Premiere Pro Serious Error: Timeline Blacked Out! Wont Open HELP?!

I was editing, when I nested a already nested Mulitcam Edit Sequence in order to trim it down, and when I did suddenly the Audio Tracks on the Timeline like blacked out, bets way to desrcibe it, and now it says Serious Issue, closes out and won't repon. I restarted my computer and that project ONLY wont open. It is saved and all, plus other projects will open. ANyone had any idea what to do?
Thanks

I recall reading from another user who had an issue when nesting an MC edit, though I don't remember the details, or if a solution was found.  You might try a forum search.

  • Adobe Premiere Pro serious error CS3

    Hi All,
Thought I would share this error with Premiere Pro CS3 with you all:
"Sorry, a serious error occurred that requires Adobe Premiere Pro to shut down"
Sure, you've all seen it before. I have some quite specific instances of the problem though. PP CS3 is fairly stable most of the time. But I have noticed that the above error appears when I double click Dynamics in the Audio Mixer. That is, I put Dynamics into the effects list on one channel in the sequence and double click it to change the compression details and the error appears.
The weird thing is, it NEVER does it the first time I do it. I add another sequence to my project, drop some DV onto it, add Dynamics to the audio channel drop down box, double click it (or right click and select Edit) and it ALWAYS errors. It's definately doing it ever single SECOND time.
Some details? I'm running Vista 64 Home Premium OEM. Intel Q6600 Quad Core (it's currently over clocked to 3.0GHz). 4Gb Corsair XMS2 DDR2 RAM. An Abit P35 board and a few 500Gb SATA drives for video. My Vista 64 install is fairly clean as I only changed to Vista recently and I dare not use my edit box for anything dodgy. It has a couple of games on it that don't have any issues.
I'm thinking the problem must be something to do with Premiere Pro itself, my HD Realtek Audio drivers or something about Vista 64. I have seen this error loads when I Google it but I have never seen someone log it specifically for double clicking effects in the Audio Mixer. I'm not yet going to have a fiddle around with my system to try and fix it because I have a valuable project on the go and not enough time to redo it if I break it. But once I have finished my current project, I may try a few things like resintalling CS3 and playing around with drivers.
In the meantime, any ideas out there? :-)
    Regards,
    A.

Allan, the original poster is on a PC. As far as I know, Realtek cards are not used in mac computers.
To look at Audio Settings on your Mac (which I'm assuming is OSX) you'll need to go System Preferences > (Hardware) > Sound.

  • Premiere Crashes-"Serious Error" when scrubbing timeline.

I have sent about 4 crash reports-and have done some heavy googling-can't seem to find an answer:
Working on: 2014 Mac Pro, 12 core OSX 10.9.5, Premiere Pro CC14. I have nothing else open, monitoring via HDMI through an AJA T-TAP to a 1080i consumer sharp, as well as my computer monitors.
Footage/Sequence Settings: DVCPRO 720p @ 23.98(This is the only variable that differs from my first dozen projects working with premiere as of August 2014). Sequence and Render Settings are based on footage.
(I do have render/bit settings maxed out,I thought this may be the issue- However, I have not applied anything render dependent and my machine can handle/is not showing signs of lag AT ALL).
Crash just happened for the 4th time.
Only other issue, (besides known bugs) I have had:
Wasn't playing nice with some of my Red Giant Universe Plugins.
The keyframe marker in the Effects view via the source window, acts weird on occasion(completely visual though).
It seems to happen: When my canvas/sequence play head is..well...'playing'.... and I click an edit point with mouse BEHIND the playhead in my sequence. It does not happen EVERY TIME, which is why I thought was a render issue in the first place.
The "Serious Error" message pops up, and the whole thing comes crashing down. No freeze, etc.
I can assure you, I have done the same on other projects in premiere in my 4 months using it.
It's very frustrating. I have repaired permissions, shut down. Etc.
Any help would be greatly appreciated as the 11th hour for my deadline is approaching.

  • Premiere Pro CC Error: "This project contained a sequence that could not be opened..."

I know this problem has been reported previously with Premiere Pro CC (I run 2014). When opening up a recent project, I keep getting this: "Error Adobe Premiere Pro: This project contained a sequence that could not be opened. No sequence preview preset file or codec could be associated with this sequence type." The only solutionm is to open another project, sign ou, then sign in before I get open that other project. This has become a pain...  Is there a permanent fix for this issue that has been reported for quite a while now?
    Thanks for your help.
    Marc

    Hi Marc-Andre d'Anjou,
I am sorry to hear you're having trouble with this issue. It happens sometimes because of activation problems. The doc that Rameez points to is missing steps for reactivating the Creative Cloud version of Premiere Pro. For Premiere Pro CC, and later, see the section "How to deactivate or sign out" in this document. See the section "How to activate or sign in" in the same document to activate Premiere Pro once more.
See also this FAQ: FAQ: Why are some codecs and sequence presets missing from my installation of Premiere Pro?
    Thanks,

  • Premiere Pro CC2014 error ComponentFactory.cpp-69

I tried to open a project that I started with CS6 and tried to open in CC2014. It contains prores422 .mov files, Premiere Pro Debug Event pop up appears with message,
Premiere Pro has encountered an error.
    [..\..\Src\Component\ComponentFactory.cpp-69]
I noticed someone (drbuhion Mar 19, 2014 1:07 AM) asked this question (Premiere Pro CC error ComponentFactory.cpp-69) and there was no answer. Any chance of resolving it?

Thanks Mark. I just reinstalled Premiere Pro CC 2014 a few days ago and used the Adobe Cleaner to resolve a different issue this week. (It worked.)
I had to start a project with a client’s laptop, which has CS6, then finish it at my home office, where I use CC 2014 (which I love). Granted, I’ll probably be in a jam if I have to edit it on that client’s laptop for some reason, but I don’t think that will happen.
Oddly, a different project that I did on that client’s laptop with CS6 opened fine (which actually will benefit from the features of CC 2014).
For what it’s worth, I worked around the problem by starting over with a new project to re-do the problematic one, using my PC with CC 2014.

  • Getting Premiere Pro Debug Event message when trying to open project

I cannot open my project any more.
Last thing I did was saving, then exporting when Premiere pro CC crashed. Now I cannot open the file and also not all Adobe Premiere Pro Auto-Save files.
I used an AVI file exported from another Premiere project, 2 iPhone videos and an MP4 video from another mobile phone plus a WAV file for sound (home made music video).
Does anybody have an idea what I can do?
I deleted the files in C:\Users\...\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Premiere Pro when Premiere didn't start.
The Debug Event appears everytime I start the project and when I start Premiere and open the project afterwards.

This is caused by an update to iCloud. More info here: Crash with keyframe.h-146 error when you open a saved project

    Alex,
did you just upgrade from an Aperture 3.2.x version to Aperture 3.3.1? This error message usually occures after the upgrade to 3.3.1, when Aperture cannont convert the library format to 3.3. format.
I'd try to repair the Aperture Library (Mediathek), before upgrading it. Hold down the option-command key combination (⌥⌘) while double-clicking Aperture. This will bring the "Aperture Library First Aid Tools" panel forward. Select "Rebuild Database" and see, if it will resolve the the problem.
    Good luck

I recently installed older version of Imovie and final cut pro free trial now imovie 11 wont open what do I do?

Do you mean that the old version of iMovie (which version?) worked until you installed the FCP trial?
Note that you can only transfer projects from the latest version of iMovie (10) to FCP 10.1

  • Premiere Pro CC error message and crash

    Hi All,
I am in the middle of a project and on a tight deadline. I have Premiere Pro CC and have tried the phone line for help. However, after 90 minutes on hold, I gave up and thought I'd try here.
    So I have a project that was loading fine yesterday. I shut PP down last night and all was good. Today I tried to open the project and it gave me an error message that read;
    [/morereel64/releases/2013.09/shared/adobe/MediaCore/MediaLayer/ImporterHost/Make/Mac/../. ./Src/Audio/AudioWaveform.cpp-173]
After that, I click "Continue" and it then tells me "Sorry, a serious error has occured..."
I have tried uninstalling All Adobe Apps, using Cloud Cleaner, deleting my preferences, creating a new project and importing the old one in, exporting an XML to reimport... Nothing is working. And now I'm panicking!
    Please can someone help? Please?
I'm kinda going out of my mind...
    Thanks

New projects don't seem to have this problem with 7.2, but I have a critically important older project that I can't seem to make work even after deleting Media files and letting them rebuild.  I also tried importing the old project into a new one. I sent it to speedgrade then saved it as the premiere project...  and as soon as I open the premiere project... there it is again.  It freezes... needs to be closed, and then the project is corrupted and unuseable.  I spent a few hours with an Adobe Tech controlling my computer... until we ended up with the Blue Screen of Death.  I really need some answers on this.. at LEAST how to salvage a good timeline from this project and make it work with SpeedGrade.  This is a feature length documentary that is very large.  The project is shot in 4K, but I'm editing with HD proxy footage for all except a couple of shots that I'm using the 4k Footage.  MOST of the footage on the timeline is MPEG2 from a Sony F55.  Some is from a Canon 1D.... and as I said.. a couple of shots are Sony XAVC 4K.  HELP!

  • Premiere Pro: Not Playing Timeline, Not Rendering Full Sequence, Stalling on One Frame

    2013 iMac // 10.9.3 // Premiere Pro CC 2014 (latest update)
I have been editing a project for a few days, and it just started giving me issues on my last run through it before exporting.
I have dealt with many problems with PP before, but I honestly don't even know what's going wrong here. I cannot pinpoint the issue. It seems to be a number of things. I started by updating PP and CUDA. Nothing. So I continued.
    1) I was having problems rendering, so I figured I'd delete the preview files and start from scratch. When rendering the entire project, it would get to about 60%, then stop and hang there. After five minutes of watching it, I would quit PP. Even though it would look like it had quit, it would still be running in Activity Monitor and the little light underneath it in the dock would be on, so I have to force quit.
    2) It was odd because the spot where it stops rendering is the sport where, if I scroll through the timeline, the Program window will freeze on one frame. Then it doesn't matter how much I move the playhead, it won't show any other frames. Nor will the sequence play at all after this. So I'd quit again.
    3) I went back to another project and rendered everything in it - fine and dandy.
Why is this giving me such a problem? If anyone needs anything else from me to properly diagnose this, please just say so! Thanks for the help.

Sorry 'bout the time lag. Our new firm just started its first large project, and as the tech geek for the photo-part of it, been kinda busy.
So there's clearly a problem with the project file having gotten corrupted, but ... when it hits the footage it choked on before, it choked again. There's some kind of glitch here that has to to with PrPro interacting with those files. I'm wondering if a file header somewhere has a digit that can confuse PrPro or something? I do recall a couple issues of a similar nature that eventually involved people sending a bit of the nasty footage to an Adobe staffer, who poked through behind the scenes and found something that was not exactly what it might best have been in a header or something. Altered that, PrPro & footage liked each other again, everybody else happy. But that's the sort of ish that one needs experience at ... and I've got none.
There's been times also where people have split a project up ... right on the edge of the Problem. Three parts to their project, in separate project files. First "good" part, and rendered it out as a separate project. Next project, the "troubled" footage that worked by itself, as again its own project, and rendered out. Then the final & also untroubled part, again rendered out. I've heard of both taking those into QuicktimePro (if appropriate codec) and uniting in one continuous piece, I've also heard of people who took three PrPro projects that had been rendered out separately (if I recall one was probably about six parts, a long & complex bugger) and brought those rendered-out parts back in to make a final project with everything in it. In fact, there are a number of people who split their larger projects into chunks, that are finished separately, then combined in a final PrPro project for final polishing as their normal work habit.
    Best wishes ...

  • Premiere Pro & Encore Errors - CS4 / CS5 Side-By-Side Install

    Hello, all.
I am trying to use CS Production Premium CS4 and CS5 together on the same machine.  I have been getting some really crazy errors and happenings lately on Premiere Pro (CS4) and Encore (both CS4 & CS5).  In another forum in Creative Cow, someone mentioned that CS4 and CS5 should not live on the same partition, and that may be causing my problems.  You can view that thread here: http://forums.creativecow.net/thread/3/908105.
    The long and short:
I have had CS4 installed for a while on my machine (see specs in the signature line), and installed CS5 alongside using all the default install values.
Taking the troubled applications one at a time, here are some errors I am encountering:
    PREMIERE PRO CS4
Upon launch, the following message appears:
This is what prompted someone to note that CS4 & CS5 should not live on the same partition.  I HAVE SINCE UNINSTALLED CS5 and the error still persists.
    ENCORE CS4
Upon launch, it automatcially crashes and the Windows error messages pop up:
I HAVE SINCE UNINSTALLED CS5 and the error still persists.
    ENCORE CS5:
Shorter DVDs with simple timelines seem to transcode and burn just fine.  However, with longer timelines or more complex projects, it returns the following errors:
A detailed view of the error message is below:
I have not been able to test this after the uninstall of CS5, but I can only assume that it still has this issue.
As far as I can tell, Premiere Pro CS5 works just fine.
In addition to the previous errors, After Effects and Premiere Pro CS5 also have trouble rendering to networked locations (i.e.--mapped drives). The renders fail immediately with "unknown errors".  I am not sure if this has something to do with the side-by-side configuration or not, but it is another issue that has been problematic.  The CS4 versions can render to any location with no problems.
Any guidance on how to get CS4 and CS5 to coexist will be greatly appreciated!  I do need both versions for various reasons, so getting rid of one is not an option (and as the uninstall of CS5 has proven, not effective).
    Thank you!

You can certainly run CS4 and CS5 applications on the same computer, from the same partition, and even at the same time. Problems do ari
se if you install CS4 after CS5, but installing CS5 after CS4 should work fine. Every one of my computers has CS4 and CS5 on them (and some have CS3).
