  • Premiere Pro CC2014 error ComponentFactory.cpp-69

I tried to open a project that I started with CS6 and tried to open in CC2014. It contains prores422 .mov files, Premiere Pro Debug Event pop up appears with message,
Premiere Pro has encountered an error.
    [..\..\Src\Component\ComponentFactory.cpp-69]
I noticed someone (drbuhion Mar 19, 2014 1:07 AM) asked this question (Premiere Pro CC error ComponentFactory.cpp-69) and there was no answer. Any chance of resolving it?

Thanks Mark. I just reinstalled Premiere Pro CC 2014 a few days ago and used the Adobe Cleaner to resolve a different issue this week. (It worked.)
I had to start a project with a client’s laptop, which has CS6, then finish it at my home office, where I use CC 2014 (which I love). Granted, I’ll probably be in a jam if I have to edit it on that client’s laptop for some reason, but I don’t think that will happen.
Oddly, a different project that I did on that client’s laptop with CS6 opened fine (which actually will benefit from the features of CC 2014).
For what it’s worth, I worked around the problem by starting over with a new project to re-do the problematic one, using my PC with CC 2014.

I have bought membership to the Creative Cloud. And I wanted to download Premiere Pro CS6 from the Creative Cloud. • Premiere Pro CC Error: "This project contained a sequence that could not be opened..."

I know this problem has been reported previously with Premiere Pro CC (I run 2014). When opening up a recent project, I keep getting this: "Error Adobe Premiere Pro: This project contained a sequence that could not be opened. No sequence preview preset file or codec could be associated with this sequence type." The only solutionm is to open another project, sign ou, then sign in before I get open that other project. This has become a pain...  Is there a permanent fix for this issue that has been reported for quite a while now?
    Thanks for your help.
    Marc

    Hi Marc-Andre d'Anjou,
I am sorry to hear you're having trouble with this issue. It happens sometimes because of activation problems. The doc that Rameez points to is missing steps for reactivating the Creative Cloud version of Premiere Pro. For Premiere Pro CC, and later, see the section "How to deactivate or sign out" in this document. See the section "How to activate or sign in" in the same document to activate Premiere Pro once more.
See also this FAQ: FAQ: Why are some codecs and sequence presets missing from my installation of Premiere Pro?

  • Premiere Pro & Encore Errors - CS4 / CS5 Side-By-Side Install

    Hello, all.
I am trying to use CS Production Premium CS4 and CS5 together on the same machine.  I have been getting some really crazy errors and happenings lately on Premiere Pro (CS4) and Encore (both CS4 & CS5).  In another forum in Creative Cow, someone mentioned that CS4 and CS5 should not live on the same partition, and that may be causing my problems.  You can view that thread here: http://forums.creativecow.net/thread/3/908105.
    The long and short:
I have had CS4 installed for a while on my machine (see specs in the signature line), and installed CS5 alongside using all the default install values.
Taking the troubled applications one at a time, here are some errors I am encountering:
    PREMIERE PRO CS4
Upon launch, the following message appears:
This is what prompted someone to note that CS4 & CS5 should not live on the same partition.  I HAVE SINCE UNINSTALLED CS5 and the error still persists.
    ENCORE CS4
Upon launch, it automatcially crashes and the Windows error messages pop up:
I HAVE SINCE UNINSTALLED CS5 and the error still persists.
    ENCORE CS5:
Shorter DVDs with simple timelines seem to transcode and burn just fine.  However, with longer timelines or more complex projects, it returns the following errors:
A detailed view of the error message is below:
I have not been able to test this after the uninstall of CS5, but I can only assume that it still has this issue.
As far as I can tell, Premiere Pro CS5 works just fine.
In addition to the previous errors, After Effects and Premiere Pro CS5 also have trouble rendering to networked locations (i.e.--mapped drives). The renders fail immediately with "unknown errors".  I am not sure if this has something to do with the side-by-side configuration or not, but it is another issue that has been problematic.  The CS4 versions can render to any location with no problems.
Any guidance on how to get CS4 and CS5 to coexist will be greatly appreciated!  I do need both versions for various reasons, so getting rid of one is not an option (and as the uninstall of CS5 has proven, not effective).

    Hi Matt,
Sorry to hear you're having this problem, but until you provide information about your system, the version of Premiere, etc., nobody can begin to help.
You'd probably be best off starting your own thread in case the cause of your issue differs from what RWRobert220 is facing.
Also, if you search the forum for "crash on launch," you'll find a number of threads. Focus on the ones with the green bubble indicating that it's been resolved.

  • Premiere Pro CC error message and crash

    Hi All,
I am in the middle of a project and on a tight deadline. I have Premiere Pro CC and have tried the phone line for help. However, after 90 minutes on hold, I gave up and thought I'd try here.
    So I have a project that was loading fine yesterday. I shut PP down last night and all was good. Today I tried to open the project and it gave me an error message that read;
    [/morereel64/releases/2013.09/shared/adobe/MediaCore/MediaLayer/ImporterHost/Make/Mac/../. ./Src/Audio/AudioWaveform.cpp-173]
After that, I click "Continue" and it then tells me "Sorry, a serious error has occured..."
I have tried uninstalling All Adobe Apps, using Cloud Cleaner, deleting my preferences, creating a new project and importing the old one in, exporting an XML to reimport... Nothing is working. And now I'm panicking!
    Please can someone help? Please?
I'm kinda going out of my mind...
    Thanks

New projects don't seem to have this problem with 7.2, but I have a critically important older project that I can't seem to make work even after deleting Media files and letting them rebuild.  I also tried importing the old project into a new one. I sent it to speedgrade then saved it as the premiere project...  and as soon as I open the premiere project... there it is again.  It freezes... needs to be closed, and then the project is corrupted and unuseable.  I spent a few hours with an Adobe Tech controlling my computer... until we ended up with the Blue Screen of Death.  I really need some answers on this.. at LEAST how to salvage a good timeline from this project and make it work with SpeedGrade.  This is a feature length documentary that is very large.  The project is shot in 4K, but I'm editing with HD proxy footage for all except a couple of shots that I'm using the 4k Footage.  MOST of the footage on the timeline is MPEG2 from a Sony F55.  Some is from a Canon 1D.... and as I said.. a couple of shots are Sony XAVC 4K.  HELP!

  • If the 4.2 update breaks your Premiere Pro installation...

... as it did for me, which incidentally, is the SECOND update in row to do this:
(This is Windows, and probably Vista, specific)
Go to Control Panel > Programs and Features, and select Premiere Pro/Production Premium from the list. Hit the Uninstall/Change button.
Select Premiere Pro for uninstallation, along with the third party content (though I think it's automatically selected). Run the uninstall procedure.
When uninstallation is complete, use your original DVDs to reinstall Premiere Pro; it will also reinstall Media Encoder, which you can't avoid. I received a couple of errors, specifically related to the language pack and I believe the Dolby encoder. This doesn't seem to have caused a problem, as I'm able to encode to AC3 after installing the update.
Once reinstallation is complete, launch the Updater; you'll probably have a couple of more updates to install beyond Pr and AME, but let it do it's thing. At least in my case, the 4.2 updates for both programs are now installed and seem to be functioning correctly.
I don't know why this has to be so hard...

Sorry to hear about your troubles.  I did the update on XP 32-bit and Win 7 64-bit and so far no problems that weren't already occurring.  One thing I'm really careful of is to make sure I'm not doing ANYTHING else on the computer during the updates (or an install, for that matter).  Adobe products seem to be very finicky when it comes to installing.  And it drives me crazy because when I'm installing the Production Premium it takes almost an hour.  It doesn't even like Firefox to be open, which seems funny since the updater gives you the option to minimize it to the tray so you can supposedly work on other things while it's running.
Anyway, not saying you had anything running.  Just a heads-up for others.

  • Premiere Pro CC - error on export through media encoder.

    Hi,
I recently upgraded to Premiere pro CC.  Everytime I try to export through media encoder the exports errors right at the end of the render.
It keeps prompting . Error - Disk Full.  Thng is that I have 339 gig Available on the destination drive.
    - I Cleared the disk cash.
    - all the footage is Canon 5d Mk3 footage 1920x1080
    - I've tried rendering H264 and mpeg2 footage .... It all errors at 99% stage
    screen shot....
    - adobe ... please help,
    Duncan.

OK, So to be more specific it's hanging when I send it to Media Encoder Queue. I was just able to just do a direct export.
I found the article on permissions and that was not the issue.
I've made no changes to hardware and have done three projects with the same codecs, type footage, duration (1 hour range) with no problems.

  • Premiere Pro CS4 Error 1624 on install

I have adobe creative suite 4 - Production Premium. I have been able to install photoshop and some of the other programs just fine. Whenever I try to install Premiere Pro, I get the same error:
    Error
    Error 1624
Error 1624. Error applying transforms. Verify that the specified transform paths are valid.
    I am running windows 7 64 bit.
I have tried the clean script and fresh install with no luck. The error seems to only be happening when I attempt to install Premiere Pro.
    Any ideas?

Jeff - Thanks for the quick reply. Just so I understand, you recommend I run the Windows Installer Cleanup utility and perform a new install. That's what I gathered from the links you shared.
It's my understanding that uninstalling production premium and running the adobe cleanscript accomplishes the same thing. If that is the case I have already attempted that on multiple occasions. If that's not the case can you elaborate and what I should do?
