Premiere Pro heavy freeze spikes during rendering using CUDA mercury

When I am rendering a movie with Mercury CUDA in premiere, it makes my computer literally unusable. Freeze spikes that I cannot move the mouse at all for like a minute or two. Using render preview as Software is more bearable, no freezes and render time is now half.
I think it have to do with Sli setup, but I'm not sure as I had a single card Titan not long ago and I changed to Sli GTX680 recently at the same time Premiere was moving to 2014.1.
I have upgraded to the latest nV drivers and the issue remain.

Constant Premiere Pro CC freezing

Hey,
Really annoying issue that has been happening ever since I installed CC. Everytime I do anything substantial while editing like slicing a clip, moving a clip, maximizing the program, clicking export or bringing new clips in, Premiere Pro will freeze up for around 30 seconds and then go back to normal until the next freeze. Saving the project also takes flipping ages... like 5 minutes.
Any ideas what this could be? Editing GoPro HD Hero 3 (converted with GoPro Cineform Studio) and 5D Mk3 (occasionally shot RAW and exported out of AE for use in PP) footage off the 2TB internal HDD. All software is installed on the SSD.

There have been a LOT of reports like this recently. Something seems to have changed for a lot of folks in the past month or so. A Windows or Mac update, a driver update, something.
Unfortunately, I've yet to see any reliable solutions posted.

200% or more is not strange. Remember that your mac has 4 cores (you say it's 3 months old, so I assume it is a new model), so 200% amounts to using 2 of these 4 cores to the max.
Regarding the question of creating a new admin user: while it sits in the same system, it may help if the problem is caused by some user-specific preferences or settings. Not likely in your case, since you seem to have reinstalled from scratch, but still it is worth a try. It takes 5 minutes and may help pinpoint the problem.

Premiere Pro CC 2014 Crashing with rendering, freezing system, and more

I'm having some serious issues with Premiere pro on my late 2013 iMac.
OSX 10.9.5
3.2GHz Intel Core i5
16GB 1600 MHz DDR3
NVIDIA FeForce GT 755M 1024MB
I'm working in 1920x1080 23.976fps. Media files are from sony FS700 .MTS and Cannon 5DmkIII .mov
Multiple times per day, PP crashes on me. It all started when I was getting really choppy playback which would be accompanied by this error message:
A Low Level Exception has occurred in ImporterMPEG (Importer)
This would soon after lead to the program freezing and me having to force quit the program. After contacting Adobe the first time about this persistent issue, the tech explained to me that it was a "Memory Leak" issue and that there was nothing that could be done. After the support team member ended our chat online before helping me solve my issue, I called support. I provided my case number and this person picked up where the helplessly left me and did the typical Adobe one fix all: He went into the hidden library and cleared all of my preferences, removed any third party plugins, and cleared the files in the root applications Adobe folder, renamed a folder "Adobe.Old" etc.
As I explained to the support team member on the phone, this is not a solution but rather a bandaid until it happens again.
Low and behold it has happened again. This time the support team member had me create a new System Administrator account on my computer thinking that there was a permissions problem with my other account which was conflicting with PPCC2014. While this was a major pain to switch between the new account and any other program that I had set up for day to day work, it allowed me to continue editing and at least (at a less efficient rate) get things done.
Now, while using my new System Administrator account, I am getting terrible crashes that not only stall the program, but force me to hard re-boot my computer. These crashes are accompanied by a terrifying looking screen that I was only able to capture once.
They've only become more intimidating as now I cant even see the program when this happens, but this is the only screen capture that did not turn out completely black.
I'm looking to see if anyone has had any extreme issues like this and if so how they were able to fix it. I've now spent 6+ hours with support and after the last one was told I would receive a personal email follow up by the end of the day (never happened) to take further actions based on the performance after the new account creation.
I need help. Now.

First of all, try this: Re: A low level exception occured in: Importer MPEG (Importer)
Next, make sure that if you updated OS X to 10.9.x, or later, you must check the following each time you update: Premiere Pro CC, CC 2014, or 2014.1 freezing on startup or crashing while working (Mac OS X 10.9, and later)
Other things to try:
Sign out from Creative Cloud, restart Premiere Pro, then sign in
Update any GPU drivers
Trash preferences
Delete media cache
Remove plug-ins
Repair permissions
Disconnect any third party hardware
Remove QT components from Mac HD > Library > QuickTime
If you have a CUDA GPU, ensure that the Mercury Playback Engine is set to CUDA, not OpenCL
Disable App Nap
Reboot
Report back if anything here worked for you.

Premiere Pro CC freezes on a frame during playback, but audio keeps playing?

First time poster, long time visitor to the boards. Running a new Mac "Pony Keg" (I think calling it a "trash can" invites bad performance ) with OSX 10.9.5. Here's a recurring issue: I am playing back a sequence and then it will freeze on a frame (different everytime) and the audio keeps playing. I can stop the playback and it will continue to play, but the frame is locked in. Next, I'll quit out of the app, and try to reopen, but nothing happens because Premiere never actually quit. I'll pull up Force Quit window and it reads as "not responding." I'll Force Quit, relaunch the project and things will work again for a while, and then I need to do a whole reboot. Any thoughts on what might be causing this freeze frame issue or why Premiere won't actually quit? I've seen these posts in some various threads, but not these two issues in the same thread. Thanks in advance for any help and insights offered!

I would suggest these things:
Do this first: Premiere Pro CC, CC 2014, or 2014.1 freezing on startup or crashing while working (Mac OS X 10.9, and later)
If that doesn't help, Change the Video Renderer to Mercury Playback Engine software only under File > Project settings > General. Delete previews after clicking on OK.
If nothing helps, try this:
Go to the following locations:
Location 1: When in Finder, click on Go > Go to Folder > ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe
Location 2: Go > Go to Folder > ~/Library/Preferences/Adobe
Location 3: Documents > Adobe
In all the locations, rename the 'Adobe' folders to 'OldAdobe'
Launch Premiere, accept the License Agreement and see if it works.
Note: You will lose your customized workspaces, keyboard shortcuts and media cache.

Premiere Pro CS6 freezes during loading

Having used thsi programm several times successfully all of the sudden since today, after a few seconds of loading process of Premiere Pro CS6, loading process always starts freezzing at loading stage : "loading ExporterQuickTimeHost.bundle" (Mac OS). Deinstallation and reinstallation didn't help.
Can someone help me?

Premiere Pro / Media Encoder crash during encoding

Afternoon guys, wonder if anyone has any tips on how to solve my issue. It's a new pc that I'm working on, my first project on it, everything working great in terms of the edit, but crashing whilst encoding both through Premiere Pro and Media Encoder with an error message (below). I'm not great with this stuff so please let me know if I need to provide more info and I'll provide much information as I can.
I'm a creative cloud user.
-Premiere Pro cs 6 (6.0.3) - I have tried to re-install the software, and ran all the updates yesterday after the install. Problem still persists.
-Encoder cs6 (6.0.3.1)
-Windows 7 Professional service pack 1, 64bit. Whilst I was online re-installing Premiere Pro windows did some updates (I generally keep my editing pc's offline).
-DSLR footage (.mov) for video, up to 3 sources of video (nested for multicam shoot) and running one source of audio (mp3 file). Two of the timelines I'm trying to encode are about 45 minutes long.. I have succesfully encoded other clips (a 5 minute, and a 35 minute previously. Miraculously this morning I encoded a 1h12m clip using the mpeg2-dvd preset with only adjustment of quality bumped from 4 to 5). So this was encoded after all the updates, however since then everything else is not working.
-Initially encoder was either freezing, or giving me an error message. Since re-installing all the software yesterday it now does not freeze, but I get the error message: "Adobe Media Encoder CS6.0 has stopped working... A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available." I get the same message when encoding with both AME and Premiere Pro. I click "close" from here and nothing else happens.
-Trying to export to mpeg2-dvd, I have tried the PAL widescreen preset, as well as trying to adjust the settings, doesn't seem to make a difference, the error message pops up different points during encoding.
-The only plugin I have used is magic bullet looks for some grading. It also fails to encode with no plugins used.
-PC     - Intel i7-3770 @ 3.40ghz,
          - 32GB ram
          - Operating system and Adobe Suite on c: (SSD 240gb)
          - Project source footage (video, audio, etc) f: (2tb)
          - Encoding files to e: (SSD 240gb)
          - my case is an Antec 902, with no additional fans. It does sound like it's working harder during encoding, not sure if a heat issue could be causing the software to error?
-I am using the mercury playback engine with a Gefore gtx 680 (2gb).
I have not been able to find any definitive answeres with regard to the crashes. I did also have encoder hanging whilst reading the xmp file. I have tried encoding video only (audio disabled) and whilst it doesn't hang during reading of xmp file, it still stops working with the above error message.
I also run an older PC with i920, 24gig, gtx570 and it never crashes but performs much slower. It is also running windows 7, same setup but different hardware. Not sure if the hardware on my new pc could be causing the issues, if you you guys have any troubleshooting tips it would be much appreciated. At this point i have tried starting a new project, new timelines, nothing seems to work, so I have transferred the data to my old pc for encoding (as I need to deliver the discs to a client), but I need to get this new setup working properly.

Thanks for your suggestions, I just tried cleaning out the media cache and also rendered out a wav file of the audio and placed it in the timeline and deleted the mp3 version.. Tried once again to encode an mpeg2-dvd file.
1st attempt encoding through Media Encoder, pal widescreen with variable bit rate set to 6, 7 and 8 = everything froze, had to restart via button.
2nd attempt encoding through Media Encoder = this time tried video only same settings just no audio = same error (Adobe Media Encoder cs6.0 has stopped working...)
3rd attempt encoding through Premiere Pro, same settings with audio = same error message.
4th attempt encoding through Media Encoder, pal wide preset as standard with no change = same error message.
5th attempt encoding through Media Encoder, h264 preset for vimeo, 720p = same error message.
6th attempt encoding through Media Encoder, AVI (Uncompressed) 720 x 480 preset. 1m40s in the dreaded blue screen appeared. "A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer. A clock interrupt was not received on a secondary processor within the allocated time interval. " Bla bla bla.
In all instances the encoding is absolutely flying, but always ends up crashing.

Premiere Pro CC freezes while exporting

Premiere Pro CC on a MacBook Pro with an OSX 10.7.4 My source footage is a .mov file shot on a Cannon 7D, 1080p and I am trying to export to an H.264 format in 720p/VBR, 1 Pass with a target and max bitrate of 6. Once the export gets to about 60% it freezes and hangs there then the Mac colorful wheels spins.
This use to work properly for me and I am not sure why it is doing this now. Any ideas or suggestions as to why and what I can do?

I started using CC a while back and have done most of the work on this project in CC. I believe i may be able to finish it in premiere pro cc. At the moment i have the project queued up and rendering.. Its taking a while, but i think it will work. Knowing the issue brings me a lot of relief! I was worried that it was just a problem with premiere. Thank you for you help! That issue is solved!

Pre Pro 5.5 quits during Rendering/exporting

I've been working on short, 1min30 to 2min, testimonies including tracks for logo, title, matte, and the actual media. This requires keyframing changes in scale, position, 3-color correction, gobos and diffusion. The latter two coming from 3rd party Tiffen. Got the first 4 or 5 done with no problem, but the last several have quit during rendering or, if rendered, during exporting. Data: CS 5.5, Mac 10.7.5, Source footage is HD 1440x1080, hard drive has remaining capacity of 1.65 TB, 3rd Party the aforementioned Tiffen Dfx v.3, and, sadly, no Mercury Playback Engine GPU. Can any one tell what's going on?

Premiere Pro CC crashes after 25% rendering, has particular issues with directional blur effect

I've only been using Premiere for a single project as my university specified we should use it, I'm not used to such a complex programme, or even video editing to be honest, so bear with me. (I'm following that guide on what information to add to questions on this forum)

Premier crashes when it gets to the point in my sequence where I used the directional blur effect (I'm pretty sure that's when it crashes anyway), it also can't export I assume because it can't render

Premiere Pro: Not Playing Timeline, Not Rendering Full Sequence, Stalling on One Frame

2013 iMac // 10.9.3 // Premiere Pro CC 2014 (latest update)
I have been editing a project for a few days, and it just started giving me issues on my last run through it before exporting.
I have dealt with many problems with PP before, but I honestly don't even know what's going wrong here. I cannot pinpoint the issue. It seems to be a number of things. I started by updating PP and CUDA. Nothing. So I continued.
1) I was having problems rendering, so I figured I'd delete the preview files and start from scratch. When rendering the entire project, it would get to about 60%, then stop and hang there. After five minutes of watching it, I would quit PP. Even though it would look like it had quit, it would still be running in Activity Monitor and the little light underneath it in the dock would be on, so I have to force quit.
2) It was odd because the spot where it stops rendering is the sport where, if I scroll through the timeline, the Program window will freeze on one frame. Then it doesn't matter how much I move the playhead, it won't show any other frames. Nor will the sequence play at all after this. So I'd quit again.
3) I went back to another project and rendered everything in it - fine and dandy.
Why is this giving me such a problem? If anyone needs anything else from me to properly diagnose this, please just say so! Thanks for the help.

Sorry 'bout the time lag. Our new firm just started its first large project, and as the tech geek for the photo-part of it, been kinda busy.
So there's clearly a problem with the project file having gotten corrupted, but ... when it hits the footage it choked on before, it choked again. There's some kind of glitch here that has to to with PrPro interacting with those files. I'm wondering if a file header somewhere has a digit that can confuse PrPro or something? I do recall a couple issues of a similar nature that eventually involved people sending a bit of the nasty footage to an Adobe staffer, who poked through behind the scenes and found something that was not exactly what it might best have been in a header or something. Altered that, PrPro & footage liked each other again, everybody else happy. But that's the sort of ish that one needs experience at ... and I've got none.
There's been times also where people have split a project up ... right on the edge of the Problem. Three parts to their project, in separate project files. First "good" part, and rendered it out as a separate project. Next project, the "troubled" footage that worked by itself, as again its own project, and rendered out. Then the final & also untroubled part, again rendered out. I've heard of both taking those into QuicktimePro (if appropriate codec) and uniting in one continuous piece, I've also heard of people who took three PrPro projects that had been rendered out separately (if I recall one was probably about six parts, a long & complex bugger) and brought those rendered-out parts back in to make a final project with everything in it. In fact, there are a number of people who split their larger projects into chunks, that are finished separately, then combined in a final PrPro project for final polishing as their normal work habit.

Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 Freezing

I am experiencing freezing issues when trying to edit within premiere pro. Simple tasks like cropping videos, color correcting or anything done to the video will freeze the program window and then eventually freeze the program.

What are you editing, and does your sequence match your video?
