Premiere stopped playing timeline and clips

Hi all, been working on a Premiere Pro CC 2014 project over the weekend. Worked fine yesterday...today, the timeline won't play, nor will clips in the source window, video or audio. I've troubleshooted the drives, rebuilt directories; repaired permissions; checked audio hardware, etc., all to no avail. The media shows up in both windows as online, I can see the previews fine, but playhead will not move when I hit the space bar or press the play button. I can scrub through the timeline. There are no ins or outs or markers in the timeline sequence. Has anyone had this issue recently on the current version of Premiere CC 2014? I'm on a Macbook Pro 13", Mavericks 10.9.4. This installation has worked flawlessly since I switched to Premiere in January, until today. Because, of course, deadline. :-(

Yikes. After hours of troubleshooting, I tore apart the rig, started building putting it back together, and discovered my audio interface (MOTU MicroBook II) was not getting enough juice from a hub. I gave it its own port, and now I'm back up and running.

I have had THREE 32GB iTouch. I will be listening to music and all of the sudden it will stop playing music and go to the homescreen. The store the I bought it at says that this is not common but I have to think it is considering I have had THREE of them. Does anyone know why this might be happening or what I can do to fix it?

Try the following:

All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore to factory settings/new iPod.
If you still have the problem that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order

Premiere stops playing

I'm running Mac Pro 4,1, OS 10.6.8, 2.66 quad core. I have an SSD as my system disk, and two 500 Gb HDD striped as my media disk. Footage is AVCHD, 1080p 24p from a Canon C100. Any time I leave Premiere, for instance to check e-mail or look something up on the web (which I do often because I'm new to Adobe, I'm transitioning from FCP), when I return to Premiere nothing plays back, either the sequence or a clip in the source monitor. Other functions seem to work, I can still edit, just can't play anything. I have to quit and restart, which fixes it, but that's a very inconvenient problem.

There are 5 ios devices being synced to my itunes on my conputer, how do i only make my devices sync song eatings and play countback and forth?

There are a couple of ways to do this.
1) Open the music trimmer and trim the track that way.
2) Drag the music track onto the frame of your video where you want it to start. The music track will be below the video track. You can drag the right edge of this music track to the left to make it stop at any point. In essence, you can treat a music track just like a sound effects track or a voice track.

IPod stops playing song and becomes unresponsive...

My iPod classic stops playing, and the iPods menu won't respond. After 30 seconds or so it works again, and acts as if it had been playing all along (it has moved along to the next song)... any ideas on how to fix this? I reset the thing already to no avail..

I had this issue too, but it was skipping the song either on Mac and iPhone.
For me worked erase the song in all the devices and download it again.

Airport Express stopped playing music and iMac doesn't see it

I had set up an Airport Express to stream music from my iMac to my stereo. Worked well for a day or two then stopped. I tried to re-establish the connection but Airport Utility doesn't even see the Express any more. I tried the reset button on the bottom of the Express but that made no difference. When I plug in the Express the green light shows briefly, then steady amber for a few seconds followed by flashing amber. The Express is within range of my network but to make sure I tried plugging it in to an outlet a few feet from my router. Airport Utility still didn't see it. Is my Express toast or am I missing something? Oh, yeah, I'm using a Belkin router but that didn't seem to be a problem when it all was working.

I spent some more time with this last night and was able to get back up and running, albeit with some oddities.
I had previously tried a reset with the AX unplugged. I finally realized how silly that was and did another reset with the unit powered on and right next to the iMac. After some hesitation, it was seen and recognized. I was then able to set it up in the livingroom, connected to the stereo. For some reason, when I first tried that after the reset, the iMac once again didn't see it. I brought it back to the desk, did another hard reset and set it up all over again. This time it worked although I can't for the life of me figure out what I did differently.
Oddities:
When I first reset it, the AX went from solid to flashing amber. When I got it playing with the stereo, no light at all showed. When I got up this morning, the unit was showing a steady green light. I don't know what that's about.
While it plays strong and true much of the time, there are dropouts. Sometimes these last only a second or two but other times can last for up to a minute, with some raggedness upon re-establishing the connection. Do you know of any way to overcome that?

My M-audio keystation 61e
stops playing notes after a while.
Like it has a about 1 or 2 octaves and
then any higher or lower you go, they start becoming shorcuts.
ex. Undo, paste, splice...
can anybody help me?

Open the key commands window, turn off MIDI remote. Check you haven't assigned MIDI notes to key commands. Open the controller assignments window, and again check you haven't got weird assignments.
If in doubt, trash both your Logic preference files and see if it goes away.

My iPod touch just stops playing songs automatically.
When doing a google search it sometimes times goes back to the home screen.
Also it sometimes takes several goes before it will accept the charger!

- The charging issue could be due to a poor connection or a problem with the iPod. Try another cable first
- Try the following, it is mainly for the not playing and other problems:
Reset. Nothing is lost

Premiere Elements stops playing timeline randomly

Hi,
since some days, Premiere Elements 10 stops randomly the replay of the timeline. Sometimes after 1 second, sometimes 20 seconds. And always on different positions ... between to cuts, at a transition, ... not reproducible.
I'm using PE10 for years with the same machine and the same MOV-Videos from my Canon cameras ... simple cutting, arranging, transitions, nothins spectecular.
My machine is a Window 8 64bit PC, i7 CPU and 8GB RAM with a GeForce 9500GT.
The only thing, I changed was the operating system from Windows 7 to Windows 8 some weeks ago.
Isn't PE10 not compatible with Windows 8? Or what can be the problem behind the random stopping of the replay?

Thank you Steve, for your fast response.
I don't think, its a mismatch between video and project settings, because:
a) I created new projects, imported the mov-files and where asked to adapt the project settings to match the video (awnsered to do it)
b) I tried many "old" PE10 projects that worked for months ... same result ... stopping replay after some seconds or less.
My camcorders are a Canon EOS 500D and a Canon S95 ... both not connected but imported the plain MOV-files into the PE project.
If I drop the videos into the timeline, there are no redlines above ... only if I apply transitions between to clips there is a small red line as long as the transition.
I also tried to pre-render the workspace by hitting ENTER (a thing I never had to do before) but this also doesn't help.

How do I stop Flash timeline and play imported movie?

I have a Flash movie that has a button in it to start a movie
clip that I imported that was created in After Effects. I want this
movie to play if a user clicks on the link that appears art-way
through the intro flash movie. If I stop the Flash movie, the
button won't start the imported movie. If I leave it, the imported
movie does play, but it covers the intro. Here are my two versions

How exactly does it "demand to reinstall"? I have exactly the same system as you, and I have never observed anything like that.
What files do you have in C:\Windows\system32\Macromed\Flash ?

How to stop , play nested movie clips....

Hi all,
I'm calling a swf file in a container_mc, which is in
another swf file(Interface), by loadMovie() method. The Major
problem I've stucked with is that in the interface I'm having a
Play/Pause Button, which is not stopping the nested movieclips of
the external swf file which is loaded in the container_mc
movieclip.
The other major issue is that I'm not able to add a
progressbar(sliderbar) which runs according to the animation, to
this interface. Please help ASAP

I have a similiar situation however the container_mc has me
puzzled, I'm not sure what that is - perhaps you can answer my
question:
I have a master swf called index.swf. The index.swf has a
main tool bar of buttons which load frames; each frame is named to
coincide with the main bar button (i.e. genInfo, setup,
mainentance, etc). This works perfectly. My problem is with Movie
Clips.
Each frame has a sidebar which loads external swfs (i.e.
genInfo.swf) - each external swf is made up of a series of Movie
Clips which run in succession along the timeline; each Movie Clip
belongs within its own frame (i.e. MCseg1 is in frame seg1; MCseg2
is in frame seg2, etc).
I need to pause and play each individual Movie Clip at will;
I have built two buttons (pauseBtn and playBtn) into a Movie Clip
called MCpausePlay. The first frame of MCpausePlay contains the
pauseBtn; this frame is coded with the global "stop();" In order to
move to frame(2) which contains the playBtn, the pauseBtn is coded
with -
on(release) {
gotoAndPlay(2);
The playBtn is coded:
on(release) {
gotoAndPlay(1);
When clicked, the MCpausePlay moves from pause to play.
That's all I have been able to get this to do.
How do I code MCpausePlay to pause and then play each
individual Movie Clip? (How do I get a Movie Clip to control other
Movie Clips?). Should I code the Movie Clip, the frames within the
Movie Clip, or each individual button within the Movie Clip? And,
does this MCpausePlay belong on the Index.swf file, or should it be
on each external swf? Or perhaps built in to every Movie Clip? I
have tried all and have not had any success.

Optical drive stop playing music and eject the cd

I got an HP OmniPro 110 AiO PC, everything its workning fine, but when we start playing a music disc, it stop, and eject the cd.....It's something working bad with hardware or software?...we tested with different CD's.
Please help.

Personalize Timeline and clip colors?

Hello,
I would like to change the "color of my timeline". I find the contrast on the waveforms not strong enough and the pale blue look a bit dated. Is there anyway to customize that? I didn't find anything about it in the manuals... I saw that one can color code the clips, but that is not what I'm talking about.

He's correct. Just one of those little interface changes that it would be great for Apple to update.
