Presenter 9 trial installation unsuccessful
I downloaded the Presenter 9 trial, ran the setup.exe file, rebooted, and when I open PPT I don't have the Adobe Presenter ribbon. What am I doing wrong? Can someone tell me what else I need to do to install this?
Hi Christine,
To make the Presenter tab reappear in an installation of PowerPoint, you will need to re-enable the Presenter add-in by following these steps:
1. Go to the Start Menu and select All Programs. Locate PowerPoint in the Microsoft Office folder. Hold down the Shift key AND right-click on “POWERPOINT” Select the option to “Run as Administrator.” ----->
2. Once PowerPoint is open, click on the File tab and find Options, located towards very the bottom of the menu.
<----
3. In the new window that appears, select the “Add-Ins” option on the left-hand menu. Next, look for the drop down menu toward the bottom of the window, next to the word “Manage.” Make sure the menu is set to the “COM Add-Ins” option, then click the “Go” button located directly to the right.
4. In the COM Add-Ins box that appears, you will see a list of “available add-ins,” some of which will be selected via check box. Locate the “Adobe Presenter PowerPoint COM Add-In. Its button will be unchecked if disabled.
Un-check all the boxes EXCEPT for the “Adobe Presenter PowerPoint Com Add-In,” and then click the “Remove” button on the right.
5. Once the Presenter Add-In has been removed from the list of “available add-ins,” click the “Add” button on the right.
6. When prompted to locate the new add-in, navigate to C:\Program Files\Adobe\Presenter 7 and select the file named “MenuLauncher.dll.” Click “OK” to continue.
NOTE: Some users may find the appropriate file at this location: C:\Program Files(x86)\Adobe\Presenter 7
7. When returned to the COM Add-Ins box, verify that the reappearance of the “Adobe Presenter PowerPoint COM Add-In” under the list of “available add-ins.” Click “OK” when ready.
8. Exit Microsoft PowerPoint completely, then open it again via the Start Menu (as you would normally). The “Adobe Presenter” tab should now be visible once again.

Presenter 9 installation failed - can't uninstall v.8, does not appear in control panel
I am trying to install Presenter 9, but I am getting an error that says "A conflicting or prerelease version of Adobe Presenter 9.0 exists on this computer. The conflicting version must be removed before installing from the current media.". From what I have read on the forums, I am interpreting this to mean I should uninstall Presenter 8 first. According to the instructions, I should be able to remove it using the Programs and Features control panel, but Presenter does not appear there (if I open PPT it is still there, so I know v.8 is still installed). I have tried using the AdobeCreativeCloudCleanerTool but Presenter does not appear as an option for removal. Can you please tell me how I can uninstall Presenter 8 so I can install Presenter 9? I am using PPT 2010 32 bit and trying to install Presenter 9 32 bit. Thanks.
Yes, I Presenter 7 was installed before Presenter 8. I have Windows 7.
I found my old thread here: http://forums.adobe.com/message/5080369
I followed that. Here is what I have done:
I ran the reg file from http://blogs.adobe.com/captivate/2012/08/resolution-adobe-presenter-8-installer-issue.html
I deleted all the folders and files related to Presenter 7 or 8 in
C Drive> Users > Your User Name>App Data > Local > Adobe >
and App Data > Roaming > Adobe >
I reinstalled everything.
So far so good. -

Getting an error trying to run the Adobe Presenter trial .exe file because it is requiring that the file be placed in a designated folder with the other downloaded file. How do I solve this problem?
Thanks, the offset command worked well. I did have to modify the script some more, there was really no reason for the first repeat loop using the offset command. Also, I had set my text item delimiters to tab for another script, and that was causing problems running this script. I think I have everything fixed now. This is the final version.
set my_folder to choose folder
tell application "Finder"
set myfolderstring to name of my_folder as string
set myfolderlist to every character of myfolderstring
end tell
set mycolorlist to {"A_Green", "B_Teal", "C_Purple", "D_Pink", "E_Yellow", "F_Orange", "G_Blue", "H_Black"}
set my_break to offset of "_" in myfolderstring
set the_code to items 1 thru (my_break - 1) of myfolderlist
set the_code to the_code as string
repeat with i from 1 to number of items in mycolorlist
set the_color to item i of mycolorlist
tell application "Finder"
make new folder at my_folder with properties {name:the_code & "_" & the_color}
end tell

Premier Elements Trial Installation goes into oblivion
Windows 7 64 bit 16 GB memory / Premier Elements Trial Installation goes off into oblivion
I started the installer, ready privacy policy (sort of), chose English, clicked Install. Installer disappears from the screen and the harddrive winks madly for about a half hour. Don't see the program in control panel or installed programs. Re-downloaded, same results.
I've had no installation issues with any other SW including Lightroom 3 and Photoshop CS4. What the heck is going on here? - Help appreciated, IMTroubleshooting installation issues can be a daunting task. Also, most of us on the forum have not had installation issues, so we can only go by what we have read, that has worked for others - little, to no, direct experiences.
Usually, a failure to install is specific to certain aspects, and settings on a particular computer - after one follows the very general guidelines.
If there is a product that is installing and working, that would be a good reason to go with that one, even though it is not from Adobe. Though I have been a big Adobe fan for decades, I still rely on some other programs, that do things that my Adobe suites do not do, or do not do as well. No shame in having a full "toolbox," for when you need something else.
I understand your frustration, and wish that I had some easy "fixes," but after the guidelines in that linked article, things do get very involved.
Good luck, and happy editing,

Hello,
I am a subscriber to Adobe Captivate 6 and am in the middle of a 30 day trial of Adobe Presenter. I use Windows 7 Enterprise and have the the 64 bit version of Adobe Captivate 6. I also use Power Point 2007.
I cannot do a software simulation within Adobe Presenter. When I try, I get the error message that Adobe Captivate cannot be started ....
Can anyone help?
RyanRegarding this issue error message "(keine Rückmeldung)" / No Response as it's creating the swf file...
It should display the preview window after sometimes. Please wait for sometimes, if No Response text comes. This issue is normally caused due to system load or performance issue. You may face similar issue while publishing, please wait for sometime, till publish finishes.
Regarding this issue.Fatal error in Power Point with Adobe Presenter add-in. If you have seen this error several times, you should deactivate the Add-In and check to see if an update is available. Would you like to deactivate the add-In?
Do you face this issue always? This issue normally arises due to faulty presenter installation or Windows 7 SP1 not installed. This error message doesn't hinder with normal Presenter functioning. If you choose to disable it from this error dialog, then you have to enable it again as per the above steps. -

When I install Adobe Presenter 10 64-bit for trial and Windows 7, it says I have to use disk to continue the installation. How do I get a disk for Presenter 10?

Please copy the contents of a common folder to the Presenter32 bit or Presenter64 bit which one you are trying to install. Please check the scree shot mentioned below. You need to copy all the contents from common folder to Presenter 64 bit or 32 bit and paste it inside the payloads folder.
Then try to install .
Please let me know if that works.

I am trying to install the Captivate 4 Trial (I have
Captivate 3 on another laptop). Upon setup I get error message,
"Installation can't proceed until the following applications are
closed: AdobeCaptivate.exe" But I do not have Captivate running
anywhere. I formerly had Captivate 3 on this laptop, but removed it
and also removed any related files, registries etc. just to prevent
a conflict. Can anyone tell me what I am missing?
thanks
MagThe solution to your problem is discussed here: http://forums.adobe.com/message/5465181#5465181
Also note, you will need the 32 bit version of PPT 2013 installed, as the 64 bit version is not supported. As such, you will need to install the 32 bit version of Presenter.

DW CS3 Trial Installation ISSUE!!
I've been trying for about a week to install this trial
version on my work computer - we're switching from GoLive and want
to make sure that this is the right thing for us. I have Windows XP
Professional version 2002 with Service Pack 2. I have
plenty of space. The download process seems to go fine, and
when I go to install, the extraction process appears to come off
with out a hitch. But when the actual installation occurs, it won't
work. Every single time I do it, I get an error at the finish,
saying 3 things:
-Successfully installed: 1 component(s):
Shared components
-Errors: 2 component(s):
Adobe Dreamweaver CS3 - component install failed
Shared Components - component install failed.
2 questions:
1) Why is the dang thing contradicting itself? It tells me
that the shared components were both installed successfully and
that the install failed. Uh. So which is it? I can see Bridge, etc.
in my program files, so I assume it installed ok. And yet this
tells me that the install failed.
2) What in the world am I doing wrong??? One of the tech guys
here has been trying to install it as well (on my machine) and he
has been equally unsuccessful. He DID manage to install it on his
machine fine though - with AutoCad running and everything. Our
network admin said that my machine is pretty new, so there
shouldn't be any problems with it.
Any ideas...???I´ve got exactly the same answer at the end of the
installation process. I´ve tried several times and cannot have
a sucessful installation. I have Windows XP sp2 plenty of space too
(more than 100GB of disk space and 2GB of RAM) what´s the
problem?
Thank you -
Presenter 7 installs, but no "Adobe Presenter" menu in PowerPoint
System: Windows Vista SP1 with Office 2007.
Presenter 6.1 has always worked for me without issues.
I saw that Presenter 7 had been released, so I grabbed the
trial version, uninstalled Presenter 6.1, and Installed Presenter
7. Installation completes without issues. However, when PowerPoint
is loaded, there is no Adobe Presenter menu present. I followed the
instructions in the release notes for enabling a disabled add-in,
but Presenter was not listed as an add-in (disabled or not).
I've tried a repair installation, I've removed and
reinstalled, nothing gives me the Adobe Presenter tab in PowerPoint
2007.
Anyone else experience this and found a solution? I can't
wait to get my hands on Presenter 7, but if I can't get it
installed, it's useless to me.
For now, I reinstalled Presenter 6.1, and it is back and
working fine.Hi All,
To answer this, first we need to check if Adobe Presenter is installed on the computer system we are dealing with.
The easiest and the quickest way would be to go to Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs > Program Features and check within the list of instralled applications.
Once this is verified, launch Microsoft Power Point 2007 and click on the MS Office button on the top left.
* From the drop down, select PowerPoint options.
* Click on the Add Ins Tab on the left hand pane.
* On the bottom of this page next to 'Manage' click the drop down list to select 'Disabled Items' and click 'GO'.
* A second box would appear. On this smalll box click and highlight Adobe Presenter Com Add In from the list and click on 'Enable'.
* Close Powerpoint window and relaunch MS Powerpoint.
* You should now have the Adobe Presenter Tab available on the top menu bar for MS Powerpoint 2007.
