Premiere will not initiate

Need a little advice.  Premiere fails to start and I am receiving an error message of
"The procedure entry point ?DrawPixels@DC@UIF@@QEAAXPEBXHHHV?ParamPoint@VCPoint@@@ASL@@@Z could not be located in dynamic link UIFramework.dll".
I have uninstalled, rebooted, reinstalled, and rebooted to no avail.  Premiere was functioning properly in the past.  I have not looked toward replacing the UIFramework.dll (presumed it would rewrite it if specific to Premiere) , but think that is the next logical path.  I thought about uninstalling and reinstalling all of CS6 Prod. Premium (a lot of time).  Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Chris

iPhoto will not initiate. Downloaded update, but not change.  Any help out there?

If you want help you’ll need to give us more information. There are 9 different versions of iPhoto and they run on 8 different versions of the Operating System. The tricks and tips for dealing with issues vary depending on the version of iPhoto and the version of the OS. So to get help you need to give as much information as you can. Include things like:
    - What version of iPhoto.
    - What version of the Operating System.
    - Details. As full a description of the problem as you can. For example, if you have a problem with exporting, then explain by describing how you are trying to export, and so on.
    - History: Is this going on long? Has anything been installed or deleted? - Are there error messages?
    - What steps have you tried already to solve the issue.
    - Anything unusual about your set up? Or how you use iPhoto?
Anything else you can think of that might help someone understand the problem you have.

  • Premiere will not export Uncompressed or DV compressed video files

Working with CS4 with all current updates...
I have no issue exporting any other format (that I know of) including flv and wmv and m2v.
I am using PCs with Windows 7 Pro 64bit on a Desktop with  8GB RAM and Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit on a Laptop with 4GB RAM.   I've had nothing but problems with CS4 since I cleanly installed my  Desktop and purchased my Laptop.  Adobe Premiere will not export DV compressed with video, only audio,  and will not export uncompressed at all!  I have a system  with Vista Pro 64bit at work, and none of these problems are there.
I have  uninstalled and reinstalled the whole suite (plus removed all  preferences files and went in to the user profile and manually removed  any traces) to no avail.  As I am experiencing this same issue across  two totally different systems, is it a known bug with Windows 7 64bit?   Is there any way to fix the issue?

Sorry it's taken a bit to get back with you... I've been busy on another system.  My assets are R3D files at 4k resolution under the Red 1080p preset.  I have a Core2Duo with 8GB RAM, 2TB HDD, Running Windows 7 Pro 64bit and CS4 Production Premium.  What other system specifics do you require?
I do have a Matrox RTX2 card; and did not uninstall and reinstall it when I uninstalled and  reinstalled my CS4 software.
    As for Export:

  • Premiere will not open clip in Adobe Audition

Working on some  footage and I've noticed that Premiere will not allow me to open the clips in Adobe Audition...the menu selection is greyed out.
    See below...
It doesn't matter what the footage is or what camera its from.
    Any guesses?

    Hi avanishdivya,
I checked all the things you suggested, and all of them are greyed out, except when going to the Edit menu, there is an option to edit the Squence in Audition...not the Clip.
    See below:
    System info:
    Windows 7 Ultimate sp1
Adobe CC Suite all up to date.
    i7-2600K
    32gb RAM
    512 SSD
    1TB HDD x5
    GTX470
Everything seemed to work fine in CS6, haven't installed any new software/plugins etc.

  • My iMac will not initiate hardware check

I had a problem a few weeks ago, in the end a new video card was installed under the replacement programme for 2011 IMacs. During the checks I was unable to initiate the hardware scan. One week after repair and the same problem occurred, prior to the video card change, and the hardware test will not initiate again? Any thoughts?

I don't know which model you have - check it at this site. I chose this model, it is a 2011 (but yours may be different). Towards the bottom, it shows which OS it came with and this model came with 10.6.x.
    http://www.everymac.com/systems/apple/imac/specs/imac-core-i7-3.4-27-inch-alumin um-mid-2011-thunderbolt-specs.html
According to the Apple article I linked to in my previous post, if yours came with Snow Leopard, you do need the install disk # 2. And yes, it needs to be inserted in order to work as the test is contained on the CD.

  • Windows 7 ffox 1.6.16 installed office 2010 intimated cannot open link outlook firefox default browser, firefox will not initiate at all. Have to restart to get any response from firefox which then works but it crashes again. No error message

Windows 7, firefox 1.6.16 just installed office 2010, sometimes cannot open a link in outlook and firefox is my default browser, and firefox will not initiate at all. Have to restart computer to get any response which then works but after a while it crashes again. Was this due to an update or office 2010 has a hidden setting somewhere? Why would firefox crash without any message? Intimated consuming

I have had a similar problem with my system. I just recently (within a week of this post) built a brand new desktop. I installed Windows 7 64-bit Home and had a clean install, no problems. Using IE downloaded an anti-virus program, and then, because it was the latest version, downloaded and installed Firefox 4.0. As I began to search the internet for other programs to install after about maybe 10-15 minutes my computer crashes. Blank screen (yet monitor was still receiving a signal from computer) and completely frozen (couldn't even change the caps and num lock on keyboard). I thought I perhaps forgot to reboot after an update so I did a manual reboot and it started up fine.
When ever I got on the internet (still using firefox) it would crash after anywhere between 5-15 minutes. Since I've had good experience with FF in the past I thought it must be either the drivers or a hardware problem. So in-between crashes I updated all the drivers. Still had the same problem. Took the computer to a friend who knows more about computers than I do, made sure all the drivers were updated, same problem. We thought that it might be a hardware problem (bad video card, chipset, overheating issues, etc.), but after my friend played around with my computer for a day he found that when he didn't start FF at all it worked fine, even after watching a movie, or going through a playlist on Youtube.
At the time of this posting I'm going to try to uninstall FF 4.0 and download and install FF 3.6.16 which is currently on my laptop and works like a dream. Hopefully that will do the trick, because I love using FF and would hate to have to switch to another browser. Hopefully Mozilla will work out the kinks with FF 4 so I can continue to use it.
I apologize for the lengthy post. Any feedback would be appreciated, but is not necessary. I will try and post back after I try FF 3.16.6.

  • Premiere will not open - stuck on loading

OK - tech stuff: Macbook pro 2009, OSX 10.6.2, 4 gig Ram, Premiere version 4.2.1
So premiere crashed rendering out to Media Encoder (also crashed) and now will not open anymore - I just get the spinning beachball! Opening the force quit menu has premiere marked as not responding. There is no Adobe crash dialog or anything it just freezes. Please don't ask about removing preferences - been on a Mac long enough to know that's always step 1.
So what's the remedy - and please don't say reinstall?
I do get an error log after force quitting if that will help - link as a txt file below.

    Thanks Guys,
Was checking the other similar post http://forums.adobe.com/thread/387177?tstart=0 and came across a solution (running activity monitor pointed to ImporterProcessServer):
Thanks  to Bill and Bob - I searched for ImporterProcessServer posts and found  one that said that turning off and on your machine usually solves any  issues. Yeah, I know it's tech support 101 but hey sometimes the most  obvious answers! So seeing as it was the simplest solution I tried it  and VIOLA!
So  yes Premiere is working again! I was able to open the project I was  working on - so no corruption with the original file.
So I guess  the question is what the hell happened??? Why did premiere crash out of  nowhere and then refuse to open???
I guess the answer lies in the mysteries of  the ImporterProcessServer....
So big thanks to Bill and Bob!
Hopefully that works for others suffering similar issues....

  • Premiere will not export to tape - video freezes

I'm sort of revisiting a problem I thought I solved. Initially I had issues with playback in my source and program monitors. I would hit play and it would roll the video for about two seconds then freeze (the audio would continue).
I found that only when I had my DV device (sony PD-170 or Sony DSR-11) hooked up to the computer, it would do this. But when I pulled the firewire from my device it would no longer freeze and I could go on with my editing.
I thought, okay, I'll just capture the footage then pull the device. That's worked up until I realized that it does the same thing if I want to export to tape. It will not play the video in the program monitor so my recording device records nothing at all.
Any ideas on why this happens only when my DV device is hooked up to the computer?

I'm with Jim. Works for me.
Another alternate is CyberLink Power Director (not freeware), that also does a good job with all SD material to my Canons.
Sorry that I do not have a direct answer for you,
    Hunt

  • Premiere will not play back audio in sequence

I am using Premiere CC to edit Pro Res 422 in a sequence using the ARRI Cinema 23.976 sequence preset.  My rough cut sequence has lost all audio playback.  I can play audio from the source, and in other sequences in the same project but this sequence specifically is not giving my ANY playback.  In audio hardware, I have set output to built-in output and made sure that my system is set to the same thing as well.  When I click into channel properties, right click>Modify Channel I see 4 audio tracks set to Source Channel 1, 2, 3, 4.  All are set as "Ch.1" under Channel in track.

I do not think this is the case.  At the very end of the timeline the audio starts playing on the last few clips.  I am checking auto-saves as well and it seems like each one has a point where audio randomly cuts off.

  • OS 10.4.6 disk will not initiate

I am trying us use Disk Utility to correct unexpected stoppages of my two browsers (Safari and Firefox) per BDAqua's Jan 3, 2009 suggestion. After some searching, I finally found my OS 10.4.6 disk. However, when I insert it into my iMac it fails to initiate the Installer: after spinning for about a minute or so, the drawer opens to eject the disk. What to do?
By way of background: when I purchased the iMac, it had Panther. I later purchased Tiger from Apple and then upgraded it to 10.4.11 by a download.

    HI,
Are you holding down the C key when you try to boot from the install disk?
Insert Installer disk and Restart, holding down the "C" key until grey Apple appears.
Go to Installer menu (Panther and earlier) or Utilities menu (Tiger and later) and launch Disk Utility.
Select your HDD (manufacturer ID) in the left panel.
Select First Aid in the Main panel.
(Check S.M.A.R.T Status of HDD at the bottom of right panel. It should say: Verified)
Click Repair Disk on the bottom right.
If DU reports disk does not need repairs quit DU and restart.
If DU reports errors Repair again and again until DU reports disk is repaired.
When you are finished with DU, from the Menu Bar, select Utilities/Startup Manager.
Select your start up disk and click Restart
If Safari is crashing, do this. From the Safari Menu Bar, click Safari/Reset Safari. Select the top 5 buttons and click Reset. Restart your Mac. Launch Safari.
Are you running anti-virus software by chance?

  • Premiere will not import any of the recommended Caption formats

I have so far used qt.txt files to add open captions to my video projects.
I would like to work with captions within Premiere Pro and have watched Adobe's video on how to do it.
Recommended formats are .scc but several others are supposedly supported.
I have tried to import .scc files and various flavors of xml files and adobe caption files.
None of them are recognized as valid formats in my application.
Do I need a plugin that is not installed? Or enable something or another? or why would I not be able to import the files?
    Thank you on beforehand.
    Gus

By the way I am using CS6
That would be the problem. Closed Captioning support was completely overhauled in CC 7.0. Previously, support for captions was very limited. The workflow was simply to select a sequence in the Project panel, go to Sequence>Closed Captioning>Attach. You could then enable display of the captions in the Program Monitor, but you could not edit the caption content or control timing in any way.

  • Installation of Mountain Lion will not initiate on MB Pro 15", late 2008.

I am trying to install ML on my MacBook Pro, currently running Lion with all the latest updates.  Configured with 4 GB Ram.  I get a message that says:
Could not find Installation information for this machine.  Contact AppleCare.
I inherited this computer from a colleague who went in search of greener pastures and he left me no history of computer performance or support.  The computer has been working flawlessly since I got it over a year ago.  One thing I know about it is that he did not purchase AppleCare and if he had it would be expired by now.  Universities are frugal and do not like to purchase things like hardware/software support.
Can someone tell me a work-around to get Mountain Lion to install?

Press Shift key on boot and open the OS X Mountain Lion installer. If the issue keeps, reinstall Mac OS X or create an USB to install OS X Mountain Lion > http://arstechnica.com/apple/2012/07/how-to-create-a-bootable-backup-mountain-li on-install-disk/
