Preparing clip for website, show first 5 seconds, loop the next 5

I'm working on a title...
I would like the first 5 seconds to only show when a webpage is loaded, for simplification, we'll just say this is for QuickTime instead of a website.
The whole thing: animated background texture, animated texture on the text
The beginning: text appears using some effects, has the mentioned animated texture
The end: the background texture continues to animate, as well as the animated texture on the text
Only difference between beginning and end: the text does not need to appear, it only needs to show once when the video is played.
In summary:
Is it possible to have the first 5 seconds play once, and the next 5 seconds loop continuously? How?

Not in Livetype, no. all you do in LT is create the content. How it is played out or displayed is controlled in your streaming controller.

The phone number format as well as the date language and format and the time format are controlled by the Region Format setting. Go to Settings > General >International > Region Format. When you change a region format, you can go back one page (to International) and see an example of the date/time/phone number format that your selected region format will produce.

Try a Reset of your Device...
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons.

Song skips after 16 seconds to the next one

I bought a song in Itunes, but when I try to play it on my Imac the song skips after 16 seconds to the next one. I have this problem only on my Imac. The same song works on my iphone and can be played till the end.
I already checked the song information where you can set stopping points but there's no stopping point for this song set. I also aren't able to download the song again. So how can I fix this proplem?

A swf showing a trace on the next page

Hello,
I've got a problem with a SWF which shows a ghost in the next page.
When i'm reading a PDF document, if i've got a SWF on a page, when i go on the next page, i've got a square (trace) showing the place where was the swf on the previous page.
I tried to export with differents scales, with ou without fullscreen, etc…
As you can see, there are words (moving from the left to the right and the right to the left) on the right of the left image, on the next page (on the right), i've got a trace (blue square).

Make sure you set the properties of the SWF annotation to disable "when page is closed". It's a known problem that some parts of rich media annotations can persist in the display buffer unless the Flash Player instance is explicitly told to unload itself.

How slow is Safari for you at first boot of the day in 10.9.1?

I'm running Mavericks from an external FW800 disk.
When starting up for the first time each day, Safari bounces for about 60 seconds in the dock before opening. After that, it's very quick.
I have only 4 extension installed, but turning them off doesn't make any difference to that first launch time.
Firefox, in comparison, takes about 10 seconds first time - and is quick afterwards too.
Are these times typical? When I switch back to my Snow Leopard setup, everything - Safari included - launches immediately. It's always superfast.
I'm using a 2009 MBP with 8GB RAM. There's almost 300GB of spare space.

Reset Safari.
Click Safari in the menu bar.
From the drop down select "Reset Safari".
Checkmark the box beside " Remove all website data".
Click "Reset".
Empty Caches
Safari > Preference > Advanced
Checkmark the box for "Show Develop menu in menu bar".
"Develop" menu will appear in the Safari menu bar.
Click Develop and select "Empty Caches" from the dropdown.

How can I disable the previous button in the first page and the next button in the last page?

Hi all,
I have created a new skin for a webhelp by modifying the layout and the buttons. However, I am not able to find a way where in we can
disable the previous button ini the first page of the webhelp and hte the next page in the last page of the webhelp. If both the next and previous button is visibile in the first and last page, it is sort of misguiding the user.
I am using Robohelp 9.
Please advice.

I think you are mixing Previous and Next in a browse sequence and the Previous and Next that you get in the browser itself.
In a browse sequence, they are automatically disabled at the start and finish. When in the first topic in the sequence only Next will be enabled, when in the last topic only previous will be enabled.
Previous and Next in the browser are working on the topics your user has viewed which is not the same thing.

When I'm filling in the form on a website Firefox jumps down past the next block and I have to go back using my mouse cursor

For example on Find-A-Grave when filling in the form to add a memorial there are several blocks that you fill in including location. For some blocks you type in the information and others are pick one of the preset selections. I generally hit the tab key on my keyboard and goes to the next block except when it comes to the preset selection blocks. If I use the tab key to go to the next selection it skips right past the next selection to the selection below that. For example, after I fill in the year I hit the tab key and type u for the United States under the country selection. But in order to get the next block to appear I have to hit tab again (but only when using your browser). Your browser then skips past the state selection to the county selection. Then when I pick the state using the cursor it does it again and drops down to the Bio past the county selection.
When I use Internet Explorer I don't have this problem. I merely hit the tab button on my keyboard and it goes to the next selection rather than as your browser does that is skips to the block below.
Is there some reason you have it set up this way because it is quite annoying to have to go back up each time using the mouse cursor rather than continuing to use the keyboard to fill in everything (typing, tab key or using the arrow keys). To say the least it slows the whole process down a lot. No, it is not my computer. I've had the exact same problem using another computer. No, it is not the find-a-grave website. I just used it as an example. Using your browser forces me to stop using the keyboard to fill in a form and use the mouse and then the keyboard and then the mouse and then the keyboard and then the mouse, etc when it shouldn't be necessary when filling out a form on a website.

Are you having the problem with just the one site? Others?

Wait for a message to proceed to the next activity in BPM Process??

1. After a BPM process is initiated, is it possible to have a "Wait step" in the process ?...That is, I would like to continue to the next activity in the BPM process ONLY after I have received a certain message...
We do have a "Wait" step in ccBPM(PI) wherein , we could wait until a certain message is received(based on correlation) and then proceed to the next step....
Is this possible in BPM ???

Hi Arun,
In a nutshell, wait steps are not supported in EhP1. The workaround consists of splitting the process in two processes. In BPMN 1.1, wait steps are modeled using "Intermediate Message Events". The idea is to consider the intermediate message event as start event of the second process. The asynchronous aspect would be covered using PI.

Time machine needs its own partition to operate. So you are not going install a OSx Lion on that volume.
If there is enough room you may be able to partition the drive on the fly with DiskUtility
Are you saying you clean installed Lion and you are trying to move your user Data over with TM via the migration Assistant? Please explain.

Getting the TV shows to play automatically the next episode

Last night my iPod Touch automatically started playing the next episode of show ... this is something that I always wished that it did ... do you know how to make it do it ...

I know I can do that ... but my library is 1 terabyte ... So I sync my episodes every other day so I can get the most out of my 64 gigs ...
I don't wanna do that ... I have way too many episodes ... around 5000 ...
But I did something and all of a sudden I got 17 episodes on the screen and it started playing them one by one ...
Wondering what I did and how that happened ...

Ever since Firefox updated, I cannot view slideshows on websites. If I click the "Next" button to see the next slide in an article, nothing happens. Why is this? How can it be fixed? I've cleaered cache, done everything.

When I try to view any article with a slideshow, the next button on the slideshow doesn't work. It doesn't matter which website, it doesn't happen in other browsers (ie Chrome), and it didn't happen prior to the recent Firefox update. I've cleared cache, checked all of the settings, and nothing's fixing this. How do I fix it?

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Quicktime video clips for website

I would like to upload clips of a recent tv appearance on my website. The producer will give me the footage as a quicktime file, but he needs to know the following specs first: resolution, pixel h x w, and frame rate. (I'm not sure the producer himself knows what info he needs). Basically, each clip will be about three minutes long, and I'd like the best possible quality for the web, in a normal, youtube sized window. My webmaster doesn't know quicktime. Can anyone tell me what to tell the producer?

All you need to know is how big a file the're willing to allow to be downloaded.
There is sometimes a misconseption about streaming verses downloading a video. Streaming video requires a dedicated sever, (for the type of streaming you are going to be doing.)
If you are not going to stream, but rather download the video content, (known as progressive download) then the file can sit on the http server as a downloadable file, with a link to it, by embeding the files information in the web page, using the proper html code, from the vendor to the media content you are going to use.
We use Quicktime here and do true streaming, using a Xserver and stream via RTSP proticol. The web server then has a reference movie embed in the web page that directs the enduser to the streaming servers address, which is then sent to the web page with the embed information for QT and the end view can watch the movie, without every downloading any of the content to there local drive. This protects the content from being downloaded by the end user and alos gives random access to any part of the media, at will, (no waiting for all of the file to download, like progressive does.)
If you choose to do, (what most sites do, progressive download) then you only need the http web server and a large hardrive or RAID storage for the media content. These file are then downloaded when the end user clicks on the link provided in the web page, and you will see a progression bar below the movie as the file downloads. A dedicated streaming server is not used in this case, just the http server as a download server.
Most web movies are currently running a window at 320x240 or in my case, (using the QT codec, H.264) 480x360 for SD video. We stream at the following streaming sizes, 128k, 512k & 1024k, using the above window size for all.
Our software that we encode with is Episode Pro, (our primary encoder) or Cleaner 6.5, (this is a second choice, (due to lack of support by Auto Desk who owns Cleaner.) We also encode with Sorenson 4.5, but not offten.
