Premium Earninigs Type in shift differential Policy

How do I get data in Premium Earninigs Type LOV in shift differential Policy?
I have defined shift , created a premium eligibility,earnings policy,work plan and rotation plan but its not showing any valuie in  that LOV.

I have managed to resolve this issue myself and therefore does not require answering. The only reason why I couldn't get this to work was simply because the element I was trying to use wasn't linked to all payrolls, though I managed to fully complete the set up.

    Then check the following:
    Is the element definition also defined in the OTL Information Types DFF?
    is there a mapping component for the rate input value?
    Is the mapping component in the mapping for the retrieval process (BEE)?
    Is the Element Time Information defined with an effective date suitable for the element? i.e. if the ETI is effective from 31/01/09, but the element is being used on a timecard for 31/12/08, then it will not be effective.

  • Shift Differential

    Gurus,
    When time explosion happens, how is the shift differential element supposed to be shown. Is it a separate entry e.g. person gets $1 for working 3rd shift(10pm to 6am). Now would the explosion be like this:
    Regular 8 hours
    Shift Differential 8 hours
    Or is it that the shift differential never shows up as a separate line until it gets into Payroll. Basically I am trying to figure out how many lines are going to be transferred to Payroll.
    Secondly, how to do setup on the Element Time Information screen for a shift differential element. I know we have to select Shift Differential as the Earning Category but how do I setup so a $1 differential is paid. In the Premium Type field should I select Fixed Rate per Hour and then put in the $1 in the Premium Amount field? This doesnt seem to work, the rest of the setup IS complete.
    Would greatly appreciate if someone can clarify this?

  • Shift and Shift Differential Setup Logic

    I am trying to understand the relationship with how shifts/shift differential policies/premiums work to together. I have been reading the user guides to try and setup my desired reqiurement, but am stuck so looking for help.
    The scenario I have is this:
    Shift from 7am - 3:30pm. Any hours worked outside this schedule are to be applied against a different pay code. I also need these hours to count towards overtime.
    All hours will go against the "Regular Hours" pay code and all employees have a weekly overtime earning policy of 40 hours.
    I tried setting up a shift with the above start/stop time and then created a workplan and linked that shift schedule. I also setup a new element for the shift diff override option because based on what I read it seemed like any hours outside that shift plan would be applied against that override element on the workplan. When I setup the element time information, all I filled out was the earning category of Shift Diff. I then created a rotation plan with just the one workplan and assigned it to the employee.
    When I entered time for the employee via the TK screen of 0600 - 1600 and ran the transfer process, all hours went against the REG pay code and nothing slip up. I'm sure it has something to do with my setups, but I'm stuck on where to go from here. Any help would be great! Thanks.

  • Error in Shift Differential

    Hi Experts,
    I need to change the shift differential functionaity. All the config is done correctly and shift differential is being calculated from A/A type and paid out in payroll.
    But the issue now is, there are some employees which do not get this shift differentials and yet use the same A/A codes. So the time evaluation is generating the wagetype with the number of hours for which the shift differential needs to be paid.
    I am trying to implement following logic for the same:
    1> Enter another wagetype 1349 in IT0008.
    2> If wagtype 1349 = 1 in IT0008 then pay the shift differential = number of hours x $1.
    3> If wagetype 1349 <> 1 then DELETE wage type from OT.
    Well, I am not able to delete the wagetype from OT. Can anybody tell me if its possible?
    Or please suggest another logic which will help me handle payment of shift differential based on another WT 1349 which is entered in IT0008.
    Any Suggestions are appreciated and will be rewarded.

I regularly remind my boss that I am trying to work myself into retirement such that my company will not miss me when I retire. My efforts here and elsewhere are for the same reason.

  • OTL Shift Differential setup for Overtime

    Hi
    I am new to OTLR. I am finding it difficult to setup different overtime rules with different policies.
    Scenario1:
    Type: Daily               Element: DO-Overtime 1.5     Number of Hours: 0 -12
    Type: Daily               Element: DO-Doubletime 2.0     Number of Hours: >12 and <= 24
    Senario2:
    Type: Daily               Element: OT-1.2          Number of hours: 0           <= 24
    Type: Holiday          Element: OT-2.2     Number of hours:           <= 24
    Labor A is called to work on a day when which is not his regular day of work. Scenario1 is implemented.
    Labor B is called on July 3rd to work on July 4(Holiday). Since he is called with less than a day notice hence Senario2 is implement.
    Can this be implemented using Oracle standard Functionality - Shift differential and defining Respective Elements.
    Any Help or guidance would be great.

    Two ways you could do this.
    One would be to enable the 'VoiceOver' feature in
     > System Preferences.. > Accessibility
    which will allow you to speak certain commands.
    Another way would be to set up key substitutions here:
     > System Preferences > Language & Text | Text
    Enable the 'Use Symbol and Text Substition' and define a string for the keys you want.

  • OTL - Shift Premiums for multiple Regular Premium Elements

    Hi
    We have configured Shift Differential policy such that if employee works between 6.00 am - 8.00, he should recieve "Shift Premium". We have 2 Elements (Say Reg1 and Reg2) configured as Regular Earnings. In Earnings Policy (Type -Daily Overtime Earning Rule), Reg 1 is specified as Daily Earning Rule.
    I have defined PRemium Eligiblity Policy with Reg1 and Reg2 as Base Hours Type and "shift Premium" as Authrorized Premium. In Time card if Time is entered against Reg1 (Start Time and Stop Time incudes 6.00 am to 8.00), he recieves Shift PRemium. However if he enters time against Reg2 (Start Time and Stop Time incudes 6.00 am to 8.00), he does not recieve "Shift Premium", but we expect employee should recieve "Shift Premium", since he worked during the Morning hours.
    Can you please suggest how can I achieve this.

    Did you attach shfit prem to Reg1 and Reg2 separately?
    meaning in the base hours type you need to select Reg1 and attach shift prem and also you need to select Reg2 again and attach shift prem again.

  • OTL - Special Shift Premium

    Hi,
    I am trying to setup OTL. We do have a requirement to associate a special premium for particular shifts. I will not be able to use shift differential policy since it is not identified for particular time periods. For e.g. I need to pay an additional 15% premium on the base rate for all shifts that start between 4 AM and 7 AM. How will I set this up on the system, so that when I capture time against 'Normal Hours' it should automatically explode into this premium. Can something be done on the Work Plan level ?

  • OTL Overtime Implementation

    Dear All,
    We need to implement overtime. What is the best way to achieve this in OTL.
    Should we define the Overtime Hour type and employee should enter the overtime separately using this hour type. And overtime payment will be given as per the rule to this overtime.
    OR
    We will use the shift differential policy for separating extra hour worked and treat them as Overtime. And overtime payment will be done to this hours entered.

    OTL provides the facility to calculate OT based on your setup, hence always use that. If you allow users to manually enter OT, then someone will have to manually verify all the timecards for OT calculation, that beats the purpose of automation.

    create wagetype and give charactristics...all basic formalities for a wagetype hope you are familiar with that like..esg for wagetype psg for wagatype..then go to pa30 -> it2010 and give wagetype and assign amout whatever you have this is simple process..otherwise i have 1 complex pcr and process which requires attendance based on attendance we can query...
    I suggested you a very simple process. Try and let me know if it works...

  • Type shifts upon PDF export

    I have been wrestling with an issue for a while now and hope someone can shed some light on it.
    When exported from InDesign as a PDF, type often shifts vertically, horizontally, or both. The problem appears to get worse from left to right and top to bottom. The more columns there are, the worse it gets across columns.
    This problem was first caught on a commercial printer's proof when I noticed the type had shifted from my InDesign file to their proof. Since most commercial printers use PDF workflows (as this one did), any bug in PDF export represents a major issue. I have had projects print incorrectly due to this and I am in need of a fix that commercial printers can also implement because current projects are suffering from it and past projects have come out wrong.
    I have replicated the issue on numerous different machines (and even had it tested by friends around the country) running everything from CS3 to CC, so it seems to be a systemic and possibly old InDesign / PDF export issue. The problem seems to happen with any font format — OT, TT, orPS. The PDF settings (x-1a, x-4, etc) don't seem to affect the issue.
    Anyone can probably create a test file that will show the issue by making a vertical tabloid document with three columns, threading text to fill all three columns, and then setting the type to be 9pt / 12pt leading. Export a PDF and then import it and lay it directly on top of the page in InDesign, after having changed the type in InDesign to another color. In the samples below I changed the InDesign text to magenta, and the black is the PDF laid on top of it.

    So I think we have a working solution for PDF/X-1a or simply a PDF with version Acrobat 4 (PDF-v1.3).
    The trick is to force transparency reduction to the text frame. One can do it without converting text to outline.
    Just put a rectangle with a fill of 100% [Paper] set to transparency 0% on top of it. Downside is, that the exported PDF will get a white background.
    Currently for PDF/X-4 I see no chance to work around the issue, if:
    1. Point size is 9 pt *
    2.1. A baseline grid of 12 pt * is used and the paragraph styles are set to align to it
    or 2.2. If the pointsize is extactly 9 pt * and the leading is exactly 12 pt *
    * I did not check all other creteria you mentioned in your 7th post: the ratio assumption between pointsize and leading, maybe the formula is something like that: Text Line Distance = n * (Pointsize + Pointsize / 3 ) => creep.

    Both PDFs are exported with the same PDF Export Preset.

    I've looked over several configuration examples and can't figure out what I'm doing wrong, since I'm not able to see the command 'parameter-map' under the 'policy-map urlfiltering'

    I am having the same problem.  I have seen a few diffenent configuration examples and they all show adding the "parameter type urlfpolicy trend parm-map-name" command but it doesn't exist, at least in 15.2(3)T1 and I see it listed in the the IOS documentation for 15.2.  Maybe they forgot it :-)
    I guess I will open a TAC case as I do not want to downgrade...
    I will keep you posted if I find the answer.

  • Apple bluetooth keyboard won't type shift-i

    Hi,
    So i just received my new wireless keyboard, opened it, synced it to my macbook pro and started working. Now, for some reason, everything works but typing shift-i. This should produce a capital i, but instead it just doesn't do anything.
    If i type the shift-i in my macbook pro, it produces the capital i (see the beginning of the sentence??). if i type caps lock and then i, the capital i comes back and as you can see from this text, the i key works as well as all the other shif+letter. Weird...  though shift-i could be mapped to a function in some apps, but it's not the case, since the macbook's own keyboard does not have this issue.
    if i change the layout to som other countries, the issue persists.
    That's really annoying and my keyboard is only two hours old!

    I have same results. I have an ipad mini and it will not pair with my apple keyboard. I bought a mini keyboard with bluetooth 3.0 and it will not pair either.  Is my ipad defective?  Or do i need a keyboard with bluetooth 4.0?  Also - the mini keypad will pair with my ipad2 and my iphone 4.  Only difference I can find is the ipad mini has bluetooth 4.0.  Seems it should be downward compatible but maybe not.. I am not a blutooth expert!

    PEAP is a new member of the family of EAP protocols. To enhance both the EAP protocols and network security, PEAP provides:
    1. Protection for the EAP method negotiation that occurs between client and server through a TLS channel. This helps prevent an attacker from injecting packets between the client and the network access server (NAS) to cause the negotiation of a less secure
    EAP method. The encrypted TLS channel also helps prevent denial of service attacks against the IAS server.
    2. Support for the fragmentation and reassembly of messages, allowing the use of EAP types that do not provide this.
    3. Wireless clients with the ability to authenticate the IAS or RADIUS server. Because the server also authenticates the client, mutual authentication occurs.
    4. Protection against the deployment of an unauthorized wireless access point (WAP) when the EAP client authenticates the certificate provided by the IAS server. In addition, the TLS master secret created by the PEAP authenticator and client is not shared
    with the access point. Because of this, the access point cannot decrypt the messages protected by PEAP.
    5. PEAP fast reconnect, which reduces the delay in time between an authentication request by a client and the response by the IAS or RADIUS server, and allows wireless clients to move between access points without repeated requests for authentication.
    This reduces resource requirements for both client and server.
    You can choose between two EAP types for use with PEAP: EAP-MS-CHAPv2 or EAP-TLS. EAP-MS-CHAPv2 uses credentials (user name and password) for user authentication. EAP-TLS uses either certificates installed in the client computer certificate store or a smart
