Prepend a 1 to a number in CID

When I want to call a long distance number back that is in the Caller ID list, it always says I must dial a '1' first.  Is there a way, I can set the phone up to always prepend a '1' to the number.  Our cell phones do this with no problem.
Thanks,
Bemax

I really like your idea. What is the point of the redial or return call feature if it always tells you to dial 1 first? The system would need to know if the number was long distance from your local exchange. Not all customers have unlimited long distance on their voice plan. I believe most cell systems are now nationwide.

  • Support for Skype Number Calling ID Australia

    Hi there
So I was wondering if there will be any support for skype number calling id in the future in australia. It is quite frustrating not having any support for ksype calling id in australia. Was wondering when support will become availible. I'm sure many of you are also feeling my pain. You pay enough for the number so you should be able to have the number as the out going caller id.
    Thanks.

When will we be able to use the Skype supplied number for CID (Caller ID) in Australia?
I've been trying to get a straight answer for this for over 3 years.  The closest I had was that the system can only verify the owner of a number by sending an SMS to it.  Well, if Skype supplies the number in the first place they already have me validated!
Given that a mobile number can be used in Australia already why can't the Skype number be put into place?
Can a moderator or support staff please comment here?
    Thank you.  Daymo.

  • O/R mapping and datastore identity

    Hi all,
we are currently trying to map an existing database schema to JDO. We have
not been able to map "correctly" to the existing schema in two
different cases. Any input that you may have to us on this is highly
    appreciated.
    Inheritance with indicators
In one part of the model, we use a single character indicator to
distinguish between which concrete class is to be instantiated. We
thus have a table A with columns:
    type varchar2(1)
    id number(10)
Other tables relate to this table. Some tables can only relate to some
types. To ensure that the relational model
expresses the correct constraints about which objects can relate to
one another, all our foreign keys include both the type and the
id. Still, the id is taken from a sequence and should be considered
    datastore identity.
When mapping this to Kodo JDO, we cannot make (type,id) the primary
key and have datastore identity. We have had to compromise and use
just the id as the primary key (which is in fact unique "by
convention"). This in turn means that we cannot use (type,id) as the
reference from other tables (e.g. B), since a lookup from A to B then
includes the A table in the SQL fired just to get the correct type.
Are we missing something here? I would assume that this would be a
normal problem if using datastore identity and flat inheritance
mapping. And in fact, Kodo must know the value of the type for any A
object, since it has the instance and can simply relate the class to
the type through the metadata (however, this only partly solves the
problem). Is there a workaround we can use? Can we extend the primary
key/reference support to support this ourselves?
    Sub-objects
In another part of our model, we have a table C where each record can
have a number of records in a table D:
    C:
    id number(10)
    D:
    id number(10)
    Cid number(10) (references C.id)
In the database, the primary key for D is (id, Cid). id is drawn from
a sequence and is thus unique "by convention". Other tables relate to
D through (id, Cid), thus we will need a unique index on this.
Again, we have had to make id the primary key of D and let all
relations to it only join on the id field when doing the mapping.
We are reluctant to introduce new indexes in the database since this
will be harmful to our import performance.
Is there a workaround for this, or are we simply not doing this
    correctly??

    Inheritance with indicators
---------------------------If the type column is part of the primary key, I would suggest using application
identity. You can use extensions like sequence-assigned to still have the id
    value auto-assigned.
    Sub-objects
-----------Again, I would use application identity.

  • Got my BlackBerry Pearl bluetooth*ed* to my computer for internet usage!

entered in some settings and now i have wireless internet everywhere I go!

    1. Go back to the link I provided previously and download the Modem Script for the BlackBerry 8100, It will download as a txt. file. Once you download it delete the file extension and move in into modem scripts in your library.
    2. Make sure your BB is paired with your computer. You will have to go open up bluetooth preferences and either setup, or configure your existing settings for your BB. When you run the setup wizard again it will ask you if you want to use the modem services for the phone. Select the GPRS setting. On the next screen it will ask you to find the modem script for it locate the modem script, which is what you downloaded in step 1.
    3. On the BB go to option/advanced options/tcp/ and under the APN settings enter "wap.voicestream.com" leave username and password blank.
    4. Open up dial-up the networking preference on the mac. Make sure you have selected to configure the bluetooth network. under the PPP tab enter "guest" for username and password. For Dial Up Number or CID string (same box) enter "wap.voicestream.com". make sure the bluetooth is turned on both the computer and phone.
    5. Open up the Internet connect app on the mac and connect.
    I hope i didn't miss anything.
    Hope this helps.

  • How to tell Oracle to use spindles efficiently?

I am creating an Oracle database on a server that has multiple disks and is running a RAID set. How do I tell Oracle to use all the disk spindles efficently by striping the data across all disks on the server?
    Thank you!

    I'm not using 8.0.5 anymore; I'm using 8.1.7, so I can't test
any theories on what will work in 8.0.5, but I believe I
remember that the "PRAGMA RESTRICT_REFERENCES (WNDS);" was only
required for packaged functions. Can you compile your function
all by itself, outside of the package, and just call it from
some procedure within the package? I think that would eliminate
the conflict between WNDS and DBMS_SQL.PARSE. I did a little
testing and the following seemed to work:
    CREATE OR REPLACE FUNCTION GetMaxNum
      (nTable IN VARCHAR2,
       year   IN NUMBER)
      RETURN     NUMBER
    IS
      cid        INTEGER;

  • Can't "prepend" a phone number from a text, document or website?

When the Pre recognizes a phone number in a text message, e-mail, document or website, it allows you to click on the number to call it.  Great so far.  Unfortunately, once you do so, and completely arbitrarily, the phone won't let you make any edits of any kind to the phone number except to add or delete from the end of the number.  Every phone I've ever had has allowed me to "prepend" a number (to, for example, add an area code).  More to the point, there is simply no good reason for the Pre to prevent me from making whatever edits I want to the number.  I should be fully able to hold down the orange key and move the cursor anywhere that I want within the number and then make edits, just like I can when I enter a number manually.  Unfortunately, for no apparent good reason, the phone allows no edits of any sort to any number I've clicked on from another source.
Can anybody suggest a workaround, or do is this just one of those bizarre "what were they thinking" type things I have to live with?
Post relates to: Pre p100eww (Sprint)

Yeah, and I can also copy and paste the number instead of just clicking on it, but both solutions completely and entirely defeat the whole purpose and convenience of being able to simply click on a number in another source to dial it.  I don't want to have to add numbers I'm going to be calling only once to contacts just to make small changes before I dial them, and then have to delete them from contacts when I'm done.  There is a reason that users can simply click on phone numbers in documents and texts to dial them, and that is convenience.  Not being able to make simple edits kills off some of that convenience.  Workarounds like adding to contacts or cutting and pasting kill almost all of it.

    SIP/2.0 403 Forbidden error
If your router is sending a SIP/2.0 403 Forbidden error to the SIP server you are registered to, there is a good chance your  router is blocking the incoming call due to the toll-faud prevention  feature that was added to IOS version 15.1(2)T.
How to Identify if TOLLFRAUD_APP is Blocking Your Call
If the TOLLFRAUD_APP is rejecting the call, it generates a Q.850       disconnect cause value of 21, which represents ‘Call Rejected’. The       debug voip ccapi inout command can be run to       identify the cause value.
Additionally, voice iec syslog can be       enabled to further verify if the call failure is a result of the toll-fraud       prevention. This configuration, which is often handy to troubleshoot the origin       of failure from a gateway perspective, will print out that the call is being       rejected due to toll call fraud. The CCAPI and Voice IEC output is demonstrated       in this debug output:
%VOICE_IEC-3-GW: Application Framework Core: Internal Error (Toll fraud call rejected):
    IEC=1.1.228.3.31.0 on callID 3 GUID=F146D6B0539C11DF800CA596C4C2D7EF

       >>>>CCAPI handed cid 3 with tag 1002 to app "_ManagedAppProcess_TOLLFRAUD_APP"
    000185: *Apr 30 14:38:57.251: //3/F146D6B0800C/CCAPI/ccCallDisconnect:
       Cause Value=21, Tag=0x0, Call Entry(Previous Disconnect Cause=0, Disconnect Cause=0)
The Q.850 disconnect value that is returned for blocked calls can also       be changed from the default of 21 with this command:
    voice service voip
    ip address trusted call-block cause
How to Return to Pre-15.1(2)T Behavior
    Source IP Address Trust List
There are three ways to return to the previous behavior of voice       gateways before this trusted address toll-fraud prevention feature was       implemented. All of these configurations require that you are already running       15.1(2)T in order for you to make the configuration change.
Explicitly enable those source IP addresses from which you would like           to add to the trusted list for legitimate VoIP calls. Up to 100 entries can be           defined. This below configuration accepts calls from those host           203.0.113.100/32, as well as from the network 192.0.2.0/24. Call setups from           all other hosts are rejected. This is the recommended method from a voice           security perspective.
    voice service voip
    ip address trusted list
      ipv4 203.0.113.100 255.255.255.255
      ipv4 192.0.2.0 255.255.255.0
Configure the router to accept incoming call setups from all source           IP addresses.
    voice service voip
    ip address trusted list
      ipv4 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0
Disable the toll-fraud prevention application completely.
    voice service voip
    no ip address trusted authenticate
    Two-Stage Dialing
If two-stage dialing is required, the following can be configured to       return behavior to match previous releases.
    For inbound ISDN calls:
    voice service pots
    no direct-inward-dial isdn
    For inbound FXO calls:
    voice-port
    secondary dialtone

  • Report Region incrementing ID number by 1 using Javascript

I have a report that pulls file names and id numbers from a table and displays them on the page.
I have set the 'id' column, which is a number type field in the table, to be a link to a javascript url that uses that number to delete the file from the table in question.
Whenever the javascript call passes the ID number to the function, it seem to round the number off - somtimes increasing the value by one and sometimes decreasing the value of the number.
    My link on the report uses this syntax;
    javascript:delFile(#ID#);
and the delFile function is as follows:
    function delFile(cid){
    var auth = $v('P52_AUTH');
    if (auth.indexOf('D')>=0 || auth.indexOf('A')>=0) {
    window.open('f?p=&APP_ID.:119:&SESSION.::NO::P119_DOCID:'+cid,'PopUp','scrollbars=no,resize=no,height=300,width=300');
    else {
    alert('You do not have sufficient rights to delete documents.');
I am at a loss. Why does the 'cid' var get rounded up or down when the variable gets populated?

I concur with what you are saying - this is standard javascript handling and my first assessment of the situation was that it had something to do with the data in the tables. The problem is that the data in the table is simply a number, and the function is passed the number through the link on the page.
Putting a functioning example on apex.oracle.com would be like me dealing with a problem I am having painting a house by building a robot to dip the paint brush in the paint bucket for me. The test would never result in an apples to apples example, and is far too complex an option to give any valuable return. Additionally, the reason I submitted the results I did is because when it works for a particular record in the table, it always works no matter what. When it doesn't work, it doesn't ever work for the data record in question. There isn't any mystery in this except for the 'black box' that is in the middle of it that populates the #ID# value. Is there anything under the hood with that that could cause the number to inexplicably round off?
My next guess that I have not tested is if the issue happens in Internet Explorer as opposed to Firefox. I have seen the problem in Firefox on Windows and Firefox on Ubuntu.
Is there anything in the report template that could cause the #ID# to inexplicably round itself?
I will do some additional testing and post what I find.

    Hi,
I need the number of characters including spaces on the new pages for an online document I have to fill in. I've found the character count excluding spaces but this is of no use to me.

  • Credit card payment with eway returns "invoice number not found" on BC

    dear all,
I am currently working on the payment gateway of pared.com.au. the problem we're having is that every credit card payment gets redirected to the "Credit Card Payment Fail" page, although the payment was marked as successful on eway.
eway transaction details stated "response code: 00", response text "transaction approved".
however, the CC payment fail page stated:
"there was an error processing your credit card. please correct this and try again.
invoice number not found: . please go back and correct this."
strangely enough, the order is perfectly recorded as successful order in BC (customers -> orders).
any help would be much appreciated - i've been looking at this for hours but i'm getting nowhere. thanks everyone!

    Thank you for contacting us!
I just see your online shop purchase form, which contains update credit card fields,
    http://screencastmb.worldsecuresystems.com/img/2013-02-20_1309.png
As per the field description, it's used fo rupdating CC details, not for purchases.
Remove that system field and reinsert the form, and it should then work
    Kind Regards

  • Call Forwarding / Displayed Number on Forwarding target with H.323 Gateway

    Hi Community,
i´m wondering if there is sort of a simple way to get this working properly.
    Scenario:
Germany, variable dial plan, no fixed NANP, and we have ClipNoScreening ;)
We use 0 for getting PSTN-dialing.
We have internal DNs, for example a 6789, 4 Digits. We use external phone number mask on our lines, 123456XXX
    Our main number is 0123/456-xxx
When i call outside everything is displayed fine on the called target, +49 123/456789.
When i forward a call on my cellphone, with CFA target of 00111/222333444 (my cellphone example), and an internal colleague from within our office, is calling my office phone, everything is ALSO displayed fine.
    Now here comes the BUT:
When someone calls from PSTN on my office-phone, i get displayed on my cellphone the +49 (0) 0xxxxxxxx, which means the caller number PLUS the added 0 from the gateway. Which is completely consequent and correct, since we add them on the gateway, when a call comes in, to be able to just answer directly on the office phone.
The rule on the H323 gateway:
    voice translation-profile OUTGOING-VOIP
     translate calling 1
     translate called 2
    voice translation-rule 1
rule 1 /^\(.*\)/ /0\1/ type subscriber unknown plan any unknown
rule 2 /^\(.*\)/ /00\1/ type national unknown plan any unknown
rule 3 /^\(.*\)/ /000\1/ type international unknown plan any unknown

     rule 6 /4560$/ /6600/
     rule 9 /^456\(...\)$/ /6\1/

     rule 2 /^0/ // type unknown subscriber
     rule 3 /^00/ /0/ type unknown national

     rule 3 /^000\(.*$\)/ /\1/ type unknown international
     rule 4 /^00\(.*$\)/ /\1/ type unknown national
     rule 5 /^0\(.*$\)/ /\1/ type unknown subscriber
    dial-peer voice 10456 voip

     destination-pattern 456.T
     progress_ind setup enable 3
     modem passthrough nse codec g711ulaw
     session target ipv4:<IP-OF-CUCM>
     incoming called-number .
     voice-class codec 1
     voice-class h323 1
     dtmf-relay h245-alphanumeric
     fax-relay ecm disable
     fax rate disable
     fax protocol pass-through g711ulaw
     no vad
     no supplementary-service h225-notify cid-update
    dial-peer voice 345000 pots
     tone ringback alert-no-PI
     translation-profile outgoing OUTGOING-POTS
     destination-pattern 0.T
     progress_ind alert enable 8
     progress_ind progress enable 8
     progress_ind connect enable 8
     port 0/0/0:15
     forward-digits all
In case of forwarding the external call to an external device, like for example a cellphone, this is crap.
Its obvious regarding the debugs all is working as designed ;), because my phone just forwards the full calling number including the added 0, since i put in to forward the originating calling DN.
    My question now:
Can i simply correct this behavior somehow, also for international calls which would the 00 get added by the gateway?
Many thanks in advance for some input,
    Andreas
