computer?  This is software I've used daily for years and need it, but can't afford to buy new version right now. Any help would be appreciated.

I am suggesting you keep the XP computer permanently disconnected, and have your new computer connected to the internet. You can move files between them with a memory stick.
(Worth considering that Windows is not the only thing with security issues which need fixing. By continuing to run an old Acrobat you have been deprived of security patches for many years. Only Acrobat X and XI are in the "currently supported" category. You should consider this carefully for all your apps, the bad guys could attack ANYTHING.)

  • Is Adobe Premiere Elements 7 also compatible with Windows 7?

I have bought some months before Premiere Elements 7...
is it compatible with Windows 7??

    Hi Bob,
I had the same problems with video capturing with Windows 7 and Premiere Elements 7 and 8.
The problem is not with Premiere Elements, but with the Firewire driver in Windows 7.
I wrote and article on it and have it posted on our web site.   Here is the link to it and
it explains step by step how to fix the problem.

  • Premiere Pro 1.0 compatible with Windows 7?

I have been a Premiere 6.5 user with Windows XP for several years. I just bought a new pc and thought I would install an old copy of Premiere Pro I had lying around. The program has installed fine but I am unable to capture video from my HDV deck & when I scrub the timeline I get no playback through the deck at all, although I can control the deck. I am using the firewire card that came with the PC.
Could this be a compatibility issue with the Windows 7 (64 bit) or perhaps a firewire issue?
I have searched for the answer online but there is very little information about Premiere Pro before CS3. I even thought there may be an upgrade available but so far I have found no solutions.
    PLEASE HELP!!!!
    Many thanks,

Thanks very much for your reply. I did actually spend the whole day yesterday searching the forums for a solution, and found some tips. The main advice was to change the 1394 controller or update the drivers, but as this a brand new pc I don't want to open it up and invalidate the warranty. Also as it's new I was hoping everything would be up to date and working fine!
Do you happen to know if this early version of PRO will support HDV? My deck is a Sony HD and the original footage was shot in HD. It has always worked Ok with Premiere 6.5 on XP so I am sure there should be no conflicts?
I am close to giving up and purchasing CS5, would you advise this, or an older version perhaps? Might I find the same problem occuring?
Thanks again, I really do appreciate your advice.

    Hello Jason.
Print and scan drivers for your HP OfficeJet Pro 8500 are already included as part of the Windows 8 Consumer Preview.  You should be able to print and scan by simply connecting your OfficeJet to your pc.
    Have a nice day!

  • Standard and Pro versions compatible with Windows 7

    Hello
I am looking for a list of Adobe Acrobat Standard and Adobe Acrobat Pro that are compatible with Windows 7. We are upgrading over 1000 computers to Windows 7 and we have many different versions of Adobe Acrobat writer Stndard and Pro.
    Thanks

There are also issues with 32 vs 64-bit systems. The latter requires updating your version in general. Generally the initial releases have not worked in the 54-bit environment. There are many driver issues with 64-bit systems and probably should look carefully if 64-bits are needed. The 64-bit system is useful if you are computationally focused, but may not be much of an advantage in standard office environments. Just be careful. If you are installing OFFICE 2010, then you need AAX for PDF Maker compatibility -- prior versions of Acrobat only allow printing from the OFFICE 2010 suite. Some folks have been successful with AA8 on 32-bit Win7 (I have only seen 1 post that would suggest success with 64-bit Win7). Prior versions of Acrobat can be made to work on 32-bit Win7 systems, but require work arounds (i.e., the AcroTray tool that automates the conversion to PDF process fails in Win7). The 64-bit system will probably fail for most of the earlier versions in such cases.
Realize that you may have to deal with Win8 shortly that has it's own issues.

  • What writer programs are compatible with XP Pro and windows 7?

I want to go from Adobe 4.0 Writer to more current versions, but I see that v9.0 Pro is not compatible with Windows 7.
I need to be able to copy from pdfs to word or excel and have it correctly populated.  I do a lot of work with Excel and need this ability.  I can do it with v7.0 but that is not my copy and I do not like the way a document prints to the PDF file because it crops the data.

By the way since I needed to call Adobe support they informed me they have none of their Adobe Acrobat programs are compatible with Windows 7.
    I think they misinformed you.
Did you ask in the Acrobat forum?
Generally the forum people know more than Adobe's outsourced support department.

  • Is Photoshop elements 10 and Premiere elements 10 compatible with windows 8.1?

Is photoshop elements 10 and premiere elements 10 compatible with windows 8.1?  I am upgrading from XP and am trying to determine if I should go to 8.1 or windows 7?

    MakoM
Photoshop Elements 10 and Premiere Elements 10 are compatible with Windows 8 or 8.1 64 bit. I have them installed on those operating systems and no problems. My video card is Intel HD Graphics.
But, a major question is what video card will be used? There is a major issue with Premiere Elements 10 users whose computers use a NVIDIA GeForce video card. It is fixed by rolling back the driver to about May 2013. This is a user to user fix. Neither NVIDIA nor Adobe has offered one. • Can I get my GTX 670 card to be compatible with Prem Pro CC and Speedgrade cc on my windows machine?

Can I get my GTX 670 card to be compatible with Prem Pro CC and Speedgrade cc on my windows machine?

No need to hack anything in CC:
"(...) This is no longer necessary in Premiere Pro CC. As long as you have a reasonably modern card with at least 1GB of VRAM, you will still be able to enable that card in the Project Settings dialog. A warning message will appear letting you know that your card has not been certified by Adobe, but once that dialog is clicked through you can use your GPU."
    See details here:

AFAIK SpeedGrade uses CUDA and/or OpenCL depending on availability, so no type or model white-list, with this one limitation only for Direct Link on Mac: only NVIDIA OpenCL is supported (NVIDIA CUDA and AMD OpenCL are not currently available with Direct Link on the Mac platform).
