Premiere Pro CS 4  Video abspiele

  • Premiere Pro CS3: bad video quality when exporting for YouTube

    Hi!
I'm a newbie to this forum and yes, I've looked for an answer before posting. I'm also pretty new to Premiere Pro and I hope that the problem I'm having is more my fault than Premiere's (it most likely is.)
I have project, a little YouTube-Video. But whenever I export it, the quality is really poor. I've also tried rendering it with Windows Movie maker and, strangely enough, the quality is much better and closer to the original file. My big question is: what am I doing wrong?
    Here are some additional info:
    Adobe Premiere Pro CS3
Windows 7 Professional, 32 Bit (PC)
The movie file was shot with a Sony DSC-W170 and is an .mpg file
    Video:
    640x480
    10418kBit/s (total: 10483 kBit/s)
    30fps
    Audio:
    64kBit/s
    Mono
    32kHZ
    Project settings: DV-Pal
    Standard-PAL-Video (4:3 Interlaced).
    48 kHz (16 Bit) Audio
I used the Adobe Media Encoder for the export, H.264/YouTube. I've also tried several other settings, but I never get as good a result as with the Windows Movie maker. Can anyone please tell me how I can fix this? (Maybe the quality of the video already suffers when I import the files into Premiere Pro? The video in the source and the cutting window is very blurry.)
Here you can see for yourself what it looks like:
File rendered with Adobe Premiere CS3: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LTAyx6O27Dg
File rendered with Windows Movie Maker: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AVeoUOfM_uo&feature=youtu.be
I hope somebody can help me. If you need additional info which I haven't provided, ask away. Thank you so much in advance for your replies!

    YT is set to privet.
Keep project settings and export settings same as camera.
Try H.264 (mp4) for export instead.

  • Adobe Premiere Pro to edit videos export process extremely slow!

    Hello,
I use Adobe Premiere Pro to edit videos, and until recently, it’s been working smoothly. The last few times I’ve tried to export, the process has been extremely slow—for example, yesterday the program told me it was going to take 22 hours to export a 527MB video.
My computer has an i7 processor and a decent video card (Radeon HD 7470) so I don’t think that’s the issue, but I can’t see it being the software since I had been successfully exporting videos until recently.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated—thanks!

  • Premiere Pro CS4 - editing video from GoPro video camera

I am having a problem trying to edit video from the GoPro camera in Premiere Pro CS4 (PP). Have not been able to get much help from GoPro - they just tell me to speak with Adobe. I think the video codec used by the camera is MJPEG (?). It won't play at all on the timeline. Interestingly it will in After Effects (AE) CS4 and if I export it out of AE as a Microsoft AVI file I can then play it in PP. However if I go straight to Media Encoder and import the clip and then try export the clip via ME as a Microsoft AVI the exported clip from ME won't play in Premiere Pro. I am confused. Does anyone know this camera, it's codec and why it just won't work when directly imported into Premiere Pro but it will when imported directly into After Effects. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Please see a post I made this morning under my screen name BruceERoberts .... details below
I just purchase Adobe Premiere Pro a few days ago - and subsequently updated it to Ver 4.2.1.  A started a new project - I tried to import some video footage I just shot with a GOPro Hemet Cam while skiing at our local mountain.  I can easlily see the clip using Real Media Player - or the Quick Time player.  It is a 10.9 MB ... 7 second MPEG-4 movie clip.  File name is "gopro0030.mp4"
I created a "bin" called video .... then right clicked to import the file.  You can see the file name in the media browser.  But the file would not import.  I received this error message:  "109C ImporterProcessServer.exe  Application Error.  The instruction at "0x05efcac" referenced memory at "0x00000014".  The memory could not be read. CLick OK to terminate."
This is very frustrating - I just purchased the software - and it won't import a 7 second video clip!  It did import still fotos with no problem.  What can I do?
thank you for your attention to this.

  • Premiere Pro cs6 - Workspace video pane remains blank when trying to view imported files

    Hello,
I'm currently working in Adobe Premiere Pro CS6. When I import my media into my workspace and drag it onto the timeline, the preview box where you can review your cut video remains black. Double clicking on the imported file gives the same result. I was initially importing .jpg files (about 300kb size for each) so I tried importing various other image formats - .png, .tiff, etc... I have even imported a movie file into my scene to determine whether the issue was with my content format. With the video, the audio plays fine, but the video remains blank in the preview box. I have tried rendering my workspace and changing my initial project settings, but to no avail. I went into my preferences for Premiere and from what I can determine, everything looks fine.
I'm running the software on an HP Pavilion, Windows 7 intel i7, 8gb ram, with a nvidia 650M 2GB card. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

    Hi,
Have you tried to change your Video Renderer? It would be under Project > Project Settings > General. Switch the option to Mercury Playback Engine software only and see if it helps.
    Thanks,

  • Premiere Pro CC 2014 - Video playing faster than audio - Out Of Sync?

Hi All, It's been some time since I've had to write about any problems here. Sooo, I've got Adobe Premiere Pro CC 7.2.2.  (Using AJA KONA IoExpress BoB)   I've imported a 5 minute AVI file (video=1920x1080, Data=65587kbps, Total=66355kbps, 30fps. - - -  Audio=768kbps, Channels=Mono -and/or- Stereo, 48kHz)  from my Livestream HD-500 Digital Recorder as I have been doing successfully for some time now.. .   The video file plays just fine using windows media player but when I inport into a new project. The visual Video is out of sync. Seems like the Video is playing about 1/3rd faster then the normal audio.  Any thoughts? -  -  -  -  -  -  P.S. Here is a (520mb file) public link of a 1min.40sec. Clip using GoDaddy's FileFolder:
    https://files.secureserver.net/0suHs98nozqsKz
Here's a 20 second clip from last weeks trial-run-test using exact same configuration that worked just fine:
    Online Storage - Download File
    UPDATE - Problem Solved
So i got a call from AJA (the Manufacturer of my IoExpress Break out Box for Premiere)
    Here's the Scoop:
    1. When Programs "AutoUpgrade" it's common for some or all Settings to revert to their Default Settings.
    2. Adobe Premiere CC auto-upgraded yesterday when I wasn't looking... (paying attenion)
    3. In Premiere, Preferences>Playback>AudioDevice was reset back to "AdobeDesktopAudio".
    4. I reset the reset back to AJA KONA IoExpress, and WALLA! It Works Great!
I hope this post will help others stuck in this  seemingly unfixable situation.  My clients will be very happy today. :-)

Just for some reinforcement on this subject, these are the settings recommended by Aja for running their hardware in CC 2014:
Make sure you audio is configured like this:
    1. In your MacPro System Preferences:
Set the input for Line in.
Set the output for Built in.
    2. In your PremierePro Preferences:
Set the Audio Hardware for Built-in Output.
Set the Audio Output Mapping for Built-in Output.
Set the Playback for Audio Device on the KONA audio.
You will likely have to reboot after making any changes.
We are running Kona 3, 3G and I/O 4k systems and this basic setup is needed for all our systems or we have intermittent audio playback issues.

  • After Effect / Premiere Pro CC 2014 Video Importing Conflicts

Why are my Adobe software packages not cooperating? PRes imported out of AE and into PPRO, but no die? Why?
Today I have a brand new MacBook Pro, I also have Adobe CC installed, predominantly for PremierePro and After Effects.
First issue - With ProRes video files exported successfully from Davinci Resolve not being imported into AE. After a few hours of failed attempts, head scratching and searching online I found I had to delete certain files from the hard drive / Quicktime folder (DVCPROHDCodec.component / ApplDVCPROHDCodec.compnent / etc) It seems now that AE has these codecs packaged into the application (?)
Anyway this worked! And I was able to import files in without 'after effects 86. error 4. reading file from frame'. Popping up endlessly.
Second issue - I work on an AE composition & try to export as a PremierPro file from AE, this works and I open with Premire Pro, but some video files on the timeline are missing (?)
So I decide to go the long route and export the composition as a single clip at ProRes from After Effects. I attempt to bring this clip into Premiere Pro and I get another error 'The importer reported a generic error'.
This is highly frustrating, I want to know what Adobe are doing to provide the relevant support for us enthusiastic movie makers and editors. I seem to spend most of my time trying to get my software packages working
with one another than making creative content and this really is unproductive and irritating, especially since these softwares are from the same company.

Go to HD/Library/Quictime and delete all .component files. It appears that the correct procedure is to delete all QT components and everything so far works. I have to do this every time I run after effects or Premiere Pro, and remember to put them back in again after shutting down software. Any ideas why this is happening folks?

  • Adobe Premiere Pro crashes on video preview

    Hello,
I was recently working on a project and had Premiere Pro opened, then I had to update my video card drivers, because I had all sort of visual glitches in my games, occasionally when watching movies and the drivers were completely crashing every now and then. At some point during the update my screen went all azure-colored and my computer was completely non-responsive, so I had to restart it, after some waiting. After which the drivers appear to have been installed correctly but when I tried to start Premiere it crashed after loading my project. After a reinstall the same thing kept on occurring, it turned out premiere can start by itself with no problems and even import video files, but the moment I put the video file on the preview window, either by dragging it or by putting it in the timeline, Premiere crashes.
My stupid video card is "SAPPHIRE VAPOR-X R9 270X 2G G5", like I said I updated the drivers, because it was causing problems, it is still uncertain if the update fixed those issues, but now I have a problem with Premiere, which was working fine before that.
I also cleared the media caches, no effect. The crash occurs with any video file, not just with my last project.
    Any ideas?

Will do, however in the meantime I found out Premiere works fine if in a new project I set the rendering to be only software, without the GPU, also in all cases audio import, preview and playback are unaffected.
I was sort of hoping I could play games AND rend video, what are the chances of that?

  • Premiere Pro CS6 - Exported Video Longer Than Audio

Hello all.  I've downloaded a series of tutorials from Groove 3 and have been using Premiere/Encore to convert them to Blu-rays.  Up until recently, I've had no problems with the workflow, but now I'm stuck and can't figure out what's happening.
The tutorials are broken down into individual video clips per chapter, AVC MP4 media, 30p.  Most of them are screen captures so they aren't in typical video resolutions, so what I've been doing is creating a new sequence in Premeire Pro (1280x720 59.94 or 30p, tried both) and brought the clips into the timeline.  I resize the video, add Encore chapter markers at the start of each clip, then export the sequence using the H.264 Blu-ray template with 1280x720 resolution.
The entire length of each tutorial varies - some are 90 minutes others are several hours - so sometimes I need to adjust the bitrate to ensure that I'm ending up with an .m4v that'll fit on the Blu-ray.
When I bring that .m4v clip into Encore as a timeline and preview the project, the markers start falling behind and there's considerable audio drift by the end of the sequence.
If I bring that exported clip back into premiere, I find that the video track is actually longer than the audio track, which explains the chapter markers/audio not lining up.  What I can't understand is why Premiere would export a video track that's longer than the audio track when everything lines up and plays back perfectly in the sequence timeline within PPro.
Again, I've used this workflow with previous tutorials and it worked fine, but I've not been able to fix this problem.  Even if I export a different container/codec out of PPro then convert it to .m4v in Media Encoder, I keep ending up with the same problem.
I'm thinking about making each chapter its own sequence and exporting each of them individually, then manually linking all of them together in Encore, but that seems like a pretty ridiculous workflow when everything should line up as is.
I had originally assumed it was because I was changing sequence settings when bringing the footage into PPro (I want the sequence to be in 1280x720, not the screen resolutions of the tutorial vids), but even when I ensure that the sequence frame rate matches that of the source videos, the exported media does not match up.
    Ideas?

The tutorials are downloaded as a zip file then extracted; I don't actually screen record the tutorials while streaming or anything.  I guess I couldn't say if variable frame rate was used when they recorded the tutorials, but the media I have shows up as 30fps as opposed to some sort of non-traditional frame rate that often shows up when recording with something at a variable frame rate (like the stock iPhone video camera app).

  • Good Premiere pro Cs5.5 Video Editing Computer Set Up For Under $3000

Hey everyone im hopeing to hear for Harm Millaard input on this and anyone elses who understands PC computers for video editing. I need to build a computer set up for my specific needs. I am a youtuber who makes videos for a living and I need a speedy computer for editing primarily in premiere pro CS5.5 and sometimes in After effects. I use magic bullet 2.0 color grading in almost all my videos so that slows my computer down alot. The current computer I have now shuts off when ever it runs to much stuff and gives me the BSOD so its extreemly fusterating because editing something small can take me all day because of the constent shutting off. Mostly does BSOD when I uses Magic Bullet 2.0 I shoot with DSLR footage but once in a while it will happen out of the blue when running alot of things but mostly when exporting. I need a list of specs that will all work together to give a perfect workflow for my needs and I also would like advice on what Raid because I dont fully understand it as well as what back up drives etc should I have. I plan of buying the specs and having someone build it for me and set up raid etc that knows how to do all that. In case some of you wonder what type of computer I have now these are the specs if you need more information on what I have in my computer ask exactly what info you want to me to tell you and ill look it up.
If you have advice on specs I dont have to re-buy that I could take out of this computer to save money then that would be better as well. I currently have no back up external drives as well so Idk what I should buy for that as well. Thank you all for your time a head of time!

Well!!!!.....where do I start??  You must spend some time here reading all the valuable info that has been presented and discussed many times here. Basically, PPro is a very demanding , PROFESSIONAL program that needs beefy and SPECIFIC hardware to run properly.
AMD CPU will not cut it.....it lacks the necessary instruction set that Intel has that apply to video processing.
You need a fast Intel i7 CPU for starters.
You do not mention video card.....NVidia CUDA card of over 1GB video memory is required to enable the "Mercury PlaybackEngine", which provides a TEN TIMES INCREASE  in rendering speed of previews.....not to mention accelerating the export process by handling some specific effects during export.
Some DSLR codecs,( like Canon MOVs) cause PPro....which is a 64bit program..... to open the 32 bit " Quick time Importer" process, ( as Quick Time is 32 bit), slowing down the process, even with good hardware. Editing highly compressed consumer codecs,( AVCHD,etc.) in real time ,then exporting can be very taxing on a computer, requiring top -notch components. Even if you do it the old way and transcode to a more edit friendly codec before editing.....you would then need a larger, faster disk system to handle the huge files at a high speed!!!
16GB system memory is OK for 5.5.....with 6 and later, 32GB is better.
Two separate hard drives are the required minimum for PPro......currently, the best performing and cheapest setup would be : C drive=  120GB quality SSD, D drive = 2x 7200 RPM HDDs in onboard RAID 0 for pagefile, previews, and all cache files.  E drive= same setup as "D", for media, project files, and export.  F drive =  large 7200 rpm disk for necessary backup of important files and backup of "D" drive. All drives should "indexing" and" compression" turned OFF,( under drive Properties window).
Less expensive would be just three separate 7200 RPM HDDs...that could be OK with just DSLR footage which is so compressed that it requires less actual MB/sec., unless you are using many tracks of video, upping the requirement needed.
Read the many posts and articles by Harm Millard and Bill Gehrke....they have contributed a tremendous wealth of knowledge and experience to the readers.....preventing many from making bad purchases and expensive mistakes when trying to construct a machine that will perform well....their website, PPBM5 is invaluable as it can show you all the video benchmark results of differently configured machines. It is a good guide as to what you may want to build,or, purchase.....Good Luck!!

  • Premiere Pro CC 2014 Video is too LARGE

    Hi all,
Just getting started with Premiere Pro CC 2014. I've imported a short clip to practice on, and the first thing I noticed is that the output video is too large for the screen:
Is there a way to fix this?
I don't know if this is related or not, but I also keep getting this:
It says the minimum screen resolution required is 1024 x 768. My screen resolution is 1366 x 768. Isn't that large enough?
Any help would be great - thanks!!

I think I've figured out the scaling issue. Any ideas on the screen resolution would be awesome.

  • Colors in Premiere Pro and on video export aren't the same, why?

    Hi there,
So I graded a clip in speedgrade, and exported it from Premiere Pro.
Weirdly when I play the clip with vlc it doesnt show the colors I had in Premiere Pro.
Now when I import this clip into AE it looks the same as in SpeedGrade and Premiere Pro.
After exporting it from after effects with and without the color profile converter efffect set to srgb and also with and without the working space set as srgb, they all look the same, off colored
    Did I miss a step?

I have no effects altering the video in VLC.
About my monitor profile, I use SpeedGrade with the same monitor I open VLC to check the video.
The white exports fine, it's still white, the shift might be a relative one.. idk really :/
All I can see is the output from premiere pro not matching the its sequence.

  • Premiere Pro CS 4 Video Preview

I have upgraded after much deliberation from Premiere Pro CS2 to the new Premiere Pro CS4 and have a major issue.  Hope someone in the usergroup can assist with this.
I am running an AMD Athlon 2.8 with 2ghz RAM, terrabyte drive (IDE), 256 MG AGP Nvideo GeForce graphics card.
The issue is that when I capture a video project and want to edit it there is nothing in the preview window selected.  I can drag the footage to the timeline and again, in the second window there is nothing when playing back.  However, when I stop playback and click in the preview window the last frame is displayed.
I can play again, audio works fine, but no video playback is rendered in the window.
I never had any issues with CS2 working in this manner.  The above issue also occurs when a (working) CS2 project is opened in CS4 (after converting).  I have also read other forums about the 12bit 32 kHz and 16bit 48 kHz properties of Avi files but have tried different settings from my Sony camera without any change in results.
    Many thanks.

Thanks for the suggestions but alas no luck.
I have updated Windows XP SP3 with all current updates.
I have downloaded and updated the Nvidia GeforceFX5500 drivers (which were the ones I was using)
I updated direct x to the latest version.
OpenGL is not available or I don't know how to configure it.  Noticed this was greyed out in Photoshop and unable to select it.
Also captured new footage with CS4 without success after it was conformed as suggested.
I have no issues with CS2 which I have put back on the machine.
Neither the source or preview windows display video footage with cs2 captured files, cs4 captured files, imported avi files.  But, noticed that if I created titles and imposed over static images they will display in the preview window but once it gets to captured footage it stops on the last frame of the title image.  The audio continues but the video does not.

  • Premiere Pro CS3: Rendered video issues.

My friend gave me her old copy of CS3, and I've been using it for quite some time now.
About 5 months or so ago I had to format my computer and lost a lot of stuff, after reinstalling premiere pro I got back to work recording my Let's Play videos.
Well when it came to editing everything worked the same. No issues whatsoever. It wasn't until I started rendering them out through Adobe Media Encoder that I started to have problems.
I've been using Fraps to record the gameplay footage, and created the project to match everything that the raw videos had.
Same framerate, size, audio, etc. Same thing with the rendering options in Adobe Media Encoder
I usually split my videos by 10 minutes to keep peoples attention on youtube, and use the uncut stuff for my blip.tv page. I generally stay within a 55 minute window, and those renderings used to work completely normally.
Now when I try to render longer vids (and on occassion I will get the issue with the short 10 minute ones) I will watch the video after rendering and see the audio and video start to desync as time goes on, sometimes the video freezes and the audio continues to play, and some other times the video will go completely black and the audio will continue on. It's very strange, and very aggrivating because it makes me waste more time to render the video again.
    My computer deets:

AMD athlon II X2: 3.1 Ghz Dualcore
