Preparing for 1Z0-133 exam

Hi Folks!
Could you suggest me some resource or books for preparing the new Weblogic 12c exam (1z0-133), please?
Thanks

Brandye will never have seen that book. I haven't either for that matter.
The best way to get a feel for whether any given third-party book will be of use for an exam is to compare the topics list from the OU website to the book. I would suggest printing the topics list first.  Then go to Amazon or another site where you can preview the book.  Almost always the table of contents can be previewed.  Compare the TOC to the topics list and highlight each topic when it appears a chapter in the book will cover that area.  Once you are done, the amount of topics highlighted/not highlighted will give you a reasonable impression of whether the book might be worthwhile as a study resource.

Can u help me guiding how to prepare for 1z0-050 exam. It will be every much useful to me.
    Thank

There's a new guide available for this test not mentioned in the supplied thread:
"Study Guide for 1Z0-050: Oracle Database 11g: New Features for Administrators: Oracle Certification Prep"
It's available at Amazon.com. Be aware that it is very condensed -- it's a study guide rather than a textbook. It should not be the sole source of your preparation for this test. On the plus side, I don't believe it to have near the number of errors that exist in the Oracle Press book for this test. You can also borrow it for free if you have a Kindle and are an Amazon Prime member.
Full Disclosure. I am the author.

nehaReading your post I am concerned, perhaps for no reason, that you may be targetting more at passing exams and gaining certifications rather than gaining Oracle knowledge and experience.
The properly perparing DBA candidate attempting to take the exam 'soon' should have calibre to be aware
    - http://www.oracle.com/pls/db112/homepage
    - there is an equivalent book by Sybex (Searchable for on major booksellers).
    - Courses at education.oracle.com
    - Authorised practice Tests: http://www.oracle.com/global/us/education/certification/sts.html
    - Training from Oracle ... http://www.oracle.com/education
Be aware there may be offers of unauthorised learning material ....
    http://blogs.oracle.com/certification/2009/05/the_route_you_choose.html
(Posts like this one often encourages spamming by dishonourable certification unsafe braindump promotors).
Unlike 1z0-051the 1z0-052 exam treated as a 'high stakes' exam.
'Easy' is relative; however i suspect many would find 1z0-051 easier than 1z0-052.

    Hi
Can I prepare for 1z0-402 and 1z0-403 (Oracle Enterprise Linux Administrator Certified Associate) with CentOS? Because there are no free security updates for Oracle Linux.

This is RHEL/OEL 4 based, so centos or OEL or RHEL could be used as appropriate. They important thing to note is the '4' .. which is now a little ancient ... some things a little different in '5' and '6'. The exam could usefully do with a makeover IMHO.

I will use Barclays Card for 18 month free interest.
I wil ask Apple clerk to avoid LG monitor.
I will buy those in Apple store.
    Which one will you recommend?

Tha's something you need to decide for yourself.
Do you think you need 16GB of memory or 8 will be enough?
Do you need to carry your macbook around with you more often? if so just get the 13" it's easier to carry.
Or maybe you enjoy watching media on a bigger screen?
As for word processing it shouldn't be a problem on both notebooks.
Also can you afford buying the 15"?
And what about the hard drive capacity?
So my advice is to consider these aspects, make a list of pros and cons and see what you come up with

  • How to prepare for 1zo 052 exam?

    Hi
I have recently passed my 1zo-051 exam and i am looking forward to taking the next step to become a certfied admin profession .I am not very sure as to how to prepare for the exam should i study dumps and ebooks or should i go for practical training download the software set it up  from scratch and learn ?

    >should i study dumps and ebooks or should i go for practical training download the software set it up  from scratch and learn ?
'Dumps' is short for Brain Dumps and these are not valid preparation materials.  Using them can cause you to be banned from the Oracle certification program.
Installing the software is good preparation. You can also find a number of links to valid study materials here:

Thanks for the url, i read the same completely. Although i appreciate this guy's honesty in expressing his views but unfortunately he does not talk much on especially which book he exactly referred. He did mention one of the technique which he used i.e. Flash cards creation
So appreciate if you or someone could guide me on the book for 1Z0-042 and 1Z0-043

LearnerI personally thought the statement in that post:
The various prep guides were a mixed bag. The Sybex one was reasonably good and was my main guide, with the Oracle as a supplement. Indicated he used the Sybex book as a main guide with the Oracle (Press) one as a supplement. Reasonably clear. The other interesting concept is to in fact use both. I am preparing for the 1Z0-142 exam.
Could anyone please pss me on the sample test papers or mock tests, if possible?

    Any help appreciated.
    Thank You

First, "cheating" will likely invalidate your certification. See the OCP FAQ as a start.
That said, if you go via exam (e.g. 1Z0-042) links on
    http://education.oracle.com/pls/web_prod-plq-dad/db_pages.getpage?page_id=151
you will find recommended preparation, authorized practice exams and exam topics.

  • Whether it is good to take training for 1z0-047 exams or self studies?

What is the good option among bottom two for 1z0-047:
Take training from Oracle partner training institute which cost me approximately 9000 rupees i.e apprx $195.
    Or
    Self study is better one???
If self study is better then from which material I can start preparing???
    Please guide me..........

IMHO Really to get to 1z0-047 you need to get some SQL practice first ... and from other than a classroom. To get to 1z0-047 in one hop simply isn't reasonable for most people.
The praice quoted there seems cheap for a OEAC .... and i would be beware exactly what 'Oracle partner training institute' means .... ( I think you are proably talking about an offering from the workforce program). The are unauthorised trainers out there ... which is a problem for people aiming for a certification needing validiated authorised training (eg DBA OCP) .... but not so important for PL/SQL OCP's who don;t.

  • How I prepare for the MCP exam?

How I prepare and how can I get the syllabus?
Are there books for MCP exam?

First of all, the syllabus for each exam is in the exam description page, under the heading "Skills Measured". For instance, for exam 70-410, the exam description page is here:
https://www.microsoft.com/learning/en-us/exam-70-410.aspx. For other exams, you can change the number at the end of the URL, or find the link from www.microsoft.com/learning.
I personally prepare for the exams by taking the Skills Measured list and checking each entry to verify that I have the corresponding knowledge. If I find an entry that I don't know much about, I search MSDN and/or Technet for documentation, or I browse
the web for articles or tutorials on the subject.
Alternatively, if you prefer guided learning, examine the section "Preparation Options" in the exam description page. You wil see many options such as books and courses. Not every MCP exam has a corresponding book, but many of them do, so this
is a viable option if you are familiar enough with the subject matter to be able to learn from a book.

  • How to prepare for 1Z0-204, 1Z0-225 and 1z0-226 certifications?

    Hi everyone,
I am done with the instructed led training from Oracle University for Oracle SCM Apps(ESSENTIALS, INV, PUR, OM).
I would like to take the basic certifications like 1Z0-204 (ESSENTIALS), 1Z0-225 (INV and PUR) and 1Z0-226 (INV and OM) for further growth opportunities. Since i am totally new to SCM field, i would like to know if the materials(Student Guides) given by Oracle University would be sufficient for my preparation or should i have some implementation exp before i take up these exams.
Please note i am not asking for dumps, just want to know if the materials given by ORACLE UNIVERSITY are enough for my preparations. Are questions based out of those slides or do they come from implementation exp as well. Seniors who have recently taken up these exams, please guide me.
I already have 4 yrs exp in I.T. . would be shifting to Oracle SCM Apps in the near future.
    Thanks,

Krishnakumar NI never attempted those exams but I can speak of my experience with 11i/R12 Sysadmin, Apps DBA, and 9i/10g/11g OCP certification that most questions are from the student guides. However, having experience with implementation might make it easier for you.
    Thanks,
