Premiere Pro export problems
I have been having problems exporting from Premiere Pro with my MacBook Pro with OSX 10.9. My exports have dropped frames, sometimes black, sometimes green, sometimes striped or mosaic patterns... I tried updating, I tried de-installing and re-installing. I was trying to export HD 25p but I also tried to export using sequence settings and that didn't work either. I also tried using Media Encoder. My original footage was HDV. I was initially working from a WD external drive with FW800 to thunderbolt adapter, but I've also tried working from a USB3 external drive and also from my internal drive; it makes no difference. The only "solution" I found to the problem was when I exported using a friend's computer.
Previous to this problem I had been using Premiere Pro CS6 version because that was compatible with the edit suites I had been using at my University. But my project file developed some kind of bug whereby it was expanding virtually exponentially every time it saved. So it became so large (up to 5GB) that the computer crashed whenever it tried to autosave. When I converted the project to a CC project this problem seemed to be overcome, so I continued to work with CC from my lap-top. But then I had the problems when I came to export.
i've been told by a friend that it is a render problem, not true dropped frames. the frames come out green, or striped, or mosaic-effect...

Premiere Pro CS4 - Problems with mpeg2 export file
Hello!
I shoud get export a one videofile (mpeg2 D-10, 4:2:2) with 4 audio channels (two stereo track). Audio must be .wav and PCM. The end result shoud be on channel 1 and 2, which has music, effects and narration. Channels 3 and 4, everything else, but without narration. (tv company wants to change narration language).
The problem is that Premiere Pro cs4 connects two separate stereo tracks to one stereo track when I export mpeg2 file. Another problem is that Premiere Pro does not accept PCM audio if I have any multiplexing setting selected. If I select none multiplexing, audio is seperate from the video file.
I have now about 150 test clips with different settings, nothing works...So, please help me! What shoud I do? Is this possible with Premiere Pro CS4 and Adobe Media Encoder? If so, how it can be done?I don't believe the end result is possible with Premiere Pro alone. You'll have to export out am .m2v file, and two separate .wav files. Then look to other tools to mux them together.

Premiere Pro Exported Audio Problem
I'm using Premiere Pro to edit the videos I just shot and I used the DeNoiser effect to get rid of the background hissing from my mic. The problem is when I export the movies the first few seconds of each clip have the background hiss and then it goes away. It isn't there when I am working on the file, only after it has been exported. Have you ever seen this or know how to fix it?
This happens sometimes. It would be better to do your audio work in Audition.

Premiere Pro Export of AVCHD 'Shaky' Effect
Hi!
I'm working in premiere pro natively with AVCHD footage. I haven't had any problems editing in premiere, everything looks great, but when I export the sequence I get this strange 'shaky' effect specifically on my effects such as dissolves or text or adding movement to a photo. I made sure 'Frame Blend' is unchecked, I tried clicking 'always deinterlace' and 'flicker removal' but those didn't help either. Does anyone else have any ideas?Sorry to hijack the thread, as I am in a similar boat. I am working on an ongoing project. I have cut a concert, then created a trailer all done in PP3. I brought in the song files from the concert(quicktime 960x720 raylight encoded) created clips that I wanted to use for the trailer and added some overlay titles. I need to export H.264 and used a custom setup that I have used many times already. When I go to export it gets 3 frames from the end and says "unknown error" I have been reading through the forum and many posts state there may be a corrupt clip. I went through and removed 1 clip at a time from the sequence and exported, every time it will stop. I disabled the text overlays with the same result. I disabled the audio track with the same result. I exported the movie to an uncompressed AVI and started a new project(DVCProHD 720P24) with that and the audio file created in Audition. Tried exporting to H.264 with the same failed results. As I said before I have used H.264 with no issues many times before.
Additional history with this is, earlier this week I encountered the problem of the Media encoder not showing up. I followed the instrucions for the fix and that is working correctly now. I also saw notices of people having issues with various versions of quicktime, specifically v7.4 and higher, I am running V7.6(472)quicktime pro. I was going to revert to 7.3 but on the uninstall it stated that I will loose the pro capabilities(can I just put the serial number back in?), so I did not revert. All other export functions work correctly. -

Here the result when a project is open :
Thanks in advance !I 've been in relation with an "support technician" (i dont know how to define this fonction in english...), really useless... But few hours later I found this in my mail box. A potential answer (i didnt test it) to this problem (Sorry but the mail is in english and french.... Verry 'confortable' comme on dit chez nous...

Premiere Pro update problem and AME bug
After renaming the folders and emptying the Media Cache database in the Preferences I thought everything was working, that is until I exported my project to the updated Adobe media encoder. There was no audio playing back from the rendered file and my clips from the Canon 5d were missing which are not acvhd. This is a multi-cam project and the audio that was used was from the acvhd clips. Pretty weird..... So I tried exporting the project from within Premiere to bypass the AME and it worked perfect.
In AME, please go to Preferences>General and disable the Import Sequences Natively option. Then export the sequence from Premiere Pro to AME and see if the problem persists.
If this change resolves the issue, then we'll be interested in getting a copy of the project, if possible, to test with. -
Premiere Pro exports fail to recognize changes made to Dynamic Link through After Effects
Hi there,
I am having an issue with Premiere Pro CC and Dynamic Links/After Effects CC.
I will be working within the PP CC timeline using footage, and then add motion graphics using Adobe Dynamic Link to AE CC. I notice an error in timing, or spelling, colouring - literally any type of error in AE CC that I want to correct. I go to AE CC and make the correction, go back to PP CC, and it shows up as changed. I go back to AE CC, purge media cache, memory, etc. and save the workfile. I go back to PP CC and export using Media Encoder. After waiting for the export to complete, I find it maintained the same error from a previous edit.
Does anyone know why this would be? Is there any way to avoid having to restart every time I make a small change to an edit?
Thank you in advance for any insight. It has now happened to myself and my co-worker. The only way we have been able to "solve" the problem is by deleting cache/restarting both programs/restarting the entire computer. It shows up as changed within the Premiere project, as well as in the preview in Adobe Media Encoder - and then the final output does not reflect those changes.
Another suggested workaround to anyone else out there who is problem solving is exporting directly from Premiere, but none of these solutions seem to work 100% of the time, nor really address what this problem really could be stemming from. -
Hello,
I'm hoping I can start getting answers to some big issues I've been having running Premiere pro. I've had similar issues with CS6 but it seems like with CC and every recent update, the problem hasn't been resolved, its even worse.
The main issue I have is seeing the 'unknown error' message everytime I try to export a file. I'm working with RED footage. When I turn off the CUDA support, I can export without the error but my export time goes from a few minutes to sometimes hours in the render time!
I've looked through pages and pages of forums and there are so many people saying the same thing, with millions of opinions of what the problem is. Regardless, the only thing I tried that worked so far is turning off the CUDA support.
Now something I recently noticed, is that the difference isn't the GPU usage, I still show GPU being used at 500mb or 1gb out of the 2gb that it has (GTX 680)
The strange thing is without the mercury playback option, I'm seeing that disk usage and I/O go way down to kbs from a very high number. This would make sense why I'm seeing such huge changes in render times even though it still shows my 6 core CPU maxed out and ram over 40gb out of 64 that are installed.
Does anyone have a suggestion on what may be happening here? Its the only thing that has plagued my system using Premiere since day one and there seems to be no way around it..Best way to get a real answer is go to the Tweaker's Page, download the most recent PPBM benchmark test, and run it. It's a folder that has a resource monitoring/logging program and a PrPro project with files that is short but HEAVY in effects, both AE and PrPro, so it tests all parts of a system's capabilities from disc in/out to GPU capability/use to CPU, fsb, RAM, you name it ... and after sending that back in you get a complete report on where your computer did well and what the choke-points were.
Also ... over on the Hardware forum is the place where the techies amongst us hang ...

CS3 Premiere Pro - export to Encore settings closes PP
OS = XP, SP2
Adobe CS3 Master Collection
Capture = Matrox RT.X2 LE (MxTools ver. 3.6.0.145)
Video = Matrox QID LP PCIe
Hi,
This a new install of CS3, first project.
When exporting a full sequence to Encore from Premiere, selecting the "Settings" button causes Premiere Pro to close with no error messages.
If I accept the default settings, the export continues as normal and creates the files.
Single Layer chosen
Encoding Settings - Preset: NTSC Medium Quality
Defaults come up as;
NTSC, 720x480, 29.97 non-drop frame [fps]. Lower, Quality
3.0
48kHZ, 16 bit, Stereo, PCM
VBR, 1Pass, Min 1.50, Target 4.00, Max 7.00 [Mbps]
It's a very simple program in SD, 4:3 aspect, 93.5 minutes in length with a few still frames (jpg or bmp at 720x480) inserted. No audio or video effects processing. I'd like to tweek the settings or adjust the edited program if necessary for best/better quality.
Is this a known issue, am I missing something simple? I can't seem to find any theads (or Kb) pertaining to this.
Any ideas or solutions greatly appreciated.
Thanks.I do not recall a lot of issues in CS3, that were specific to Matrox, but CS4 and its updates pointed up tons of issues with Matrox drivers. Matrox had play "catch up" with every iteration of the CS4 updates. However, there almost always seem to be some issue with Matrox and Adobe, so that would be a likely "candidate," as Harm points out. It might not be the correct one, but would be worth a look with a test on a totally non-Matrox Project.
It seems that when everything (and I do mean everything) is set up perfectly at all levels, the Matrox cards work well for many, even with PrPro, but there are just so many, who have little problems in the setup (drivers, etc.) and things go south in a big hurry.
Please report your findings, as they will likely help others.
Good luck,
Hunt -
Premiere Pro audio problem and crash
Yesterday I got an error multiple times which then led to PP crashing.
I imported an audio track, placed it in my time line, and when i went to adjust gain is when it would freeze/error/crash.
The error i got was:
[/Volumes/BuildDisk/builds/MightySilt/shared/adobe/MediaCore/ASL/Foundation/Make/Mac/../.. /Src/Mac/MacFile.cpp-1104]In AME, please go to Preferences>General and disable the Import Sequences Natively option. Then export the sequence from Premiere Pro to AME and see if the problem persists.
If this change resolves the issue, then we'll be interested in getting a copy of the project, if possible, to test with. -
Premiere Pro exporting solutions?
I need desperate help in the realm of exporting...
In a short summary:
I am currently shooting with a 5D Mark III and a 24-70mm
When I shoot, I keep my lighting equal throughout the histogram, I keep a reasonable f-stop to obtain better focus, I use double the shutter speed when shooting at a certain frame-rate, and I keep my ISO at the native.
All of my RAW footage looks fantastic! However once I get it through Premiere Pro and export it, the final product looks like a major decrease in quality.
Here's my usual workflow..
Import RAW files into Premiere Pro with no conversion into ProRes or anything
Create my sequence using "Create Sequence from Clip"
Do all my cuts
Add color correction with "3-Way color corrector" as well as add a subtle Unsharpened Mask.
Then I export from Premiere (Even though Media Encoder final outputs looks exactly the same quality)
Export as:
H.264
Vimeo HD 1080 2.39
And then as I said... quality suffers..
What's an appropriate workflow that will help me achieve better exporting results? Am I doing something wrong?
Thanks in advance for the help!Well, as joe and Jim have said, it is difficult to help without a little more information. First of all, congratulations on getting the 5D Mark III. I researched it yesterday after a discussion about bit rates. If you are using the all I-Frame setting, you should be getting some very good video, assuming all of the correct composition, lighting, settings, etc.
What I can tell you is that the Vimeo preset uses 5Mb/s whereas the YouTube preset uses 8Mb/s. That can be significant with some footage, and not so much with other footage. So I suppose the first question is: are you using Vimeo?
I have done extensive research on the difference between my camera's video and photographs scaled to the same frame size and the video is not bad. I had the assistance of one of the smartest video guys I know so I am confident of the analysis.
Not great, but not bad. And the problems require about a 300% zoom to really analyze them. But that is not your issue. You want to see your video exported as clean as it was imported. That isn't possible, but you might be able to get closer if you post a few seconds of video that you want to export, and then post the export, along with a screen shot of your settings (unless you are truly using the default). Then we can all try it and see what happens.
You might want to shoot 10 seconds of something with no motion at all. Then 10 seconds of a lot of motion. It would make for a better analysis. Shoot it specifically for this test. Have some text in the shot from a box or a sign, or some other sharp lines. -
Encore Messed up Premiere Pro Export!!!!
I am super pissed. So I export a 1 hour project from Premiere Pro CS5. MY settings: 24p progressive HD footage (xh a1). I didnt edit the footage. I exported to : Blu ray defualt settings, kept original footage settings (progressive, aspect ratio, etc)
I import the footage into Encore to create a chapter menu. Well after I burn the project onto a dvd, MY FOOTAGE IS MESSED UP. It almost seems like ENCORE CS5 converted my progressive footage into interlaced because the edges of the video is now jittery and bad quality. And dont tell me it has to do with me burning Blu Ray encoded footage on a dvd.
Does encore mess up transcode settings? Because ENCORE Doesnt seem to support progressive footage.I think your problem is that the DVD standard does not support HD footage, so encore (via Adobe Media Encoder) down-rez's your HD to SD in order to burn on DVD. You might want to check out this tutorial by Jeff Bellune :

Hope that helps,

HELP, Premiere Pro resample problem?
After uploading my new video (youtube.com/xniosy) people have commented about resampling. After finding out what it meant I wasn't sure if premiere pro has an equivalent or an option to disable it.
I export in H.264, custom, 1920x1080, 60FPS, maximum render ticked.
My videos are captured from my PS4 in 1080i 60FPS from my Elgato HD. If you look what iH4ck said in the comments you will see what I mean.
If anyone knows anything about this resample thing or if its just because of the actual capture quality can they please help.
Thank you!
Premiere Pro CC
Windows 8.1 64bitI am talk about component out from blackmagic 3d extreme card.
it is connected with beta camcorder, and there is no signal.
if you switch to after effects, everything is ok, signal go out.
I am afraid that there is some software problem, or some combination of mbo, bios, drivers....
but only Premiere Pro have this problem.
also try CS6 - same, also the same unenviable GPU / CUDA problem with Quadro 5000
now I am piss off because it is dell, it is certificated for adobe, decklink.... have abnormal expensive graphic card, and simple, it does not work...
please, don't ask me why , but it is not my decision. owners want that, I just give green light.
personaly use unnamed configuration, everithyng is perfect with GTX card and same decklink...

Adobe CC Premiere Pro Exporting Excruciatingly Slow... Please Help?
Hi guys, school project due in a few hours, and I've been fighting with premiere pro for close to 15 hours on a 15 minute video. It's pretty basic, a little bit of footage and a few pictures in 1920x1080, but for the life of me this thing will not export. It starts off very quick but slows to a crawl and then curls up and stops. My system doesn't pull any punches: i7 3770k, 16 gb 1600 mhz ram, 2x 780 ti. Any suggestions??? I'm dying here.
Thank you for the help!

Adobe Premiere Pro Import Problem
Let me get one idea out of the way.
NO. IT'S NOT THE DAMN CODEC, AND IT'S NOT A PROBLEM WITH EMPTY WRAPPERS.
Every time I try to import a fully functioning video (any format), Premiere Pro continues to import it as an audio file. Only when I import the clip as a sequence does it fully apply both video and audio.
No matter what version I revert to, it does the same thing. Even worse, sometimes it's the other way around! Sometimes, the picture imports but not the audio!
And this has been going for a month.
Even better: when I import the footage to After Effects or Media Encoder, it works perfectly. Full audio and solid visuals all around. I don't know what is happening.
I'm switching to Sony Vegas until further notice.
I use DVDVideoSoft to download and convert my footage (this affects nothing, however. I've tried importing a movie [The Woman] and it's done the same thing).

This is a DirectX formatted movie? I don't believe that is on the list of supported formats for Premiere Pro. Interesting you were able to import it into other applications though. I wonder if the movie has a variable frame rate. I also wonder if you tried to import it via the Media Browser. Please try that instead of File > Import and retry.
Thanks,
Kevin
