PremierePro uninstalled, but saying installed in Application Manager?

Had a Trail version of Adobe PP installed on Mac OS X 10.6.8, downloaded the new Application manager for Creative Cloud, opened Pp and said it was still a trial version, so uninstalled.
After Re-openning the Application manager to re-download a new PP, it is still saying "installed", with no option to open or do anything. Do I need to re-install the application manager? If yes, how? Please help
Regards
Nat

Hello,
I used the uninstaller location within the application folder.
I think I have solved this. I ended up going back to the beginging and re-downloading the trail from the website. Once installed the old fashion way, I signed in as a subscriber when asked for registration and I was back up and running.
Would be good to have Application Manager know when the software has been uninstalled, so you can re-click the install button or have some options?
Thanks for getting back to me.

I'm using windows 8 and when I open premiere pro then it says i need application manager, so i get it and that says i need adobe support advisor but that is discontinued and now i cant use adobe premiere pro. what do i do now?

    Do a clean (re)install:
    * Download a fresh Firefox copy from http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html and save the file to the desktop.
    * Uninstall your current Firefox version and remove the Firefox program folder before installing that copy of the Firefox installer.
    * Don't remove personal data when uninstalling.
    * It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
You can initially skip the step to create a new profile, that may not necessary for this issue.

  • Cannot install Adobe Application Manager

When I install this, I first get an error saying another instance is already running.  The installation then proceeds and goes through the motions installation but at the then, I get an error saying "Adobe Application Manager failed to install".  I've combed through my Windows Task Manager for things like "PDApp.exe" and "setup.exe" but I couldn't find any.  I have a bazillion processes running and I don't have time to go through each one trying to figure out which is the right one.  How do I install the Application Manager?  It seems like all the CC apps needs the updated version of Adobe Application Manager in order to install.

Problem resolved.  I called the 800 # and spoke with a technical support person in India.  The steps to resolve were to rename the directory paths (2 of them) that pointed to the old Adobe Application Manager, then download the Adobe Cleaner Tool and use it to remove the Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop App.  I logged off and then logged back in and re-downloaded the Creative Cloud Application manager and I was able to download (finally) Photoshop CC.
The old Adobe Application Manager came with my CS6 installation.  It was probably running but it did not show up in the Windows Task Manager as either an application, process, or service.  It also could be be uninstalled through Control Panels without having to remove CS6 altogether.

  • How to install Adobe Application Manager?

How to install Adobe Application Manager? I downloaded it, but can't install.
Just purchased the CC for photographers.  Have been using Photoshop since version 3.
I have been studying your support docs for several days and have no business messing around with something called, .gz files and installation logs. Totally unsuccessful "Updating" my CS6 or CS6 bridge or Extension Manager or the Adobe Support Advisor by the CC Desktop.
Have no Photoshop CS6 because I followed your CC support instructions.
Uninstalled my CS6 today so I can finish a job tomorrow.  Bad decision on my part because I can't reinstall it and am unable to correct
    this problem.
I was able to use CC to update LR, but am absolutely too afraid to touch it now.
I have been waiting inline for Chat also, but the numbers ahead of me are going up.
If someone in this Community forum can help me, it would be fabulous.
    Thanks very much.

    Uninstalled Creative Cloud.
Downloaded it again - 4th time.
Deleted a AAMDetect file from the Library/Internet Plug-ins
Downloaded and installed Adobe App Manager and an icon for it is on my Desktop
    Installed Creative Cloud.
    OK.
Now how do get my Photoshop CS6 back before I download Photoshop CC?
CS6 is not listed in the available Apps in the CC Desktop.
Support wait time right now is 2 hours by phone.
After sitting on Chat yesterday only to see the people "waiting ahead of me" go from 17 to 18, I gave up.
    Please advise.
    Thanks again.

  • Encounted an issue attempting to install Adobe Application Manager after purchasing monthly sub.

Just signed up to adobe cloud two days ago, but wasn't able to start installing the Application manager till today. The application downloads to my desktop fine, but when I try to open EXE file, I get this has an error message:
    WE'VE ENCOUNTERED THE FOLLOWING ISSUES:
THE REMOTE SERVER IS NOT RESPONDING IN A PROPER MANNER. PLEASE RETRY IN A FEW MINUTES.
So, I waited about an hour. Clicked on "retry" same error message appears.
I'm running off of Windows XP Pro.
I've downloaded a free trial of AI, and even checked to see if Adobe download assistant worked and it did abd I've never encountered this issue before.
So, I'm not to sure what is going on. Is there a way I can download programs individually without having to download the application manager? Or am I missing something.
    Thank you for your assistance!

  • Unable to install Adobe Application Manager

I get this before install starts:
Other Instances of Adobe Application Manager are currently running which must be closed before installing this product, Please close or wait for them to complete
But as far as I can tell there are no other versions running
Since I can not get it install nothing else is downloadable

    Hi,
I had exactly the same problem but with Windows 7 64 bit so I'm not sure this will work with Win 8 but see if it helps.
    1. Boot into Safe Mode
    2. Locate OOBE folder using search. In my copy of Win 7 it's C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\OOBE
3 Rename OOBE folder to OOBEold
    4 Reboot normally
5 Download Application Manager from http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4773
6 Locate download and run install
7 Application Manager Installs!!!! (We hope :-) )

  • I cannot download the latest quicktime player? says install apple application support?

    Hi,
I'm trying to download load the latest Quick time player because i need to update this. but every time i try to install this it comes up with an error message saying "install apple application support"
i really dont know what this means.
Im using windows 7 but the tower itself was built by a friend but its in excellent condition. This problem actually started when i updated Firefox! even when i watch movies now they download even slower then before, things used to be fast. my computer is clean from any viruses or anything and my computer isnt clogged up with stuff i have tons of space left.

hi, thanks for the reply back. i was wondering why are they saying we have to pay for the code to be put in? I dont really need to upgrade my Quicktime player ill be perfectly happy going back to my old version if anyone knows how to do this. If i was a movie fanatic and watching them all day long and downloading stuff then id probably will upgrade but im a casual user on the PC not doing anything special.

  • In Windows 7 I mistakenly un-installed Adobe Application Manager and all applications (CS3E, CS5 and Elements 6) have disappeared from programs on the start menu

WIN7: Mistakenly un-installed Adobe Application Manager and now all Adobe apps (CS3, CS5 and Elements 6) have disappeared from the programs list in the start up menu.
CS5 Bridge is still there so I can get into the photo editor to de-activate it and re-install.
However, all of CS3 has disappeared so I cannot get into it to de-activate.
Question 1: Will downloading and re-installing Adobe Application manager get CS3 automatically back?
Question 2: If not, what to do to get CS3 back things working properly again? Remember, I can't de-activate it.
Thanks and have a happy day!

Don't worry about activation unless you are installing on a new and different machine. Simply reinstall in order. It should all work.
Then install any updates. Product updates
After that, let me know how it went and if there are any further questions.

  • Think I deleted something? QT keeps saying install Apple Application Suppor

I was cleaning up my laptop and may have deleted something I thought was my daughter's itunes stuff. I don't have that on laptop anymore. Quick Time keeps giving me periodic errors saying install Apple Application Support then closes my browser. How do I find what I need to re-install?

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Apple\Installer Cache\** is where Apple Application Support gets installed with the newer version of QT 7.6.5
If it is not there QT will not run. I don't know how your going to get it without re-installing QT, or at least I'm not aware of how to just get that file alone.

  • Why are application updates failing to install from application manager

Why are application updates failing to install from application manager?

Usually some update from another app is blocking any subsequent patches. The general cure is to run the Creative Suite Cleaner Tool, let the application manager reinstall and then let it try to update each application at the same time to prevent those version conflicts...

I am getting the PowerPC applications are no longer supported error, so I downloaded Libreoffice and can not find it on my hard drive anywhere. It did say it would install to Applications, but it's not there. How do I find it and can I put it in my dock?

    In Safari's preferences:
Look in the folder displayed where you see the arrow. The actual Downloads folder is found in your Home (user) folder.
