Premiere Pro CS 6.exe stays active after closing the program

I am experiencing a problem with Premiere Pro CS 6.03. When I close the program, the second monitor would not return to desktop (it stays a black screen). The premiere pro cs.exe is active in taskmanager. Only after I end the exe process would the second monitor return to desktop. I am not using any third party hardware, only Adobe player for second monitor out. This problem occurs often, but not every time I use Premiere. I have never experienced this problem in Premiere Pro CS 5.03, which is still installed on the same PC. The technical Spec is: Intel 3930K, 32 GB RAM, GTX 560, Windows 7 Professional 64 bit. I have tried to toggle between different NVidia drivers, but with no effect.
Any help would be appreciated!

I've had the process stay open after closing the program as well, but only on one of my two machines. For me, the 6.0.3 update seemed to correct the issue. Not sure why it's still happening in your case.

I think this is because the property of the visual attribute of the LOV is set on <UNSPECIFIED>.
Now I've added a new visual attribute to the Object library especially for LOV's
And in designer I've added the template to be used by the LOV's
The problem however is that when generating the module the visual attribute isn't added to the .fmb/fmx file
and the LOV uses the original visual attribute.

By the way, It's a Client/Server application.

Visual attributes are included in generated forms because they are included in object groups that are included in the template form. To include a new visual attribute in every form, you could add the visual attribute to the group QMSSO$MODULE in qmsolm65.fmb and re-generating the qmsolb65.olb object library. Then, if you recompile new .fmx files for you forms, the visual attribute will be added to every form.

Please utilize any available uninstallers that are located in the Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers folder. Once all of the available uninstallers have been run you will then want to rerun the CC Cleaner Tool. The CC Cleaner Tool is designed to be used after running the uninstallers. Without running the uninstallers first then a complete removal may not be possible.

I've had this problem on my Windows XP for years. it's been around, unsolved, or no solutions in these forums.
It keeps reminding me why Apple will never be the primary office computer company. Anyone running a business cannot have software running that will not behave, won't shut down, or behaves without any explanation, and this problem has no explanation, or solution that I can find except to use task manager to kill the process and only use iTunes when I'm expecting to shut down or kill the process.

Is it necessary to keep Premiere Pro CC on my hard drive after installing the newer "2014" version?

After installing the latest version, I discovered that the old Pro CC wasn't replaced by the new "2014." So I'm wondering if it's necessary for any reason to keep the old one, or can I go through the "Uninstall" routine without doing any harm to the new one.

If your only concern is doing damage to the 2014 version, I suspect Adobe built it so that you could remove the old versions and not harm the new ones.
On the other hand, it is good practice to keep the old versions as long as you can. As the others mentioned above you can save projects one version down and if you remove the old Pr you will have to convert your old projects to 2014 if you want to open them. Finally, I am sure Adobe will remove the option to download the old versions eventually and if you have removed them you may be in trouble if you come across an issue that requires an older version.
My advise would be to keep the old versions until Adobe releases a few patches for the 2014 versions just incase some major bugs begin to pop up.

Firefox exe dont stop after closing the browser

Premiere Pro CC 2014 - Workspace mixed when I open the program

Dear Sirs,
I recently started using the program and every time I open the Premier Pro the workspace is all mixed up/not display the way I finished using it the last time. I mean I have to reorganized my workspace everytime I open the program. By mixed up I mean the size of the different Windows I use in my workspace are totally out of size. It doesn't matter if I open the Program and then I click a Project or if I open it by clicking in a Project.
I use others programs of Adobe CC and it's the only one this this strange behavior.
I ran Adobe CC in a PC with Windows 8.1 Pro 64it
Any tip how to avoid that?

Photoshop cs3 extended asking for serial number and activation after having the program for over 5 years now

for some reason the program out of the blue is asking for a serial number and activation. I can't find the case anymore. does anyone have a way I can contact adobe directly to see if they can help me solve this problem.
Everywhere I look points me back to the forum or troubleshooting menus.

It may think you have a different computer if you've changed some of the hardware recently.
Did you purchase the software as a download or register it with Adobe? If so, your serial number may be available from them directly. Click first the red A logo at the top of this page, then drill down through [Manage Account] to see the products they have on file for you.
If you've physically lost your serial number and never registered it with Adobe, it's like losing a wad of cash on the street. You're responsible for holding onto your valuables and no one's going to step up and replace it for you.
The Creative Cloud Photographer's Bundle subscription package is still available for $9.99 a month, as far as I know.

I cannot open itunes a second time after closing the program.

After I close Itunes on my PC running Windodos XP Pro, I cannot open the program again without logging off the computer, an when I try to log off, the computer tells me that Itunes is still running.

I've never rented a movie from iTunes (ever) and when I look at Pirates of the Caribbean - At World's End I have only a "buy" option. Nothing to rent.

Adobe 11.0.3 keeps running after closing the program and uses all cpu

After closing Adobe reader it remains in the background on task manager and uses about 25% of CPU for each instance, each time a pdf is closed it adds another instance in the background, when there are four my cpu is maxed out. I have to use my computer with task manager always running so I can end task each time I close a PDF. I tried the solution stopping welcome screen with registry fix and other fixes for prior versions, none help. Running Windows 8.

In order to deploy via GPO, you need to create AIP (Administrative Installation Point) for Reader 11.0 and then patch that AIP with 11.0.04 to create AIP of 11.0.04
Method:
1. Extract Reader 11.0.4 exe via the following command line,
AdbeRdr11004_en_US.exe -sfx_o"<extraction_path>" -sfx_ne
e.g. if you want to extract to c:\temp_folder
you should run the following command,
AdbeRdr11004_en_US.exe -sfx_o"c:\temp_folder" -sfx_ne
You should see the following six files in c:\temp_folder,
ABCPY.INI
AcroRead.msi
AdbeRdrUpd11004.msp
Data1.cab
setup.exe
Setup.ini
2. Now navigate to "C:\temp_folder" folder to create AIP for 11.0 in "C:\Rdr11AIP" and follow the wizard
msiexec /a AcroRead.msi TARGETDIR="C:\Rdr11AIP"
3. Now navigate to "C:\Rdr11AIP" to create AIP for 11.0.4 in C:\Rdr11AIP" and follow the wizard
msiexec /a AcroRead.msi TARGETDIR="C:\Rdr11AIP" PATCH=<"Path to 11.0.04 patch location">
for this example, "Path to 11.0.04 patch location" is going to be "c:\temp_folder\AdbeRdrUpd11004.msp"
So the command would be,
msiexec /a AcroRead.msi TARGETDIR="C:\Rdr11AIP" PATCH="c:\temp_folder\AdbeRdrUpd11004.msp"
4. You will see following files in your "C:\Rdr11AIP" folder,
AcroRead.msi
Common
CommonAppData
program files

Windows
5. Now copy the contents of this folder to your network location and link the AcroRead.msi file in the Group Policy Editor, you are now ready the deploy 11.0.04

Recently, I was working on a video in Final Cut, and I had to close it to do something. When I re-opened it, the project I was working on was not there. I have tried looking for folders storing the project, and have found nothing. Any suggestions?

Are you sure you were working on a project, and not editing in one clip's own timeline? This is a pretty common mistake.

After Organizing my bookmarks, they won't stay sorted after closing the library

Pulled down 'views', selected 'sort, the 'sort by name'
all the bookmarks sorted alphabetically as I wanted...
Closed the Library, pulled down the Bookmarks menu, and the bookmark were unsorted as if I never organized them

Sorting in the Library is a temporary sort, it resets as soon as you close the Library window.

Executable VI remains in memory after closing the program

Using LabVIEW 8.5.1
I've had two problems like this now. One in a vista machine and the other in a windows 2000 machine. The program is the same with minor changes between the machines. At first I thought the problem was in the installer and I had to change the target OS to Vista only, but now I'm not sure that is the issue as it is happening in a win2K machine as well.
The program runs fine but when we stop the execution and then close the program by hitting the X on the upper right corner of the window it closes the window but the instance remains loaded in memory and I have to go to the task manager to end the task.
Any leads on the fixt to this would be helpful.

I am giving you a glimpse of what the code does. I'm not saying that I'm an expert programer as it is not my full time responsibility. However, I am asking for help on figuring out what is going on with my code and I understand that it will be hard to pin point the problem without posting the entire program for members to disect. Having said that, it would also be difficult to get but a glimpse on my programming style without me posting what I would consider a finished program. For example, (here is another glimpse at my style) the program does go into an idle state waiting for the user to run another recipe or to terminate the program. If the user decides to run a recipe but needs to abort the recipe, there is an option to do that and the program goes back to idle. Further more the program can only be stopped while it is idle, a recipe has to be aborted prior to stopping the program (this is required to avoid leaving the furnace in an unsafe state) unless the user forces the program to quit by way of the "end task" which thanks to the note posted in a previous reply I know how to hadle now...
Sorry for the deviation from the actual topic, I could go on and on about what the program is supposed to do and how I'm meeting the end user requirements but I don't see the value of that at the momment.

Why does the app (acrobat.exe) stay alive after the document is closed?

Using system Explorer or HijackThis, it is apparent that the acrobat.exe app stays active after the document that called the app is closed. Why? and how do I stop it from happening?

I have the same problem and it is irritating because if I print and save a pdf file using Acrobat, I cannot change the file name or delete the file because the system somehow thinks the file is open in the Acrobat.exe application, even after I have closed out pdf file and all Adobe applications in my user account. I need to go to the Task Manager and find the Acrobat application running under SYSTEM in order to stop the process so I can go back and change the file name or delete it...
This did not occur until my recent update to Acrobat 9.4.2.220 . Is this fixable somehow?

You haven't given us much to go on here. What exactly are you doing and what exactly happens when you try? Which specific version of each program are you using? (Go to Help>About...)
On a side note, a simple, brief thread title is all that's needed. Something like "After Effects Issue" would be fine. You don't need the full question there.
