Preorder then go to back of line???

I preordered an iphone6 in the early morning on 9/15.  I wasn't going to bother, but the only reason I did was because it said it would ship by 9/19 and my confirmation said that too.  Well that obviously never happened as my order status has said "processing order" ever since.  I've tried to contact customer service and they just tell me stories to get me to go away. I even went into a Verizon retail store and got the run around even worse than that when I asked them to cancel my "preorder" and just give me one that is in the store.  Anyone else fall for this preordering thing?  I would like to just cancel my preorder and shop around carries after 18 years with Verizon and its predecessor companies, but I am not sure I want to wait on hold again for an hour.  But as every day that goes by where they can't even update the status of my order, I am getting closer to doing that.

    Try running in Safe mode.  This leaves out some video drivers.  Which results in machine not using advanced video hardware.

    When you have the browser open (Internet Explorer) then press the Alt key on the keyboard. It should show you the file options at the top..Then uncheck work offline and check..
    Note:
    If you have HP Support Assistant installed on the computer(The Blue Question Mark) then open it ==> Complete all pending Updates & Tuneups==> Restart and Check. It may solve your problem

    It might also be a good idea to let the iPod's battery fully drain. Then charge it back up and restore it once more in iTunes.
    Otherwise, it's likely a hardware issue with the iPod's LCD display, meaning you'll need to take or send your iPod in for service either via Apple or a third party repair service. Here is Apple's repair pricing.

    Note that they don't actually repair the device, but exchange it for one of the same generation, model, and capacity.  A third party service will actually replace the damage part for a little less.  Google "iPod screen repair" and you should get a number of results to work with.

    RESOLVED!!! I logged on to my Straight Talk online account, and did a Tech Chat. They immediately gave me a direct phone number and a Reference PIN number and asked me to contact their iPhone specialty support. I called (of course the gentleman's accent was very difficult for me to understand, but managed with asking continually for clarity). He walked me through several tests, setting changes and had me get on my wifi to obtain the latest APN settings. None of his efforts worked ad it was obviously NOT my Straight Talk iPhone 5, 64GB CDMA (no SIM) - it was something with their setting on their end on my account. I was placed on hold a few times and he would come back on to have me try to get on Safari and even Google... after the 3rd on-hold, he returned and asked me to try to use my data again without the wifi turned on and BINGO it worked... I still do not have my wifi turned on and I'm still receiving texts from YESTERDAY too while I was away from wifi service. IF you come across this issue - please call Straight Talk and/or log on to your Straight Talk online account and talk to an online customer service representative and get their direct line phone number for iPhone support and have your Reference PIN number available.     Then try to restore your iOS device two more times while connected with a cable, computer, and network you know are good.
    Confirm that your security software and settings are allowing communication between your device and update servers.
    If you still see the error message when you update or restore, contact Apple support.

  • I can no longer play movies since upgrading to iOS8.  The videos will flip to the play screen then immediately flip back to the selection page.

    I am using an iPAD2 with 32gbytes on iOS8.1.1.
    After upgrading to iOS8.0, the movies I had on my iPAD no longer would play.  When I select a movie, it changes to the play screen, then immediately flips back to the selection screen.  The movies are in the :movies" category.  I tried to reclassify them to "home movies" under the INFO option, but it is grayed out.
    I did just copy another movie and it automatically was classified as a "home movie" and it play just fine.  My guess is this has something to do with the category it is in.  However, I cannot change the categories on the previous movies.
    Any help is appreciated.

  • My mail app quits a few seconds after launching. I get a blank screen and then it goes back to the starter screen

    THe mail app on my ipad 2 quits right after launching. This happened as I was forwarding an email with a long attachment. Now I get a blank screen with just the icons, no mail mailboxes etc. after a few seconds that blank screen disappears and we go back to the starter screen. I tried rebooting, relaunching but no luck so far. Can somebody help me? Thanks

    Have you tried removing the email account from the app through settings?  I would try removing it, rebooting, opening the email app to see if it still crashes,  & then adding it back your email account. 
    If you're leary about causing more issues while you're not home, you could always try using a third party mail app (there are many), accessing your email through it...not a fix for your problem but a way to deal with the situation until you can get it worked out.
    Resetting all settings on the iPad (not deleting content) is a good way to clear many errors as it can remove leftover cache files & files that have become corrupt.

    Yes, I have also tried and failed when setting up Home Sharing.  I have followed the instruction given on the Support website, but this is all I see:
    Both computers are on the same local network and both allow Home Sharing and are signed in with the same user name. I am not sure what else to do.  Any suggestions?

    You can never, never migrate an installed copy of PSE. It's just too complex and you can't get to all the bits and bobs.
    First you will have to download and run this:
    Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6
    which will not seem to do anything, but is necessary to break the links within PSE so that you can pitch the bits manually. Then you will have to go around, not only to applications, but also to your username>library>preferences and most importantly to the library at the top level of your hard drive>application support>adobe, and remove everything you can find. Spotlight will not help with this kind of search, so don't try that.
    Then you can install PSE from scratch.

    You have quite muddied up the waters, I'm afraid. Assuming you now have a single GUID partition formatted Mac OS Extended, Journaled, you should try reinstalling Lion:
    Reinstalling Lion/Mountain Lion Without Erasing the Drive
    Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
    Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the main menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
    When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list.  In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive.  If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the main menu.
    Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion: Select Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion and click on the Continue button.
    Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.
