Premiere Pro Downloading error:  Administrative privileges required?

I am trying to download Premiere Pro onto my laptop.  The download goes for a while with "updating Adobe Application Manager."  Then I get an error message that says "We've encountered the following issue:  Administrator privileges are required to continue with the installation."  I am the only user on my computer.  How do I fix this so the installation will complete?

right click the installation file>click 'run as administrator'.

  • Premiere Pro CC2014 error ComponentFactory.cpp-69

I tried to open a project that I started with CS6 and tried to open in CC2014. It contains prores422 .mov files, Premiere Pro Debug Event pop up appears with message,
Premiere Pro has encountered an error.
    [..\..\Src\Component\ComponentFactory.cpp-69]
I noticed someone (drbuhion Mar 19, 2014 1:07 AM) asked this question (Premiere Pro CC error ComponentFactory.cpp-69) and there was no answer. Any chance of resolving it?

Thanks Mark. I just reinstalled Premiere Pro CC 2014 a few days ago and used the Adobe Cleaner to resolve a different issue this week. (It worked.)
I had to start a project with a client’s laptop, which has CS6, then finish it at my home office, where I use CC 2014 (which I love). Granted, I’ll probably be in a jam if I have to edit it on that client’s laptop for some reason, but I don’t think that will happen.
Oddly, a different project that I did on that client’s laptop with CS6 opened fine (which actually will benefit from the features of CC 2014).
For what it’s worth, I worked around the problem by starting over with a new project to re-do the problematic one, using my PC with CC 2014.

It means what it says - you have to run as admin or a similar user with sufficient user privileges.

  • Lync 2010 won't download - error says it requires Windows 7

    Lync 2010 won't download - error says it requires Windows 7 BUT I HAVE WINDOWS 7 !!
Very frustrating. After using Lync 2010 for the last year it did an auto-update and at first said it was missing a file. So I uninstalled and reinstalled and now am told that "Only windows XP3, Windows Vista and Windows 7 are supported. Please upgrade
your PC" But I DO have Windows 7.
Yes I know it's old. My new PC is sitting here waiting for me to change over but that can't happen for another month or so as I need more memory in it. In the meantime, I need to get my Lync 2010 working again.
    Any help is greatly appreciated!

    Hi,
This was finally figured out by someone internal to my company, a Lync specialist. This is what the solution was (in I.T. speak - sorry, I'm not I.T.):
Resolution: Checked and found COE was configured to run on XP SP3 where the minimum requirement is SP3
He definitely was opening files and checking boxes way beyond my simple "uninstall" and "reinstall".
    Thanks!

    Grazie in anticipo dell'aiuto
I downloaded Adobe Premiere Pro, and every time I try to run it I get this message: "Error starting Adobe premiere pro. Premiere Pro can not access the preferences folder. It 'possible that the user does not have permission ... .. ". I tweaked the permissions of the folders, but continues to repeat the same message, without even allowing the applications to open. What can I do?
P.S. The strange thing is that Premiere is the only program that harbor the "pro" ... all the others are just CC. I do not know if it can be a factor ....
    Thanks in advance aid

Doing Run as Administrator http://forums.adobe.com/thread/969395 [says Encore and also for "All" versions of Premiere] will sometimes fix "odd" errors

  • Premiere Pro 2014 error "An unknown error occured while opening this program"

I can no longer open my current project. It tries to loan then I get the error message.  Just downloaded the latest updates to Premiere Pro cc 2014 and the problem is still there.  I tried loading an atuo saved version of the project with the same result.  Any suggestions of how to recover my project will be appreciated.

    Hi Matt,
Sorry to hear you're having this problem, but until you provide information about your system, the version of Premiere, etc., nobody can begin to help.
You'd probably be best off starting your own thread in case the cause of your issue differs from what RWRobert220 is facing.
Also, if you search the forum for "crash on launch," you'll find a number of threads. Focus on the ones with the green bubble indicating that it's been resolved.

  • Adobe Premiere Pro serious error CS3

    Hi All,
Thought I would share this error with Premiere Pro CS3 with you all:
"Sorry, a serious error occurred that requires Adobe Premiere Pro to shut down"
Sure, you've all seen it before. I have some quite specific instances of the problem though. PP CS3 is fairly stable most of the time. But I have noticed that the above error appears when I double click Dynamics in the Audio Mixer. That is, I put Dynamics into the effects list on one channel in the sequence and double click it to change the compression details and the error appears.
The weird thing is, it NEVER does it the first time I do it. I add another sequence to my project, drop some DV onto it, add Dynamics to the audio channel drop down box, double click it (or right click and select Edit) and it ALWAYS errors. It's definately doing it ever single SECOND time.
Some details? I'm running Vista 64 Home Premium OEM. Intel Q6600 Quad Core (it's currently over clocked to 3.0GHz). 4Gb Corsair XMS2 DDR2 RAM. An Abit P35 board and a few 500Gb SATA drives for video. My Vista 64 install is fairly clean as I only changed to Vista recently and I dare not use my edit box for anything dodgy. It has a couple of games on it that don't have any issues.
I'm thinking the problem must be something to do with Premiere Pro itself, my HD Realtek Audio drivers or something about Vista 64. I have seen this error loads when I Google it but I have never seen someone log it specifically for double clicking effects in the Audio Mixer. I'm not yet going to have a fiddle around with my system to try and fix it because I have a valuable project on the go and not enough time to redo it if I break it. But once I have finished my current project, I may try a few things like resintalling CS3 and playing around with drivers.
In the meantime, any ideas out there? :-)
    Regards,
    A.

Allan, the original poster is on a PC. As far as I know, Realtek cards are not used in mac computers.
To look at Audio Settings on your Mac (which I'm assuming is OSX) you'll need to go System Preferences > (Hardware) > Sound.

  • Premiere Pro Download issues

    Hello,
I am a CC member and have used Dreamweaver on my PC downloaded from the CC manager. When I try to get Premiere Pro it is not available in the cloud manager tool on my PC, yet on the download centre in my account it has the link to download.
Do I have access to Premiere Pro in my CC account, and if so, why isnt it available in the CC manager on my desktop?
    Thanks for your assistance.

Your system does not meet the requirements. the locally installed CC app knows, but of course the web version can't.

  • FRUSTRATED WITH PREMIERE PRO SUBSCRIPTION ERRORS AND ADOBE SUPPORT!!!

First of all, Im a paying CC customer of Premiere Pro, Photoshop and Lightroom, all 3 apps from Adobe CC. Last 2 years, no issue! But since last few months, Im really tired of this.
Premiere Pro CC stops completely and shows me EXPIRED screen and even I try to login to CREATIVE CLOUD, the Creative Cloud doesnt allow me to login. I had to find some fix , and delete some index files from adobe folders as per the last discussion here in the forum and that had fixed it once, now again the same thing has started and it just doesnt get solved.
    Now, I see this.
Now, from where the heck, did this SERIAL NUMBER thing came from ?
Im a paying customer of CC and why do I get this serial number thing ?
Im not able to work on my client projects since last 2 days and really annoyed at this.
contacted Adobe support and they created a ticket, but when I reply to the ticket, it says, its a no reply email. WTF!!
The worst ever support I found is adobe. There is no one to fix your issues in real time. No proper helpdesk.
Now for god sake, can someone help me fix this issue so I can access my photoshop and premiere pro immediately ??I
If I dont find a solution in next 3 hours, I would be forced to terminate all accounts with Adobe and just go ahead and download from torrent. I think, thats what Adobe wants their customers to do.
    Really really annoying product!
