Presenter and PowerPoint 2007

My animations pieces do not seem to work unless I ungroup
them with PowerPoint 2007. However if I use the same files and use
create the Presenter file with PowerPoint 2003 the grouped files
work. Does this mean that I must ungroup all my files if I want to
create Presenter files? This is a big bummer since some of my
complex illustrations need to be grouped. Is anyone else having
problems with PowerPoint 2007 and Presenter? Before my whole team
upgrades I would like feedback.

Hi There,
Yes you need to uninstall Adobe Presenter first before upgrading your Office as Presenter is an addin to the PowerPoint. As such there is no issues using Presenter 10 in Office 2010.

  • PDF and PowerPoint 2007, strange slides and handouts

I'm getting strange output when I create a presentation in PowerPoint and print to Acrobat. The problems happen whether I print Slides or Handouts.
-- On some slides, the slide title is partially or completely missing.
-- In grayscale mode, some graphics show up in color.
    -- Solid-color shapes (boxes) show up cross-hatched.
-- For handouts only, some slides have headers and footers, and others do not.
I'm using PowerPoint 2007, up to date, and Acrobat Professional 9.1.3.
I've used PowerPoint and Acrobat for many years and only recently began to have these problems. I've tried changing some of the endless printing options in Acrobat, but nothing I've found so far has made a difference.
Those problems (with the possible exception of the color graphics in grayscale mode, I don't remember) do not happen when I print to Microsoft's XPS format.
    Any ideas?
    Thank you!

Thank you! That's helping a lot. I don't see how to get grayscale in that route, but at least I'm getting proper color handouts, no errors. Plus it outputs much faster. Hmmm. I haven't tried saving in PPT format instead of PPTX. And then there's an Excel spreadsheet that takes several minutes to output 14 pages via print to Adobe PDF printer (it used to be much faster, I don't know why it suddenly slowed down, I didn't change the spreadsheet), I wonder if that would be faster if I saved in PDF format rather than printing to the Adobe PDF printer.
Again, thank you. You have helped, plus you gave me leads to follow.

  • Presenter 7 - PowerPoint 2007 Tables

I am using Adobe Presenter 7 with PowerPoint 2007. I have
added some tables to my presentation. The text (default Calibri
font) is illegible after publishing with Presenter.
If I save my presentation in 2003 format and then publish,
the text looks fine, but other images look bad.
    Any advice?
    Thank you.
    --David

I tried publishing with high image quality, but the text
    appears the same (practically illegible).

  • Acrobat 9 pro extended and Powerpoint 2007

It seems that PPT 2007 and Acrobat 9 has issues with maintaining PPT's
    animations.
I have "Preserve Slide Transitions" checked in adobe preferences, but the
transitions do not seem to be preserved.
Is there a setting I am missing, or is this just a bug between PPT &
    Acrobat?
I will cross-post this in MS powerpoint newsgroup.
    Thanks

If I start another trial on another computer in my lan then I can't ? Because Acrobat Extended and Distiller work great but Reviewer 3d never start at all.

  • Error Message when emailing a Presentation within PowerPoint 2007

I have a user that is having issues when trying to email a Document/Presentation within the MS application. The user goes to Office Button>Send>Email and Receives :"An error occured while sending the presentation". I have completed a MS Office repair
and have even uninstalled and reistalled the suite.
Any other tips to get this issue resolved?

    Hello,
I have a couple follow up questions that might help narrow down the issue.
    1. Do you see this error message with all PowerPoint files?
    2. Does Send | Email work with any other Office application?
    3. What is your default email client?
    4. If you click Start | Run | and type "mailto:" and press Ok, what happens?

  • Adobe Presenter 7 and PowerPoint 2010. No Import audio from presentation button

In Adobe Presenter 7 and PowerPoint 2007 I have the ability to import existing audio narrations by clicking on Import and then clicking the "Import from presentation" button. The button is missing in PowerPoint 2010. Any ideas on how to get it back?

    Hello,
In PowerPoint 2010; "Import Audio from PowerPoint" is missing .We have logged bug for this. And we will definitely fix this in next release of Presenter. Please use PowerPoint 2007 to use this feature.

  • Import powerpoint 2007 animation to Captivate 3

    I've created a single-slide presentation in powerpoint 2007
that has an animated smart art that flys on to the screen. I saved
my powerpoint 2007 file as a ppt not pptx. I imported the file to
Captivate 3 as animation. but when I preview the project, the
animation just shows up as a non-animated object. It doesn't have
any of the animated qualities of the original powerpoint.
See this link to see what I'm talking about:
    http://screencast.com/t/zgTOYx35Bd

I would agree that recording the animation as it plays in PPT
could help. That is how I have done several of my animations rather
    than import them.
What I have found in the process is make sure you set the
Captivate screen to only cover the area of powerpoint where the
animation takes place. That is, you can have powerpoint in a slide
view and click the play test button to record but only record the
    slide area.
Another thing you may want to do is be sure the animation in
powerpoint has a delay to begin with. This gives you time to first
click record (I am using full motion recording here) and let the
captivate red box go a way and then click the Play button in
    powerpoint.
This sounds kind of crazy as I type it here but it works.
Trying to record a complete powerpoint slide show was more
problimatic to me than doing it the way I describe. For one thing,
the resulting animation is very large. I prefer the smaller slide
    size animation/recording.
I hope this help. Still not sure what else to to tell

  • Acrobat 7 Std compatible with PowerPoint 2007

I have Acrobat 7 Standard Edition; have used it for years with Office 2003.  Recently I updated my PowerPoint 2003 to 2007, and now when I go to convert my 07 PowerPoint to a PDF I get the following message "Missing PDF Maker files" "Do you want to run the installer in repair mode?"  I run it in repair mode and it just does the same thing over again.  However when I convert any of the other Office 2003 doc to a PDF it's fine, so I am thinking it's a compatibility issue with version Acrobat 7 and PowerPoint 2007, can anyone confirm?

You will have to print to the Aodbe PDF printer. That is your only option, unless you either want to backup to an earlier version of OFFICE or upgrade Acrobat. The first version to work with OFFICE 2007 was AA8.1.2 (maybe 1). Bill

  • Will Acrobat XI export pdf to PowerPoint 2007?

I am using PowerPoint 2007, and would like to know what editions of PowerPoint the Acrobat XI export feature can convert a pdf to"

    Hi Xeno1,
Acrobat XI converts PDF into PPTX format and PowerPoint 2007 understands PPTX very well.
To know all MS Office Applications vs Acrobat version compatibility, please refer to following link:

  • Exporting to Powerpoint 2007 using the 2007 formats

I'm currently running Xcelsius 2208 and Office 2007.  Because I was the first to get Office 2007 I've had to continue saving in the Office 97-2003 format (.ppt).  Now that everyone has caugth up if I save in the .pptx or .pptm format the .swf appears to disappear after the file is saved and reopened.  Does the .swf only run in the .ppt mode?

    Hi Maureen,
You have to keep saving as PPT because PowerPoint does not support embedded Adobe Flash files in a PPTX (Office 2007).
Refer to the Export to Microsoft Word 2007 and PowerPoint 2007 in the General Issues section of the Xcelsius 2008 release notes.

  • Presenter 10 and Upgrade of PowerPoint From PowerPoint 2007 to PowerPoint 2010

  • Exporting Keynote 4.0 to Powerpoint 2007 and 2008

I know that this topic has been discussed previously with respect to Powerpoint 2007 but I'm somewhat frustrated with the export to powerpoint feature in Keynote. Some background:
    1. Using keynote since version 1.0
    2. Never had a significant problems with exporting to Powerpoint 2004 (minor issues aside)
    3. Keynote files exported to .ppt don't open in Powerpoint 2007/2008 (exect very basic files). Exported file can be opened in 2004....
    4. Thought that it was an issue with Powerpoint but after trying various combinations now convinced that it is Keynote.
    Any ideas?

I have the same problem. When I export a Keynote 4.0.1 presentation to Powerpoint, it cannot be played with the new Powerpoint 2008 on that same Mac (Powerpoint crashes), and it cannot be played on a Windows machine with Powerpoint 2007 (puts Powerpoint into a weird state).
I can take that exported Powerpoint to my iMac where I haven't upgraded to Office 2008 and play it on the older Powerpoint 2004. If I bring the exported Powerpoint (from Keynote 4.0.1) into Powerpoint 2004 and then do a SaveAs from Powerpoint 2004, I can play THAT EXPORT with Powerpoint 2008 on my MacBook Pro.
Keynote 4.0.1 needs to be fixed soonest!

  • Present video and powerpoint side-by-side

I am searching for an easy way to merge a powerpoint presentation and a video clip (of presenter) side-by-side and produce it into one Flash video for streaming on our website. Can it be done in Flash CS4? Or, is there another Adobe program that can do this for me? Or, do I have to look for another vendor to acomplish this, what I thought would be an easy task?

    kglad,
thanks for your reply. Sounds like this may work, but being a Flash novice, would you be able to direct me to some "how to" documents and/or online video of how I can do this, especially the "load it and your flv into a master swf"?

  • Powerpoint Presentation and Captivate

I have finished a Powerpoint presentation that I would like
to try and put into Captivate to help with recording and laying
down narration, but have run into problems. It does not record the
transitions or animation I have put into the Powerpoint
presentation and chops it up. Is there a way to record through
Capitvate without having a chopped up movie?

    Hi there bsostre
I have a question. Why do you want to turn Powerpoint into
Captivate for the simple task of adding narration if you have
already done all the hard work in Powerpoint?? My suggestion is to
rather download a programme such as "Audacity" to record and edit
your narrations and then attach those narrations to the relevant
Powerpoint slides with autostart on slide opening. The only other
thing to do then would be to set the timings of your slides for a
smooth transition aligned to the narration.
Please shout again if this is "NOT HELPING DUDE"
    Cheers
    Andrew
PS Audacity is freeware sound editing programme

  • Issues with a PowerPoint 2007 presentation in a Share POD

    Hello everybody.
Today I held a CP8 presentation hosted at the following URL:
       https://connectpro825084440.preview.adobeconnect.com/robertozini
While I was arranging things some days before the meeting, I noticed that a PPT 2007 presentation I "preloaded" into CP8 (in my CONTENT space) sometime got stuck when depicted on the share pod; all I had (both in meeting host/presenter/ pod) was the revolving "Adobe Presenter" logo but nothing was depicted on the pod.
Please notice that, in the past few days, I made several changes in the PPT 2007 file; each time I wanted to test the file in a meeting session, I switched to the WEB admin console, selected Content -> User Content -> <my_name> -> <my_folder> -> <my_presentation> and clicked over the "Upload Content" as to "refresh" the content itself.
During my tests, once in the meeting room , I selected a share pod -> Share Document -> My Content -> <my_folder> -> <my_presentation> ; when the issue was noticed (again, that did not always happen)  I had the revolving "Adobe Presenter" logo but nothing was depicted.
Once this happened during my tests, I did exit and re-enter the meeting and shared the presentation again and this fixed this issue; today, during a presentation I gave to some customers. when I switched from a layout to the one which had the Share pod with my PPT file, one customer completely lost my presentation (grey screen) whereas the other one was able to see it fine.
I had a WinXP+SP3 box here I use as a test box and, on this box, I was unable to see my PPT (again, the Adobe Presenter revolving logo). I tried by [Stop Sharing] the presentation and by reloading from content but unsuvvessfully (as a Host, I also had the revolving logo depicted).
I was lucky since I was at the very end of the presentation but this behaviour was rather weird and embarassing...
Please let me know if you want to access my PPT file (no presenter stuff inserted) as to reproduce the behaviour.
    Thanks,
    Roberto

    Hello!
Can you enable the meeting add-in logs on your computer, and try the upload again? Once you have the add-in logs please attach them here.
