Premiere Pro CC 2014 - Black flickering lines during playback and when exporting video

I am fairly new to Premiere and have recently started using creative cloud on my new MacBook Pro retina - 2.3 GHz Intel Core i7 - 16GB Memory - OSX Version 10.9.4
I shot a music video using my friends camera and all the shots were absolutely fine, I dropped them into Premiere and started editing the video together.
Some of the clips are perfectly fine during playback, although sometimes my playback stutters a little, but some of the clips have strange horizontal lines that flash through them when I watch it back. I have only used basic things such as the highlight/shadow and sharpen tools in Premiere. I thought that it maybe fine once I exported the video but when I open up the exported file on my desktop in Quicktime the little black flashes/glitches are still there in some of the shots.
Here is a screenshot you can see a line halfway between the top of my head and the top of the screen, when you watch the video there are lots of these flashing about.
Could this be something that I have set up wrong?

Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2014 Black Screen

Hello, My Premerie Pro CC 2014 doesn't work when I open it. It starts up with the loading screen, then goes all the way to the bottom of the screen, and just shows a black screen with the File, Edit, Clip, Sequence, Marker, Title, Window and help on top. Althogh when I click on premiere pro's File, Edit Ect; Or black screen it just makes the ding sound. So I can't use it. It's very very annoying, Please someone respond I'll have a Screen shot below. Premiere Pro CC 2014 Crashing with rendering, freezing system, and more

Hello,
I'm having some serious issues with Premiere pro on my late 2013 iMac.
OSX 10.9.5
3.2GHz Intel Core i5
16GB 1600 MHz DDR3
NVIDIA FeForce GT 755M 1024MB
I'm working in 1920x1080 23.976fps. Media files are from sony FS700 .MTS and Cannon 5DmkIII .mov
Multiple times per day, PP crashes on me. It all started when I was getting really choppy playback which would be accompanied by this error message:
A Low Level Exception has occurred in ImporterMPEG (Importer)
This would soon after lead to the program freezing and me having to force quit the program. After contacting Adobe the first time about this persistent issue, the tech explained to me that it was a "Memory Leak" issue and that there was nothing that could be done. After the support team member ended our chat online before helping me solve my issue, I called support. I provided my case number and this person picked up where the helplessly left me and did the typical Adobe one fix all: He went into the hidden library and cleared all of my preferences, removed any third party plugins, and cleared the files in the root applications Adobe folder, renamed a folder "Adobe.Old" etc.
As I explained to the support team member on the phone, this is not a solution but rather a bandaid until it happens again.
Low and behold it has happened again. This time the support team member had me create a new System Administrator account on my computer thinking that there was a permissions problem with my other account which was conflicting with PPCC2014. While this was a major pain to switch between the new account and any other program that I had set up for day to day work, it allowed me to continue editing and at least (at a less efficient rate) get things done.
Now, while using my new System Administrator account, I am getting terrible crashes that not only stall the program, but force me to hard re-boot my computer. These crashes are accompanied by a terrifying looking screen that I was only able to capture once.
They've only become more intimidating as now I cant even see the program when this happens, but this is the only screen capture that did not turn out completely black.
I'm looking to see if anyone has had any extreme issues like this and if so how they were able to fix it. I've now spent 6+ hours with support and after the last one was told I would receive a personal email follow up by the end of the day (never happened) to take further actions based on the performance after the new account creation.
I need help. Now.

First of all, try this: Re: A low level exception occured in: Importer MPEG (Importer)
Next, make sure that if you updated OS X to 10.9.x, or later, you must check the following each time you update: Premiere Pro CC, CC 2014, or 2014.1 freezing on startup or crashing while working (Mac OS X 10.9, and later)
Other things to try:
Sign out from Creative Cloud, restart Premiere Pro, then sign in
Update any GPU drivers
Trash preferences
Delete media cache
Remove plug-ins
Repair permissions
Disconnect any third party hardware
Remove QT components from Mac HD > Library > QuickTime
If you have a CUDA GPU, ensure that the Mercury Playback Engine is set to CUDA, not OpenCL
Disable App Nap
Reboot
Report back if anything here worked for you.

Problem with Premiere Pro new actualization - Black screen on all playbacks - HACKINTOSH user

Hi guys, please help me!!!
I installed the new version of Adobe Premiere Pro CC version (8.1) and now the software open the older projects, but the playback does not work, its all black, both of them (source and monitor). After effects works fine.
I already try to re-installed CC, cleaned cash, but same happens. When i move the dimension line to customize my workspace, a crash occurs, looks like an error.

Premiere Pro CC freezes on a frame during playback, but audio keeps playing?

First time poster, long time visitor to the boards. Running a new Mac "Pony Keg" (I think calling it a "trash can" invites bad performance ) with OSX 10.9.5. Here's a recurring issue: I am playing back a sequence and then it will freeze on a frame (different everytime) and the audio keeps playing. I can stop the playback and it will continue to play, but the frame is locked in. Next, I'll quit out of the app, and try to reopen, but nothing happens because Premiere never actually quit. I'll pull up Force Quit window and it reads as "not responding." I'll Force Quit, relaunch the project and things will work again for a while, and then I need to do a whole reboot. Any thoughts on what might be causing this freeze frame issue or why Premiere won't actually quit? I've seen these posts in some various threads, but not these two issues in the same thread. Thanks in advance for any help and insights offered!

I would suggest these things:
Do this first: Premiere Pro CC, CC 2014, or 2014.1 freezing on startup or crashing while working (Mac OS X 10.9, and later)
If that doesn't help, Change the Video Renderer to Mercury Playback Engine software only under File > Project settings > General. Delete previews after clicking on OK.
If nothing helps, try this:
Go to the following locations:
Location 1: When in Finder, click on Go > Go to Folder > ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe
Location 2: Go > Go to Folder > ~/Library/Preferences/Adobe
Location 3: Documents > Adobe
In all the locations, rename the 'Adobe' folders to 'OldAdobe'
Launch Premiere, accept the License Agreement and see if it works.
Note: You will lose your customized workspaces, keyboard shortcuts and media cache.

Premiere pro cc 2014 black screen or "media offline"

Almost impossible to do much work in Premiere CC 2014. I use 3 machines in business and Premiere doesn't work with any of them for long. I can be editing fine for about an hour then suddenly my program monitor goes black or says media offline. The only way I can get it back is to reboot about 4-5 times before the project will load again. This happens regardless of where the media is stored, what version of Mac OS is used, or what plugins are used. Anybody else experiencing this?

Hey John! Thanks for the help! So far I've encountered the issue on three different macs. Two are stock iMacs so some AMD chip. The third and least problematic is a desktop running a GTX 780 with CUDA 6.0.46. I will have to check on the two iMacs on Monday... I'm updating the Cuda for the desktop to see if that changes anything.

Premiere Pro CC 2014 problems time line

I installed the new version of Premiere, DC 2014. (system win7_64 , i7-3960x, SSD, Nvidia 4000 driver 331.82)
The tim line presents an anomaly (see attached photo)
The playback head and the time marker are not aligned. The deviation is about 5 tenths of a second and increases moving the head from the beginning to the end of the time line window. At the beginning of the window (time-independent) the difference is imperceptible, increases towards the end of the window.

I verified that the deviation between the playback head and temporal marker is only in the panel time line and not in the panel control effects.

Premiere Pro CC 8.2.0 Hanging During Playback

Hi there,
On of our editors has been experiencing Premiere hanging up on them multiple times a day during very basic actions like copying small clips or playback. The project she's working on is a 2 hour feature around 65MB with all ProRes footage on a file sharing server connected via 10GbE with the project file and media cache located locally. The editing station is a 2014 iMac with 4GHz i7 and 32GB RAM. I'm not too knowledgeable about Premiere but am wondering if there are also some settings or changes to their workflow that could optimize working with this project. There are tons of audio and video layers in the project and I'm wondering if that could be affecting performance? Again, I'm no expert but any thoughts as to why this is happening would be a huge help!

Are the latest premiere pro cc 2014 releases are different on mac and windows?

im trying to work on an edit i started at my studio on a windows machine and now im away iv switched to my macbook laptop and its saying the file i made on my windows machine is newer and wont open
iv got the mac updated to the latest build but they seem to be different....
mac says the latest version is: 8.0.1 (21)
windows says: 8.2.0 (61)
in a bit of a bind. is there a way around this? arent they meant to be interoperable between mac / windows?
any ideas ?

should be the same, you can try updating from the help menu in premiere or using the adobe creative cloud app.

Premiere Pro CC 2014 suddenly choppy or no playback from timeline or preview

Hey folks. The header says it all - can't play back anything smoothly as of this morning.
HP Z820 w/ dual Xeons, nVidia Quadro 4000, 32Mb RAM, 500Gb SSD boot, several internal and external (via USB3) drives.
This is pretty frustrating. One thing to consider is that, due to misconfiguration of a synchronizing program, my C: drive got 100% loaded up over the weekend. I removed the errant files and it now has 45% empty. (Only programs on C:, no media.)
I have updated the nVidia driver, which didn't help at all.
Anyone else seeing this? Thanks -

How old is your SSD? As long, as it has no garbage collector (like the Samsung EVO) and it was heavy in use over last month this really might be the reason. Also external drives can slow down the playback for they are often under 7200rpm or don't deliver full speed via usb 3 for some reasons as I have experienced...

Premiere Pro CC 2014 crashes when loading project file

Hi guys, any help on this is much appreciated as I have a job due in 18 hours and I'm in big trouble if I can't fix this.
I've been editing a project in Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2014 (updated to the latest version) and when I tried to access the same file today it is giving me the error message:
'Sorry, a serious error has occurred that requires Adobe Premiere Pro to shut down. We will attempt to save your current project.'
I had saved other version files and they all seem to be working properly so I know it's not my HD that is corrupt. In fact my suspicion is that it has something to do with a blur effect i'm using. The only problem is, I can't even access the file to delete the effect as the project file won't open.
Information about my computer:
I am using a Macbook Pro
OS X version 10.9.4
2.6 Ghz Intel Core i5
Memory 16 GB, 1600 MHz DDR3
Any suggestions/comments would be appreciated.

Guys I solved my own problem - thought I'd share with you how in case anyone else is having this problem -

"Do tou have after effects installed? If yes, please try to import the main sequence into it and then export it as premier pro project from file/export ootion and then try to open that in premiere pro."
This didn't work for me too but I did try and import my existing project into a new project and copy all the files over. Works fine now.
I don't know if I will have the same issue again tomorrow so I'm going to render out a super high res video before I close premiere just in case

Premiere Pro CC 2014 and Media Encoder CC 2014 not completing encode.

This is a project that I have been successfully encoding in short segments until now. Now when encoding, session runs about 10-15 minutes and then ends without error messages.
Removing effects and changing to Mercury PB Engine SW did not help.
Also tried disabling metadata as suggested in another forum.
When CUDA used, logged as "Encoding failed." When Mercury SW used, logged as "File Successfully Encoded" even though video file is only 6 KB with no content.

Media Encoder Build 8.1.0.122
Windows 7 Professional
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3770 CPU @ 3.40GHz

The encode will usually go for 5-10 minutes before the programs either spits out a "serious error has occurred" window, or it just sits there frozen until I force quit.
I did find a work-around for the moment. If I open AME and FILE > OPEN, select my project and then the sequence I want, AND put it in Software render mode, it will work.
My timeline is 2K, 58 minutes in 23.976
Only effects applied are Lumetri LUTs - no third party.
I've exported as recently as a week ago without issue.
Running OSX 9.5 on an X99 board
3.75 GHz 8-core
64GB 2400 MHz RAM
EVGA Titan Black 6GB
Because I can get my renders out, I am not too concerned. Either there is something wonky with my timeline that screws with any graphics enabled rendering, or there is a bug that is have the same effect. I will try rendering on another of my edit bays that utilizes a GTX 580 that I KNOW works. The Titan is pretty new to my workflow.

Premiere Pro CC 2014 and Media Encoder CC 2014 Crashing constantly

Running out of options and ideas...
Symptom: Every time I work on any project in Premiere Pro CC 2014 or try to render out in Premiere Pro CC 2014 or Media Encoder CC 2014, the software crashes after 2-3 minutes of use/rendering when the GPU is enabled in Premiere/Media Encoder, or after 5-10 minutes of use/rendering in software only mode. The crash is a software crash, Windows continues to run fine.

I have wiped adobe off the machine and reinstalled - same problem. I have tried projects that crash the machine on other machines and it works fine.
The machine is new, clean install and runs everything else great - 3ds max, high res games, scientific computing - max memory use, etc.
Spec:
5K iMac running bootcamp and Windows 8.1
Intel Core i7-4790K @ 4.0 GHz
32 GB ram
1TB SSD
AMD Radeon R9 M295X 4GB GDDR5
I have used this bootcamp/imac configuration for 5+ years on 3-4 machines and everything has always just worked great. Guess it was my time for a problem, but I'm open to new ideas to try...
Finally - I hope someone from Adobe reads this. I have spent 2 nights on the phone with support. The first night I got an over confident answer that it's a gpu driver issue, just go with software only (no luck - same crashes and different drivers aren't solving the problem). Tonight I was hung up on "by accident" as the agent looked up my video card after waiting 15 minutes to talk to someone, only to be hung up on a second time while on hold after calling back and waiting 20 minutes (because I assume the Adobe call center closed). No message to say so, just hung up on. An overall very disappointing experience.

Premiere Pro CC 2014 and Medie Encoder CC 2014 problem

Every time that I am willing to export my project my Premiere Pro CC 2014 stop responding all together. I tried the short cut (Commend+M) or going through the Manu bar. the result is the same, Premiere Pro CC 2014 just freezes and does not respond to anything till I force quit it and restart it allover again. I tried exporting from Premiere Pro it self, without using Media Encoder, but the problem remains the same.
I am using the new Mac Pro. I heard Adobe Premiere Pro is experiencing problems with the New Mac Pro. Is that true? Or is there other issue?

Premiere Pro CC 2014 won't launch on new Macbook Pro

As if Adobe's issues with my new Mac Pro weren't enough, I can't even get Premiere Pro 2014 to launch on my 2 day old, top of the line laptop. I searched this online with no answers in the forums on either this site or Creative Cow.
Everything is updated. Freshly installed Premiere Pro CC 2014 via the Creative Cloud App. When I launch the App, I get the initial screen with the beach ball and it never opens. My Macbook Pro's fan goes haywire, and no other apps will work (including activity monitor). I have to manually hold down the power button & force shutdown every time.
I was going to finish up some edits at home over the weekend, but now I have to go back to the office on Sunday & work on my other troubled system. Sooooooooo over these issues with Premeire Pro. Help?
