Premiere Pro 6 keeps hanging or crashing on export

I'm trying to export a file, but it keeps crashing around 15% and 16%.  It's not the files located there, as I've been able to export that section fine on it's own. I've tried several different formats (H264, Quicktime, Timeline Match), with no success. Earlier today I was able to export a low res version, but I need a higher res version as well. The sequence is 18 mins long, contains a mixture of .mov and .mp4 files (it's a docu-collage), and like I said I didn't have any trouble with the low res version.
Sometimes it hangs, sometimes it crashes. When it hangs and I cancel the export, if I go back to the timeline and try to view the .mov files I get "media pending," but the media never displays and I have to restart.
Here's the error report code when it crashes:

Just brainstorming:
1: Are you exporting straight from Premiere or queuing to AME? Same both ways?
2: Media Pending after crash. This could be a harddrive issue. Check your power options and choose "never shutdown harddisks" etc and possibly try moving your footage on another drive.
Crashing encodes are really annoying. Good luck!

  • Adobe Premiere Pro CC / Media Encoder CC Crashing On Export

    Hi,
I have a 1 hour project consisting of
    - iPhone 5 Video clips recorded at 1080p/30fps using app FilmicPro
    - Various Image files, imported as PSD's
    - WAV Sound files
    My Sequence Settings are:
    Export Settings are:
As you can tell by the file name, i already installed ALL updates.
I just installed a new graphics card (GTX 770) a few days ago, but these crashes were happening before i installed the card, and now after I've installed it, so it's not related at all (before i was just using my CPU (Intel HD 4600). (At the moment I have CUDA enabled).
    Full Specs
    - Windows 8.1 Pro
    - Adobe Premiere Pro 7.2.2
    - Adobe Media Encoder 7.2.2
    - Intel i7 4770k
    - 8GB RAM
    - NVidia GTX 770
The crashes always happen at the exact same place on both Premiere Export and Media Encoder, no idea what's causing it, I've played around with the settings and managed to export it a few times but not at the quality I want. If i render my entire sequence preview's first, and then export using preview files then it exports fine using MPEG Preview. Not exactly the format/quality I want though, if there is anything i have missed out then please ask, I do intend to check the boxes for Maximum Bit Depth and Maximum Render Quality
    P.S. I have already tried
    A) Clear Media Cache
    B) Reinstall Premiere/Media Encoder
    C) Change Location of Project Files
    Thanks,
    Jay

    Hi Jay Singh,
Thanks for posting on Adobe forums.
Please try to check the resolution on the PSDs in the Project. and Make sure that the resolution should not exceed more than 1920*1080. This is could be the issue on crash on export.
Let us know if this will help.
    Happy Editing,
    Sandeep

  • Premiere Pro and Media Encoder CC Crash when exporting to h.264...

Anybody have any idea why something like this might happen?
Also, our adobe creative cloud download center that is linked to our desktop doesn't show up anymore. The frame for it initializes but there are no options in it and the settings panel won't even let us log in.
    Very confused.

Can't help with the Cloud questions... but Premiere Pro has a dedicated forum http://forums.adobe.com/community/premiere?view=discussions

  • Premiere Pro CC keeps crashing upon opening

My premiere pro CC keeps crashing upon opening.  I'm using a Dell Latitude 3340.  I keep getting this message above.  I've updated my video card, logged out and back into creative cloud, tried deleting preferences, and a few other things.  Any idea how to help?
    Thanks,

    Hi,
Which Graphics card is installed on your computer? Please open Event Viewer and paste the detailed error log for Premiere here so that we can suggest further steps.
    Thanks,

  • Premiere Pro cc14 keeps crashing... Yes, for me too.

Premiere Pro cc14 keeps crashing, freezing and I keep having to force quit it, start again, and then after another little while (5-10min) - it does it again and again and again and again... you get the drift.
I am on a MacBook Pro retina.
Specs are like those or better that those recommended for the software so I doubt it's a machine problem.
    But in a nutshell:
SSD (500gb with over 50gb available)
    8gb Ram
NVIDIA graphics card (one of the recommended ones for Mac for this software)  - Updated the CUDA driver and thought it was going to resolve the issue but it didn't (1gb)
    2.6ghz intel core i7 processor
Working on Mark3 footage off a usb3 harddrive (which I always do and this never has been a problem ever before).
This is unacceptable considering this is a service we pay, we are a professional boutique filmmaking business and we cannot work in those conditions.
Thought it was the computer, turns out it's most likely your software! So please a fix that WORKS is needed.
    Thoughts? Advice?
Thinking of going back to normal CC which was working just fine... but need to see this project through for now as you can't save the project for a previous version of PP (nice one!)

    stephbubble,
I was talking about the Intel Graphics Card. Please check if you have an Intel Graphics Card alongside the NVIDIA Graphics Card. Have you tried that Graphics Switching option?
If that doesn't help, try this:
    Go to the following locations:
Location 1: When in Finder, click on Go > Go to Folder > ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe
    Location 2: Go > Go to Folder > ~/Library/Preferences/Adobe
    Location 3: Documents > Adobe
In all the locations, rename the 'Adobe' folders to 'OldAdobe'
Launch Premiere, accept the License Agreement and see if it works.
Note: You will lose your customized workspaces and keyboard shortcuts.
    Thanks,
    Rameez

  • Premiere Pro cc 2014 8.2 crashing

I’ve been working on a documentary with several types of footage/stills.  Crashes have become more frequent as I get further into the project.  Lately it’s been freezing up to the point where I have to force quit and I’ve also gotten the “Sorry, a serious error has occurred” where it has to restore the file.  It's also happening with a new project file which has only one type of footage in it.
My machine’s getting old and I plan on replacing it soon but it still works fine with FCP7, Avid, After Effects, etc. Here are the specs:
2.8 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
    4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3
    NVIDIA GeForce 9400M 256 MB
Footage is on an external Glyph drive 2TB
    MacBook Pro mid-2009
    OSX 10.9.5
    Here’s what I’ve tried:
-I made sure my Adobe folder preferences are set to read/write.
-I’ve tried recreating the preference file (ctr+alt+shift) several times while starting the program. This seemed to help the first time I tried it but then it started crashing again and eventually gave me the “Sorry, a serious error has occurred” message again.
    -I’ve cleaned the media cache
-The only plugin I have installed is FinalPlug (a compressor) but I haven’t been using it and don’t see that anyone’s listed it as being problematic with PP CC, so I haven’t uninstalled it.
Should I update the video driver? Can anyone advise me on how to do that?
    Thanks!

Hi, I have something similar to this happening to me. Does a crash report box also pop up for you? I get one, but it's for Apple, not Adobe. I  didn't have my problem until getting a new Mac with Yosemite installed, so it shouldn't be your machine's age.

Final Cut Pro X 10.0.03 crashes on export. What can I do?

    PROBLEM SOVED.
    1. From "show project library" under Window, highlight the project in question.
    2. Under file, select "delete project render files."
    3. Choose delete "all project render files."
    4. Close down FCP X and relaunch.
    5. under Final Cut Pro go to "preferences" and make sure "background render is checked."
    6. Load project into the timeline.
    7. Alow FCP X to render the entire project without interuption. Make sure all other applications are shut down and that "energy saver" is turned off under Apple "system preferences."
Export worked smoothly and quickly without shutting down. Thanks for all of your help and tenacity Ian.

  • Premiere Pro CC keeps crashing

we recently updated to CC from CS6.  In CS6 we had no problem editing.  Now however we have editors constantly having premiere stop working and hanging.  There really is no rhyme or reason to the crashing.  They can be importing files, they can be exporting files, or just working on the timeline and out of the clear blue their screen goes light and adobe premiere has stopped working message adorns their screen.  the machines that we are using are...
    1) Dell Precision t5500 with Xeon x5660 processor, 12 gb ram, Nvidia Quadro 4000 video card and windows 7 pro x64

  • Premiere Pro CC keeps CRASHING - Mac

Premiere Pro has been crashing for over a year. Even before I upgraded to CC.
Sometimes it will crash more than 5 times in 10 minutes. Longest it has run is just under an hour without crashing.
Everytime it crashes it says "Sorry, a serious error has occurred that requires Adobe Premiere Pro to shut down. We will attempt to save your project."
Now I am editing a project trying to import an AAF file and it keeps crashing on import.
I have done a full uninstall, used CC Cleaner. Reinstalled and it still crashes.
The log I get from the crash is massive but happy to paste it here if it helps. Let me know.

I just downloaded for the first time, so it's completely up to date.  But the application keeps crashing!  Every time I look at the source files, or when I get to a certain point in the video editing (dragging a clip down to the sequence board), it freezes up and kicks me out of the Application.  I get the following error message.  Please help!

"Devenum.dll"  Change your rendering engine from GPU to software.  Project Settings, General, Video Rendering and Playback.  See if that helps.

  • Premiere Pro cs6 keeps crashing when im editing or rendering a video

When I am on Adobe Premiere Pro cs6 every 10-20 mins it crashes when im editing a video, it crashes more often when im rendering it (export media, ctrl+M). I dont mind when it crashes while im editing because i save the file regularly but when im rendering its a problem, it probably because the file is too big as i use dxtory to record skyrim but this is an expensive product so it should be able to render. I encode the file once ive chosen the format and stuff for the video and it says finish rendering in 50 mins or so and when it gets to like 4% rendering it says not responding. It then troubleshoots but then says 'close program'. this is very frustrating, please can someone help me. I've looked through the forums but i dont uinderstand many of the solutions as im not that good at computers
