Premiere Pro Download Fail

My first download attempt for Premiere Pro failed. I clicked to Retry to no avail. Next, I tried deleting whatever part of Premiere that was actually on my hard drive. I clicked on the option to uninstall Premiere. It said it was successful. When I went back to re-download Premiere, it said that it couldn't find it. So I riffled through my trash and put it back in the applications file. Subsequent attempts to re-download have also failed. Any ideas on what to do now? It seems like it still thinks I have a copy on my hard drive that has failed to upload correctly. The icon shows in the top of the download window where updates are performed. Lost as to how to proceed. Sure would appreciate any insight.

  • PSQ Import in Premiere Pro CC fails

    Hello,
I noticed that PSQ (Adobe Premiere 6 Storyboard) file import in Premiere Pro CC fails with a General Importer Error, although it's officially supported as stated in the manual (http://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/using/transferring-importing-files.html). Import in CS6 works without problems. I already submitted a bug report.
Since I'm using this feature quite a lot - it'd be great to have this working again asap.
Can you please help and fix this?
    Thanks a lot!

    Hi Jack,
Please check the below Forum thread and roll back to the Initial version 7.0 of Premiere Pro CC. You can choose to update Premiere Pro CC to the desired version from the below links.

  • [URGENT HELP NEEDED] Premiere Pro CS6 failed rendering

    Hello!
I`ll try to make this quick because I need help asap. I`ve been starting to make YouTube gaming videos 3 weeks ago and my channel is growing up pretty fast. I promised I would make a video everyday but it`s been a full week since I couldn`t upload because I was busy and when I tried to render it failed.
Anyway here`s how it goes.I`ve recorded with fraps some gameplay footage with the resolution of 1360x706. One of my friends reccommanded me Adobe Premiere Pro for editing so I`m using the trial version of CS6. I create a new project and choose a format of 720 25 (cant really remember the exact name). I then import my recorded files and when I place them in the sequence it tells me the resolution is different and asks me if I want to change the sequence settings according to the files. Usually, I ignore it and when I export the Media I just tick the option: "Scale to Fill" and that usually works just fine, quality HD on YT...
But this week it has driven me crazy, I really don`t want to explain how much stress and dissapointment this has caused to me because I think I`ll end up raging...I`ll just tell you I`ve been trying for a couple of days more than 7 time to render the project(each time it takes about an hour and a bit more, so let`s just call it 7 hours wasted). The problem actually is that when I check the output file after exporting the media, the file size is ONLY 24 bytes!!! Other times the file size gets to like half of the one that should be or less, but mainly the render even so takes up a normal length of time of processing but in the end the file is only 24 bytes..Thing is I don`t encounter any error whatsoever...
I really need some urgent help!
    Thanks!

  • Premiere Pro CS5 fails to export to Media Encoder CS5

    Hello all,
I'm working with Adobe Premiere Pro CS5 Version 5.0.3 on two 64 bit Windows 7 computer systems (laptop and desktop). On my laptop everything works fine and has for some time. We recently installed CS5 on this desktop (new computer). Using the same settings that I use on my laptop, I can encode video by going to File->Export->Media and selecting Export. However, if I chose to Queue the media into Adobe Media Encoder version 5.0.1 it fails to work. Media Encoder opens properly, and the progress bar for exporting the media goes to 100% and disappears like it should. At that point no file appears in the queue. Any help as to what is happening? I'm not receving any error messages that could give me a hint...
    Thanks!

    Hi Bill,
Thanks for the response. Due to the intermittent nature of this problem I wanted to test more thorougly and can confirm that the files are PCM at 44.1Khz. The error message is, "The file format is not supported", and IIRC the files opened fine in Flash (which will be explained later). Audacity successfully opens the files.
I have resolved the issue and discovered exactly where the 'fault' lies.
Adobe determines the file type by it's filename - rather than using methods in Cocoa library or by looking at the RIFF header. My files are titled, "yyyy.mm.ddName" (Reason/Record does not automatically add the extension in this case), however some files were titled "yyyy-mm-ddName.aif". The former (with periods) would result in the filename extension being truncated from the file's name, but the file 'Kind' is still identified as an "Aif C Audio".
On OSX, any file with an unknown extension should also have it's file type checked using the Cocoa Library since the OS does keep record of the file type that can (and should) be used by applications.
A fix to this in the code is that under OSX, the Cocoa Library file methods should also consult the file type - given that many programs on OSX may happily save without explicitly using an extension in the file name.\
Flash (which didn't yield this problem) may have additional code to ascertain the filetype by seeing if it recognizes the data (given that Flash interracts with streammed data that would not have a file extension).

  • University version of CC: Why won't Premiere Pro download? I'm able to download other items but nothing is happening with Premiere Pro. Any thoughts?

Hi, I've just installed a University version of Adobe Creative Cloud. I was able to get through the redemption portion. Premiere Pro won't download and it is not showing up on my app list in the manager. Any help with with this?

  • Premiere Pro Download issues

    Hello,
I am a CC member and have used Dreamweaver on my PC downloaded from the CC manager. When I try to get Premiere Pro it is not available in the cloud manager tool on my PC, yet on the download centre in my account it has the link to download.
Do I have access to Premiere Pro in my CC account, and if so, why isnt it available in the CC manager on my desktop?
    Thanks for your assistance.

Your system does not meet the requirements. the locally installed CC app knows, but of course the web version can't.

  • New Premiere Pro Download Crashes Often

Since downloading the update for Premiere Pro CC last week, my program crashes all the time now.
Where with the old version of CC my computer was fine and had very few crashes.
    Anyone else having this problem?

    Hi Aircam Productions,
Can we get more info please? FAQ: What information should I provide when asking a question on this forum?

  • Premiere Pro Downloading error:  Administrative privileges required?

I am trying to download Premiere Pro onto my laptop.  The download goes for a while with "updating Adobe Application Manager."  Then I get an error message that says "We've encountered the following issue:  Administrator privileges are required to continue with the installation."  I am the only user on my computer.  How do I fix this so the installation will complete?

right click the installation file>click 'run as administrator'.

  • Encore not with Premiere Pro Download?

I downloaded the Premiere Pro cs3 trial version. I then upgraded it to the full version but for some reason cannot seem to export via Encore. It seems as if Encore is not installed or setup right? What do you think the problem would be?

Seems like anyone who upgraded online would have known that. It brings a full-screen page with your 3 sets of serial numbers (Premiere Pro, Encore and Onlocation). You have to click on the download links from that screen and even on an 800 x 600 monitor I think all download links should be visible.
He must be running at 640 x 480 or obtained the program elsewhere... I wonder why it didn't come with Encore installation files. Weird.

  • Premiere Pro update fail.

So I made the classic mistake of updating Premiere Pro before I finished my latest project. The cut opens but when applying an effect (MB Looks) it doesn't apply to the clip selected. I'm wonder if it's a weird database issue. Anyone else having a issue.

    Hi Dankloster,

I'm having issues as well. I updated to 2014.1 this morning. It opened fine, however when I tried to open a file I created in CC 2014, it told me I had to update it to the newer version. Just as it finishes, Premiere crashes.
I tried to open an older project in the new version and also crashed on launch. Trashing my preferences solved that issue. Can you try that? If this doesn't work, update your video drivers if you can.
Please don't take this the wrong way, but in the future, I would advise you to not update any project files until a project is complete (if at all possible). If you feel you must update, please make sure to duplicate your project file so that you have a working back up. This is something I was taught years ago and has served me well as a crucial back up step.
You can also check your Auto Save folder or the Creative Cloud folder for a potential backup, if that preference was set correctly.

I've now just un-installed Premiere CC 2014.1 and will install from scratch. Hopefully that will work.
    Yes, please. Let us know.

I'm kind of stuck, as I can't open my file with Premiere CC either as the file is too new. I wish there was a way I could just roll back to CC 2014 as otherwise I will have lost days of work!
You can't really roll back a project file, per se. You can try opening the project in XML format in older versions. That works most of the time. You can certainly roll back Premiere Pro to a previous version, however. Here's how: http://blogs.adobe.com/kevinmonahan/2014/01/29/revert-to-a-previous-version-of-premiere-pr o-cc-or-any-creative-cloud-application/

  • Premiere Pro exports fail to recognize changes made to Dynamic Link through After Effects

    Hi there,
I am having an issue with Premiere Pro CC and Dynamic Links/After Effects CC.
I will be working within the PP CC timeline using footage, and then add motion graphics using Adobe Dynamic Link to AE CC. I notice an error in timing, or spelling, colouring - literally any type of error in AE CC that I want to correct. I go to AE CC and make the correction, go back to PP CC, and it shows up as changed. I go back to AE CC, purge media cache, memory, etc. and save the workfile. I go back to PP CC and export using Media Encoder. After waiting for the export to complete, I find it maintained the same error from a previous edit.
Does anyone know why this would be? Is there any way to avoid having to restart every time I make a small change to an edit?
Thank you in advance for any insight.

It has now happened to myself and my co-worker. The only way we have been able to "solve" the problem is by deleting cache/restarting both programs/restarting the entire computer. It shows up as changed within the Premiere project, as well as in the preview in Adobe Media Encoder - and then the final output does not reflect those changes.
Another suggested workaround to anyone else out there who is problem solving is exporting directly from Premiere, but none of these solutions seem to work 100% of the time, nor really address what this problem really could be stemming from.

  • Premiere pro cc failing to export my project

im trying to export a project out of premiere pro cc but it either stops shortly after starting or doesnt start at all! i havent changed any exporting setting from what i normally export project in ( i only change the format to h.264 and the preset to match source which has worked fine for the past year! any ideas what could be wrong?

Hi, I am having this exact issue. In my case, both versions of PPro are exactly the same, base version installed from Creative Cloud client with no plugins used.
Project opens with no issues on one pc and wont open on the pc it was originally created on. It does not crash or say 'not responding' but assets and sequences wont load
as Kristine describes. I have tried creating a new project and importing the old one; the assets appear but the program seems to freeze up as I cant interact with anything and
hear the windows ping noise with every click. The project is very simple; a low bitrate .mp4 video with .mp3 and .wav sound effects added.

  • Adobe Premiere Pro downloads.

Why don't have the Adobe Premiere Pro option in my Adobe Application Manager?

If Premiere Pro is missing from the Adobe Application Manager then it is likely your computer may not meet one or more of the system requirements.  Please see the system requirements for Premiere Pro CS6 at http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/system-requirements- premiere-pro.html#Adobe%20Premiere%20Pro%20CS6%20system%20requirements.  You will want to ensure that you meet or exceed all of the listed system requirements.
