Preparing blackberry hub

Hi,
Could i please get a simple to follow and precise answer on my problem.
When I click on Text messages on my z10 the screen hangs with the message "Preparing Blackberry Hub".
How do I solve this, i cannot  get to my contacts, I can't read my messages, it is both confusing and frustrating.
I have the latest OS, i have triend taking the SIM out, battery out etc. Please help.

Don't know. I never experienced this when I was using the Z10. I searched and found a few threads but only one explanation. Actually there might be other possibilities, not just a single explanation.
Here is what I would do. First, what is your free memory situation? Go into settings, storage and access, and then device storage details. What you describe sounds like it could be low memory. How much is free?
Assuming memory is OK, try a soft reset. http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB02141 Afterward the reset, test the Hub first thing. If it is working satisfactorily, pay close attention and see if there is anything that consistently precedes onset of misbehavior.
Another possibility is an app is causing difficulty somehow. Pay attention to apps you have running and apps that run in the background. Perhaps there is a pattern, but maybe not. You can delete apps one at a time and test in between. If the problem is corrected, suspect the last app you deleted. When you install the other apps that you had deleted, do one at a time and test in between.
Next troubleshooting step, if you get to this point is a security wipe. Backup first. Install apps one at a time and test.
Last troubleshooting step is a clean install of the OS. Again, backup first. After restore, install apps one at a time and test in between.

  • 'Preparing Blackberry Hub' hanging after numerous restarts

     Months ago, i had a few issues with the Classic having the system memory full spurious issue, where the system memory 'grows' itself until wont function.  Occasional top button restarts seem to keep this in check, however, this morning, having had the system mem getting full up msg, i did a restart, as normal using top button, but the hub just hangs.  Many restarts later, it still wont function, just says 'preparing blackberry bub'. Any ideas where to go from here?

    Im not sure... !   Its so long since i set this up that i cant recsal even what Link is just now? Do i connect it to my laptop and run the software? P

    Yesterday my device started giving me problems which I have never experienced before. It firstly deleted my call log, then when I restarted it completely two days later it reset itself. I cannot access my emails nor configure my mailbox, my contacts are all gone, I cannot access my blackberry hub as it has been saying "preparing blackberry hub" for almost the whole day and I cannot send text messages or anything. Even if I restart it-with or without extracting the battery. Nothing happens. I haven't done any software updates lately. PLEASE HELP!!!

    Hold down the power button for 10 seconds to reset the phone.
    Try this first and if issue persists consider the options below if possible.

  • Blackberry hub on Z10 not working, cant access accounts.

    I got a Z10 a few weeks ago, today the BlackBerry Hub has stopped receiving emails. It's still showing texts and Facebook notifications. When I try to view just one account it says it's on that account but still shows all the hub messages.
    I recently added a Gmail account, so perhaps this is causing a problem, but I cannot access my accounts to change anything now. When I try to access accounts I just get a blank screen for a while then it goes back to the menu.
    I have restarted it but it made no difference.
    Haven't had a Blackberry before and have no idea what to try - would appreciate any help!

    Sorry for late reply. Have you try to reboot your device? Try to reboot in this way, when the device is powered on and connected to the wall charger, pull out the battery and leave it for 20 minutes. Then insert it again. Reboot in this way will eliminate any program error.
    But if the problem persist, you need to proceed to wipe your Z10. Go to Setting>Security and Privacy>Security Wipe. Leave your sim card and media card out before doing this wipe process.
    Don't forget to backup your data first. Wipe will delete all your contacts, email accounts and downloaded apps.
    When the wipe process has completed, use wifi connection to the initial setup with both sim card and sd card still out. After finish, turn it off and insert both media's to your device.
    Good luck and inform us the result.

  • How to switch between messages in the BlackBerry Hub

    With the release of BlackBerry 10 version 10.1, we’ve added a new gesture to the BlackBerry Hub that allows you to quickly switch between your next and previous messages. It’s simple: while viewing a message drag your finger from the left to the right and in one continuous motion swipe up or down.
    For example, in the following screenshot you’ll notice I am viewing ‘Test 08”. To get to the next message, “Test 09”, all I need to do is swipe from left to right (red arrow) followed by swiping up (green arrow) in a single motion. To switch to the previous message, “Test 07”, I complete the same gesture, but swipe down instead (blue arrow).
    Tip: Using a BlackBerry Q10 or Q5? On top of using this gesture to switch between messages, you also have the option of pressing the N key to view your next message, or the P key to view a previous message.
    If this gesture doesn’t appear to be working on your device, verify you are using BlackBerry 10.1.0.4181 or later by going to Settings > About and reviewing the OS Version field. If the OS Version is lower than 10.1.0.4181, check for updates by going to Settings > Software Updates.

    I would set up a variable before you get to that node, lets call it $EmpID and assign to it the value of the prompt you want to play lets say 12345 which would be the library promptID. It will then play prompt, get digits, and once you validate if it goes through the expression that flags it as invalid, in that node re-declare the variable, but this time give it the value of the new prompt you want to play, then sent it back to the node which will then play the new prompt and collect the digits.

  • Blackberry HUB "Show Read Filed Emails" ON AND OFF button SERIOUS Gmail PROBLEM NEED BUG FIX ASAP!

    Its been for years (starting from 10OS Version 10.2 ) I couldn't see filed/labeled emails in my Z30/Z10 Blackberry HUB of my Gmail account, but I just downloaded Blackberry Blend and it started to show all my filed/labeled emails, but I still cant see them in my Blackberry HUB! Maybe you can tell me how to make Read Filed Emails visible in Blackberry HUB too?
    Blackberry HUB >> Settings >> Display and Actions:
    Show Read Filed Emails is ON
    Show Sent Emails is ON
    Both are turned on, but I still cant see them like on Blackberry Blend.. On search field then I type specific email from filed/label from my Gmail account I immediately finds it, but then I go back to Blackberry HUB all I can see just emails from inbox and single sent emails and YES "SYNC ALL EMAIL FOLDERS" IS SET TO ON AND "SYNC TIMEFRAME" IS SET TO FOREVER (''Sync All Email Folders'' is set ON and ''Sync Timeframe'' is set FOREVER).

    I want to see all emails in devices Blackberry HUB like in Blackberry Blend desktop! What should I do to make it happen?
    I find out that then I click on the Blackberry HUB > Settings > Display and Actions: "Show Read Filed Emails" to ON or OFF again and again, view in Blackberry Blend immediately changes in order I did ON or OFF, that's pretty amazing, but Blackberry HUB DOESN'T RESPOND AT ALL! View is the same doesn't matter if I change it ON or OFF.
    View in Blackberry Blend starts to look the same like in phones Blackberry HUB then I click "Show Read Filed Emails" OFF, it looks like Blackberry HUB doesn't respond to ''Show Read Filed Emails'' ON and OFF button at all, ITS ALWAYS OFF! What should I do next??
    I'm using Blackberry Z30, but I have Z10 too and it also doesn't work and it looks like this "Show Read Filed Emails" not working button bug is on all 10 OS devices except Blackberry Blend desktop version which works perfectly confirms it.

    As you can see then ''Show Read Filed Emails'' is ON, Blackberry Blend changes and I can see all my emails (and there are a lot of unread ones! (sorry I blurred some of my emails for privacy)), but in my devices Blackberry HUB there is no changes and its displaying the same thing like ''Show Read Filed Emails'' was OFF. I miss a lot of emails and its really annoying and I think you understand why.. Blackberry Blend desktop version is a savior today, but THIS IS NOT A SOLUTION!
    Any FIX suggestions ASAP?

    I tried a lot of times to delete and sign in again and again, but it looks like only Blackberry Blend respond to every setting changes! Blackberry HUB doesn't respond AT ALL! Devices Blackberry HUB only show INBOX and SENT MESSAGES all the time, but if "Display Style" in Blackberry HUB is set to "Conversation" SENT MESSAGES disappear from devices Blackberry HUB too (in Blackberry Blend is everything FINE!) if they are part of CONVERSATION FILED/LABELS EMAILS!!
    All issues I been searching all this years and everyone was blaming Gmail, but it looks like ALL THIS YEARS THIS WAS Blackberry HUB "Show Read Filed Emails" ON and OFF button BUG/PROBLEM which doesn't work on devices Blackberry HUB and today Blackberry Blend desktop version CONFIRMS IT!!

    Have a problem with blackberry hub. In call tab all the numbers are without names although in contacts i have all of them saved. Tried reboot with 5 mins of waiting, tried restarting a hub - nothing helped.
    Any solution?

    To clarify - Are the same numbers displaying instead of names when you view them from the Phone application?
    Do you have the numbers saved with the full area code within the contact information?

  • Missing blackberry hub icon

    I have lost the blackberry hub icon from my home screen. I can access the hub, by going through the messages icon.
    Would like to install the notification hub icon on the homescreen. How do I do it?

  • Complainin​g about the Blackberry hub

    I just update my blackberry z30 last night but there was an error in the blackberry hub. The hub is always in landscape even i turn on the rotation lock.  But when i turn off the rotation lock, it was normal i can do both portrait and landscape.

    Am using a Z10.
    I installed Whatapps from BlackBerry World and didn't like it much so I got it uninstalled by holding press and delete the App. But in BlackBerry Hub it's still there, but not usable.
    How to delete it totally please!?

    It didn't work though. 
    I've got some photos to make it clearer about the issue. I'm not a long time BB user, just use it recently!
    I uninstalled Candid, FB Messenger and Whatapps a long time ago, and did soft reset quite a lot, also reset the Hub. 
    But still they appears in the Hub, not working. Like with FB Messenger, I could not compose a new message (of course, but if I could not, I want them to not in my sight any more). 
    I'm really in need of help! Thank you! 

  • Can not get accest to BLACKBERRY HUB.

    It has been more than 24 hours that I can not get access to my blackberry hub or other applications. At first BBM was working but eventually that stopped as well. Igrann, Snap10, Whats app and all the other applications are not opening. Even my laptop is unable to detect the phone, I can not use the security wipe since I have really important things saved on my phone memory, Have tried using every other process I could find on this forum regarding this, it still does not seem to work.

    Well, that's not what I asked... I didn't ask what your network was "set to" but rather what what the actual network signal is at the top of the homescreen, AND if it is showing as only "2g", then you won't get data.
    Must be "2G" or "3G", i.e., capital letters indicate data coverage.

  • BlackBerry Hub reloads on every message event very long

    Hi @ all,
    since I'm using BlackBerry OS 10.2(.0.424) on my Q10 the BlackBerry Hub tooks up to 20 seconds to refresh it's list when I recive a new message. Unfortunately the message preview on the lock screen doesn't work during the refresh, neither I can't read any messages.
    After refreshing everything works fine till I receive a new message. It doesn't matter if it's a mail, an SMS or a WhatsApp message. Of course I'm a communication victim with thousands of entries within the Hub, but am I the only one who have theese problems?

    Hello, sorry for my english, I'm french, and I need help:
    My Blackberry has decided yesterday to stop. I turn it on, and all the apps were messy, not in order.
    More, the blackberry hub was loading and loading, and it never ends...
    It stills load now, and I can't received message, can't connect to the wifi, can't do anything but calling people or sending message, but passing by the contact app, not the hub...

    @arthur72 offered some solid advice.
    Just let me add that if you're ever having issues with your Hub, you can reset just the Hub without resetting the entire phone. To do this, go to your Hub then swipe down diagonally from the top right corner to the center of the screen four times in a row. This will reset the Hub but will not affect the rest of the phone.

    Hello,<br>I just updated what's app application and it seems to have issues with the BlackBerry Hub. I can't access what's app chat from within the hub as I used to in past. In the updated version I have to open the app. Could you please fix. I use my hub only and find it annoying opening the app to answer. Or would this be a what's app issue?   • Twitter on Blackberry Hub

    Hi, I have an issue with tweeting from my blackberry hub. I have 2 twitter accounts on my twitter app.
    In the blackberry hub , I should be tweeting from my primary account. However, whenever I tweet or reply from my blackberry hub, it is doing so via my secondary account.
    Only when sending direct messages will it be from the primary account. Any idea how to fix this? Thanks in advance!

    More -> Settings -> Hub Management -> Facebook, Select Show in Separate Account only
