Premiere Pro CS6 settings problem

Hi, I was wondering if someone could help me. Basically, I've been trying out a number of settings and even making custom ones while using Premier Pro CS6 but cannot get them right. I record with a Nikon D5100 in the 1920x1080, 25fps. I want to post the videos to youtube but whenever I upload I end up seeing black borders around the videos. Could anyone help me with the setting as I am slowly losing hope! Thank you

  • Premiere Pro CS6 timeline problem

I used to have Premiere Pro 2.0. My computer crashed so I purchased Premiere Pro  CS6. My Nephew downloaded it. It is also activated. When I went to the program the icons for the timeline where there but no timeline were visible.  Is this normal or is there a problem with the program?

He's around here regularly. As in, answering in the thread "Trim tools" currently, a number of others. VERY experienced pro, works delivering content to b-cast & other use. Knows the keyboard shorts & 5 different ways to do about anything. Can be almost cryptic on answers. Send him a "pm" (private message) through the forum and he'll typically answer back.
Be specific. Be polite. Don't be shy. Don't expect a lot of "sensitivity". This is a work environment ... but in all, mostly very nice people, contributing of their own time ... and shooter, Jim Simon, Fuzzy, jeez ... a number of others ... quite willing to be very helpful if you're willing to try stuff and don't ... whine. But ask away.
Hey, he answers my questions ... and good criminy, some of 'em have been dumb enough looking back ...

  • Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 permissions problem

I've purchased membership in the Abobe Creative Cloud. All the apps work except Premiere Pro. When I'm logged into my normal account and try to start the app, I get this message:
Premiere Pro has encountered an error.
    [/Volumes/BuildDisk/builds/mightykilt/shared/adobe/MediaCore/ASL/Found ation/Make/Mac/../../Src/DirectoryRegistry.cpp-283]
If I log in as root, the app starts normally.
I've spoken to Adobe tech support. They say it's a permissions problem, not an Adobe problem. I've run Disk Utility and Repair Permissions, but I still cannot use Premiere.
Any advice will be much appreciated.

  • Problem to start Adobe Premiere Pro CS6

    Hi,
I've tried to solve this problem for days now. Have tried all kinds of troubleshooting, finally just updated from OS X Mountain Lion, have reinstalled and updated Premiere, also followed the tips here: Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 permissions problem
    Still nothing...
Premiere Pro has encountered an error.
    [/Volumes/BuildDisk/builds/mightykilt/shared/adobe/MediaCore/ASL/Found ation/Make/Mac/../../Src/DirectoryRegistry.cpp-283]
I'm using a(n older) macbook pro. The problem started last week, after I had installed Apple Logic Pro X and because of its huge need for space with 30GB of sounds (no option is given to download them on an external drive - which, excuse me for the term, seems kind of f***ed up:s), had to move around files to my external drive and aliased. Then did so for two larger Adobe folders as well. When I realized that I couldn't start Photoshop nor Premiere, I put those files back where they were. Photoshop went back to okay, but Premiere... absolutely nothing.
    What else could I do?
Would appreciate any help. Thanks so much.

  • Premiere Pro CS6 crashes whenever I go near Project Settings

    Hi all
I am using an official trial version of Premiere Pro CS6 as part of Creative Cloud. I am editing on my MacBook Pro 17" (newest model) with h.264 footage recorded on my Canon 550D.
Everything works fine, imports and edits like a dream. However, during editing, if I simply go to Project -> Project Settings -> General - then don't even change anything, just ok out of the dialog box then it crashes.
When I say crashes, the video disappears and I cannot do anything at all until I exit out and reboot. No messages appear until I do a 'force quit' and then I get the standard "A serious error has occurred" etc.
Of course the obvious solution is to not select Project Settings when editing! Which I will do for now, but I would like to think that I can change any settings I like without it crashing every time!
    Any thoughts?
    Regards
    Jason

On reading the advice on a separate thread I updated OSX from 10.7.3 to 10.7.4 which seems to have fixed the problem. Probably should have checked that first!

  • Export Problem (VBR, 2 Durchgänge) Premiere Pro CS6

    Hallo liebe Community!

  • BIG PROBLEM BETWEEN PREMIERE PRO CS6 and FAST TRACK PRO

Hi there...im running premiere pro cs6 on macbook pro 2010 with 8 gb of ram...im editing a project of hd material from a canon 5d..i got all the sound from an external recorder, all the sound is already syncronized... i need to do some cleaning on it....i got an USB fast track pro from M-audio that work well....
the problem is this : every time i have to send a clip to another aplication for the cleaning of the sound( audition with dynamic link or soundtrack pro exporting a .wav file) after a while (it can be a couple of minutes or more) i listene a clic on my headphones and the sound goes back to the speakers of the macbook pro, after that i must reconfigure again the audio hardware and audio output mapping again ( this happen almost with every clip and only between audition and premiere) anyway i started to use soundtrack pro to avoid this problem... but what is happening now is  that many times after i listen the clic on the headphones or after im tryng to go back from one audio application to premiere, premiere freeze out or shhot down....
the poject is kind of big and restart premiere 3 or 4 times in an hour of job in my mac book pro  its not what i call a productive hour oj job...

  • Strange audio problem in Premiere Pro CS6

    Hi
I have encountered a very strange problem. I am editing a documentary film in Premiere Pro. All material has been shot on the Sony FS 100 camera - imported into PP with the Media Browser. In one interview the last part of a clip has corrupted audio. At one point on the timeline the audio stops playing, and it sounds like a scratch on a vinyl record - two words repeating themselves to the end of the clip (See screenshot of timeline). The images are as they should. When I open the Avchd source clip in VLC the audio is working. When i Import the clip into Final Cut 7 using Log and Transfer the audio is working. My only other option would be that there is a software problem with Premiere Pro CS6. Any ideas of how to fix this issue?
    Version PP: 6.0.1
    Source footage: MPEG-4 AVCHD (1080/25p - Sony FS100)
    Version mac: OS x 10.8
Model Name:     Mac Pro Mid 2010
    Processor Name:     Quad-Core Intel Xeon
    Processor Speed:     2.4 GHz
    Number Of Processors:     2
    Total Number Of Cores:     8
    Memory: 20 GB
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce 570 GTX
    Third-party I/O: Matrox MXO2 with Max
    Mercury Playback Engine: Software mode

One similar, potential problem, that can develop, is when the Conforming process is interrupted, before it completes 100%.
A quick way to rule that out, would be to navigate to the Media Cache files, and Delete the CFA and PEK (Waveform Display) for that Clip, outside of Premiere Pro. Then, when you launch PrPro and Open your Project, the program will recreate both of those files. There is a little progress bar, that many do not notice. Let it complete 100%, before even touching the computer. Test.
I hope that it is as simple as that.
    Good luck,
    Hunt
