Premiere Pro CS6 refuses to open its own project

My adobe premier pro cs 6 will not now open my project which it has just saved, nor will it open any of the automatically saved files. I have opened and closed this project several times with the new program.
It says that "this project contains a sequence that cannot be opened and no file or codex can be associated with this sequence type."
Been using premier pro for 10 years and never had a version which failed to open a project before.
What to do???

I have the Adobe Creative Cloud, and I installed Premiere Pro CS6 Family. I was able to open it once, but now that I have tried launching it recently, it comes up with an error message saying "This application has failed to start because MSVCR100.dll was not found. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem". What exactly does that mean?

It means that the Microsoft Visual C++ Resource library got corrupted. Reinstalling can help, because that is the first step of the installlation process. The alternative is to go to the Microsoft site and download the latest C++ libraries and install them manually.

Premiere Pro CS6 won't open at all

Premeire Pro CS6 won't open at all. It locks up when it says "Loading QuickLooks_AE10.plugin" and the entire program doesn't respond at all. I think I just did the latest Creative Cloud update for the Premiere CS6 family. How can I get it working again? I have so many videos to edit! Thanks!

CC and Premiere Pro CS6 will not open

I have downloaded and installed the app twice.
I go into Creative Cloud and I can see Premiere Pro CS6 is an installed app but i can not click on it to run it.
At this point is have spent an hour trying to run one app.
I get no error it just does nothing.......
Just want to try it... So far it is not looking good....

What about the Program Files location? If you don't see it there, use the CC cleaner tool to uninstall the apps and then reinstall again. Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6

Premiere Pro CS6 won't open... Loading ImporterQuicktime.bundle

I just replaced the internal hard-drive after having issues with it and after restoring the system, I'm unable to load Premiere Pro CS6. I make it as far as the ImporterQuicktime.bundle before the program freezes and I have to force quit. I'm on a 13' Macbook Pro.
Please Help!

Premiere Pro CS6 crashes whenever I go near Project Settings

Hi all
I am using an official trial version of Premiere Pro CS6 as part of Creative Cloud. I am editing on my MacBook Pro 17" (newest model) with h.264 footage recorded on my Canon 550D.
Everything works fine, imports and edits like a dream. However, during editing, if I simply go to Project -> Project Settings -> General - then don't even change anything, just ok out of the dialog box then it crashes.
When I say crashes, the video disappears and I cannot do anything at all until I exit out and reboot. No messages appear until I do a 'force quit' and then I get the standard "A serious error has occurred" etc.
Of course the obvious solution is to not select Project Settings when editing! Which I will do for now, but I would like to think that I can change any settings I like without it crashing every time!
Any thoughts?

On reading the advice on a separate thread I updated OSX from 10.7.3 to 10.7.4 which seems to have fixed the problem. Probably should have checked that first!

Premiere Pro CS3 refuses to open

Hello everyone,
I purchased CS3 Production Premium as a university student and am having difficulties with certain programs. I installed the suite in its entirety and successfully activated everything, and certain programs like Photoshop CS3 from the suite will open, but programs like Premiere Pro, Aftereffects, Audition, and Soundbooth will not. I have tried running the programs as an administrator, in compatibility mode, and nothing works. The executable process for each program I attempt to start shows up in task manager, but there is no splash screen or anything coming up on the screen, even after leaving the computer for a long period of time.
Here is my system configuration:
OS: Vista 64 bit
CPU: Intel 3570k (not currently overclocked)
16GB of ram
Currently running Microsoft Security Essentials as my AV.
Can anyone shed some light on this? Thanks in advance.

For Premiere Pro and After Effects, the main cause of a failure to launch is an obsolete video driver, hence John T's questions. With PS CS 3, not so much, but more on it later.
With PrPro, another possible cause is that you have VST's, that are hindering the launch. See this article: http://forums.adobe.com/message/2483418#2483418.
With Photoshop, another common cause for failure to launch is corrupt, or ill-formed fonts. In PrPro, those same problem fonts do not usually surface, until one uses the Titler. See this article: http://forums.adobe.com/message/4185832#4185832
Photoshop, from about CS 5, also relies very heavily on the interface with the video driver, but in CS 3, not quite so much.

Adobe Premiere Pro Cs6 Will Not Open

I have an issue.
Essentially I began installing Adobe Premiere Pro, and it installed halfway before concluding it had allegedly finished installing all the updates.
This is not true as I cannot click the application in Creative Cloud, and my arrow remains as the standard cursor.
This is the second time this has happened, as I was forced to reinstall Creative Cloud and all of my Applications.
I thought a clean install would have helped the situation but it seems to have made no difference, there is no way to open this application, it merely says that it has been installed though is completely unusable.

What is your operating system?

Premiere Pro CS6 Crashes after opening specific folder in my desktop

It's been two weeks now that I am experiencing this terrible problem. I am not sure if it is due to upgrading the software or anything like that. Prior to this, I have done several projects and I haven't done any major tweak in my preferences. I am using the same template or project file. Their is no other apps that are open that really could consume too much memory. Though, before I could use Photoshop, Premiere Pro and Illustrator at the same time.
Here's my hardware:
iMac 27 inch Late 2012
Processor 3.4 Ghz Intel Core i7
Memory 32 GB 1600 Mhz DDR3
Graphics NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680MX 2048 MB

Premiere Pro CS6 Crash upon opening - Windows 7-64

I just had a rather weird problem occur today. I hope this helps anyone else with the same issue.
I opened PrePro CS6 like I always do and after the initialization screen I get to the window that asks me which project do I want to open, I click the latest project and after the load bar fills up a windows message pops up saying that their was a problem loading PrePro and that windows will search for a solution to the problem and than I have to close PrePro. I tried opening it again and the same problem. I tried opening a different project and it crashed just the same again. I tried restarting my computer, again I got the same results. I restarted my computer again and tried opening all my other Adobe apps and they all worked fine. I opened PrePro again, tried opening my latest project and it crashed again. I opened PrePro one more time but this time I created a new project and didn't change any settings, PrePro opened and worked. So I went to file, open recent projects, and opened the latest project (the one I had been trying to opening all along) and presto, it opened and worked.

Weird.

Premiere Pro CC won't open any recent projects.

I recently installed Premiere Pro on Creative Cloud. When I started on my project, it was all working just fine. I closed my project and tried opening it again and the Premiere icon appears on the bottom of my screen and then nothing happens. After a few seconds my cursor turns into a watch and then the app closes. How do I fix this?

I was able to start up Premiere, but I was unable to open anything, recent or new without the app shutting off. It's fine, I restarted my computer and it was working fine again. Thanks for replying!

Premiere Pro CS6 crash everytime I close a project

Hello,
I got 32 different projects with lots of AE links in the timeline (more than 80% is AE links). The problem occurs when I start the queue process for rendering in media enconder.
Everytime I send a project to enconder, when I want to close premiere pro to swtich to another project and do a big batch render list on encoder, premiere crash with a "sorry a serious error has occur" message.
Even if the queue encoder is empty but the app is open the premiere crash, whenever you quit, close project or open a new project.
It's taking a lot of time to reopen, wait for the media to come online and consolidate links, then send queue then wait for the crash the reopen etc... I making corrections on this 32 different projects and I need to batch enconde all of them everytime the clients ask me for a change.
I feel is payback time... I just switch from FCP to premiere and I was loving how fast I was doing this project working everythin in adobe over FCP+AE+Protools was so fast until now.
Any suggestion? thanks

one more thing, this could be helpful if anyone else is running the same problem.
I found that if you save the encoder queue and close the encoder, then you can close the premiere project without crashing premiere.
but also found that AE does exactly the same, if you are editing a AE link comp you will need to close and quit after effects before changing premiere project

Premiere Pro CS6 won't open (nor will After Effects)

I'm using a Mac, and this morning my system needed to run two updates. The first was an update for OS X to 10.9.2. It's focus was on improvement to stability, compatibility, and security. The second was a CUDA driver update to 5.5.47. After both of the updates, neither Premiere CS6 or After Effects will open. They get stuck on the loading graphic with the spinning "beachball". I have to force quit both programs. What's weird is that the CUDA update in my system preferences states that "No newer CUDA Driver available" yet below that in red it says that an update is required. This has been extremely frustrating all day long. I've tried all of the following:
Uninstalling both programs and reinstalling
Restarting the computer after each step
Updating the programs usnig the adobe application manager
Launching both from the program icon as well as a project file
I'm guessing this is primarily to do with the CUDA driver situation. I'm not sure how to fix this..

Please go to below mention location on your MAC and delete the referenced file from it and then try to launch the program.
MACINTOSH HD or “Startup drive/Library/Frameworks” and delete “CUDA.Framework”

Cannot use Premiere Pro CS6 - Crash on open

I got crash when any project open beforethe window of the project opens, also with new project. Premiere create the project and then when try to open the windows it crash. I got irreversible error. I have a new iMac 27 i7 with fusion drive. never used premiere on thi mac.

DLG::SequenceSettings::SequenceSettings had an error with a bad Bitmap pointer, then the error handling that followed obscured the details and crashed while trying to give you a chance to save the project.
I don't see an obvious cause from the user's perspective or a way for the user to avoid the primary error. This one will have to be solved by the Premiere engineers.
(though I'm getting the picture that the error handling in Premiere may be causing more problems than it solves)

Premiere Pro CS6 will not export the full project sequence

I have a project consisting of videos, photos, and audio. The full project is just over 12 minutes long. I can export it out in chunks, but when I try to export 11 or more minutes of it, I'm able to export new projects that are longer, but have less tracks, just fine.
