Premiere Pro CS3 30-day trial installation

I've been unable to install the Premiere Pro CS3 30-day trial: after I select the 30-day trial radio button, I'm told that there has been an error that ends the operation. My PC runs Windows Vista Ultimate with SP1.

  • I Need a Premiere Pro CS3 installation CD or Link

    Hello,
Recently, my computer crashed and now I have a new one.  I have a registered license and serial number for my purchased copy of Premiere Pro CS3.  However, the installation CD is misplaced.  Is there a download link or cd available?

    No and maybe
Since you say you registered, you MAY be able to have Adobe support (which this is NOT) send you a CD... if they have any in a vault somewhere

  • Premiere Pro CS3 Trial version refuses to install

I downloaded the trial version of Premiere Pro CS3 last night (painfully slow) and tried to install this morning, but it balks a few percent from the ned. I keep getting disk space or priveleges; 60+ gigs on one drive I tried, 80 gigs free on another, and I've administrator priveleges on an XP-Pro system, 2 Gb RAM.
I even tried letting it use the default c:\... location it defaults with same results.
    This a correupted file or ??? ADBEPPROCS3_ALP.exe 719,174,560 bytes. Should I re-download & try a different mirror site?
    Thanks,
    Mark

    Well, it gets better.
I went thru the slow d/l process again this morning. The download applette was already installed and it started up quickly. I chose details in order for the applet to NOT install upon completion.
When it did finish, I then let the applett proceed to launch, chose my own temp folder for it to ectract to, and this time it went to completion.
Great! It worked. At least the installation part did. Someone say something about another shoe?
Now let's see what the program looks like. I chose it from the All programs menu as there is no Desktop icon, and it asks me for a serial number or to try for 30 days. I select the latter and it proceeds with a loading ... Adobe Premiere CS3 splash.
... until it gets to an FL Studio VSTi.dll and proceeds to go no further.
The system isn't hung, just constant hourglass over the Premiere CS3 splash. Task Manager doesn't even show the application as hung, but under Processes, Adobe Premieree Pro CS3 tops the list on mem usage (263 Megs), and I can kill the process there.
And no, I haven't tried renaming, moving, uninstalling, etc. concerning FL Studio at this point, although I might test that later.
So, it sounds like I'm gonna have a tech support issue before I even receive my official copy of the product. I think that's a first.

  • Premiere pro cs3 ftp link

We purchased Premiere Pro CS3 couple years ago.  Had to reformat computer, can't reinstall because downloaded first time with trial and the 30 days is up.  Adobe keeps telling me they will make the Premiere Pro CS3 link to install the program and email the link to me.  This has been going on since the beginning of 2009.  Still no link.  upgraded to CS4 like Adobe suggested, having all kinds of problems.  Is it possible to use someone else's installation discs for CS3 but use my serial number to register it?

I have Premiere Pro CS4 installed on my desktop and my laptop. My projects are generally short in length (30 seconds to 30 minutes; some larger but the project size doesn't seem to make any difference) and I am still in SD, not HD.  Although a little slow because I'm running 32 bits, initially it worked fine on both, until . . . .
Desktop - all of a sudden I'm getting an error message "Licensing for this product has stopped working", followed by a couple similar error messages.  It will only stay open for 5 minutes tops before this message appears.  I've tried the solutions posted by Adobe and the Forums but nothing has worked.  I can't think of anything that changed on my computer that made this start happening.
Laptop - Same error message as above. It never did import to Media Composer. Then I had issues with the Dell XPS laptop so our IT dept worked on it and fixed those issues by replacing motherboard, memory and video card (old video card was a NVIDIA Geo Force 8800 GTX, new card is a ATI Mobility Radeon X1800, any thoughts as to whether this replacement was a step up or down from the NVIDIA are welcome). They reinstalled the programs and now Premiere works okay but it still won't import to Media Composer.  Media Composer opens but the project never gets there and I get the red X or the caution triangle.
Desktop - Premiere doesn't work but it does talk to Media Composer.  If I can get it to stay up long enough I can take the video I create from the laptop, open it on my desktop and then Import to Media Composer.
The desktop is a Dell XPS 720; Windows XP Professional Version 2002 w/Service Pack 3; 32 bit; Intel Core 2 Quad; Q6600 @ 2.40GHz; 2.40 GHz; 2.75 GB of RAM.
The laptop is a Dell XPS 720; Windows XP Professional Version 2002; 32 bit; Intel Core 2 CPU; T7200 @ 2.00GHz; 1.99 GHz; 3.25 GB of RAM.
This is extremely frustrating.  Especially when I didn't have any problems with CS3.  Thanks for any help you can provide

  • Seeking Help/Advise for Premiere Pro CS3 editing project

    Hello everyone,
I am an Absolute newbe here, and to both forums and Adobe in general, so I may be going about this all wrong. If so forgive me, but I have a problem that I would Desperately like some help with.
For about twenty-five years I have been looking for a movie, the problem was hampered somewhat by the fact that it was never released on either VHS or DVD, making it rather hard to find as you might imagine. Now, thanks to the wonder of a (new?) site called youtube, I found DL it piece by piece. I dont mind that it is not DVD quality, in fact, since it was originally a made for tv film, I kind of like it.
The PROBLEM is that for some reason the audio doesnt match up with the video. It is a few seconds before/after (Dont ask me why, I dont Know computers much) and though I have dl/tried every program I can get my hands on, I cant seem to join the pieces together and get the stuff to sync up. Its like watching an old, old Japanese monster movie and watching Those gave me a headache when I was young lol.
Then someone told me that Adobe Premiere Pro CS3 could fix the problem, so I DL it on a trial basis. Thing is, I know nothing about computers and cant even get the movie to load. Let me say I am not especially computer literate, and while I am currently trying to figure out Adobe Premiere Pro CS3 I most likely Wont be keeping it past the 30-day trial. Not that I dont like it (I suppose, so far I have been able to get absolutely no place with it) but rather because I DL it for one reason and, at almost a thousand dollars, it seems an extravagance for a program I will likely never have the need to use again.
    (No disrespect intended)
With utmost respect to all, could someone either guide me through the process or convert the thing for me? I have tried going the video editing rout, but they wont help me due to a copyright thing (though I grabbed the thing from public youtube). I dont want to publically display, resell, show off or make a dime from the thing, I just want to make it sync up and burn it to dvd to watch on my tv.
Any advise/help would be warmly appreciated. I am posting this in a couple of forums, so like I said, if I am out of line I apologize.
    Respectfully to all.
    B G

    To John Smith,
Thanks, I have now dl elements and I am going to fool with it today, wish me luck.
    To Malick,
Exactly why I am here. Because I am computer functionally illiterate, I am hoping someone here can either:
A: Talk me through the process.
    or
B: Be convinced to do it for me. I am willing to deal. :) (I suspect it is the kind of thing that, a person who Knew what they were doing, could do it in about five min.)
For me, who has only used computers for the most Basic things.....
I have tried putting everything onto a CD and taking it to places, but each time I get told that, even though I found the thing on youtube, it is (Was) a real movie released on TV and as such cannot be touched due to copyright. (goofy, if ya ask me. I don't want to sell the thing, just watch it)
    But I thank you.

  • Premiere Pro CS3

Today I downloaded the trial of the application mentioned. I do not succeed to install it onto my PC (Win XP Home SP2). After extracting the files and initialisation the setup splash screen is shown for a few seconds and than - nothing happens.
I noticed another strange thing. Under "Software" in the configurations there is now an entry with "Adobe Premiere Pro CS3" (with no drive space in use) which I cannot remove. When I choose "change/remove" an error screen appears.
    What can I do?

  • Audio in Premiere Pro CS3 appears on one PC, not the other

    Hi everyone,
I'm the Network Administrator for a high school and we have a digital media lab here using Adobe Creative Suite 3: Master Collection.  All systems here are running Windows XP Professional and are on a Windows domain.  All users are standard users, with no administrative rights for obvious security reasons.  When I originally did the deployment of the lab by running sysprep on a reference computer and using ghost to deploy the rest of the computers, I noticed a problem with Premiere Pro CS3 after the deployment.  In that lab, none of the computers would capture video via firewire and the built in capture function in Adobe Premiere CS3.  I believe I have a post about this on these forums that was never resolved.  To get around this, I'd capture the footage for students in my office and then transfer it over to their network drives so they could import it into Premiere Pro CS3 and edit the footage.
Recently, the school purchased some HD cameras that record to a built in hard drive or an SDHC card.  The idea here was that the .MTS files could be copied from the camera to the computer running Premiere Pro CS3, the media files in .MTS format [at 1280x720] could be converted using KoyoteSoft's Free HD Converter using the settings MPEG2 [a preset], MPG2 as the format, 1280x720 // 16/9, 29.97 FPS, 9000 video bitrate, and 224 audio bitrate, and then the new media files could be imported into Premiere Pro CS3 and edited using the HDV 720p30 preset within Premiere Pro CS3.
This works great...on my office computer.
The problem is that if any student tries to import their footage on a computer in the digital media lab, the converted media files, the exact same ones that just imported into my Premiere Pro CS3 installation on a computer in my office with identical hardware as the computers in the digital media lab, fail to import the audio.  I can see the video with no problems in the lab, but no audio layer appears.  If I right click the video file and choose Open With> VLC or another media player, the media plays fine with audio.  All audio/video codecs that are installed on my machine are also installed on the digital media machines.  If I right click Adobe Premiere Pro CS3 from within a student account on those computers and choose Run As and use the local administrator account, Premiere Pro CS3 does the exact same thing, it still can't see the audio.  Adobe CS3 is fully up to date on both my office computer and all digital media computers.
Any help fixing this would be greatly appreciated, spring break is coming up here this coming week and I'll be here all week.  Hoping to get this resolved during that time so students can edit their own movies.  Again, video imports, audio doesn't.  No audio layer appears.
    Thanks!

See if this helps... To work with AC3 sound files in Premiere CS3, copy the ad2ac3dec.dll file from the Encore CS3 directory into the Premiere directory

  • Unable to play Cineform avi files in Premiere Pro CS3

I am using Cineform NeoHD version 5.3.2 to convert the MXF files from my Canon XF300 into Cineform AVI.
Then I import these AVI files into Premiere Pro CS3 and here is where the problem begins.
Premiere is unable to play these Cineform files. All I get is about a second of audio, and a still frame of the video. This happens both in the source window, and also on the timeline.
The Cineform AVI files play perfectly fine when using Virtualdub for playback, but Windows media player behave just like Premiere.
Everything worked fine a week ago. Premiere appeared to use something called "ffdshow" to play the Cineform files, and I could edit without any trouble.
A few days ago, when I tried the same, that's when the problems came. Whenever I hit Play button in Premiere, a popup window came up, saying Premiere wanted to use ffdshow, and the options was "never", "no once", "yes once", "yes always".
When everything worked a week ago, I had to use the "yes always" option.
Now, it does not matter which option I use, Premiere will not play the Cineform files.
I did not make any changes to my computer between the day everything was okay, and when the problem appeared.
A Cineform representative suggested "ffdshow" is the troublemaker, so I uninstalled ffdshow and removed any traces of it I could find, but the same problem still exist.
    Then I uninstalled Cineform NeoHD
Uninstalled and reinstalled Production Premium CS3 suite
    Reinstalled Cineform NeoHD
Still same problem, nothing has changed.
It does not matter if I use 50i or 25p source files.
    My system: (Laptop)
    Windows Vista ultimate 64-bit
    Intel 2,66GHz quad core CPU
    4GB ram
    Nvidia Geforce 8800M GTX
3x internal 7200rpm harddrives set up with raid-0
    Anyone else experiencing this?
Any ideas what might be wrong?

dont know , but this stuff might fix your prob.. overwrite whatever ffdshow screwed up...
    cfrepair utility:
    http://www.siliconimaging.com/DigitalCinema/SiliconImaging_support.html
    cineform codec (neo player)
    http://estore.cineform.com/NeoPlayer.aspx
never used the cfrepair thing..but did install neoplayer which gave me the codec to use cs3 with cf raw files ( sample of cf raw at the si 2k site -- avi ext )
ps.... to keep overhead down on my computer I took the resulting cineform "player" out of my startup directory....as it wants to run in background when you install it...no need for that for my purpose of just getting the codec

  • Trouble Importing MOV files in adobe premiere pro cs3

    Hi,
I just bought a Canon 60D camera and I am using adobe premiere pro cs3 for the first time.
I tried to import MOV file footages made by my Canon 60D, but it says that my files are not supported.
I don't know what to do!
    Can someone help me?
    Thank you.

    Hi All,
Let me tell you how I solved the XDV9 codec trouble on my Windows 7 system. The solution is rather stunning because I am using completely free software. First download the Shark007 codec pack for your system here: http://shark007.net/forum/Thread-Setup-and-usage . Please be aware that the codec pack installer comes with a toolbar install option so make sure you de-select this option during the installation process. After installation check the MOV tab on the "Settings Application" program. Make sure "use LAV's splitter" is selected for MOV Playback.
Now comes the crazy part... To convert the XDV9 MOV video clips just download Windows Essentials Movie Maker for Windows 7. At this moment more info about this program can be found here: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-live/movie-maker-get-started . Again, make sure to set the right settings during installation otherwise you will be installing a lot of possible unwanted crap like Windows Live Mail, Windows Skydrive etc.
Movie Maker has quite good settings for converting (High Definition or custom settings are supported). Select your clip, or select multiple clips to create an unedited full length clip of all your clips, and then select "create movie". I used the "use recomended settings for this project" settings as it matches the source file resolution and frame rates etc. It is quite some work to convert clips like this but its the only free solution I could find so far.
    Good luck!

  • Timecode from .m2t not visible in Premiere Pro CS3

    Hi,
I've done a couple of HDV test captures using OnLocation to create an .m2t file. The DVR in OnLocation correctly displays timecode from the camera (Canon XH-A1) while recording and playing back clips. However, when I import the file into Premiere Pro CS3 I don't see the start time code in the file properties or when bringing up the "Timecode" window (off the file menu). In order to sync multi-camera clips I end up having to manually enter the time code using the info displayed by the OnLocation DVR for that clip.
What am I doing wrong here - I thought that I read somewhere that Premiere Pro would be able to directly read the timecode stamp from the .m2t file?
    /BILLW

Sorry to dredge up an old thread, guys, but as I'm just starting my transition to tapeless I'm having the same issue.  I'm recording to both tape and to the MRC1k on my Z5s; the TC comes in fine when I capture the tape, but all the transferred/imported m2t files from the MRC1k all start at zero.  Normally I wouldn't care, but the main reason I dumped all my old cams and bought four Z5s with MRC1ks was for the ability to do real time of day free run timecode and sync the four cams together via TC LINK, while still going tapeless, for supposedly easy multicam sync by timecode on the timeline.
Using DVMP Pro I was able to confirm that the clips do in fact have the correct timecode on them (but no values in Properties for Prem Start and such).
Anyhow, anyone figured this out yet?

  • Can't install Premiere Pro CS3 in vista x64!

    Hi
I'm trying to install Adobe Premiere Pro CS3 trial version on my system Vista Ultimate X64, every time I run setup.exe that extracted on my desktop it load for few seconds, loading and then it close with no reason.
There's no error code or any message after it close. and I'm also pretty sure that my system met recommended requirements. I'll upload dxdiag anyway.
I just were on my way to buy this product but I said ill try it as long as there a trial version, thanks to "trial versions" idea that adobe presents to us.
Anyway, what is my problem, what's wrong?

I have to agree with Aanarav but I haven't suffered the same USB audio problem. My Rode mic works fine.
I've loaded CS3 Production Premium on Vista x64 and suffered no ill effects at all. My projects are longform (documentary) and the greatest benefit so far is the drastically reduced rendering times (mind you that's a quad core with 8Gb of memory.) Apart from the Adobe suite I can run GPU based programs like ProDad's Vitascene and many others concurrently without affecting processing speed all that much. For the first time I can actually run Prem Pro and Avid liquid at the same time (not too well mind you) and that's a feat.
As to all the "questions" Vista may ask the solution is simple - turn them off.
There's a lot of rumours about "lack" of drivers but this is changing daily and I don't have one piece of hardware/software from XP that can't run on Vista x64 including my 14 year old HP Laserjet 6p printer. The only hardware I needed to replace was my Lide30 Canon scanner (2 years old).
Oh! the nVidia x64 bit video drivers are a treat.
Vista x64 - faster than a speeding bullet (if you have a half decent machine)

  • Project Pro 2013 60 Day Trial....didn't last 60 days

I download and installed the Project Pro 2013 60 day trial and it disabled most of the features after about 7 days. Does anyone know if this can be fixed so that I can use the entire 60 days?
Many thanks in advance if you know the answer.

Soloanom, I anticipate you might be bounced around with a problem like this, but I think that what you're experiencing is due to the design or a problem with the project product itself, and so you'll need to ask the office experts over in the office-related

  • Premiere Pro CS3 now exits after loading

After using premiere pro cs3 for quite a while, all of a sudden it exits after loading. I'm not sure if this is an Adobe problem or a Norton problem or a machine problem. It happened after a power failure, and while I was running premiere at the time, my power backup let me close the file and shut down premiere before it too died.
The computer is working fine with all other programs, including Encore & Photoshop. I just can't run Premiere. The other strange thing is that I can no longer access the Adobe site from that computer. The site starts to load then hangs forever.
I tried re-installing Premiere, no-luck. Then I downloaded the last update to CS3 (on another machine because the Premiere machine won't connect to the site) and tried to install it. No dice. The install hangs forever with "installing" on the screen.
I thought maybe there was an "installer" or "updater" problem, but can't figure it out.
    Anybody have any suggestions?
    Thanks.
    Brad Tyrrell

    Hunt,
Thanks for the reply.   I'll try that too.
A suggestion I got over at the DV board was to create a new admin account in XP and try opening premiere under that.   That worked!   Unfortunately, since I created my projects under the old admin file, I don't have access to them under the new one.   I'm copying files to a different folder at this point, but I know Premiere doesn't like that.
If deleting the preference file works, it'd be a lot simpler.
    Thanks.
    Brad
By-the-way,  how did you get your screen name to not be your email address?   I can't seem to do it.   I went into my account and changed things, but the forum seems to insist that my screen name is my ID which seems to have to be my email address.
