Premiere Update

Hello Everyone,
So, a while ago i have made an project, today i want to finish this project and so i decided to begin.
When i open the project (in the trail version of Adobe Premiere CC) i got this message:
When i look at the program version i see this:
It's 2014.0 / 9.0.0 (169) Build.
So, i thought that when i deleted the current version and i downloaded the trail version again that
the message must be gone, because when i download it again, i got the most recent version.. Right ?
After te re-installiation unfortunately i got the same message again, Adobe Creative Cloud says that
premiere is "up to date" and also through Help > Update's in Premiere itselfs it says the program is up to date.
I have googled on this problem, and when i try trough manually update i got this message:
It says: Update fails, can't apply update. Get in contact with costumer service
I downloaded the update from: http://prodesigntools.com/adobe-cc-2014-updates-links-mac.html
Its update:
Adobe Premiere Pro 2014.2.0 Update for CC 2014
286 MB
12/16/2014
Release 8.2.0
So, it looks like that it is impossible for me to install the latest (trail) version of Adobe CC, and thats the reason why i cant
open my file... !
Please, does anyone know how i can fix this ? Its the wedding movie project of my siste witch contain an hour with
multi cam tracks... !
Greetz,
Mark !

RameezKhan, i don't know how i can open a video support ticket ??
chetna I've already tried to rename that file ! Without luck :-(
The latest version of premiere pro is 8.2 Right ? It's very strange that it would
not update... Even not after all your tips and tricks... :S

  • Latest Premiere Update..heads up...cuda

Latest Premiere Update..has probably knocked out your Cuda Hack and you need to edit the txt file again.
    Note to myself: archive it.

While some off-list cards work OK reasonably and some of the newer cards work perfectly, there are real issues with instability and overheating for others. Adobe has a responsibility to sell software that performs as advertised (indeed in some territories it's a legal duty). By accepting all CUDA cards they would have no way to know if the GPU-accelerated features are actually working properly on a particular install and could be accused of false advertising - hence the use of the Adobve approved cards list (AACL). If a user wishes to override the limitation by hacking the file they are implicitly negating Adobe's warranty, so there's no liability if their card gets cooked or an export is corrupted. To make it onto the AACL, cards go through a very exhaustive set of tests; going through all the chipset numbers a few  variants may seem to have been forgotten but some just fail.
The reason for a text file moderating the AACL instead of something like a registry/plist entry or line in the preferences file is purely to make it simpler to do internal testing. The fact it opens up a route to apply hacks is a side effect.

  • Adobe premiere update/aspect ratio problem/vista

    Can someone please help...
I have already set up a video in Premiere 6.0 with a 16:9 aspect ratio. When it exports, the aspect ratio is between 16:9 and 4:3. My DVD authoring program reads it as 4:3, and cuts off part of the video, or adds black bars to the sides, depending on the the export settings.
I have read that the premiere6.1 update, which I have downloaded will fix this issue, but it will not install in windows vista.
is there an update that will install in vista out there somewhere?

There is no such thing as a 6.1 update... there is 6.01 and 6.02 and nothing any later
Since Premiere 6x is SO old, it is not surprising that it doesn't work properly on Vista
You might want to download the trial of Premiere Elements (which has a different forum) to see if it will work for you

  • Clips from Panasonic ag-ac160 has unsupported compression type with new Premiere update

Updated Premiere Pro and now my Multicam project is not supporting the files from my Ag-ac160 camera. The files from the Canon 5d work fine but won't load the others. I am going to do a system restore until this is fixed.

Took the advice of another reply and everything works fine now.
Empty Media Cache database in the Preference
Rename folder the files are in and relink.
    See if that will work.

  • What do I do if my Premiere update download is corrupted?

I'm trying to update the latest verison of Premiere Pro in Creative Cloud and it keeps saying download failed. When I click more information it says the download appears corrupted and to try again after a few minutes. It also has a code next to it.

Hello, what is your OSS, version?
I take that it so Première Pro CC?
Is it the upgrade that fails, or the initial installer?
The error code number is useful to troubleshoot...

  • Warp Stabilizer bug in new Premiere update

Made the mistake of updating mid-project. Now Premiere warp stabilizer isn't working and causes rendered frames to flicker to black. Tried the stabilizer on new projects with same results. Contacted tech support and they said "this is being rushed to get fixed". Anyone else having this problem?

Mark -- No need to test for me, that scenario perfectly describes my original problem.

  • Videospuren verschwinden seit letzen Premiere Update

    Hallo,

Insgesamt sehr viel auftretende Fehler. Schon lange keine so instabile Version gehabt.

  • Latest CC Premiere update wont let me import psd's

I cannot import photoshop files into premiere any more.
The only workaround I have found is to duplicate the psd file in my browser, then I can import the duplicated file into prem. But I can never get the original in any more.
Whats going on... cloud updates that I am paying monthly for are creating huge headaches for my business!!!!!
    Anyone????

    Hi Shooternz,
My psds were originally CMYK and I converted them to RGB.
When I tried to drag the newly created psd in it would come up with the unsupported format message. (as if it was CMYK but they were definately rgb)
The above mentioned work around did not work all the time, seemed a bit intermittent.
Since posting I have then tried opening the rgb psds and saving them as a different file name and then they came in.
Once the layers were imported I tried dragging in a layer to a timeline and it would bring in 6 identical instances of that layer... weird!! never seen this before
The only thing I can think of is that all PSDs were associated with the same job... they were all different except the background layer/image was the same.
Maybe there was some corruption around somewhere.

  • Yesterday's Premiere update apparently overwrote GTX480 hack

    Hello
After Adobe update updated the varous CS5 programs, it also apparently overwrote the GTX480 hack in the text file.
When opening an existing project I get this message 'Missing Renderer   This project was last used with Mercury Playback Engine GUP Acceleration, which is not available on this system.  PPlayback Engine Software Only will be used."
Can anyone remind us where that Text file is located so we can reapply the GTX480 hack?
    Thanks,
    ...Rowby

    Thanks,
For those who are using my card (GeForce GTX 480) , here is how I modified the file, which I found in the Program Files > Adobe > Adobe Premiere Pro CS5 folder.  (IMPORTANT I modified it in Notepad (not Word or Wordpad -- which will corrupt the file).  You must use  a text editor.:
Below is the file as modified:
    GeForce GTX 285
    GeForce GTX 470
    GeForce GTX 480
    Quadro CX
    Quadro FX 3800
    Quadro FX 4800
    Quadro FX 5800
    Quadro 4000
    Quadro 5000
Note, when trying to save the above file you will most likely get an access denied message.  To avoid that, here are the step by step instructions:
    1. go to your Program Accessories and RIGHT CLICK click on Notepad.
    2.  Then choose Run as administrator.
    3. Then browse over to the above Adobe Premiere Pro CS5 folder and open the cuda_supported_cards.txt file and make the modification.
    4. Then save it.
By doing the above hack you can immediatley restart Premiere Pro and use it with the GTX 480
BTW when I do hacks such as this I first make a copy of the unhacked file and save it somewhere else --- just in case things go wrong.

  • Premiere Update 6.5 auf Premiere 6.0

    Hilfe!! Hilfe!!

    Gruss

  • Any idea on Premiere update?

Needing to use Mercury Playback to speed things along, and I'm assuming the problems with crashing will be fixed with an update. Any idea on how soon it might come?

Just a guess but you must have a Mac, since I do not see that to be a problem on the PC side.
Sorry but no idea and anyone who has cannot tell you

  • Oct Premiere update not working! I need to roll back from 2014.1 to 2014.01. How can I do this?

    @

Gee thanks Shooternz, you made me feel so much better...
Was not my intention to make you feel better or worse, It was  an academic question.
I simply do not understand why the compulsion to update into every bright and shiny update against the logic of doing so  when mid project.
Mac users have been trained  to faddishly update IMHO.
Did you queue up in the street  all night to do the Adobe update?

  • Dec Premiere update mxf file problem

The new update has taken all the mxf clips in a current project I was working on (5 different sequences with 4 cameras in each) and duplicated some and moved them all around in the timeline leaving my project which is due to be delivered on Mon morning useless. I will simply have to start from scratch as I have been let down by the update process yet again. Does anyone have a fix for this please. I really shouldn't update when I have active projects but that is all the time.
    Please help

Thanks Mark, I finally worked that out for myself and re synced all the edits using the clips that Prem was now seeing as one file. The problem i then had was that it changed it all back again when I imported it into After effects for colour correction. Nightmare but I got there in the end. Never update mid project is the lesson for today.
