Premiere transitions not working

Hello,
I imported a Premier project file into the AE file. Everything works great but I don't see transition is working.
How can I enable those transition effects?

Note that most transitions are not preserved.
What are you trying to do?
The normal workflow is to only work on a single piece at a time in After Effects and then do your cutting and transitions in Premiere Pro.

auto keyframe and auto transition not working and I have a creative cloud, in addition the auto keyframe works in the getting startel lessons....

In order to use these you need to have the autokey frame and transition selected
OFF ON
and have the first key checked then move the playhead to the new position and it should add the transition.
Did you try this and it is not working?.

Premiere Elements not working

When starting, it reports Organiser Database missing or corrupt. When trying to create a new database, Adobe crashes and ends.
Any suggestions?

You mentioning the psa.prf file helped me in googling the steps you mentioned for other users on the forum, so thanks for that.
Also your direct download link was helpful, as the package is not able to update from the help/update function.
Any idea why the update functionality is not working properly?
I still need another update for camera raw, for both photoshop and premiere. I found links for direct dowloads for versions 6.5 and 6.6. Also the direct links end in a crash, see attachment.
Do you have suggestions?

Great news. Great job in working through the details to get to the solution.
I was waiting for more information from you so that I could give you version specific information on the how to.
But you seemed to have found the paths needed without supplemental instructions.
The two major troubleshooting tools that I would use when the Elements Organizer is involved
a. delete the psa.prf file
and/or
b. create a new catalog.
Best wishes as you move forward in your Premiere Elements 9.0/9.0.1 projects.
By the way, if you are not working from the 9.0.1 Update, good idea to do that.

You can do that update with the program closed....do not bother with Help Menu/Update for this update. Use the link instead.

Premiere Elements 10 Transitions not working

I have added cross disolve transitions to Premiere Elements 10, and tried increasing duration, but does not seem to work (just vague blurring). I have recorded to DVD to see if transitions visible, but to no avail.
I have been successful in Premier Pro 4 and Serif X5, but wish to use Premier Elements as easier to split timeline and make cuts (tedious in PremierPro 4). Can't afford Premier Prof 5!!
Downloaded from Canon HV 30 HDV camcorder. Over 20 hours of video to edit!
Any suggestions?

Welcome to the forum.
There can be several reasons that a Cross-Dissolve (or some other Transitions) might not work.
One of the most common is that the user just makes a Cut, but does not alter the footage, and when they place the Cross-Dissolve over that Cut, there is not change, as the Frames have not changed.
The next is when one adds a Cross-Dissolve between Clips, that do not have adequate Handles, extra Frames, that are necessary for the Transition to function properly. This ARTICLE goes into more detail on Handles.
Do either of those situations have anything to do with what you are experiencing?
If not, can you post a screen-cap, showing the Clips, to which you are having issues with the Cross-Dissolve Transitions, and tell us exactly what you have done, prior to the addition of the Transition?

Installation Adobe Premiere Elements not working

I'm trying to install the Adobe Premiere Elements 13 but it's not working. I downloaded the file for the trial version, after downloading i also had to download something called Akamai netsession Client ? I dont know what it is, but i installed it as well. But everytime i want to open the setup it says that an error occurred. I cannot open adobe premiere elements, what should i do? i did the installation 4 times now, it's still not working

Bin soeben beim Installieren. Falls mal jemand das selbe Problem haben sollte... nach Installation von SP2 für Vista (dachte ich hätte das schon gehabt) und Benutzung der selben CD wie für die Installation von PSE 8 funzt es nun... Darauf muss man erstmal kommen... 2 Programme, 2 CD`s die Beide gleich aussehen... und da soll man 2 Mal die Selbe nehmen... egaaal.
Thread könnt ihr, wenn ihr wollt schliessen.

Focusrite USB 2.0 Audio Driver Scarlett 2i2 in Premiere CC2014 not working

Hi everybody.
I just recently upgraded to CC and cannot use my Audio Interface with it.
Info:
i7
Windows 7 Ultimate
Focusrite Scarlett 2i2, drivers up to date
Premiere Pro CC 2014 up do date
GeForce GTX Titan
In CS6 i have set the audio hardware to Focusrite USB 2.0 Audio Driver.
ASIO Settings:
Buffer length 10
In Latency is 19,6
Out latency is 28,9
Sample Rate 48000
...and it works like a charm.
In CC 2014 however, i can only use Premiere WDM sound.
If i choose the Focusrite, my sequence won't play. I can still scrub but with no audio.
Also recording does not work.
I often have to punch in layout-voiceovers for timing and need this to work, so any help would be greatly appreciated!

I am using this setup in CS6 and it works great but could not get it to work with CC. So i can't just settle with "skip any type of USB audio".
Anyway, i figured it out:
I chose Premiere Pro WDM sound instead of the scarlett and in the ASIO settings chose the Scralett as input. works just how it's supposed to now.

Transitions not working, help needed

Hi,
I updated to Snow Leopard and iLife 11 yesterday, my transitions on iMovie11 don't seem to be working, when I add them to the project they come up as a grey symbol with two small boxes overlapping each other. Anyone know what this is and how to fix?

I am now see this error msg (warning) see blow: Why would Gecko browsers (Netscape as Gecko, Sea Monkey, Firefox) all work and IE & Opera not work??

CSS transitions not working on iPad

Hello..
My CSS transitions are not working on the ipad at all
After a little research i'm wondering if this has to do with the z-index property of the elements i want to animate.
Could anyone tell me if i'm completely off-direction and/or what might be wrong.
The tabs on the bottom left corner of the page are supposed to animate up and display content, but they're not working at all... (work fine on desktops though)

Question: For this project, would you recommend providing separate CSS/using jquery to animate those sections under certain conditions only, or changing it alltogether and using jquery to animate the sections for all screens/devices?

Automatic Transition not working

Hi,
I have 5 Bullets set to appear 30 seconds aparts (they appear more like 50 seconds apart but that's not my problem.
My problem is that I would like the entire slide to transition automatically after 360 seconds. Which Keynote 3 refuses to do.
I can't even get the "on click" transition to work. Any idea how this can be fixed?
I obviously need to transition from the slide to the next.

You did set "Start Transition" on Slide inspector to "Automatically" and a value at "Delay"?
I tried smaller values (5 sec and 10 sec) and it worked.

Audio fade in and out in imovie 11 with a transition not working

When I fade audio out and fade audio in imovie 11 with a transition in between the fade would not work. If I remove the transition they would work. How can I fix this. If i reinstall life 11 would it lose my would or repair the issue.

I am having the same problem. I found a decent workaround:
At the point where you want to fade out, record a voiceover (using a mic) of silence. In other words, cover the microphone and record nothing for a second or two.
Then go into the audio settings for this voiceover and select the "ducking" checkbox, and change the setting so that all other tracks go to 0% sound when the voiceover is playing. The ducking feature has a built-in fader, so this way, when the silent voiceover comes on, it fades out the other track(s)--effectively giving you a fade-out effect on any concurrent track.
Not a perfect solution but can help...good luck!

Premiere does not work with Audition

I am working with Production Premium CS5.5 (German version). When ever I try to send audio to Audition (Right click/Edit in Audition) I am receiving the follwong error message: File could not be found. The project and all footage is in the same folder. Production Premium is running on my system SSD. Did this happen to someone? Any idea what could be the reason? I posted this to the German Forum and s.o. asked me to give shorter names to the files. It did not work out though. I had this problem with als my projects yet but could ignore the problem since they were simple projects with one audio only. Now it is too complex and I would like to use this function.

Here is a picture of the error message. In line one it says "opening converted file", next line,: "warning/error - when opening the following file an error occured.". IN the end row: "Details: the file could not be found"
Audition is installed and runs fine seperately. There is no problem with opening audio files, e.g. wav.
Dynamic link in combination with AE and Encore is fine as well. Actually I did not know that I can send photos from the timeline to photoshop. Does this work via right click? I do not find any option then. I only found in the file menue the option : "New/Create Photoshop file"

Transitions not working in Premiere CS6.Video was color corrected in AE 6 and sent back to PPro cs6.

I exported my film to AE6 from Premiere CS6 for color-correction and got it back to Premiere Pro through DYNAMIC LINK.Now,the problem is that AE has discarded all the transitions and also cross-dissolve and film-dissolve don't seem to work on this color-corrected video.I am able to apply the transitions but they don't work....somebody please help!

As Jim said, not all effects and transitions are properly translated when you replace a group of clips with dynamically linked AE composition. Actually you should have noticed that your cross-dissolves etc. had been replaced with black solid layers in After Effects, which didn't reflect your PrPro transitions.
Now you can jump back to your AE project and fix broken transitions there.
For your future work you should keep it in mind and decide whether to replace a group of clips (and, therefore, fix broken transitions in After Effects) or a single clip, taking care of its handles.

Adding video transitions using Multicam in Premiere CC not working

Just tried to a video transition to a Multicam timeline between a camera switch and it does add the transition in the timeline but only plays back as a cut as if no transition was applied. Also, using the shortcut CTRL D doesn't add the transition but does it show up in the history that it applied a transition.
I used a Dissolve transition and it shows the video dissolving between the 2 video source in the transition Effects Control window, just doesn't work in the timeline when playing it back. Rendering the timeline doesn't work either, still a cut transition.
Actually, just tried the CTRL D shortcut and it is now working.
Now the transition shows up when going to the Export menu and looking at the video in the Preview window and when exported the dissolve is there so the only problem is that the video transitions can't be seen when playing from the timeline.
Decided to close down Premiere, restart it and reload the project and now the transition works in the timeline.
Actually, here what happens. You can't see transitions when the Program monitor is in Multicam mode, you need to switch is back to Composite mode then the transition will preview when playing from the timeline. Now I just checked and you can scrub through the transition and see it when the Program monitor is in the Multicam mode.

Transitions not working in Premiere

Okay so, I have a sequence in premiere, and cross dissolve isn't working. I tried a few other transitions and they seemed to be working fine, but cross dissolve is the one that I need. There are effects in different parts of the sequence that were done in AE, but the specific group of clips that im working on have only been color corrected, which was done in PP. It lets me drag and place the transition like normal, but when i play it back it just jump cuts, even tho its showing the transition right where it should be. Also, it is working fine everywhere else in the project, its only in the clips that im trying to apply it to that it doesnt work. Any ideas?

CS5 5.0.2 Update - Transitions not Working

So I just auto updated to Premiere CS5.0.2. For the most part everything seems to work ok.
I have an nVidia 285GTX based graphics card so I use the GPU Mercury Playback Engine.
However, any time I try and use one of the accelerated video transitions (dip to black, dip to white, etc) I do not see the video from the two clips I have applied it to (just whatever is under that on the timeline--the next video track).
If I switch from Mercury GPU accelerated to the Software Renderer, then I can see the accelerated transitions just fine.
nVidia graphics card: 285GTX
Driver: 258.96
Windows 7 64bit
12GB Ram

To me, this underscores one of the issues of PC - you can get a variety of components from different vendors and while everything works in theory, these little things can crop up. This is why doing the litany of things mentioned frequently by regular contributors is so valuable.
