Premiere pro doesn't open

Hi I have just downloaded adobe premiere pro trial version, however when I try and open the programme I get a message that says the application was unable to start correctly. I hope you can help me out.

32 bit or 64 bit?
Premiere Pro CS6 is 64 bit only and requires a 64 bit processor and operating system. It will not install or run on 32 bit systems.

For your addressbook, export the files to vCard on the PowerMac, then bring them over to your Mac Pro. For your iPhoto, copy the Users -> yourname -> Pictures folder to your Desktop on the Mac Pro, and open iPhoto on the Mac Pro holding the command and option keys.  Select the library file from that Pictures folder and open it.  It should import all the pictures into iPhoto as part of the rebuild process.  Other PowerPC to Intel migration issues are covered here: https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-2295

  • Can't seem to get Premiere Pro CC to open.

subscribed to the CC. down loaded other CC program but can't seem to get Premiere Pro CC to open.

Mac or PC? Basic specs on your machine ... CPU/RAM/GPU? This can at times have an affect on PrPro working ... especially say if your computer is running a 32-bit system or less than adequate RAM.
Also ...at times some people have to go in and set permissions for the program or administrator privileges before it will run, so I'd check those.

  • Premiere Pro CC not opening Project or AutoSaves!!

    Hi Guys,
If anyone can help I'd be grateful as I am up against a major deadline after about 1 months work and all of a sudden Premiere Pro won't open this project!! I just starts to open and then I get this error message:
Can't get into this project or any of my auto saves of the same project? HELP!!
Only thing I can remember doing recently (although it was working fine since this) was updating my Nvidia and Cuda Drivers. I also installed NewBlue FX Plugin ColorFast. Would any of these cause the problem?
Any advice really gratefully received as I am starting to panic!
    Cheers,
    Alex

I've just come accross this bug too. I moved some of my media (one music file a .aiff) in the finder from one folder to another on the shared storage where my media is kept). I moved it purely for tiding purposes.
When I went to reopen my PremiereProCC project it would not open. It would get passed the Open Project timebar but then just hang.
When I moved the audio file back to it's original place the project opened fine.
This is a bit wierd because it has found offline files before but for some reason moving this audio file freaked PPCC out.
I've tried moving the audio file again and reopening and it would not open, moving it back and hey presto the project opens again.
The autosaves would also not open because of this file being moved.
It's very odd because I've had to relink a whole project before in PPCC because I'd transfered the media to a new drive but when you move one small file it can't handle it.
This bug needs to be sorted as I've just jumped from editing on FCP7 for the last 10 years and can't afford for stuff like this to happen.
If anyone has any clues on how to ensure that PPCC can relink moved media that would be great.
    Cheers

  • How to convert avi H264 to a format that Premiere Pro CS6 will open

Premiere Pro will not open my video files, Media Encoder will only change to F4v and Premiere Pro wont open that either.
I noticed that when I start a "New" project the "Render choice is grayed out and will not allow me to choose.
What do I need to open these types of files?
    Thanks

H.264 will not work inside an AVI wrapper http://forums.adobe.com/thread/854115
-Insignia camera uses H.264 to either AVI... or SOME models to MOV wrapper
-so use the MOV wrapper if YOUR Insignia camera offers that option
-Says VLC will convert in reply #6 http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1172956

  • Adobe Premiere Pro no longer opening on my Mac

I have Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2014 on my Mac. My monthly subscription doesn't end until late November. I've been using Adobe Premiere Pro for over a month with no problems; lately, the playback has been slower, but I figured this was due to my slow hard drive/ larger media files/increased use of effects (and this may be the case, but I figured I'd mention this if there is a connection). The main problem is that Adobe Premiere Pro just WON'T open. The main screen opens up but every time it freezes at "Loading ExporterQuickTimeHost.bundle", as you can see in the screen shot. I then always need to force quit the application..... I urgently need a fix to this problem.

Not sure if these will help, but the only links I have

  • Premiere Pro doesn't recognize my monitor resolution.

My monitor has a 2560 x 1440 Pixel Resolution 27" LCD Display. I just switched from Premiere Pro CS6 to Premiere Pro CC. When I open the program, it says my monitor does not meet the minimum size requirements. It clearly doesn't recognize the high-res display. The video playback looks ragged. How can I fix this?

Well we need a lot more hardware data.  What GPU? How much VRAM? What driver version?
What CPU, memory, Mac or PC etc?

  • Premiere Pro 7 wont open

    Hi
I have been using premiere pro 7 for the last few months with no problems. I recently installed after affects and then the other day premiere pro decided to not open.
It doesn't give me any message of error etc - just says force closed.
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling but no difference.
I then opened windows in safe mode and when i did this it did seem to load but then crashed saying that the audio drivers were out of date
I updated my audio drivers and retried. Still no success. I have tried uninstalling after effects but stilll no change. I tried uninstalling my sound card and then reinstalling it but no change.
I have been scouring the web for answers but I have yet to find anything that has worked.
Apart from downloading after effects nothing has changed, so I am a bit confused as to why it has now decided to stop working
    Please help if you can

Welcome to the forum. Unfortunately, you have posted to the Premiere Elements Forum. That is a different program, from Premiere/Premiere Pro. You want the Premiere-Premiere Pro CS4 & Earlier Forum.
I would add more detail on your computer, there.
    Good luck,

  • Titler in my Premiere Pro CC stoped opening - how do I fix this problem?

Last night I opened an edit in Premiere Pro CC, I made edits to a sequence, color graded clips, put in transitions etc. Then I went to create a Title and the Titler wouldn't open. I'm stuck. How do I fix this? I tryed to Unistall and reinstall, but the Creative Cloud wouldn't give me an option to do so. I'm stuck and need to finish my work. What do I do?
    Thanks...

The first thing I'd try is to reset the workspace: Window>Workspace>Reset Current Workspace.
If that doesn't do the trick, then try clearing the app prefs. To do so, hold the following keys while launching:
    Mac: Shift+Option
    PC: Shift+Alt

    Hi justinB,
    Welcome to the Forums.
Please go to the location of the mentioned aticfx.dll and move it to your desktop. This file might be a result of bad installation of Graphics Drivers. Please launch the Premier Pro and check if it works.

  • Premiere Pro won't open

I just downloaded Premiere Pro onto my PC from the Creative Cloud Website but every time I try to open it it says that the program has stopped working. Other programs I've downloaded from the site such as Photoshop work fine so I don't know what's wrong. Has anyone else had this problem? And how can I fix it?

What is your exact brand/model graphics adapter (ATI or nVidia or ???)
What is your exact graphics adapter driver version?
Have you gone to the vendor web site to check for a newer driver?
For Windows, do NOT rely on Windows Update to have current driver information
-you need to go direct to the vendor web site and check updates for yourself
    ATI Driver Autodetect http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/auto-detect-tool
    nVidia Driver Downloads http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us
Dual video problems - Do you have dual graphics adapters?
Go to the Windows Control Panel and select Hardware and Sound and then select Device Manager... In Device manager you click the + sign to the left of Display Adapters... and see if 2 are listed
    IF YES, read below

  • Adobe Premiere Pro CC not opening an xml file created in Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2014

    Hello,
I had created a project using Adobe Premiere CC 2014 which had some minor changes, which were going to be done by my boss, who uses Premiere Pro CC. However the project file of Adobe Premiere CC 2014 was not getting opened in Premiere Pro CC giving a message of type that as this file was created in a newer version of Premiere, it cannot be opened. After searching on this forum I found that we have to convert the Premiere Pro CC 2014 project file to XML file which can be then imported onto Premiere CC. So I created a XML file by selecting File-> Export -> Final Cut Pro XML and sent it to my boss. However even the xml file is not getting opened after being imported onto Premiere Pro CC giving an error of sorts, Cannot open the file since there is a problem with the codecs.
Have I done something wrong? Please guide me since I am a beginner to the Adobe environment and would very much appreciate any help.
    Thank you.

Indeed..... but are they fully documented, includuing Adobe's implementation of Multicam?
Collapsing them should really be no more than a day or two of work for an Adobe engineer and a day of beta testing.  Seriously.  Lots of people want this - it only takes a few minutes with google to find people struggling with this exact problem.   Premiere Pro Multicam --> Resolve.
Since we do a lot of multicam work it's something that's important to us.
Lots of other people never go near multicam, so I guess for them it's something they really don't care about.
I currently have > 22 hours of multicam sequences that need primary colour correction and follow on grading..... resolve would be the best choice by far.
