Prerequisites for BPM
Hi Freinds,
We have recently installed PI 7.1 and have started developments. I am trying to use BPM in some of the scenarios.
Its not working. I checked with TC SXMB_MONI_BPE but couldn't find any messages. I referred with our basis team who raised the issue of some prerequisites before using BPM.
Are there any settings / configurations specific pre-requisites before working with BPM. As per my understanding BPM needs BP Engine for execution.
Reply ASAP.
Thanks
John
Hi Friend,
I already checked that one. The BP engine is running.
Thanks
John

Issue in SOA Suite Installation - prerequisite for AIA 3.0 Installation
We are facing an issue in SOA Suite Installation which is prerequisite for AIA 3.0 Installation. As per AIA 3.0 Installation Guide, the Web Logic Server version to be used is “Web Logic Server 11g R1 10.3.1“ for Linux86 32bit Version.
After Installation of SOA Suite on Linux Environment, the em console page is not opening.

Any prerequisites for using javascripts (JS) in SAP BPC 7.5NW (SP5)
Hi,
I keep getting evalution and parsing errors, every time I use a JS in my conversion files. It simple standard JS, like:
js:parseInt(%external%)
js:%external%.substring(2,5)
etc
Are there any prerequisites for using javascripts ??
Is there anywhere I can debug these JS withing SAP BW ?
Thank you,
JoergenGersh,
It works now. I have implemented the below code (ENTITY needed to contain the variable as well). The relationship profitcenter and entity is very important as it derives the relevant profitcenters from the profit center hierarchy (e.g. all profitcenters under the legalentity node).
//ALLOCATION PROCEDURE CONVERSION RATE
//=====================================

*RUNALLOCATION
*FACTOR=1
*DIM SEBACCOUNT WHAT=CONV_RATE; WHERE=<<<; USING=<<< ; TOTAL=<<<

What are the prerequisites for upgrading to CU7
I've been trying to get a definitive list of prerequisites for the upgrade to Exchange 2013 CU7, but every time I find another site with info it says something different.
I know I need to have Domain functional level at 2008 SP1 to run the Schema extension, no problem there. However, I found something that tells me I need to have the Exchange servers running .NET Framework 4.5.2 and Windows Management Framework 4.0, but the
same site then says this is actually needed on the machine used to prepare AD. that means it needs to be one of the domain controllers running these.
Other sites say these need to be installed but do not say which server(s) need them.
Can anyone give me the list of prerequisites? The information I managed to find on the Microsoft site mentioned nothing about the domain functional level, I only found this requirement after trying to run the schema extension and getting a report the DFL
needs to be 2003 native mode or above, I ran a targeted search for DFL requirements and found a table listing this for different versions of Exchange.
This is frustrating to say the least, makes carrier pigeons seem a viable alternative right now! Thanks to everyone who has replied, but the fact 3 different people have replied and given varying replies is what I was talking about.
Microsoft, in the prerequisites information found at
https://technet.microsoft.com/library/bb691354(v=exchg.150).aspx say this
Active Directory preparation
The computer you want to use to prepare Active Directory for Exchange 2013 has specific prerequisites that must be met.
Install the following software, in the order shown, on the computer that will be used to prepare Active Directory:
The version of Microsoft .NET Framework that corresponds to the version of Exchange 2013 you're installing.
Exchange CU7 and later .NET Framework 4.5.2
Exchange CU6 and earlier .NET Framework 4.5.1
The version of Windows Management Framework that corresponds to the version of Exchange 2013 you're installing.
Exchange 2013 SP1 or later Windows Management Framework 4.0
Exchange 2013 CU3 Windows Management Framework 3.0
but from what others say, installing .NET 4.5.2 before installing CU7 will break Exchange services.
I think I'm just going to try the schema extension without installing anything and see what happens, if I still have my job after this I will let you know -

How to setup the cluster environment for BPM using weblogic
want to setup the cluster environment for BPM using weblogic....
i have installed the oracle weblogic server 10gr3 and oracle BPM enterprise for weblogic 10gR3
i have used the Admin tools from the "oracle BPM enterprise for weblogic" to setup the configuration and create the weblogic domain servers.
i can launch the process administrator and import the project exp file to domain server.
but what should i do to setup cluster environment using weblogic?
what i want to do is :
setup one admin machine..
setup two product machine..
enable the cluster so the admin machine can monitor the status of the product machine..
thanks a lot ...The install guide at http://download-llnw.oracle.com/docs/cd/E13154_01/bpm/docs65/config_guide/index.html gives a reasonable amount of info on how to do this.
Personally I have not used the OBPM option to configure WebLogic instead I've used the information in the above install guide to create the weblogic domain in advance of configuring OBPM.
Once you've setup WebLogic configure OBPM using the values I mention in the following thread: How to set the JMX Engine parameter in Process Administation?
Let me know any specific config questions and I'll do my best to answer them for you.
Thanks,

PREREQUISITE FOR PURCHASE ORDER MASS MAINTENENCE
Dear Experts,
Please explain the prerequisite points for the purchase order Mass Maintenance.
i want to set Delivery completed indicator for the open purchase orders.
is it prerequisite for setting the deletion flag to the purchase order items.
if delivered quantity is more the PO order quantity, it is not allowing to set the deletion flag
also it issues the warning message of release PO - Release already affected.
Please explain the concept in brief.
Thanks in AdvanceHi,
When you set the "delivery completed" indicator, it considers a purchase order item to be closed. This means that no more goods receipts are expected for this item. If the "delivery completed" indicator is set, the open purchase order quantity becomes zero, even if the full quantity has not been delivered. It is still possible to post goods receipts for the remaining quantities.
When you set the "delivery completed" indicator:
The purchase order item is considered closed, even though the total quantity may not have been delivered.
Although a further delivery is not expected, it is still possible.
At the time of the next goods receipt, the system suggests the item as unselected in the item selection list.
The purchase order item can be deleted, even if the total quantity was not delivered..
Thanks and Regards,

Please can you give inputs when we go for BPM?

Swarna.Hi Swarna,
Business Process Management is the automation of those employee activities that cost the company valuable time and money.
It is readily understandable by all business users, from the business analysts that create the initial drafts of the processes, to the technical developers responsible for implementing the technology that will perform those processes, and finally, to the business people who will manage and monitor those processes.
It creates a standardized bridge for the gap between the business process design and process implementation.
Cheers,

Hi,
I want to know when exactly we go for bpm and how to work simple bpm scenario.Hi Sreenu,
BPM is used for Stateful communications, suppose u have to delay message processing,or wait for other messages to arrive and then semd them all together,in that case use BPM.
We will use BPM when ever we want to do the following:
1.Controling or Monitoring of messages in XI
2. Collect or Merge the messages in XI
3. Split the messages in XI
4. Multicast a Message
5. Need to send an Alert
6. Transformation
With its BPM capability, SAP NetWeaver:
Exploits business-process efficiency by giving your business
users the ability to directly model, manage, monitor, and
analyze business processes
Enables continuous process improvement and the dynamic
modification of business processes
Extends the value of your companys core business investment
and maximizes the return on its strategic assets by providing
the ability to change process rules without additional IT
investment
Provides greater visibility into critical business operations for
better decision making by delivering the right information at
the right time
Allows the integration of people, applications, and internal
and external resources
Process step types:
Message relevant:
Receive: We use it to receive a message. By receiving a message we are sending the data into process. We can use it to start a process. We can use it for activating or using correlations.
Send: We use it to send either an asynchronous or synchronous message or an acknowledgement.
Receiver Determination: We use it to get a list of receivers for sub sequent send step. It calls the receiver determination that we configured in the integration directory and returns receivers list.
Transformation: We use it to change a message inside the process. E.g. bundling multiple messages into 1 or splits a message into multiple.
Using this we can create N:1 or 1:N or 1:1 transformations. In general scenario 1:N transformation is possible.
Process flow control Relevant:
Container: We use it to set a value for target container element at runtime. Target container element and assigned value must have same value.
Control: We use it to terminate the current process and to trigger an exception and to trigger an alert.
While Loop: To repeat the execution of steps within the loop.
Fork: We use it when you want to continue a process in branches that are independent of each other. E.g. to communicate with two systems that are independent to each other
Block: We use it to combine steps that you want to execute one after the other and which are to access the local data.
Empty: It has no influence on the process flow. We use it as a place holder for a step that has not yet been defined, and as a step with no functions for test purposes.
Wait: We use it to incorporate a delay in the process.
Switch: We use it to define different processing branches for a process
T.Codes for B.P.M:
SXMB_MONI_BPE
SXWF_XI_SW11
For Example a Small Explanation reg BPM for this Req we used BPM
A background program should be scheduled to run every 10 minutes to analyse any material records that have been created or changed or deleted that have occurred to the material master records in the last minute.
There are two Message Mappings involved in the whole scenario. First mapping is N:1 Mapping which will be used in BPM and second Mapping is 1:1 Mapping:
1. First Message Mapping N: 1 u2013 Mapping between IDoc (occurrence u2013 0...unbounded in u201CMessagesu201D tab) to IDoc with changed occurrence of its top node (IDOC) as 0...unbounded. This message mapping will be used in BPM u2013 transformation step.
Description: This BPM collects all Idocs for 10 minutes which are of Message Type (ZMATMAS05) according to Receiver Partner Number (Field u2013 RCVPRN) and calls N: 1 mapping to bundle the collected Idocs in a One External Definition for that IDOC.
Use
You use a wait step ( ) to incorporate a delay in a process. Usually, you use a delay to define when the next step in the process is to start. You can define a delay as either a point in time or a period of time.
At runtime, the step waits until the specified point in time is reached or the specified period of time has passed. The system then continues the process by proceeding with the next step.

We have been live with alert framework for some time, but we recently noticed we are not getting alerts when mapping fails within a BPM.
All other errors are being alerted to us properly. Is there something we need to configure differently for BPM?
Thanks in advance,
MichaelHi,
Did you trigger alert from BPM ? Check the Alert sending step in the BPM.
This SAP note on ALert Trougbleshooting may help u-913858
Alerts triggered from BPM e.g- /people/michal.krawczyk2/blog/2005/03/13/alerts-with-variables-from-the-messages-payload-xi--updated
In the BPM, u can configure the Exception Branch for the Mapping. Whenever mapping exception occurs, you can trigger an alert

E-REC EHP5 - Prerequisites for MSS user for Create Requisition request
We are implementing E-REC EHP5. As a MSS user when line manager tries to create requisition request on portal, although it takes on a new page called "Stat Processes" we are getting error "no data available" and hence can not proceed on that page. We have assigned R3 role "SAP_RCF_REQUISITION_REQUESTER" to the line manager and on portal we have assigned him MSS user role.
Is there any other prerequisite for the said functionality of Create Requisition request.Hi,
In the IMG, navigate to :
Personnel Management -> HR Administrative Services -> Configuration of Forms/Processes -> Process Configuration
-> IMG activity "Test Process"
Enter the process name "HR_MSSRCF_REQUISITION" and execute (F8). You should see the form scenario data in table view. Use the F4 help in the "Field Value" column for those entries where the "Value Help" column is checked. You should get a pop-up with the field values. If not you need to make sure that HR_MSSRCF_REQUISITION iis linked to form scenario S_HRMSSRCF_REQUISITION in table T5ASRPRSCFORM. Also make sure that you have the last SP for the ERP common parts BP 1.51 installed in your portal. Finally assign role SAP_RCF_RECRUITER_ERC_CI_2 and SAP_RCF_MANAGER to your recruiter.
Hope it helps,
Kind Regards

Configuration Scenario for BPM Using Integration Scenario
hi All,
I Have an Scenario where i am using BPM. Most of the blog tells about manually creating all Configuration objects. I had created an Integration Scenario for this scenario by referring to the earlier threads available for same.
Hoe to Create Integration Scenario for BPM Scenario
Integration Scenario in BPM and few more.
My IS looks like
Sender App Component - Integration Process - Receiver App Component
Now when i am trying to create Configuration scenario for same using model configurator, i am getting Model as "Not Configurable"
And when i click "Configurability Check" Button, i am getting below as status:
Component view IS_POC_BPM: Connection from receivePayload to getABSPayload does not have an inbound service interface
Component view IS_POC_BPM : Connection from sendABSPayload to getPayload has no outbound interface
getABSPayload and sendABSPayload are actions for Abstract interfaces.
IS_POC_BPM is the Integration Process Name.
Also in Integration Scenario, when i create connection between sender action to BPM action there is no inbound interface coming. And viceversa.
Please help me in identifying if i am doing any thing wrong in creating this scenario.
Is it possible to create Configuration Scenario for BPM Using Integration Scenario?
Thanks,
Mayank
Edited by: Mayank Gupta on Apr 21, 2010 6:35 AMI think you shoudl refer the available Integration Scenarios created for BPMs in IR --> SAP BASIS --> http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/Patterns
Sender template will have the Action with Outbound Service Interface and then in the BPM Template the action will have Inbound Interface.....then within the BPM itself this inbound will be mapped to Action with Abstract Interface
may be after looking the Integration scenarios you will get more idea

Demo users for BPM in Oracle BPM Suite 11.1.1.4 (Patchset 3)
Hello,
In the previous release a utility was made available to insert demo users for BPM (demo-community.zip)
See also
http://blogs.oracle.com/middleware/2010/07/installing_seeded_users_for_bpm_11113_on_linux.html
Could I (re)use this utility in order to test BPM with an existing security schema? Or will a changed utility be made available for BPM 11.1.1.4 (PS3)?
Regards LéonI used this on 11.1.1.4, running the ant script and using a customized input file ( -Dinput.file=... ) and it seemed to work fine.
