  • Can't get Adobe Premiere Pro CS5 to launch.

Can't get Adobe Premiere Pro CS5 to launch. I click the icon and get the circular (opening animated icon) for about 3 seconds and then nothing. I've have this problem before and rebooting worked - not this time. I've went into the Adobe Premiere preferences files in the USERs directory and deleted the Premiere Pro file as an option to fix this issue which I found on this discussion board and that didn't work either.

  • Premiere Pro crash on launch

Premiere Pro crash on launch (dvaui.dll fault) for one user, but not on random account created on same machine.
    How do fix?

Fonts can cause issues. First, corrupt fonts can cause launch hangs and Titler crashes. Next, there are some fonts that are not corrupt, but just do not work well with Adobe products. One such font is from SunMicro Systems, and installs with OpenOffice - Deja Vu. There are probably many, many more. Some fonts, like Isabelle and Isabella (by some different foundries too), will not cause issues, but just not display properly in many Adobe apps.
Fonts - you can't live without them, and sometimes it's tough to live with 'em, especially some.
Thanks for reporting and good luck,
    Hunt
PS - this ARTICLE covers some issues with Titler (can also apply to launch), but is highly PC-centric.

  • Premiere Pro doesn't recognize my monitor resolution.

My monitor has a 2560 x 1440 Pixel Resolution 27" LCD Display. I just switched from Premiere Pro CS6 to Premiere Pro CC. When I open the program, it says my monitor does not meet the minimum size requirements. It clearly doesn't recognize the high-res display. The video playback looks ragged. How can I fix this?

Well we need a lot more hardware data.  What GPU? How much VRAM? What driver version?
What CPU, memory, Mac or PC etc?

  • Adobe Premiere Pro error when launching software...

I am getting the following error when launching Adobe Premiere Pro CS6:
Adobe Premiere Pro could not find any capable video play modules. Please update your video display  drivers and start again.
I checked my drivers and they are up-to-date. I am using Core I7 Windows 7. I did have Adobe Premiere CS5 installed and it worked fine. When I subscribed to the Creative Cloud I uninstalled the CS5 installation and downloaded the CS6.

  • Premiere Pro doesn't show up in apps to download and i paid for the subscription

as the title says I have subscribed to premiere pro and it doesn't show up in apps on creative cloud.

You MUST have a 64bit computer... what is your computer?

  • Premiere pro doesn't open

Hi I have just downloaded adobe premiere pro trial version, however when I try and open the programme I get a message that says the application was unable to start correctly. I hope you can help me out.

    32 bit or 64 bit?
Premiere Pro CS6 is 64 bit only and requires a 64 bit processor and operating system. It will not install or run on 32 bit systems.

  • Adobe Premiere Pro doesn't recognise Sony camera

When I connect my Sony DCR-TRV245E Digital8 camcorder using the iLink (IEEE 1394) connection both Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 running under Windows XP Pro 32 bit and Adobe Premiere Pro CS5 running under Windows 7 Pro 64 bit recognise and control the camera well.
However, if I connect the same camera using the USB connection, neither version of Premiere Pro under either version of Windows will recognise it.
And, when I connect my newer Sony HDR-TD30VE camcorder, which only has a USB connection, neither version of Premiere Pro under either version of Windows will recognise it.
    Can anyone advise?

    Many thanks for your posting.
That was very helpful of you.
I take it you mean that when the Sony HDR-TD30VE camcorder is being used, the memory cards have to be copied onto the hard disc without using the Premiere Pro software; and then imported into Premiere Pro from there; and that Premiere Pro itself cannot control the camera directly.

  • Premiere Pro doesn't render .mov file properly

In Premiere Pro 1.5, I drop any .MOV on the timeline. When I play it back it shows about 1 frame for every 10. The sound is ok. When I inspect the file properties it shows 2.99 fps rather than 29.97 like it should.
Also, I get the same choppy behavior in the quicktime player. The file does play ok on 1) other windows computers (quicktime) and 2) through a freeware player called VLC on the "problem" computer.
I have reinstalled quicktime. version is 7.3.1

Premiere Pro can have issues with regard to .mp3 files.  It is best to convert them to .wav files in either Audition or the free Audacity and then bring them into Premiere Pro.

  • CS5.5 Premiere Pro & After Effects launch in one user profile but not the other

I’m having two issues. One with AE getting hung up on loading the MediaCore and the other with Premiere Loading the ExpoerterQuickTime.bundle I’ve looked and looked for solutions and haven’t found any with my problem.
I’m running a Mid-2010 MBP 8GB RAM with Lion and CS5.5 I’ve done a uninstall and reinstalled and still same problem. It works on other user profiles on my computer but not mine and that’s the one with all the content! Any help?
I launched AE with Alt+Command+Shift down which reset my preferences and whatnot but then it gave me a warning about the MediaCore and let me continue but now it's hung up on the the user interface. I don't know what to do. Any help from anybody would be greatly appreciated!!!
    UPDATE
Loggin in as the Super Admin User worked for Premiere for whatever reason which is awesome! Thanks!
However After Effects is still looking for that MediaCore. And now Media Encoder isn't working. (Not that I really use it but if it doesn't work the issue might be somewhere else. Again. I tried all of these in the Super User account and the other normal account and they worked fine. Just not here in mine. Any ideas for that?
I don't have any firewalls up, It's all wide open. And I tried the second option there of removing all of the quicktime plugins in the Quicktime folder but it still gets hung up on the MediaCore.
I went into the super user and edited a AE project then came out and open the project instead of the dock icon and it went on and gave me the quicktime isn't installed bit and something might not work properly. But from playing around in it I've not seen anything different. This is an extrememly frustrating situation. I can get both programs open now but it's all janky and isn't working properly. I consider Premier to be a done deal, it's got no issues. I just need to figure out this mediacore business.
Original Post from the Premier Forum, thought I'd get better luck here in the AE one. Thank you for any help!
    http://forums.adobe.com/message/3901233#3901233

Yea, it's the main account i use. So I got all the permissions set up correctly. The rest of the CS suite open just fine it's just those two that give me hickups.

  • Premiere Pro crashing on launch

    Hi,
I'm getting stuck on a .vst plugin for Halion in steinberg. First off, I don't need vst plugins in Premiere and second, I need to delete whatever is causing this ASAP so I can work on a project. Cancelling doesn't fix anything and it crashes on launch.
    any ideas?
    thanks,
    Dave

The VST's are most likely .dll files. I'd check Cubase and maybe its plug-in folder.
Basically, there are three things that will happen when PrPro loads the VST's:
1.) they load and function fine in PrPro.
2.) they load, but cannobe be used by PrPro. The first time that PrPro encounters the VST, there will be a message telling the user that it will not work. Still, it loads and all is fine. You will not see that message again.
3.) they attempt to load, but hang PrPro.
    Good luck in finding this/these.

  • Final Cut Pro, doesn't launch after updating to 5.1.4.

    Hello there,
I tried opening an older project with the version 5.1. but it only gave me an GENERAL ERROR 41. Then I downloaded the update to 5.1.4. and the application doesn't event want to launch anymore!!
What can I do, what else could've gone wrong. Before the update, I was able to open the program, but now not eve that! The logo jumps on the sidebar, the numbers start running on the opening screen, and then it turns it self off again. I already disconnected and reconnected my scratch disks, restarted the computer several time, etc...what else can I try!
    HELP!!

    Trash your preferences.
You can use a third party tool to do this, such as the venerable <a href="http"//fcprescue.andersholck.com">FCP Rescue or the more feature rich Preferences Manager ... both are free.
or you can do it yourself
    excepted below:
    Delete the User Preferences
You can resolve many issues by restoring Final Cut Pro back to its original settings. This will not impact your project files, but you should verify your Scratch Disk location setting after doing this. To reset your Final Cut Pro user preference settings to their original state, do the following:
In the Finder, go to ~/Library/Preferences—the tilde (~) represents your Home folder.
Remove the "com.apple.finalcutpro.plist" file from the Preferences folder.
Remove the "Final Cut Pro User Data" folder from the Preferences folder.

  • Premiere CS4 doesn't launch media encoder when exporting. Please help!

Trying to finish up a project but my school just upgraded to cs4 this week. It's running on a mac. I tried to export to no avail, watched a tutorial and saw that media encoder is supposed to launch on export. Since it wasn't launching, I went to media encoder and launched it seperately and re-exported. It still did not work. Is there a patch that needs downloading? Please help me get through this. I need to wrap this up ASAP.
    Thanks!

Here's a great thread I found. Not the answer I was hoping to hear though...

  • When I try and launch Premiere Pro CS6 I get dynamiclinkmanager quit unexpectedly

And Premiere Pro CC never launches. And the dynamiclinkmanager window keeps coming up, to the point that i can't do anything else as the window just keeps going to the foreground. CS6 all works perfectly fine.
I am on a MacPro 4,1 running 10.8.4 with 24GB of RAM and a PC NVIDIA GTX 670 graphics card.
And honestly nothing is working in the creative cloud. Adobe Media Encoder instantly quits. Adobe Photoshop seemed to open, but forcible sends me to this web page http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/membership/index.cfm?nf=1&nl=1&productID=598&release=1.0&plat form=2&locale=en_US&source=PCSNOTIF which reads 413 Header Length Too Large and it freezes and starts the dynamiclinkmanager quit cycle again. Illustrator says Can't print the illustration. Disk full error has occured while it's printing and then quit.
I have gotten bridge cc to launch, and that is it.

Here is my Premiere Pro Dynamic Link Crash log in txt file form. Here is my Photoshop Dyanmic Link Crash.
