PREQ/PO Header Field Text

Hi Gurus,
I have a situation here, "Can  we add a new text field in the header of the Prequisition and PO? I would like to create a new text field on the Preq called "Approver Notes". I would like the contents of this field to transfer over to the PO with a new field also called "Approver Notes"."
Resolution : I added new text called "Approver Notes"as required in Header of the PREQ and also in the header of the PO.
and checked if the text in approver notes of the PREQ are getting copied automatically to the PO,which is not happening any inputs??

Hi Srikanth,
I believe this is not possible, because you can link several PR's to one PO, then how would system recognize which text from which PR to Copy, that is why only item text copy function is available, we however have some workarounds discussed in SDN please refer the below links, check if this helps you.

  • HTTP Header fields in SOAP adapter - Part 2

    Hi All,
    With regards to my previous thread HTTP Header fields in SOAP adapter
    my header issue is solved and hence I have closed the thread but still I am not able to make the connection successful. The new problem is below
    My vendor requirement is to specify the header as "Ent-sender" but when we give the same in XI in communication channel it automatically convets into uppercase "ENT-SENDER".  Due to case-sensitive in vendor server the connection is not gettingestablished.
    Please help me out how to solve the problem.
    <b>Note:</b> Sorry for the new thread as it was created due to new problem and also the previuos thread is already too long.
    Regards,
    Dhill

    Hi Neaves,
      Thank you, I jave seen the note and find the below solution will be some what realated to my prblem.
    <u><b>The nosoap mode lets the adapter send the XI payload directly without wrapping it in the SOAP envelope. Although the main use of this mode is to send some plain text content directly to some web server, one can use this mode to send their own SOAP message (e.g., with arbitrary headers) to an external web service (See related questions). In this case, the XI payload must be formatted in the SOAP envelope.
               To use the nosoap mode, the channel must be configured to use no SOAP envelope.</b></u>
    If yes, can you please let me know how to use nosoap mode otherise let me the other possibilities.  I am already using tcpg2.zip to trace the SOAP adapter in which it was confirmed that XI is changing the header automatically into CAPS whatever case we give,

  • How to use Standard Text Key in maintenance order header long text?

    Dear All,
    I have created a standard text key using transaction CA10 and I want to use this in maintenance order header long text. Is there any way to select any standard text key in maintenance order header long text?
    Regards & Thanks,
    Saif

    Hi
    To use standard texts, perform the following six steps:
    Select the maintenance order and access the operation overview screen using Goto -->Operation overview.
    You can enter standard text keys in this screen or in a detail screen for the relevant operation.
    Enter a standard text key in the appropriate field and press ENTER .
    If the text is longer that the short text line available, the field Text is selected for that operation.
    Check the long text and edit it if necessary. To do this, select the operation and choose Operation--> Long text.
    The system branches to the text editor screen. If you also entered a short text for the operation and specified that this should not be overwritten by the standard text, you will see the short text displayed in the first line of the editor. The following lines contain the standard text.
    Check the standard text and change it if necessary.
    Save the final version of the text and return to the previous screen with Goto--> Back.
    Save the maintenance order.
    Standard texts are created for your system by your system administrator using the Customizing function.

  • Header Fields not picked in Http Adapter

    Hi ,
    I am sending a few custom header fields that have been set up in the HTTP adapter but for some reason they are not picked.
    Any suggestions..
    -Teresa

    Thanks Sameer,
      This note did help us pick up the header fields but on picking up it returns the header fields in lower case instead of the case Sensitive format I sent it in ..I looked at the trace log too and its in case sensitive format but when my 3rd party receives it, it is in lower case format...funny even the <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" standalone="yes" ?>
    is also in lowercase..I am running XI 3.0 SP4..Is it an XI issue or something to do with my integration server which processes my HTTP adapter??? Or any other notes also needs to be applied??
    Please help..

  • Soap receiver - owerwrite default http header fields

    Hi,
    I'm using the soap receiver adapter in nosoap mode.
    How can I owerwrite the default settings for the header fields in the http request?
    The soap adapter will automatically set content-type = application/xml.
    I would like for example set "text/xml".
    Thanks,
    Bela

    Dear Mohan,
    I tryed with the keep headers option but it didn't change anything to the HTTP header fields.
    In the documentation we have the following : Keep Headers
    If you want to include the header of the XI message in the Web service message, set the indicator.
    Does it mean that I have to create a HTTP header section in the XI message??? Do you have an example?
    Best regards,

  • Table for PO-header node text

    Hi all,
    In which table the po-header node text will gets saved.
    Thanks in advance.
    Thanks,
    Asmitha.

    Hi
    No where you will find the entire Long text of this type
    All texts will be stored with the Paramters like OBJECT,ID,NAME,LANG in STXH tables
    You have to use READ_TEXT fun module to fetch this text by passing the above 4 parameters.
    Double click on the text, from the Menu GOTO-> Header
    will see the above 4 paramters
    pass them to fetch this text
    READ_TEXT
    READ_TEXT provides a text for the application program in the specified work areas.
    The function module reads the desired text from the text file, the text memory, or the archive. You must fully specify the text using OBJECT, NAME, ID, and LANGUAGE. An internal work area can hold only one text; therefore, generic specifications are not allowed with these options.
    After successful reading, the system places header information and text lines into the work areas specified with HEADER and LINES.
    If a reference text is used, SAPscript automatically processes the reference chain and provides the text lines found in the text at the end of the chain. If an error occurs, the system leaves the function module and triggers the exception REFERENCE_CHECK.
    Function call:
    CALL FUNCTION 'READ_TEXT'
    EXPORTING CLIENT = SY-MANDT
    OBJECT = ?...
    NAME = ?...
    ID = ?...
    LANGUAGE = ?...
    ARCHIVE_HANDLE = 0
    IMPORTING HEADER =
    TABLES LINES = ?...
    EXCEPTIONS ID =
    LANGUAGE =
    NAME =
    NOT_FOUND =
    OBJECT =
    REFERENCE_CHECK =
    WRONG_ACCESS_TO_ARCHIVE =
    Export parameters:
    CLIENT
    Specify the client under which the text is stored. If you omit this parameter, the system uses the current client as default.
    Reference field: SY-MANDT
    Default value: SY-MANDT
    OBJECT
    Enter the name of the text object to which the text is allocated. Table TTXOB contains the valid objects.
    Reference field: THEAD-TDOBJECT
    NAME
    Enter the name of the text module. The name may be up to 70 characters long. Its internal structure depends on the text object used.
    Reference field: THEAD-TDNAME
    ID
    Enter the text ID of the text module. Table TTXID contains the valid text IDs, depending on the text object.
    Reference field: THEAD-TDID
    LANGUAGE
    Enter the language key of the text module. The system accepts only languages that are defined in table T002.
    Reference field: THEAD-TDSPRAS
    ARCHIVE_HANDLE
    If you want to read the text from the archive, you must enter a handle here. The system uses it to access the archive. You can create the handle using the function module ACHIVE_OPEN_FOR_READ.
    The value '0' indicates that you do not want to read the text from the archive.
    Reference field: SY-TABIX
    Default value: 0
    Import parameters:
    HEADER
    If the system finds the desired text, it returns the text header in this parameter.
    Structure: THEAD
    Table parameters:
    LINES
    The table contains all text lines that belong to the text read.
    Structure: TLINE
    Exceptions:
    ID
    The text ID specified in the parameter ID does not exist in table TTXID. It must be defined there together with the object of the text module.
    LANGUAGE
    The parameter LANGUAGE contains a language key that does not exist in table T002.
    NAME
    The parameter NAME contains the name of a text module that does not correspond to the SAPscript conventions.
    Possible errors:
    The field contains only blanks.
    The field contains the invalid characters ‘*’ or ‘,’.
    OBJECT
    The parameter OBJECT contains the name of a text object that does not exist in table TTXOB.
    NOT_FOUND
    The system did not find the specified text module.
    REFERENCE_CHECK
    The text module to be read has no text lines of its own but refers to the lines of another text module. This reference chain can include several levels. For the current text, the chain is interrupted, that is, one of the text modules referred to in the chain no longer exists.
    WRONG_ACCESS_ TO_ARCHIVE
    The exception WRONG_ACCESS_TO_ARCHIVE is triggered if an archive is accessed using an incorrect or non-existing archive handle or an incorrect mode (that is, read if the archive is open for writing or vice versa).

  • Sort By Header Field

    Dear experts,
    When i try to understand sort how exactly its working i got this below.
    SORT [ASCENDING|DESCENDING] [AS TEXT] [STABLE]
        ... BY <fi> [ASCENDING|DESCENDING] [AS TEXT]...
    Ends the creation of the extract dataset of a program and, at the same time, sorts its records. Without the BY option, the system sorts the dataset by the key specified in the HEADER field group. You can define a different sort key by using the BY addition. The other additions specify whether you want to sort in ascending or descending order, and whether strings should be sorted alphabetically.
    Without the BY option, the system sorts the dataset by the key specified in the HEADER field group.
    How to define header with Key?
    Regards,
    Kiruthika.

    You can use the SORT option for Plant field  if you only need the Sorting in ascending order .
    In case you also want to have something like : Title : Plant 1 ( description plant 1 ) -. you have to manually insert a line in the ALV for every new plant.

  • How to avoid WRAP of EXCEL Column HEADER Fields

    We have 3 tablix in the rdl file with 11 inch * 8.5 inch (to print in A4)
    Tablix 1 - HTML viewer
    Tablix 2 - EXCEL
    Tablix 3 - PDF
    The size of the rdl is fixed , if size altered then printing becomes an issue.
    So we have to keep the rdl size fix
    but at the same time the WRAP of column header of the EXCEL need to be avoided ,
    because if the size of the column header is not reduced then we cannot be able to accomodate in the defined page size
    Eaxmple of SOme Header Field Name
    1.OccupationCode
    2.ChargeJobPhase which are quiet large fields, so it need to be wrapped(to reduce the length of the column to accomodate ) to fit in the page.
    So as an Alternative option  I use the COncept of Subreport and called it by adding row outside group otherwise the
    Report Server treats subreport as new report for each instance of the parent report.
    The challenge we faced is when export to EXCEL some of the columns is getting merged , I believe the size of the child report (sub report) is having the length
    greater than the parent report (Called Report )  and the size has to be large otherwise the COLUMN HEADER need to reduced which makes it Wrapped
    So  is there any alternative without changing the parent report size and without WRAPPING the HEADER text of CHild report the MERGING of cell can be avoided.
    Since MERGING is happening which is not allowing us to PUT  FILTER in EXCEL but we need to have FILTER applicable since the END user use it to sort, find the records.

    Hi SubhadipRoy,
    In Reporting Services, whether to wrap text or not is depended on the CanGrow property. If we set the CanGrow property of tablix header row to true, then the header row of tablix will be expanded. If we set the CanGrow property of tablix header row
    to false, the header row will be shrunk as the designed size.
    So if we want to avoid wrap text, we can try to set the CanGrow property of tablix header row to false in Reporting Services level. Alternatively, we can click the Wrap Text button to enable the expended extra-long text property in Excel level.
    If there are any other questions, please feel free to ask.

  • Me_gui_po_cust for header fields

    HI ALL,
    I have created a tab "CUSTTAB" in ME21n header with 2 additional fileds i.e: zzfields1 & zzfield2 i have also appended them in structure ci_ekkodb of table ekko. I have used BADI'S : ME_GUI_PO_CUST  &  ME_PROCESS_PO_CUST.
    I can see the tab & both the additional fields but the data for these additional fields is not getting saved in  ekko table.
    When i implemented this badi for LINEITEM  the data was getting saved in ekpo table:the method 'IF_EX_ME_GUI_PO_CUST~TRANSPORT_FROM_MODE' of me_gui_po_cust incase of line item was:
    method IF_EX_ME_GUI_PO_CUST~TRANSPORT_FROM_MODEL.
       data: l_item       type ref to if_purchase_order_item_mm,
            ls_mepoitem  type mepoitem,
            ls_customer  type zmepo_badi_examp.
    system asks to transport data from the business logic into the view
      case im_name.
        when subscreen1.
    is it an item? im_model can be header or item.
          mmpur_dynamic_cast l_item im_model.
          check not l_item is initial.
    transport standard fields
          ls_mepoitem = l_item->get_data( ).
    transport customer fields
         call function 'ZMEPOBADIEX_GET_DATA'
           exporting
             im_ebeln = ls_mepoitem-ebeln
             im_ebelp = ls_mepoitem-ebelp
           importing
             ex_data  = ls_customer.
    store info for later use
          move-corresponding ls_mepoitem to dynp_data_pbo.

    hi abap user,
       I also have same requirement of an additional tab on PO header with 2 fields inif i have used ME_GUI_PO_CUST and ME_PROCESS_PO_CUST.     in method SUBSCRIBE of ME_GUI_PO_CUST  i have written following code which is same as example code for that method.
    METHOD IF_EX_ME_GUI_PO_CUST~SUBSCRIBE.
      DATA: LS_SUBSCRIBER LIKE LINE OF RE_SUBSCRIBERS.
    we want to add a customer subscreen on the item detail tab
      CHECK IM_APPLICATION = 'PO'.
      CHECK IM_ELEMENT     = 'HEADER'.
    each line in re_subscribers generates a subscreen. We add one subscreen in this example
      CLEAR RE_SUBSCRIBERS[].
    the name is a unique identifier for the subscreen and defined in this class definition
      LS_SUBSCRIBER-NAME = SUBSCREEN1.
    the dynpro number to use
      LS_SUBSCRIBER-DYNPRO = '0001'.
    the program where the dynpro can be found
      LS_SUBSCRIBER-PROGRAM = 'SAPLMEPOBADIEX'.
    each subscreen needs his own DDIC-Structure
      LS_SUBSCRIBER-STRUCT_NAME = 'MEPO_BADI_STRUCT'.
    a label can be defined
      LS_SUBSCRIBER-LABEL = TEXT-001.
    the position within the tabstrib can be defined
      LS_SUBSCRIBER-POSITION = 5.
    the height of the screen can be defined here. Currently we suport two screen sizes:
    value <= 7 a sevel line subscreen
    value > 7  a 16 line subscreen
      LS_SUBSCRIBER-HEIGHT = 7.
      APPEND LS_SUBSCRIBER TO RE_SUBSCRIBERS.
    ENDMETHOD.
    and for BAPI ME_PROCESS_PO_CUST in method INITIALIZE i have written following code which is also same as it's example code.
    METHOD IF_EX_ME_PROCESS_PO_CUST~INITIALIZE.
      BREAK SAB_PARTH.
      CALL FUNCTION 'MEPOBADIEX_INIT'.
    ENDMETHOD.
    NOW my problem is still this additional tab is not visible when i execute ME21n or me22n or ME23n.
        kindly suggest that what code u have implemented for this BADIs..and if i require to implement fsome more method in aby of these BADIs.

    Hi  Naimesh,
    I tried exactly what you said
    lt_comp = desc_struc->get_components( ). "Get the fields of the structure
    loop at lt_comp into ls_comp.
    lo_elem_desc ?= cl_abap_elemdescr=>describe_by_name( ls_comp-name ).
    lf_dfies = lo_elem_desc->get_ddic_field( ).
    WRITE: / lf_dfies-scrtext_s,
           / lf_dfies-scrtext_m,
           / lf_dfies-scrtext_l.
    WRITE:/ ls_comp-name. " Write the column names
    endloop.
    It Works fine for Matnr because field name and data element are same but when it comes to werks it gives me a dump because the date element is different werks_d
    I just tried hard coding werks_d and it works fine
    lo_elem_desc ?= cl_abap_elemdescr=>describe_by_name( 'WERKS_D' ).
    lf_dfies = lo_elem_desc->get_ddic_field( ).
